This nail salon is close to my house just 8 minutes up the street, I will not be going back anymore due to how lazy they've gotten, the last fill I got, the girl did a bad job with them, they were very bumpy and not smooth, on the sides you can see left over neon nail polish that she did not remove before painting them this new color, she made them very thick and didn't file them right. She cut my skin with the electric drill tool and my finger was bleeding from it, which actually hurt a lot, she kept scraping it like 3 times you can't see the scar on my thumb. Not only was it painful but she didn't even take her time at all and it seemed like she had no experience whatsoever. The next week I went to go get a pedicure with my friend, and they rushed me thru the pedicure as well, it felt like 15minute pedicure when it should've been 25-30 minute one because I asked for the scrub, and they did not do it!! The water was cold, and I asked for it to be warmer she turned it on for a little and then turned it off and it made no difference at all. The next day the paint was already chipping off and barely lasted a few days!!!!! My pedicures usually last a month before the paint chips off! I hated that, it was terrible service, terrible quality, and you have to pay before you get your service done, so even if you tip like me, they will give you shit service! I was skeptical of this place based on a lot of poor reviews, but my friend booked the appointments and wanted to go here. I honestly had a great experience. I did find it a little odd that you have to pay for your service before actually getting it but I had brought cash for tipping so I waited until after my service to tip. And even if you pay with card you have the option to wait until after to add a tip. It's a large spacious salon and was clean and well maintained. My nail technician was really nice and I think she did a great job! I got the "active pedicure" and a basic gel/shellac manicure. Both reasonably priced. The massage on the pedicure was pretty quick and not quite as relaxing as other places but it was reasonable for the price. She also was really helpful in giving me ideas for my nails, she recommended the accent nail which I think really made the manicure perfect! Update: they offered to fix my manicure, which I appreciate, and it looks 50% better... Still uneven in spots. But JEEZ were they rude about it, every step of the way. I almost walked out multiple times. The tech kept laughing at me and blaming me or my polish choice for the problems. When I pointed out things I would like fix she got irritated and was like "we just can't make you happy" LISTEN UP NAILTEK it's not hard... I want nails with even uniform lines and shapes and consistent texture. If I point out an air bubble or messed up line you shouldn't be mad at ME for your mistake. Just fix it without the attitude! Rushed, seemed annoyed about my requests to fix uneven polish and crappy lines, didn't fix them despite spending more time than necessary trying to, and was distracted the entire time talking, giving other employees keys and taking money etc. Maybe my tech was the manager and doesn't usually do nails? I have no idea how a tech can be that bad at getting polish lines straight and clean. And a $10 upcharge for a manicure with gels plus a $1.50 charge for nail file makes the $26.50 before tip a pretty spendy headache. Edit: 4 hours later it is apparent that the top coat only got onto the middle 60% of most of my nails. They look DIRTY because it's darker where the top coat didn't get applied and are already starting to peel from the edges. I am horrified and calling in tomorrow to see if they will redo them. Unacceptable. I only get my nails done when I am doing modeling work, I clarified this and explained that in photos things need to be uniform, and the tech still rushed through "fixing" things and in many cases just made it look more messy. I eventually just gave up and was like "sure it looks better" even though I'm not happy with my manicure AT ALL. I also have a cut on one finger, which she kept pointing out and saying awkward things about, like "that hurts!" But then she would completely ignore it while doing the "massage" bits and almost tore it back open. She also wiped down and oiled my left hand (the injured one) twice, when I pointed that out and held out my right hand for her to do she just said "oh that doesn't matter" and then barely touched my right hand without apying oil or wiping down the nails at all, before basically shooing me out the door. Just because it is the end of the day doesn't make treating your customers like this ok. Serious waste of time and money. Cheap doesn't have to mean crooked and patchy. Terrible experience I came in scheduled an appt for 2pm when I came back they were so busy they asked if I could come back at 5pm so I agreed because I didn't want my nails rushed. When I came back I showed the lady what I wanted and she charged me 85$, mind you they make you pay first before you even know what your getting. Absolutely love this nail salon. Jessica is the best I've been going to her since July. My nails seem to last anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks, do not suggest going 5 weeks though, way too long. Crap place! Completely horrible experience. Just went in there today to get dipping powder. I have gone to many other places before for this service, but they were all booked. Unfortunately I chose to go to Nail Tek to get this done and I should have just waited the extra day and gone to a place I know and TRUST. First off, we called to confirm price for dipping powder - they told us $35 for regular dipping and $55 for dipping with full set. I don't get fake nails and $35 is about average of what every other place charges for this. Made appointments for 2 people for 5:30. We arrive early and wait. Finally at 5:40 they say they are ready for ONE of us. Why even make an appointment in the first place? I have always been told to never rip off the shellac or dipping from your nails....... this lady took a fake nail and popped off the dipping stuff from each of my nails!!!!! My nails, I kid you not, looked like Edward Scissorhands when she was done with them. EVERY SINGLE NAIL WAS BROKEN. I have crappy, brittle nails to begin with, but I have never ever in all the years of getting my nails done have