I ordered the Korean beef salad because I wanted to see how authentic the Korean flavor would be. (I'm Korean.) hm, what can I say? the portion was very generous; the salad was huge and fresh! loved that. the beef flavor was gingery-ish, but I've never tried Korean food that tasted like that. the default dressing didn't help either. it was super wasabi-like. my nose was in flames! Korean beef tends to run a bit more on the sweeter/garlicky side, and my experience with the Korean beef salad was more on the gingery/wasabi side. plainly put: it was not an authentic Korean beef flavor. would I go back to naked noodle? maybe. I appreciate them trying, in a place where there's major lack of diversity. but, I wouldn't expect anything very authentic next time. the customer service was great and the portions were generous. although, has anyone else gotten a whiff of the mildewey smell inside? eep... it's a bit of a turn off, I'd say. read more

Love this place so much!!! I had to try every dish on the menu and all of them are fantastic! They definitely taste a little different with every chef you get but still so good. Four cheese Mac n cheese is out of this world! I always add garlic and chicken and top it with tomatoes and the fried spinach 2nd favorite is the monkey wrench. We came to Naked Noodle with low expectations, hoping for something quick to eat, as we were traveling north of Bozeman. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of noodles here, from Italian to American to Asian. We ordered the Singapore Stinger and Bhudda bowl, both Asian noodle bowls. As asians ourselves, we were impressed with the combination of ingredients that they put into their dishes. They also allow you to add up to 3 toppings to the dish. It was a little strange to put fresh spinach into bowtie pasta, so maybe I would stay away from that, but there are plenty of toppings to choose from, including beans to cilantro to green onions, etc. In any case, impressive spot that can serve as quick to-go or a casual date/get-together! read more

An interesting choose-your-own-adventure noodle bar which my friends from Bozeman hyped quite a bit. We got into the restaurant and it was packed with a long line, which was promising. Unfortunately both were really due to how slow the register and the kitchen were going, rather than there being very good business. It took about 20 min just for the register to get through the 10 people in line waiting to place orders. I got a mac and cheese which, by the time my name was called, was lukewarm. The point of mac and cheese is melty, hot, creamy cheese. I do like the concept of adding toppings (things like fried spinach, fresh basil, tortilla chips) but I only learned about it by watching other people order. The mac and cheese wasn't particularly gooey, creamy or remarkable. I did really enjoy the focaccia which was perfectly flavorful, crispy edges and soft interior. read more

I was disappointed that my Thai salad, which was listed as cabbage being the top green, was actually mostly made up of romaine lettuce. There was hardly any cabbage in it. What a great find in Bozeman. I first heard of the Naked Noodle from one of the nursing aides at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital earlier this week while my husband "enjoyed" an unexpected 8 day stay after a ski accident. Every afternoon I'd head out for lunch, and the girls on staff would throw out recommendations. Naked Noodle was one of them, but it took me a few days to actually seek it out. While the NN is very similar to Noodles & Company, a chain restaurant that is on the east coast, the offerings are a bit more varied, with significant higher quality. I adore the decor at this cozy little place tucked away down a side street off the Main drag in town. Photographs of various noodle shapes replacing every day items.... shell noodles strung around a woman's neck; spaghetti noodles cascading down a woman's back to mimic long hair, another single noodle strand laced through a sneaker.... As much as I'd love to say I will be back soon.... my visit to Bozeman has been overstayed and I am ready to return home. Perhaps on my next trip out to Montana...... read more

So here I am in Bozeman on vaca and I keep hearing of this place so I had to try it out. It was really good, I can't remember the name but it had a white wine sauce, pesto, pork, and feta, and for my 3 toppings I got fried spinach, tomato, and basil. The pasta was perfect and at the perfect temp. The pork practically melted in my mouth. Everything was great. The portions were just right to be filling. I'll eat there again for sure and fix this up a little bit lol. Edit: Ok, so I went back and dish I had was called "Monkey Wrench." Yeah, I have no idea why nor do I find it too clever, but the dish was still crazy delicious. As for prices, they range from 6.95 to 8.95 so its definitely reasonable. read more

