First time for Korean barbecue. We could not have picked a better restaurant . We ordered Peach Soju( not my thing) It's the food that captured my taste buds . We ordered Neorangnarne signature menu for two. Lots of food , lots of meat, lots of sides. All incredibly delicious and flavorful. Cooked directly in front of you which I absolutely loved. We enjoyed the beef, short, ribs, ribeye shoulder . With some delicious sides of pumpkins, onion, sweet potatoes, grilled peppers, mushrooms, cucumbers, pickled radish, kimchi and some cucumber wraps. Make sure when you head out to this restaurant you are nice and hungry, because they will feed you.... The quality of the meat was everything. Putting it all together with the sides was such a fun way to dine. We highly recommend that you go and then go again.

The staff was nice and the establishment is cute and clean but the food lacked flavor. No seriously- it was bad. We should've known better when we went and it was empty followed by our server recommending we try something other than our initial decision. Tried the bulgogi beef and shrimp dishes and they were very bland. I've never been more disappointed.

Nangman BBQ is one of the best Korean BBQ spots in the city. Located on 26th and 6th Ave makes for an easy commute. The service was so friendly and attentive , which made the experience even more enjoyable. I love the store front and inside decorations.......( very cozy vibes). Highly recommend this place. Side Note : the marinated meat ( chef's kiss)

I came here for a friends birthday on evening and had a good time. We ordered the DoranDoran as it accommodated 3-4 people and got some soju as well. It comes with an appetizer and 5 different meats. We had the nachos as the appetizer and it was pretty good. You can only have so much before it gets soggy so we made sure to eat it quick as we drank the soju. The meat was flavorful but I felt like the portions weee a little small to accommodate 4 people. I would say it probably accommodates to 3 as we all left still hungry. There also seemed to be a beach theme in the restaurant. It gave off Hawaii vibes. Overall good food but for the amount we got and for what we paid for, I would probably get something else next time.

We were looking for a quick spot to grab lunch during a day of shopping/ sight seeing. The restaurant was nearly empty and we were quickly seated. The decor of the restaurant was super cute and fall themed. Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered a few different items to share. All of the food was good and served hot. We accidentally ordered the soy chicken wings thinking they were vegan wings. But that was our fault for not clarifying. All things considered, it was a nice spot that I would definitely return to again!

My boyfriend and I stayed at a hotel on 28th and 6th, so Nangman BBQ stood out to us every single time we ventured out into the neighborhood. On our last trip of NYC, we decided to give Nangman BBQ a try. I made reservations for 1:15pm on a Sunday, but the place wasn't busy at all. We could've easily breezed in and have gotten a table. Nangman BBQ has a very extensive menu. You can do KBBQ where you grill your own meats or have prepared food served to you. Since we were on a time crunch to make it to the airport, we decided to get items off the lunch menu. I got a bulgogi burger, and it was very good. The beef patty was well done but juicy. Bulgogi was topped on the burger patty, and it was flavorful and tender. The sunny side up egg had the perfect drippy yolk. The side of fries were bomb like Kennebec fries, and I loved the side of kimchi mayo. Our server brought out a couple of banchan including kimchi and pickled radishes, which were totally fine. Although I didn't try anyone else's dishes, they looked tasty as well. Lastly, great customer service. The staff members were friendly and highly attentive.

First time trying Korean barbecue ... Boy! It did not disappoint. I had a surf and turf with steak and shrimp I love how they cooked it right in front of you on your own personal Little Grill. The flavors were amazing. I hope to find Korean barbecue is closer to home yes I would definitely like to go with friends next time it's definitely a group dinner but I did enjoy myself by myself#

I stopped by here tonight, they offered me a seat outside at first. I checked it out until I saw it had no grill, who comes to a korean bbq without a grill? That defeats the purpose. That'll be a no for me dawg. So after waiting 15 mins I get seated inside. They give me a menu and the waitress walks away. I quickly decide what I want. She is just standing around at the other side of the restaurant not doing anything. I keep trying to wave her down, but nobody came for 15-20 minutes. Eventually I get the manager to come over and take the order. A new waitress comes with the food and soda. As I'm eating, the manager leaves the restaurant to go home while the rest of the staff is still working.. sheesh. The food itself was ok and the food presentation was good, however the service left alot to be desired. The place was also super loud. I'm not likely gonna be back though.

    Pork belly!

Yum! Yum! Yum! This place is so good. The meat and produce are all top notch! The sides and toppings for all your meat are just perfect. Sad I don't live closer or would definitely be a regular. The times I have gone... excellent every time. Toasting marshmallows over the center burner at the end is a favorite for the kiddos.

Nangman is a super fun, clean, and aesthetically awesome place to eat. The food is much higher quality than other Korean BBQ places I've been to and the service is amazing. They literally have some of the friendliest servers in the city and they were incredibly patient and kind with my kids which I appreciated so much. They also taught all of us how to proper use the condiments and pickled vegetables (like making a radish "taco") which was really nice and cool of them. My only complaint is that I wish they offered some more marinated options for the meats. Some of the meat didn't even taste seasoned, which overall ended up working out OK because of the vast selection of extras/condiments that you could eat along with it, but it would've been nice. Other than that though, it was a really great experience and I recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Three of us dined inside (would have been nice to have dined outside but they don't have the ability to do BBQ at the outside tables). We got the Korean (Dorandoran) BBQ for 3-4 ppl. It was a LOT of meat! Could have used more veggies to cleanse the palate, what little vegetables we had were good. Liked the cuts of beef more than the pork. For the choice of stew that came with it we had the beef soft tofu stew, which was good/spicy. Liked the pickled accompaniments for the BBQ (radishes etc) though usually there are more of those small dishes with Korean BBQ. Had to order rice separately. The pitcher of soju cocktail was very sweet (mixed with passionfruit); personally would get something different next time but one friend liked it. Ambiance of the place was very cute & colorful. The "glamping" mentions I think come from the floors that look like pebbles and the greenery at the ceiling. We went very early for dinner (5, to avoid crowds) but weren't rushed by staff at all though it got crowded (and quite smoky) later on. Service was good & unobtrusive, server mainly came over to cook the meat. Had mentioned it was a belated bday celebration for my friend but staff didn't do anything for that. Bathrooms are in the basement and clean. Would definitely come again!

