I usually write my review after i finish eating but every bite has been so good that i stopped eating to write this. FRESH salad at the BWI airport (A concourse)! I made my own salad and every topping I chose (edamame, tomatoes, cucumbers, curry tofu, carrots, green scallions, beets, pumpkin seeds, and garbanzos were great. I chose basil vinaigrette for dressing on the side. The lone black worker managing this booth handled the workload with efficiency and calm. There were 4 of us ladies ready to order from him and he was direct to warn everyone that he was out of wraps and cash. We all knew what to do next: credit card purchase. They focus on fresh, healthy eats like wraps and salads, that are centered around mostly greens and healthy grains, with the protein options (mostly chicken) being secondary. We wanted something healthish to take with us to-go for our long 5+hr plane ride from BWI to SJC, because those Southworst snacks weren't gonna cut it. Nalley Fresh seemed like a great choice with their veg-heavy menu and low-fat proteins. The Good: *Service is friendly but curt--which I don't mind if you're handling your business like a boss, which they were. *Lots of premade healthy options for you to select from, or one can do a Chipotle-style á la carte pick your own adventure option for their salads, wraps, and bowls. *Prices are reasonable at around ±$12 (remember this is an airport) The Meh: *We both liked our options (I got the "Healthy" & the lil' lady got the "Greek") and overall they were decent but we both felt like they just needed a little more flavor, salt, or something. I did appreciate how they added some nuts and/or seeds for texture, which is something a lot of these places overlook. The Ugly: *The wraps were a bit messy to eat on the plane, but not terrible. For lunch at BWI Airport, there's a big food court area with a lot of options, but mostly options I wasn't too enthusiastic about. I opted to go healthier and was familiar with Nalley Fresh as I had been to 3 locations in MD at that point. I stopped by here earlier today by myself for a late lunch. This Nalley Fresh is located in the A/B concourse area of BWI and as such, there's not too much to say about it. It has a counter area where you can order and see all of the ingredients, like at most fast casual restaurants, and then there is shared seating all around. For lunch on this day I decided to go with the harvest salad and chose Buffalo chicken as my protein. Total price pre-tax was $13.60, which for an airport I didn't think was bad at all. Nalley Fresh describes the harvest salad as Mixed Greens, Carrots, Celery, Almonds, Croutons, Mandarin Oranges, Apples, Cranberries, Wheat Berries, Bleu Cheese Crumbles, and a Nalley Fresh Raspberry Vinaigrette. It ended up being quite good and I loved the different sweetness and tart flavors of the fruits combined with the pungent blue cheese and super tart vinaigrette. Then the chicken was good too. It was tender, a little bit spicy, and not overwhelming. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I think it's more challenging to eat healthy at the airport, not impossible, though healthy options aren't usually the first thing you see. After walking from security B down the line of fast food chains, I was pleased to find a healthier option in Nalley Fresh. I got the harvest salad and then made everything orange by selecting Buffalo chicken as my protein. Fair option, though I should have stuck with the grilled chicken. The salad was a good portion with good toppings like craisins, almonds, and bleu cheese. The server was looking at her phone while I scanned the menu-which has very small font- but as soon as I made my way up to the counter she put it down and asked me what I'd like. I had dinner at this Nalley Fresh location at BWI airport last week when I was searching for something healthier at the airport before a flight. I got the Shades of Green salad (cucumbers, cilantro, broccoli, green olives, edamame, wasabi peas, romaine lettuce, spinach, and cilantro vinaigrette), which was pretty good. I'm not sure whole green olives really added anything to it, but overall it was a pretty healthy, pretty satisfying salad to take to enjoy on the plane. Apologies to all of my plane mates who got to smell the garlic in the dressing but not eat the salad. There was practically no line (and wow were there lines at Chipotle and a few other places in the food court), and the few people in line before me went pretty quickly despite the fact that two of the three were customizing their own salads rather than ordering a salad off the menu. Overall, not a bad place for a meal at the airport if you're looking for a lighter bite or some veggies before a flight. read more

I came to the airport location, and was not disappointed. It is the healthiest option by far. I will go here again. I customized my own Caesar salad: half romaine, half kale. Tomatoes, Mexican spiced chicken, parmigiana flakes, egg, and Caesar dressing. I love how customizable the salads are. Most of the I gradients looked fresh except for a few- you can see through the sneeze guard. About 6 greens mixed to choose from, and PLENTY of toppings. The portion is lovely and extra protein or avocado are $2, 1.50 respectively. (As of the date of this review) Salad was $10, which was more than I'd usually like to pay for a salad, but absolutely worth it considering the only other options are greasey fast food chains. The Mexican spiced chicken was the rockstar though- if I come back I'll probably get extra chicken since it's so good. Also the staff was very polite and friendly. read more

Great choice for a quick, healthier bite to eat at BWI Airport, especially during the "rush" hours at lunch and dinner time, when all/most of the other options in the SW area have HUGE lines!! No complaints EXCEPT I think their prices, esp. for some of the "add-ons" could be better labelled. I got a small "jolt" of sticker shock when I added salmon to my Greek wrap (extra $5, maybe...) but the flavor and freshness was so good, it was definitely worth it!! TL;DR: Decent healthy food option at BWI! I recently passed through BWI and was searching for some sustenance. Unfortunately Cava has since been removed as a my go-to option at BWI, but Nalley Fresh looked like an acceptable replacement. Nalley Fresh is a fast-moving salad/wrap/bowl concept. Pick your base, pick your protein, pick your toppings, pick your dressing, you know the drill. I opted for a mixed greens/spinach salad with roasted chicken. The protein portion was sizable, the greens a little lacking but were fresh at least. There are many, many topping choices available at Nalley Fresh including asparagus, celery, and roasted mushrooms! With so much variety, the serving sizes of the toppings are small. If you want more of something, simply ask for it. Some nit-picky things: Caesar dressing was kind of thin (good flavor though); sweet potatoes were undercooked; romaine lettuce was old and limp. Nalley fresh is typically one of my favorite places to eat when visiting home so I was excited to see it at the airport. Food was great, healthy and consistent with other Nalley Fresh locations but the service and all three women I interacted with make me never want to come back here again. Ordering here felt like I was an inconvenience to them for being in line and they did not want to be there. Asked for kale got spinach. ‍ At Other Nalley Fresh locations, service has been great and friendly staff. Not sure what's going on with staff here but it's sad to see such a great place get a poor reputation for the service. read more
