The website said it was a correct fit, but obviously wasn't. Oh well, it happens. I'll call this store, order a different one over the phone, and then return the wrong air filter. I was told it would be there the next morning, but when I stopped by it was still there. No problem, I was told. "It will be here on the next shipment," in an hour or so, they said. Still wasn't there. They called the place they ordered it from and surprise...they don't have it in stock, and "that's why they didn't send it to us." Seriously? "But we will order it from another place and have it here this evening" When I asked what they could do to make the situation "right" because they caused me to drive there multiple times for no reason. I was told they could take off 10%. 10% off an air filter? I was pretty frustrated and asked for a manager and was told he was one. I explained that wasn't good enough to make it worth it for me and when I said I would go to AutoZone a mile down the road, he again said that's the best they could do. I told him to forget the purchase. I originally stopped going to AutoZone because Advanced Auto was closer to me. Well, guess what...a mile of driving more to go to a place that always seems to have more things in stock and has better service is more than worth it. Don't bother with this store. They used to be good, but I'd say they've lost it. And frankly, the company website screwed things up to begin with, so I'm not touching Advanced Auto again.

I promptly went to this location because it was going to save me about $200 verses the dealership. Immediately, he treated me as if he didn't want to help. Muffling things like "oh my reader is saying I shouldn't touch your car" "the dealer is a criminal they want to steal your money, I've worked there before" "turn your car on and off, nothing is wrong with this battery" "there's too many warning codes" .... I had paperwork saying I needed a battery and it threatened my integrity. I grew up around the car business and this is NOT how you treat a customer that ultimately pays your bills. I am a young professional that takes exceptional care of my paid off well maintained vehicle. I felt discouraged, frustrated and unseen. He then told me "if I put the battery in, and you have to get it towed to the dealer don't blame me". Sir, what happened to you just saying you COULDN'T replace my battery? I feel almost profiled. As a woman, by herself I hope that he doesn't treat others this way as the face of Advance Auto Parts. I went to AutoZone and they felt SO embarrassed that I was treated this way at ANOTHER company, their competitor nonetheless that they gave me an extra 20% off and instantly put the battery in, took away the old one and even SHOOK MY HAND. I hope this is a learning lesson for associates at Advance Auto, I'll never come back.

I called, they were very friendly, got out to tow my truck quickly (the driver was exceptionally quick and also very friendly). 4 days for repairs at a bit over $1,000, cool. I pick it up, the brake pedal pressure is significantly different; the brakes don't engage until the pedal is at the floor. I assume the hydraulic pressure hasn't evened out, I drive it low speed for several miles, pumping the brakes. No change. I call again, and am offered a free repair, bring it in ASAP, we'll fix it. Cool, thanks. I know you're booked, and it's pretty easy to let an it bubble slip in. I bring it in, they get to it right away. 30 minutes later, they tell me it's ready, I test the brakes. No change. I let the guy know, he gets angry with me because he "just fixed it". You said you fixed it. it's not fixed. I go inside and let them know I'd like my money back, minus the cost of parta. They argue with me, I relent and let them try again. 20 minutes later, significant improvement, but not pre-failure status. I tell them that. They tell me they can bleed it again, they're explaining to me that my brakes I had failed (I was a HEO for over 5 years, I know how brakes work, thanks). I told him us talking likely wasn't going to settle it, and that I'd dispute the charge (minus parts) with my company, and sorry we had to have a rough morning. because I wanted to give them a fair shake, (I came in slightly irritated because I had to drive into Atlanta metro on nonexistent brakes before bringing it back to the shop) I had my daughter drive my truck around. She noted the pedal pressure is significantly spongier than before, but she also says "I don't think it's dangerous or anything, it's just not close to how it was". I'm not going to dispute the charges, but I will wonder why it took 3 trips, an argument, and a third-party confirming the repair was "acceptable" but not to the pre-failure state. I will not be returnin, and I will not encourage people I know to go there.
