I have been buying Hyundai's from this location since 2007. In fact, we have purchased three Hyundai from this singular location. While the name has changed because it used to be Loren to now Napleton the sales staff at least remains very nice even though they've all changed. The service for a Hyundai has also changed drastically. They no longer wash or clean your car before they return it. There's no covers or protections on the inside around the steering wheel or even of the seat when the Porter drives your car around. The service team barely picks up the phone even during regular working hours. And most recently depending on who I spoke to at the service department I had different answers for the same question around duration of a repair and service that I was bringing the car in for. What keeps me coming back at my car has some free service that comes with it and the fact that I really do like Hyundai I think Small improvements could definitely make this place really shine, especially since it's located in Glenview. Yes I'm sure there are people who can afford more expensive cars and still choose to buy a Hyundai. But why compromise service and quality and the client or customer experience simply because the car price point is a little bit lower. The waiting area here is also decent so no complaints there at all. read more

Very disappointed in the ownership and ethics of this dealership. Bought a luxury high-end model with the promise of numerous services, including weekly washes, valet, service, loaner cars, and/or other premium services. One by one and week by week the services were slowly eliminated with a variety of excuses, including insufficient staff and unavailable cars and all sorts of other excuses. Had a flat tire at one point in time and they were told that I should schedule an appointment in four days time. Not sure exactly what I was supposed to do for four days with a completely flat tire. Had to escalate it for obvious reasons. It was no more than a 30 minute tire change yet. It was quite an ordeal to arrange. Terrible experience! After hours of waiting and "numbers crunching" , I was told that is too late to sign all the paperwork and I was asked for the down payment. I paid $2000 and was supposed to come back the second day to finish everything. But surprise! The second day , they called asking for more money as a down payment and was informed that the deal we made the day before was not valid anymore so the payment we agreed on was actually a lot more. I backed out of it and asked for my money back. It took them a week to give me my money back. Had to go there two times and called countless times. PSA: Do NOT make a service appointment online if you need more than an oil change! We live in the city and made a Saturday appt to address the AC in my vehicle. We received a message late Thursday that they likely wouldn't be able to look at it until next week. Meanwhile, we had scheduled our entire weekend day around being in the suburbs. I spoke to them early Friday morning only to learn they don't even do that type of work on the weekends! Only oil changes and normal service. Also, they do not provide loaners, only rentals for $50/day. I now have to take a vacation day to manage various plans that we are rescheduling. Jiffy Lube or other chains cannot add the freon in newer Hyundai models. We have purchased 2 vehicles at Napleton, no issues with our sales person. We had done our research and were pleasantly surprised when our salesman was not overbearing or trying to see what he needed to do to get us to leave that very day with a car. DO NOT BELIEVE THE "100% PURCHASE ONLINE"! I tried to utilize this tool to save time. I filled out all the documentation online (credit approval, IDs, insurance, etc.). After many exchanges back and forth (with Yordan) we agreed on a final offer. Monday evening I emailed and said I would like to finalize the deal. Tuesday morning I received an email from the manager (Charles) about the deal. Again, at 9 am I responded and said I wanted to finalize the deal and asked what else I needed to do. At 1:42 pm I received an email saying that the car was sold this morning. Awful experience and a complete waste of time. I will be taking my business elsewhere. RUN don't walk!, Contacted this dealership to buy GV80, internet price was $74,024. I have a text message from sales person to confirm the price of $74,024. I agreed to buy. Vehicle had to go have a part replaced which delayed the purchase, which I was fine waiting. Part came in and I was doing the final numbers with the GM and he added $15-$16k on top of that price, I'm like..."woooo!" Hold on! The GM tried to tell me this is standard to mark up $15-$16k over msrp, so basically the car is priced all over the internet for $74k, I have a text message from sales person that confirmed the price was $74k, then the GM tries to do an end around. I wish I could be leaving a better review for this place, but unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of a disaster. My fiancé and I visited three times, each time dealing with Wilfredo, and at first, things seemed promising. We were interested in the Hyundai Santa Fe and were told Hyundai's loaner service was great--no more hassle like we had with our Range Rover. He even promised us that if we ever needed a loaner, we'd get a comparable vehicle or even a Genesis. That reassurance played a huge part in our decision to move forward. Fast forward to July 8, 2024: we bought a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy, the top model, paying $55,000 with $20,000 down. And then, the nightmare began. Just two days after buying the car, a recall was issued (JULY 7, 2024), but no one from the dealership bothered to mention it. Not even Wilfredo, who texted us on July 13 asking for a review but conveniently left out that small detail. We had no idea the car had any issues until we started experiencing transmission problems two weeks later. Instead of being informed about the recall, we unknowingly drove a car with a failing transmission back to the dealership, endangering ourselves in the process. And when my fiancé asked the service department if they'd seen this issue before, they acted clueless--even with a PUBLIC RECALL issued! They shrugged it off and offered us a stripped-down Tucson as a loaner. A $28,000 vehicle--how is that remotely comparable to the $55,000 car we just bought? Then came the real slap in the face: a call from Hyundai telling us that the transmission was completely ruined, and the car needed a new one. Oh, and by the way, the issue was due to that same recall we had to learn about on TIKTOK. After asking again for a loaner comparable to what we purchased, we got stuck with another bare-bones Tucson. What happened to that "comparable vehicle" promise? The car spent 45 days at the dealership before we got it back. Two days later, it was back again because they didn't properly install the transmission plate. And yes, we got stuck with yet another stripped-down Tucson. Then, a few days later, we had to return AGAIN--every single light on the dashboard lit up, ABS brakes weren't working, none of the safety features functioned, and an engine malfunction warning appeared. This car is a disaster, and after two more days, we're still waiting to hear anything from Hyundai about what's wrong. My fiancé even tried helping by mentioning common fixes he found online, and they refused to consider any of it. This whole experience has been beyond unacceptable. We've suffered mental anguish, wasted countless days, and lost money. The incompetence from sales, management, and Hyundai corporate is staggering. Bought genesis 70 advanced and have had brought my car to be serviced for engine overheating 9 times the past 9 months over 45 days with no car and zero loaner. Issue is still not resolved! This morning I took my car into this dealership. I had a scheduled appointment. When I made the appointment the guy on the phone told me that a technician can diagnose my car. Well I made an appointment and took my car in. The guy there told me that there is no one there who can diagnose my car on a Saturday. Why are people bringing in there car if no one can diagnose their car on a Saturday. I have once been there on a Saturday and a technician did diagnose my car. The ApplePlay feature on my 2023 Hyundai Ionic 5 was not working right. It would keep on cutting out. Did a bunch of research on the Internet, and the consensus was to get the USB port and cable replaced. I brought the car in to Napleton Hyundai to get them replaced and also to do scheduled maintenance for my car. Here are the results: Not totally trusting the service department there, I put an ink mark on the face of the USB port. They only had the car for about a half hour, and they came back and told me that they had replaced the parts, tested them, and all was fixed. However, I noticed that the ink mark was still there on the USB port. The ApplePlay is still disconnecting and reconnecting. Strike one! Per the scheduled maintenance, it typically only involves rotating the tires. When I took the car in, there was one tire that was a couple of PSI less than the other tires. When the car was returned to me, the tire with the couple PSI less was still in the same place! Strike two!! Obviously, not a place I would trust my car too - and maybe you shouldn't either! read more

