The Club-sandwich had a generous pile of bacon, and colby-jack is a tasty not-overwhelming cheese that works well on this sandwich. We used the supplied zingy homey-mustard sauce to flavor-up the chicken. It was tender, but seemed a little less juicy than we expected. And on-it-own, the chicken did not have as much marinated-flavor as we expected. Overall, we'll come here again for a pre-flight meal. read more

Still a Chic-Fil-A in BWI fast efficient and serving breakfast! Their Sausage Egg & Cheese on biscuit is ok biscuit is light fluffy and crumbly, sausage and egg are meh it's chic-fil-a hashbrowns are a rip off at almost $3 for 10 about the size of a nickel pieces! Coffee is fast food coffee go to a regular chic Fil a if you want better! Seating is first come first serve but there are other places using them also. After waiting I asked about it. I never moved from the pickup area. So either they gave my food away or accidentally bumped my order from the screen to prepare. Whatever training the other stores get. They need to send everyone to the entire training. I would have felt better about the service being bad if there were even half the amount of people there. Needed to get a quick breakfast before I hopped on my 8:30am flight to the Dominican Republic. The line moved quickly and wasn't backed up like other options such as McDonald's. I was looking to order a grilled chicken scramble, but they didn't have any grilled chicken options. Instead, I opted for the chicken biscuit. It's been a while since I had Chick-fil-A. The chicken tasted fine, no complaints. It came out in a reasonable amount of time. I ate my chicken, and kept it moving. The Baltimore Washington International Airport Chick-fil-A. When it comes to food and treats the Baltimore Washington International Airport has the air traveler covered. In the heart of the A-B Core Terminal there is a Chick-fil-A that shares a bustling food court with Arby's, McDonald's, and numerous eateries. This was the Chick-fil-A that my brother and I stopped at on a layover between Las Vegas and Long Island. We had just sat through four plus hours of flying and now our taste buds would be flying from this delicious Chick-fil-A food that makes my taste buds shout "Chick-fil-yAy. Chick-fil-A is very popular and the upshot was there was a long line into Chick-fil-A and the socially distanced food court tables were near capacity. On account of a well run operation (at least during our visit), the line progressed smoothly. Additionally the time from placing the order to picking it up moved equally smooth. The way the ordering system works is that you give them your name upon ordering. At a busy airport, this system has a flaw. I'd see it first hand. My brother has a popular name. When they called his name, he picked up the food with a person that shares his name. When they called the same name a few minutes later, it was obvious he picked up the wrong order. Here is an insider tip: "If you have a popular name consider placing your last name initial with it." The design of the cue has a flaw that can be challenging to near sighted people like your's truly. That flaw is that the overhead menu placed to the left of the main cue. Approaching my turn, I had to step off the supposedly socially distanced line to look at the menu. When I set eyes on the menu, my eyes were drawn to the Chick-fil-A Deluxe. I have reviewed Chick-fil-As and been to several locations. However, I never saw this sandwich in their value meal menu. After we grabbed the one available table, my taste buds would be soaring higher that the Southwest flight that took us over the clouds between Vegas and Baltimore. This thick sandwich featured the delicious Chick-fil-A patty with cheese, tomato, lettuce, and other tasty ingredients. It was part of a value meal that included a large beverage and waffle fries. Chick-fil-A waffle fries are up there on my list of favorite fast food French Fries. This delicious fast food meal costed less than $10. Not a bad price for being in a major airport. Along with the great fast food, there was solid service during our visit. The fast moving line I mentioned earlier was evidence of solid service. Further evidence of good service was when they gave my brother zero issue with a Coke refill. If you consider seating part of service, there are hundreds of seats at the nearby gates to enjoy the food that they serve in a bag if the food court tables are full. The Baltimore Washington International Airport Chick-fil-A is another location that has me shouting "Chick-fil-yAy." Pretty poor service for an airport fast food joint... We usually don't come to this chick-fil-a because line is always longer here than all of the other spots... which is likely in part due to higher volume but also might be