someone remove them in this way. They have always filed them down with an electric drill and then soaked them in acetone and scraped off. When I confronted her about this and showed her how damaged my nails were from her laziness she told me it was the easiest way, and because she saw that they were already starting to lift this is how it is done. NO, NO, NO a million times no. You NEVER take them off that way!!!!!! Well to say she ruined my nails is an understatement. No offer of apology or anything. At least she cut and filed my nails. Picture is of the after effect. Completely ugly, destroyed nails. And not to mention their prices were a complete scam. $35 for natural dipping with a REGULAR nail polish on top, and $55 for the normal dipping powder in color!!!!!!!! WTF. It was 4:15 when one of us asked how long the wait would be. One of us was sat down and the guy there just kept walking back and forth cleaning up. By 4:30 we where still not helped. I watched a the boss walk over the a lady who had gotten there after us and tell her she would personally help her next. Then two other lady's came in and said they had a 4:45 appointment and she told them they would be next. How rude of them to not take into account the fact that people schedule time out of their lives to come in. We decided to drive up the street to secure nails instead because we found it extremely mean of them to lie. If we were a walk in appointment i would have understood the wait. Just don't go here. This is not to bash on their business but I've been going here pre-Covid for a long time but it wasn't until recently they've been more money driven than even quality work and they rush you out of there. They've also been making up their own prices and everything is SO inconsistent. Most places do this now where they change from everything from the LENGTH of your nail if it's not short to the SHAPE OF YOUR NAIL. I only see one person when I try to come in solely because they always have availability and it's close to to my home and I've ALWAYS been a loyal customer so let me state that for the record. It hadn't been until recently that not only have they been charging ridiculous prices but my last two/ three recent encounters were both absolutely terrible. I will start off by saying they are all veteran "nail artists" and have been the same group of workers with the exception of a few as long as I've been there which has been just about 10 years. The most recent visit is actually why I decided to take the time to write this review as I feel like some of the inappropriate/ offensive comments the lady, "Thai Pham" made to me in regards to my last visit with I believe her name is "Ming or Minh". She told me when I simply asked her for the same design which were literally stickers that not only were they inconsistent about the price (which BTW) I forgot to mention they make you pay ahead of time for the whole session prior to even beginning and get upset when they don't see you left a tip on there prior to even getting work done. So that's ONE thing to note. Thai told me that Ming or Minh had relayed to her that (in her own words) while I was in midst of picking out my dinky stinkers for 4 fingers nails I paid ahead of time (that they charge almost $5) each finger for FYI that I'm only allowed to chose ONE sticker for each finger... these are big stickers either. She had told me that Ming/Minh had made an exception last time for me because "she didn't want to deal with me and I was giving her a difficult time" and it wasn't until I asked the lady who was doing my nails relaying this message to speak with her directly because I could visibly see her in the back to what she meant because all she had done for me the time prior was stick ONE butterfly sticker on (at that time 3 fingers and a accent of an even smaller heart sticker). The lady Thai who did my nails told me it's ONE sticker to ONE nail (these were not hand painted designs... stickers...) in which they again, charged me $5 each nail for. My total for a FILL ended up to be $65 and my nails are not long, equivalent to the size of a jelly bean *not an exaggeration* because I fed them short oval. It wasn't until I built up the courage to ask Thai if I could have a conversation to hash it out or what the problem was the last time I came in to where she was relaying how "I was being difficult and she took too long on my nails she didn't want to help me anymore" that I wanted to address it with her directly. Thai Pham totally changed up her attitude and began to seemly *finally* act in a professional way and took back what she said when I inquired about speaking with Ming/ Minh. It was so bizarre and I left YET again with the worst shaped nails and I don't even want to spend anymore time writing this review because again I really don't take time to bash on businesses and this was in no way what I intended to do. I want to make people aware there are much MUCH better nail salons especially in that same area. I've also wanted to say this for so long and I actually hope they come across this review but I do understand their native language Vietnamese to an extent but would always tell them I didn't. And some of the things they said about me in those instances and in all the times I've been into the shop speaking in their native tongue without going into details this is not the spot you want to be and pay your hard earned money towards. That's all I'm going to say and I hope this was truly helpful to those who may be looking into this spot as quick alternative because you're regular parlor is booked or you're looking for a new place completely. I've gotten my acrylics done here quite a few times and have had literally every tech that does nails.... For the most part I'm satisfied and my nails are usually the way that I want them but be prepared to spend a hot minute here. Some of the techs speak absolutely no English so it can be a challenge to explain what you want....especially when they start doing wrong, but when/if that happens and they are busy, you have to wait for someone who speaks English to come over, repeat what you said and then have them translate.... As you can expect, it's pretty easy for things to get lost in translation but overall it's worth it. They have a lot of different colors, sns, and use quality products. read more