Pretty tasty pad thai special, although I would say it was more Thai influenced than Thai. It was quite sweet. The "add three for free" is a nice way to add some extra veggies. Both noodle dishes we ordered were very saucy so mind the drips! This feels like a college town place, with the clientele and staff to match, which it is, and which is fine. Quite good, and a wide variety of noodle dishes and salads to choose from. They have sweet and unsweetened ice tea in the cooler. Bathroom has a changing table. What can I say but DELICIOUS!! Have eaten here twice and it is always great! They offer an extensive menu, and the food is always great! My favorite is the Gaucho, cavatappi pasta tossed with a creamy southwestern chipotle sauce including corn, black beans, roasted red peppers. They offer 3 free toppings to the pasta dishes, so toss on a bit of cilantro, cheese and fresh chopped tomatoes, and it is the perfect pasta dish. The four cheese macaroni and cheese is heavenly, and the Presto Pasta dish with a cilantro/peanut based pesto sauce served over bow tie pasta is delicious as well. Toss on a small amount of chopped peanuts, and you won't be able to stop eating. Give Naked Noodle a try, it really is a great place. read more

I've had the pad Thai here and it was good but we went and got the sesame lo mein and the chicken alfredo which seemed like safe options. They were both pretty bad. Which seems weird since the pad Thai was really great when I ate there before. I know some people go here a lot and love it but I have not been impressed with their quality across the menu. NOT GLUTEN FREE!!!!! Let me just start out by saying I used to love Naked Noodle for years, up until recently. I developed a gluten allergy in the past year and was thrilled to find out that Naked Noodle has gluten free options. However, I have now been poisoned by them twice. The most recent time I specifically asked the cashier to make sure that mine was gluten free and not regular noodles. I don't know if I was served regular noodles or there was cross contamination or what but I have spent the past 24 hours exhibiting symptoms I get from consuming gluten. I am very disappointed in Naked Noodle and will not be eating there ever again. If I had a life threatening allergy perhaps my request would have been taken more seriously. However, it is absolutely not okay to be this negligent when serving people food. I will miss the fried spinach and unique food combinations but eating here is not worth dealing with spending the next day ill. read more

I was told this place was a pretty good noodle place in town. Almost the entire experience was a true nightmare. The first thing you notice about this place is the tight packing of tables. It's reminiscent of my freshman year of university, trying to pack furniture into a small studio apartment. In order to pass by the people in line, you have to walk sideways in order to avoid elbowing the people standing to your left and the people sat at the tables to your right. You cannot even sit down easily without playing the "untangle the chair legs to be able to sit" game. The interaction with the cashier was very pleasant. They were very kind and welcoming (I apologize for not remembering a name). This was the only bright spot in the visit. Behind her, people were working very quickly to get the food out. I suspect that they were understaffed, as it is undergraduate move-in season at MSU and there were a lot of guests. Upon receiving my pad thai, the first thing I noticed was that the noodles were thrown on top, with a small shake of the pan to coat the edge of them with sauce. This lacks any semblance of stir fry, in which the noodles should be thoroughly stirred into a hot pan. I nearly spit out my first bite. It consisted of a glop of watery noodles just a tiny hint of tamarind. The thing that was most incredible about that first bite was the realization that there couldn't have been even a pinch of salt in the entire dish. I ate two more forks of the dish, trying to pick up on any of the other flavors, only to realize that there weren't any peanuts or lime either. My experience ended there, as I ended up throwing out about $10 worth of my $12 meal. I am open to trying this place again when downtown is less busy. I hope that the utter lack of attention to the dish was caused by poor foresight by management. I look forward to stopping by again, because I've heard nothing but decent things about this establishment. read more

My wife and I stopped here for a quick meal and split the Pad Thai and pesto bowtie pasta. Unfortunately both of the dishes missed the mark. The Pad Thai had bland chicken, was underflavored and the sauce was very runny. I think this dish was probably savable. If the sauce had been reduced more I think the whole dish would have come together. The pesto dish did not taste like a traditional pesto. I was not able to decide what extra herb was involved, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I thought it was unique, but my wife did not eat any more after the first bite. The consistency was also not quite right, this time on the thick side and there was something very fibrous in the mix that made it seem almost like there were little hairs (actually un-blended plant fibers). The staff was very friendly and helpful selecting dishes and the price was reasonable for a quick meal, but the food just didn't delver. read more

Just discovered this place and have already been in for take out twice in one week! I've tried the Gaucho, with and without meat. It's delicious! I've never had anything quite like it before. Like some of the other reviewers on here, I have noticed inconsistencies in these dishes each time, not quite the same as the last (More or less sauces, corn, etc). That's okay, just something that I noticed. I'm really excited to have found this place, the food is excellent and the prices more than fair for the portions they serve! My workplace ordered lunch from here. I got the Thai Green Curry and wasn't very impressed. It was somewhat bland and served over just normal pasta. Not like any curry I've EVER had. Coming from California, I have a high regard for thai food and this wasn't close to anything I've tasted. I'll give them points for originality/their own spin on thai food.