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Opening in 2015 in the heart of Koreatown in Midtown Manhattan, the Korean restaurant, Her Name is…read moreHan, was a great place for my wife and me to come for lunch during our 2nd day in NYC. They have great reviews and it is definitely warranted. The restaurant has a solid website, giving accurate information about the hours and menu. It indicated that weekday lunch time would be a good time to try their value-based lunch menu, letting us sample some of their dishes. We walked over from our hotel just before their opening time of noon, and got in line just as they opened. It was a decent size queue, but the dining space inside was large, and everyone in line was able to be seated (including us). Our main server was Jiwoong, and she was lovely throughout. A carafe of tap water was provided with two glasses, so we could refill our own water (I love this about Korean restaurants...wish other restaurants did something similar). Multiple servers interacted with us throughout, and the beautifully prepared food was delivered exactly on time, with the proper temperature. We ended up ordering 4 things. The non-ipa beer on tap was Ball Lightning Pilsner ($9 for 12 oz) and it was OK. Fried Cod Appetizer ($15) - coming out first, the five chunks of lightly deep fried cod was OK, enhanced by the tartar like sauce. There are four choices from the Lunch Premium Bapsang (a set meal with rice, Japanese equivalent is Teishoku), and we chose two of them. I had the Grilled Atka Mackerel ($19), and my wife had the Spicy Pork BBQ ($21). Both came with white rice, a light bean sprout soup (decent), kimchi (not my favorite), a simple green leaf salad, 3 banchans (loved the fish cakes), some grapes, and a light custard based dessert (which was good). I liked my mackerel, well prepared and fried. The pork was indeed spicy with good flavor. Reading about the restaurant later, learnt that the name came to the founder, meaning two things. 'Han' represents a uniquely Korean emotion of mixed grief, sadness, and hidden resentment...we know that we shouldn't feel this way, but we feel a bit better that other Koreans feel it too. It is also the last name of the founder's mother (most Koreans keep their last name after marriage), so the name is an homage (that's what I read on their facebook page) to her. The restaurant is part of the Resy network, and thus using our AMEX provided a $20 statement credit (once a month...this is my favorite sort of credit since the credit is entirely funded by AMEX, and the restaurant gets their full charged amount). Payment was handled at the table, and we were out in under an hour. As we were leaving, we noticed that there now was a queue to get in, so we came at the right time. In terms of the food, I thought the overall taste was good, but the service, extremely reasonable prices, beautiful presentation, and just the overall atmosphere bumped this up to a great rating.

The broth for the buckwheat cold naengmyeon was authentic beef stock, rich and savory without overpowering the natural flavor of the ingredients. The banchan were also incredibly well-made; we finished nearly every side dish on the table. Service was quick and efficient too. It's such a shame we only discovered this restaurant on our final day, we wish we'd come here earlier. I'd highly recommend this spot. Overall rating: 4.5 to 5 out of 5 stars.

They advertised themselves as having the best katsu in NYC and they may just be right. With our order it came with a bunch of side dishes. Kimchi, Marconi salad, and mashed potatoes, and others. They were all good. Food came out pretty quick as well. Don't think we waited too long for anything. After we were done they gave us some ice cream. I would absolutely love to come back here again for lunch and probably will.

Tried this spot for Restaurant Week and had a great experience. The $60 three course menu is a…read morereally good value. You get to choose three appetizers, two mains, and one dessert, so it's a great way to try a variety of dishes, especially if you're sharing. The service was friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was pretty busy. We did have to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation before being seated, but everything went smoothly after that. The restaurant is beautiful inside- liked the interior design choices a lot! My favorite dishes were the asparagus japchae, lotus root gangjeong, and the Korean melon dessert. Overall really enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back to try the regular menu.

Solid Korean spot with a calm, dim interior. We made res for restaurant week as a group of 6, which…read moreallowed us to try a little of everything on their menu. What I got: - Asparagus Japchae: Very good - instead of traditional Japchae noodles, it's sliced asparagus and mushroom. The marinate was delish! - Shrimp Pancake: It was more like an omelette. Not so much of the actual pancake batter. - Spicy Fried Chicken: Nicely fried, standard. The spicy sauce is on the side, which allows us to adjust our bite. - Bossam: I enjoyed this! More Bossam pieces than lettuce, but overall taste of the meat was good. It didn't have the "bland pork" taste. - Pyongyang Cold Noodle: This was my first time having this dish. Seemed pretty traditional. The broth was on the lighter end for me. - Korean Melon: LOVEDD this dessert! A refreshing way to end the meal. The menu denotes cheese, but it wasn't even noticeable. It has a few toasted pine nuts mixed in, which were SOO good. Overall, a very filling meal and worth the $60 restaurant week value! Nothing absolutely blew me away, BUT the flavors were solid and the staff were great. Would come back for another deal!