This used to be my spot, don't get me wrong they do an amazing job- when they don't rush what they're working on. They overbook themselves constantly so the time you get at a work station was half the time you waited over in the corner for your turn. I've been a loyal customer for the past 2 years and I would always recommend them when I received compliments on my nails. But spending almost $50 on a set of nails while spending 3 hours in their shop is ridiculous- for acrylic, no gel, Shellac, solar, matte color, chrome, powder, design or jewels. They charge extra for the length, and the shape- yes even for a fill, and shape change from pointed to coffin. When I was there last, they put the wrong chrome color on this girl's nails, she was upset and wanted to have them fixed before she left or if she had to come back in an hour to get it taken care of, it was about 2 hours before closing time. The shop was busy, and they were going to be closed for the holiday- they actually told her to come back in 2 days when they were open again to get it fixed since they had other customers that had been waiting. That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed! They messed up, received payment already (they collect payment before they finish with the last step- helps insure your nails don't get ruined, not so much in this case though) then didn't want to take the time to fix their mistake- I even heard one of the girls saying it was the right color it just looked a shade off on her nails. Ridiculous nonsense, save that statement for someone naive, regular nail polish yes- but we pay extra because you charge extra for our color to last longer, not chip and be the colors shown on the example nail swatches. I'm not sure what happened with her nail color, I was at the UV light station then out the door. Haven't been back, it actually crossed my mind that they might actually charge her for the color change if she came back in 2 days, or they were just hoping she'd change her mind and the color grew on her. Before when I needed a new set, the nail tech would let me know, waive the removal fee since by this time it was just acrylic or solar on my natural nails and charge me for a new set, which was great service and I'd apply that for a tip instead of the removal fee. Then they would just remove the nails that needed replacing, charge me for the fill, and each additional nail repair. No more communication or personal interactions, sometimes they'd stop to answer their phone or put you on hold while they wax an eyebrow or something because I was taken as a walk-in and they had the appointment for the waxing already scheduled. I've even had one tech start to hand me off to another one because of set appointments that have shown up early. Sad to say this place has turned to trash. It used to be my go to. They remodeled and somehow everything went down hill. My nails never stay on more than a week (I'm not rough and my nails don't grow fast, they last three weeks too a month usually), people are rude and rushed, they cut and burn my fingers, everything is half assed and sloppy. I'll pay extra for a better pedicure and still get rushed and sloppy work. Why am I paying for extras and not getting them at all? Really shotty. I have used this salon for 8 years and been very happy with them until the last six months. In the last six months the polish has been terrible, the acrylic that goes on just one finger (my thumb) cracks and breaks in less than a month so it has to come off each time I go back. I use to have them wax my upper lip and brows as well but quit when they took off a hunk of skin next to my mouth. They nicked the cuticle on my big toe and it bled for a long long time, she put something on it and whatever that was it was still there a month later..ick! Then there is the issue of the "senior discount" on Tuesdays. They advertise 10% discount to seniors but it is NEVER 10%; they round the 10% off to the lowest dollar and then apply it so it is more like 5-8%. English is a second language here and in some cases not even that...others have had to translate my instructions because the person doing my nails spoke NO English! When Christine was there running things everything went smoothly, now she is never there and the young lady apparently running things is surly, appears to feel entitled and could care less about what the customer wants. Came here to relax and get the Heavenly pedicure with Shellac (usually leave paying about $70 total with my tip) but got the worst experience. I first asked if it was possible to remove my shellac with acetone because my toe nails were sensitive to the power files and it was burning. The girl told me to do it at home before I came next time because they didn't have time to do that there (even after I offered to pay extra). So my toe nails are currently burning... still. Odd that she didn't have time to remove my shellac the healthier and softer way, but did have time to attend to someone else who needed eyebrow waxing, leaving me in the chair for over 20 MINUTES with a "hot" towel on my legs that I eventually removed myself after they became freezing cold and my legs started itching from the cold clay that was now dried up on my let's and feet. When she came out from the back, her laughter paused and she said "oh my god" when she saw me further solidifying that she did actually completely disregard me and forget to come back. I told her to skip everything and paint my nails so I could leave. 5 other woman that had come in after me were all done with their services before I was. The worst part is that she took of $8 dollars as a "discount" and tried to justify it since I did not have an appointment. When I arrived, the first thing I asked is if that had time for a heavenly pedicure and the answer was yes so WHY would it matter if I had called 5 minutes before and asked the same question? Needless to say I just paid $53 for over an hour of sitting alone, toes burning, legs freezing and doing anything but relaxing as I simultaneously finished funeral plans on my phone. I just had the worst, most expensive pedicure I have every gotten. They unsold me to get the "heavenly pampered spa pedicure" which is $45. Plus I want French tips for another $10 and I asked for reflexology for another $10. That's $65. And all the lady did was rub up and down my leg in the same spot until the lotion was rubbed in.
