Their oysters are very fresh, and they let you add the toppings by yourself so if you don't want the hot sauce, you don't have to put any on it or dump it out. Sushi tastes okay, similar to most sushi restaurants. Staff are always talking constantly though, its strange interrupting their conversation for something so I wish they didn't socialize as much. I liked the modern atmosphere and the comfy chairs! The room felt like it was the midnight sky. Very fresh sushi! I was there with my friend and they had lunch special menu. We shared the spicy tuna and futo maki roll. The beef teriyaki bento box was nice as well. It came with a piece of orange which i though it was kinda odd. Very average sushi. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing was exciting about it either. The rolls were small and held together weakly. The shrimp tempura was flavorless, as were most of the others. I wouldn't order from here again simply because there are better local options at the same appealing price point that serve the same rolls with more flavor. We ordered delivery and were also disappointed by the small amount of soy sauce that accompanied the order and the lack of even a single napkin. This is my local go-spot for sushi. I usually go there for the lunch special (usually until 3:30pm on the weekdays). Tonight I was in the mood for sushi, so I ordered a delivery. I ordered miso soup, Philadelphia Roll, Alaskan Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Eel Avocado Roll. They came together in one box. Everything was very fresh. The amount of fish that was in each roll was perfect and just enough. The rolls are all big in size, which is always great! The only downside was that they provided only one set of chopsticks. I wish they can put at least two pairs of chopsticks. The delivery guy was very nice and not rude at all. I think I will prefer to order delivery for the future references. read more

I drove by Nagoya a few times and thought that they were closed since the place was shut down and they didn't post any signs in the storefront. But then they reopened, apparently after renovations, so I came in. I wasn't really impressed and wouldn't come back here. I found the sushi rolls to have very little fish and very poorly held together. I ordered a few more rolls and asked for extra fish so it came out better but they charged me double. The salmon, eel, tuna, octopus, and yellowtail weren't good. I can't say that it was bad but I also can't exactly say that it was good -- it was like blahhhh ok. Ordered in this evening, and the restaurant was considerate enough to call me to ask if I could substitute a drink for something they were out of. Then, the deliveryman called me apologetically from my lobby, and asked if I could please come downstairs to pick up the order because things were hectic this evening. He thanked me profusely, and we wished each other a Happy New Year. But onto the food. Since they received good reviews online, I decided to try some interesting things. I got the Kani salad, which consisted of julienned lobster, mango and greens with a delicious sweet dressing. The beef teriyaki was well done, with a savory sauce and white rice. To top it off, I tried the amazing Oreo mousse cake - deliciously chocolatey and light as a feather, with just the right amount of sweetness. Yummy! All in all, I had a pleasant first experience, and will definitely order from them again in the New Year! read more

I'm not even sure how I live so close to Nagoya and the first time I try the food is this past Friday. I'm mortified, because the sushi I've been eating from this neighborhood is a 5 and this I could definitely say is a 10. From A - Z every sushi dish we ordered was absolutely phenomenal. Like seriously, perfect fish. The colors of the tuna, salmon and sea bass was just amazing. Perfect quality would be a total understatement. I ordered a salmon teriyaki dish which was surprisingly very cheap for the large portion they gave. I also had these few pieces of seared crusted tuna! Ah my mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Edemame was fresh and nicely boiled. I want to kick myself for not knowing about this place sooner. Definitely becoming a regular here. This order was a delivery and came to us perfectly packed with nothing ruined in the travel. I look forward to going to Nagoya and trying them in house. I was in the mood for some Japanese food today and decided to try a local Sushi Japanese restaurant called Nagoya. I ordered a lunch special called the "lunch bento box" for $8.95 and it came with chicken teriyaki, white rice, 2 shumai, 6 california rolls, a choice of miso soup or salad (I took the salad which was cucumbers,lettuce and french dressing). The order over the phone said 45 minutes...it arrived in about 30, which was nice since I was pretty hungry. I liked the rice...a tad sticky, but thats how I like it, so I can grab some and dip it in some soy sauce. The shumai were interesting for a 1st timer like myself. I loved the cali rolls, and as a sushi beginner, I thought they were tasty. I am not a sushi expert, but I do know bad sushi from experience and this was NOT bad, but not spectacular either. But then again they were part of a $9 lunch special...you get what you pay for. I will order from them again since the menu is just loaded with so many options and specials. I like Nagoya a lot, and I really can say i have been loyal since it opened several years ago. They are not really so expensive, but recently started raising their prices. I stick to a few rolls that I like and never really explore much. My usual order is a miso soup, or mushroom soup (delish, fulled with shitake, sprouts, and bellas, its really amazing in winter). Sometimes I get a green salad, i love their ginger dressing. For appetizers, the chicken negamaki is my favorite. I also regularly order the shumai, gyoza, and age dashi tofu, all fresh and yummy! My favorite roll is the special roll called the BIANA ROLL, its only found in their sir down menu, its shrimp tempura, tuna wrapped in soy paper, with some sweet mango sauce or something, its delicious i think its around $10. The usual regular rolls i order (around $2.5-3) are the shrimp tempura roll, alaska roll, spicy crunchy yellowtail roll, and boston roll. Honestly their are days where i eat in or take out and is fresh and delicious. Their are other days that i do delivery or takeout and its like ehh fresh, like 80% fresh, and honestly sushi is so scary and basically dangerous these days so that just doesn't cut it for me. When ever I get these ehh days from nagoya, i find myself not coming back for a few weeks and then i come back and its fabulous again. I want to give a three star for the sometimes inconsistent experiences, but for my loyalty im giving them four. read more

Brand new Sushi Restaurant in the busy area of Gravesend has really impressed me. I went here first time last night and it has a great atmosphere. Very trendy inside with cute wooden tables, drapery on the floor to ceiling windows and a waterfall that flows down the window as you walk in. They have a private room if you want to eat on pillows and in your own private hut and they also have a nice sized sushi bar. This place was very busy and they only had one waitress which meant the service was not the best, but hey its new and it will work out the kinks. The miso soup was served in ceramic bowls with ceramic spoon, so very good. Not too salty and flavored to perfection. The seaweed salad also was very good, again not to salty. The sushi was fresh, warm and huge. We ordered some special rolls which were very tasty and the spider roll was crunchy and right out of the oven tasting. I love that. Down side is they do not have a liquor license yet, which we didn't know so I was not able to get Sake, but BYOB isn't so bad especially in NY. Next time I will BYOB and enjoy my experience even better. The sushi is very reasonable too, all rolls are 2.50 and the special rolls average around 8.00 per roll. The shumai were very good too and the bento box gives you a lot of food for the price. The sticky rice was amazing...I love sticky rice. So head on over to this trendy new spot but just BYOB and give if its busy expect to wait a bit or two. read more

This is by miles the best sushi you can get in the Kings Highway area. Every single time I go the service is terrific, the food is delicious and even the decor is relaxing. Make sure to order the Nagoya Pizza, which is a scallion pancake topped with fresh sashimi and Japanese mayo, which is my favorite appetizer on the menu. Their special rolls are well priced and are packed with variety and flavor, even if the names, which are based on phones that were around when the place opened, need a bit of an update (Remember the Blackberry Pearl and the LG Chocolate?). They give you a decent amount of rolls as well, so you don't leave hungry. Plus, the desserts are filling and creative. Tempura fried cheesecake? Yes, please.