related to slow counter staff. For us today the counter staff were slow and engaging in small talk with each other. But luckily once the order was placed the kitchen staff were very fast. The tables and seats are reasonably comfortable, but the tables closer to the counters are often crowded by customers waiting (in line or for food pickup). I'm currently sitting in the bowels of gate C in BWI airport and I'm a little nervous waiting on some news, so the best way I know how to calm my nerves for 10 minutes is to get some fast food. That's all I needed to hear and see and I made a beeline to the kingdom of chicken. Could I have gone to the tap house near Chick-Fil-A? Sure. Could I have searched for a few different dining options? Yes. Did I want to? Nope. I needed a fast food hug and the only prescription for my nervousness was a number 1 (Chick-Fil-A sandwich, fries, Diet Coke, and three Chick-Fil-A sauces) I don't frequent Chick-Fil-A, but the times that I do, I always receive service with a smile and their famous phrase of "my pleasure." I ordered my meal. No "my pleasure." Can we say bummer? I know it seems so simple, but normally people working here are chipper. My order came out super quick and then I proceeded to take the long, arduous walk to gate C. It's a schlep folks. I almost needed a water break. Got to my gate and sat down. Fries were crisp and hot (even after my long sojourn). The sandwich was heavenly. Fried chicken topped with a soft, warm bun, a pickle, and I added the Chick-Fil-A sauce. The chicken was moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. The dill pickle chip added just the right amount of crunch and brininess. Each bite was better than the last. It was like a warm hug. Pros: -Sandwich was divine -Service quick and easy -Fries were hot Cons: -No it's "my pleasure", sorry you lose a star since that's one of their customer service staples. I'm a fan of the chain because I truly believe they do fast food best. That being said this airport location was below par. The location is in the food court off A and C terminal. The line was around a dozen or so deep. The area was clean. Once at the cashier I ordered a number one which is a chicken biscuit, hash browns and drink. I upgraded to a bottle water since this store does not serve my beloved iced coffee. The clerk was meh, no smile and just going through the motions. My transaction processed without incident and my request for a receipt was generated. On a positive note the food is cranked out quickly. The expediter, a young Black gentlemen did smile and was friendly. I sat close to the counter and he was a good face for the business. Now getting to why they are sub par. My biscuit was dry and broke apart on first bite. The chicken although warm was also not as moist as I would have liked. I rarely take pics of food once I have begun eating, but to provide an example I did. It will be attached to the review. The has browns were served hot, but under seasoned. The water was cold out of frig. My assumption based on their under performing composite score is that they have both service and food quality issues. My family and I love CFA, but this airport location disappointed us. The foods tasted good just like any other CFA in the country. However the chicken breast of our sandwiches were noticeably skinnier than what we were used to at other locations. The menu was an abbreviation of the full menu, 2/3 of the choices were missing. Service was quick but not friendly. There was no greeting, no thank you, and no automatic offering of ketchup or sauce. We had to ask for the condiments. This is my go to for breakfast when I have an early flight. It's pretty standard like any other chick Fil a although you cannot order items a la carte. So that's a little annoying. Their is typically a fairly long wait for your food, which is surprising given their staff numbers and the entire 'fast food' concept. The food was okay, but nothing extra special different from any other Chick-Fil-A. The fries were all right not very hot, and almost under-salted. The sandwich was good, but I don't think they understand the concept of 'extra pickles.' The staff was very busy, pretty nice, but they had a hard time getting orders out correctly. I was handed the wrong bag at first. I was seeing a lot of people who were waiting a long time for their orders as well, longer than I was. It is what it is. Bottom: Consistent with what you'd expect from a full service Chick-fil-A. This Chick-fil-A is located in BWI airport across from Southwest Airlines gates A1 through A5. The Line will likely be twice as long as any of the adjacent fast food places but it moves quickly. The menu definitely has all of the CFA favorites and seems to be the same or almost the same as a stand alone, full size CFA.