This is the worst dealership for getting repair services. They upsell and use scare tactics to make you think your car needs more work than it does. They exaggerate the number of labor hours to do any job. If you can, go to any independent repair shop for any work that isn't free under your warranty, otherwise this place will overcharge you. TLDR: These guys are the classic snake oil salesmen who try to rip you off. I went in a few months ago to inquire about buying a car and trading mine in. Just like some many dealers, they put a "market adjustment" fee on all MSRP of 15%. However, they make it sound like you're getting something in return via free car cleaning services and other useless add ons. But that's not the issue. They said their surcharge was 15%, but on their quote, they rounded that surcharge up to the nearest thousand dollars hoping I won't notice. I asked the salesman a couple times to clarify that to give him a chance to explain, but they really wished I wouldn't notice that the 15% surcharge became almost 20% by rounding up. I pointed it out later and he pretended it was a mistake and fixed it. For my trade in, they offered 1/4 what I can get on the market, even with all the history my car has. Then, the salesman pretended to be generous and double the offer just like that. How kind of him! Do not buy your car here. They will try and deceive you wherever they can while putting on a seemingly professional and friendly front. This is in addition to the outrageous market adjustment that already charge. To be honest, lower inventory and high marketing costs are just costs of doing business, so to pass it onto customers is a pretty shady practice to begin with. I was quoted almost $32K for a $21K MSRP car, FWIW. read more

Had to take my car in for a defected shock that was under warranty. Dropped my car off on 1/23 at 4:38 pm. The intake person took pictures of everything. The following day, we received a call re: a "check engine light" being on. It was not on when the car was dropped off and not noted by the intake person. They went on to say that a "rodent" chewed wires and it would be $400 to fix. We went ahead with the work because there wasn't much choice. We picked up the car on 1/24 at 4:40. Drove home to Mount Prospect. Upon arrival, I asked my husband to show me where the work was done. Lo and behold when we opened the hood of my car, there was a huge raccoon under the hood. We have it on our ring camera. Called the dealership to complain that the responsibility should be on them as the car did NOT have chewed wires prior to going to their dealership (nor a raccoon) and sitting on their lot. We were told they have quite a problem with raccoons there and we would get a call back from the manager. We have not. We have always enjoyed our relationship with this Hyundai and especially David Choi, but I feel that this is BS. read more

As soon as I left their dealership I started hearing a faint creaking noise coming from the bottom of the vehicle. 3 weeks later as I'm driving down the street it sounds as the entire car is about to fall apart when I hit the smallest crack so I get to the dealership and I tell them I just paid $2,000 a few weeks back. First response, it'll be $180 "diagnostic fee". I said, but I just paid $2,000 a few weeks ago and this noise started as soon as I left the dealership. Their immediate next reply, "it can't be related"..."it's an old car"... Seriously?!?! You haven't even looked at anything and you are already setting me up. Took my car and left. My 2023 Huyndai Tuscon XRT with 1800 miles broke down in traffic Monday at 11:00am at Waukegan Road and Oakton Avenue. After pushing the vehicle out of traffic I called Hyundai roadside service and requested help. While waiting for a tow truck to assist me i called Napleton Hyundai of Glenview and informed them of what occurred and that I would be towed to their dealership. When the service manager took my information and placed the information in his computer he said you did not purchase the vehicle at the dealership. Although I'm not much of a "review" person I felt this was necessary . Last couple weeks have been hectic . Had an issue with my car which was actually the cause of a recall. I literally received a letter about recall and not even 2 weeks later after the car was completely fine for 4 yrs just wouldn't continue to run. After discovering the closest dealer to my home was no longer a Genesis Authorized dealer, I found myself "putting" the car all the way to glenview from the city. When I walked into dealer I was already pretty irate (the RBF don't help either ) at 08:45hrs after leaving last dealer and being told they couldn't help me after having service there for last 4 yrs. I was approached by a lovely lady named Nina , she was super nice and was compassionate after seeing how frustrated I was, and attempted to do everything she could " to talk me off the ledge" and rectify the situation. She was detailed listened to everything I said and offered what ever she could to make the day better. A couple days go by and I call for an update, I get a gentlemen named Richard. I don't think ever in my 42yrs of dealing with cars /car dealers / service have I ever ever met someone as knowledgeable as he is. He didn't rush me he gave me detail about all things that needed to be done and why they needed to be done. He treated me and made me feel like I was his family member who owned this car and would be driving it , what I needed to do to keep it perfectly running and why certain things are required at certain mileages. Thank you Richard and Nina I appreciate the kindness / compassion you showed me throughout this experience. I also reached out to the Genesis dealer to explain to them that it was because of the two of you my situation was fixed. I also advised them I never met someone as knowledgeable about their product and maybe they should consider having someone like Richard around at all there " authorized dealers". I hope the owners of Napleton Hyundai of Glenview read this and give these 2 a lil something extra. Customer service goes a long way in my book (I am a public servant) and I would drive a little further every time to be treated with the respect and have the knowledge that I received from these 2 employees. Classic bait and switch. Jaime, their internet sales person quoted me $380 on a new 2020 sonata lease with 15,000 miles, $0 down, for 36 months. Sounded too good to be true but I had to make sure before I sign with another dealership. I get there and the sales associate (who was very nice) tells me $499 with $2500 down. I drove 40 mins to get here from the city so I'm visibly pissed now. He got the manager and the manager tells me there must be some type of misunderstanding but I have texts with Jaime. Not sure what kind of stupid it takes to misquote someone by $120 a month. Dealership is probably nice and so is the sales people. Jaime in internet sales is why this gets 1 Star. read more

