You can clearly see the green from the color I had before. She didn't remove it all.

I went to this salon with the hopes of an acrylic refill. I didn't have an appointment and waited maybe 15 minutes which wasn't bad and they seemed low on staff given the holiday week. The technician was nice and was confused by my nails. She said she didn't have the color I had and explained that was fine and told her the number of the color I wanted. I had a nail that was lifting and desperately wanted the refill more than anything. She started to prep my nails and did the refill over my color (this was weird). Once it came to color time, she took me to the wall and told her the color number again and then she chose a nude color. We went back to the station and thought she was going to try and blend the nude part of my nail with the green color that was clearly still visible from when I came in. The fill was good, but that was pretty much it. When I went to pay, the manager told her that the card reader was not working. I think that should have been said before when I initially inquired about what I needed. So, I left my credit card and quickly went to the bank for cash. I should have never paid for this, but I just wanted to to go. I use to come here back in the day and sad to say it's gone way down hill.

Well people nice owner fixed thumb now my other thumb fell off and index finger and she told me if all falls off it's. Went today for a manicure and pedicure. I got two different people doing each service. The woman who did my pedicure cut me while clipping my cuticles and wasn't able to stop the bleeding with pressure... so she resorted to using nail glue. I let her do it just to see how far this would go. As soon as I got home I of course removed it and washed the cut thoroughly. My toe was already starting to swell and turn red from the trapped blood, bacteria, etc. As for my hands. I have naturally thin and narrow nail beds. With thick and strong nails. I went in with virgin nails after not being at the salon for a while deliberately in order to give my nails a break and let them heal from past dip powders.... I honestly don't even know how she managed to cake the dip on so thick that my nails looked like strange blobs at the ends of my fingers. I spent about 20 minutes in the parking lot with my nail file reshaping them and make them look half decent. These photos are after I "fixed it". SMH.

They did an amazing dip and pedicure for me and it was a very nice experience overall

no. I went in asking for gel nails (NOT gel polish, gel nail extensions.) I got acrylic power. he didn't ask how I wanted my nails and when I told him after he just started making his own choices about my hands, he still didn't listen. I told them I'd like to do my own polish at home, but they still literally MADE me get clear gel topcoat on top of my acrylic.. there are hairs stuck in them, they weren't cured all the way, they weren't cleansed afterwards, my cuticles are ALL bleeding and my nails are pointing all different directions, are all different lengths, and there are air bubbles in the acrylic. $40 later (which is the cost for GEL TIPS) I have officially had the worst experience ever. no talking, except to other coworkers in another language intermittently.

Pointer finger is the chipped nail I got fixed; middle, ring, and pinky finger have raised tips from where the nail tech tried to "fix" them

I got a gel manicure here with a friend last Tuesday (today is now Monday). After four days, both me and my friends nails had chipped, even though gel is supposed to last for at least two weeks. I've been getting my nails done since I was about 7 years old and gel since about 5 years ago. I know what a quality gel manicure is supposed to look like/how long it should last. I chose a color from a brand that I've used several times in the past and have never had this problem. Not to mention the woman who did my nails was not friendly at all and rolled her eyes/basically fell asleep while doing my nails. My manicure was mediocre at best (not very smooth and could still see through the bright color I chose.) Anyway...my friend and I went back to get our chipped nails fixed. Not only were they extremely rude about fixing them, the man who fixed them tried to "fix" our other nails-which were perfectly fine- by painting just the tips, leaving a strip of raised nail polish on the end. My chipped nail looked better, but now I have three more ruined nails. I literally could have done a better job myself. I went back the next day to get my money back, as I didn't think it was fair to pay for a manicure that was not only bad to begin with, but got worse when they tried to fix it. They were very rude and unkind when I asked for my money back and offered to fix it again. When I said no, they insisted that they had to remove the manicure in order for me to get my money back. They were talking to each other saying there was nothing wrong with my nails as if the evidence wasn't clearly in front of them. Long story short, I rate their customer service as a zero. I gave them 1 star as they did in fact give me my money back upon removing the manicure. If they had apologized and been more understanding of why I was upset, I would not be writing this review.

My nails are always done so well. I feel awful because I left in a rush without tipping so I'll be going back soon to do that!

Waxing the City was the first time I'd done waxing without the strips of cloth that felt like they were ripping off layers of skin along with my dignity. I love the wax-only method and have found the whole experience less painful and everyone who works there has done a great job. Sure, I wish they handed out wine before going in but considering the intimate experience I've been impressed. Highly recommend for service from front desk to the folks on the table. I've been happy every time. Even the time I went through the agony and the boyfriend's flight was delayed two weeks. Just kidding he will never stop hearing about that. What was supposed to be a routine facial turned into one of the most uncomfortable, disappointing, and frankly shocking customer service experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked in, something felt off. I was greeted by Jackie, whose demeanor immediately came across as rushed and irritated, as though my appointment was an inconvenience rather than a scheduled commitment. I tried to brush it off and assume maybe it was just a busy day. Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there. Before starting the service, I clearly explained that I wanted a facial. I repeated myself more than once to make sure there was no confusion. I even asked if what I was requesting was possible, and I was assured it would not be a problem. That reassurance turned out to mean absolutely nothing. During the appointment, I noticed that and I noticed scars (that I later found out were PERMANENT). I politely pointed it out, thinking it could easily be corrected. Instead of listening, Jackie dismissed my concerns and insisted that everything was "normal." It did not feel normal. It felt careless. At one point, when I asked for something as simple as some lotion for my hands, I was met with visible frustration. Jacqueline actually sighed and responded in a tone that made it clear I was being perceived as difficult simply for asking a reasonable question about my own service. I have never felt so uncomfortable advocating for myself in a professional setting. The worst part, however, was the final result. What I specifically asked to avoid scars, and dry skin is exactly what happened. It was the complete opposite of what I had described. I left the appointment feeling embarrassed, upset, and genuinely stunned at how little care had been taken. When I tried to express my disappointment calmly at the front desk, the situation only escalated. Rather than apologizing or offering any form of resolution, I felt subtly blamed for "miscommunication." There was no accountability. No empathy. No effort to make things right. Just defensiveness. Customer service is not just about performing a service; it's about listening, respecting boundaries, and treating clients with basic courtesy. At Skintique, I experienced none of that. I experienced dismissiveness, poor communication, and a level of unprofessionalism that I honestly did not think was possible in a business that depends on repeat clients. I rarely write negative reviews. In fact, I usually give businesses the benefit of the doubt. But this experience was so deeply disappointing that I would feel irresponsible staying silent. I would strongly encourage anyone considering facial here to think carefully and ask very detailed questions before committing. I left feeling worse than when I walked in -- and that should never be the outcome of a service that is supposed to help you feel confident and cared for. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously. No client should leave feeling unheard, uncomfortable, or regretful. One star is generous.