I have typically had good service from Napleton Hyundai but yesterday I brought the car in because the key fob wasn't working. They had my car for 5 hours and told me the hardware store had put in the wrong battery and it worked now. I should have tested it at the dealer but I didn't . This morning when I tried to use it, it won't work! And they can't give me an appointment for 13 more days. It wouldn't be awful if I could just use the key to open the door and start the car, but when I do that the car alarm goes off and it won't let me start the car with the key! When I told them hey your false advertising maybe an hour later they changed the price up to 6,500.00. This means they are sneaky liars and they waste people's times ... another grimy dealership... this only means that they can't be trusted... they don't keep or honor their own word! First experience trying to get my new Palisade serviced (oil change). I scheduled online 4 days ago with Napleton Hyundai of Glenview for a 5:00 pm oil change, which was offered on their website. Got a call same the day as my appointment telling me I'd have to leave my car over night and they will not lend a car for this as I bought my somewhere else. (Any service after 2pm is automatically kept overnight, including an oil change). Now I can't get in for another week with them. And this is if someone picks me up. If I elect to wait at the dealership for the oil change my scheduling time is much further out. Not very Hyundai customer friendly with their private policies. Hoping to locate a local Hyundai dealership that doesn't make it hard to use the 3 year maintenance free packages on these vehicles. read more

I made an appointment with NAPLETON Hyundai at 12 noon for an oil change. pulled into Service & was told they were so backed up, I would need to leave car overnight. I said no. Made another appointment. Drove back to Service to drop car off. I asked how long oil change, I was told it will be ready before closing. Again I said no & made another appointment. Drove back at 11am & was told I didn't have an appointment. When I got home, I found an appointment confirmation on computer sent a few days before for that day at 11am. I was a Napelton 3 times for an oil change that I never got. I will never go back for Service. read more

Worst dealership there is around, definitely do not buy or service any Genesis there. I dropped off my 2023 Genesis GV70 for my first oil change. After I picked it u, there was a scratch on the side of the car. They told me to bring the car back in which I did and dropped it off on a Monday afternoon, was told I would be called with an update the next day, and did not hear back until I called them on that Friday. I had also told them that there was a leak from the rear driver side tire, which they stated they were not able to find a leak. I was losing 5 to 10 psi of pressure every single day. I then stopped at a tire shop on the way home, and they were able to verify that there was a leak in the sidewall and they said it could not be repaired. Just from the drive from the dealership to the tire shop my tire lost five psi. In regards to the scratch, the service advisor stated that their body shop was booked for at least two weeks and will not be able to fix it until then. I now know that this dealership is filled with a bunch of liars, and they do not treat their Genesis customers how they should be. Don't call yourself a luxury brand when you are just providing worse than mediocre service. If I could give zero stars for the service that I have received, I would, and usually I never write negative ratings about establishments, but this was clearly egregious. read more
