STAY AWAY!!! Warning!! Brought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland for an oil change and to have the ABS light sensor addressed. After an hour in waiting area (expected) service tech comes back and tells me that there is an oil leak (gasket) AND I need to replace my four wheel drive. $7985 estimated for repairs. They could have it done within a week if I leave it. Thanked him for the recommendation but I would take the vehicle back and schedule another appointment. Received car back and ABS light STILL lit up. Not even addressed. Called dealership as I was driving home to tell them the light was still on and was sent to voicemail. Never heard back Brought car to two ASE Certified mechanics who both came to same conclusion. No oil leak (drips from oil change) and four wheel drive is perfectly fine outside of recommending fluid needs to be changed. This was three years ago and engine is running perfect and have engaged the four wheel drive numerous times with zero issues. Fast forward to last month, Jeep needed suspension work (indicator light) addressed. Three mechanics all said that I needed to take it to dealership. All I could think of when each said this, don't trust Fields. Finally found a mechanic that fixed it. Happily paid him $4K as I knew he would not try to make a fast buck and was honest with me.Trust matters in any transaction not dollars. From start to finish this was the WORST experience I've ever had at a dealership 1. Call because I'm very interested in a truck they have. "We don't do outside financing, you have to finance with us" Me- Sorry we couldn't do business". Hour later they call back to say "We'll do it this one time" 2. Having to come down multiple times because "You're out of state" for the funds to complete being wired (And I also put a $500 Deposit down the first day I went there). Last car I bought was from Gurnee, IL and they let me TAKE the car without even having the down payment or any sort of deposit on the vehicle. 3. Truck I purchased was a 2020 Ram 1500 5.7. Didn't haggle on the price, gave them their asking price. Obviously the "hemi tick" i.e. manifold exhaust system are known for going bad on these with their bolts and gaskets. The NEXT MORNING I started the truck up i noticed it, said "no way they sold me this with that already like that" waited a couple more days and gave a call explaining it. No loaners available, so I have to pay out of pocket to Enterprise for them to have my truck. Get to Enterprise and they tell me "Oh yeah, they're always just throwing there vehicles at us, so we have all these rentals available." But yet they're "3 weeks out from loaners" 4. Took them 2 days to find the ticking on a cold start, but occurs EVERY time the truck is started. Crazy right? The state statue has a 500 mile or 15 day warranty, whichever comes first, that is required by the state. But "we don't cover manifold exhaust, only manifold intake". Guy tells me 1200 on the phone to fix, then texts me saying original offer was 1900, then drops it down to 900. Obviously going to do it myself. Paid out of pocket for the rental which was never reimbursed. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM HERE. read more

Very disorganized service department. I was told I would be able to have a rental car after making an appt 3 weeks out for a check engine light and recall on my 2022 jeep. No rental cars available when I came for my appointment and they said they would need to keep my car for 2-3 days. If I could give less stars, I would. Especially the service dept. Bought a car new from them, opted for the extended warranty (7 years, covers basically any mechanical issue with $100 deductible). Car had not a single issue during that time. I now know the car had a myriad of issues they just didn't disclose them to me because Mopar pays a set price for repairs under warranty (in other words, Mopar has predetermined prices for any/all repair a car could need). However, if the customer is paying for the repair out of pocket, they can (and do) basically charge whatever amount they want (no less than $1000). Right before the warranty ran out with my car (barely 50k miles on the car) they needed to rip apart half of the engine. It was covered under warranty. Then the warranty ran out and a few months later, surprise! Engine needs to be ripped apart again, and this time both sides of the engine need to be repaired. After much back and forth with Mopar, corporate, the dealership, etc... it was finally agreed upon that they would cover most of the cost of the repair, I only needed to pay $2k of it (which I still wasn't happy with but what can I do?)... and ever since then, whenever my car is serviced there, it comes out with more problems than it went in with. I point out the issues immediately, and they take the car back to diagnose the issue that they created. When they call me, they indicate it will be a $1000+ dollar repair... for something they broke! Total B.S... when I refuse the repair and go pick the car up, they tell me I need to pay the $175 diagnosis fee. What. A. Joke! That exact situation has happened on more than one occasion too. I finally stopped having my car serviced there after they started telling me I needed all these erroneous repairs, most of the time totaling over $6k... WITHIN WEEKS OF ALREADY HAVING SOME OTHER REPAIR. Took my car to a different shop and guess what? None of the things that Jeep said "needed to be replaced/repaired," actually needed to be replaced/repaired. Dishonest, untrustworthy, unprofessional, *questionably* trained technicians (how does my car always come out with more problems than when it went in?) ... you can never get an apt to have your car serviced because they're always causing additional damage to vehicles they're servicing - causing an endless backlog of vehicles in need of service. I purchased my suv at this location and been getting my service ever since. I went to the express oil change the last two times and Joshua was my service guy. He was knowledgeable and friendly and got me in and out within about 40 minutes. Can't beat that! The shop is cozy, they have beverages, coffee, snacks and ice cream. I purchased a certified pre owned (CPO) Jeep from Fields. At the time of purchase, there were items that needed to be addressed and the GM (Mike Torre) agreed and set an appointment for the items which needed to be fixed, including the vehicle hood which was part of a Class-Action lawsuit recall that had not been addressed. On 1/7/24, I brought my car in as scheduled and was told, when I came to get my vehicle, that replacement of the hood would not be honored because the previous lessee "must have been in an accident" and had it fixed and a missing "anti corrosion sticker" which voided the recall by Jeep. This goes against the Jeep CPO policy which states that paint is inspected and covered. I then took the vehicle to another certified Jeep body shop who informed me that there is no such thing as the aforementioned sticker and that the hood was both a factory hood AND factory paint. They said that it was covered under the Jeep recall and has been submitted for repair. Fields fraudulently sold a car as CPO, and did not follow the policy for coverage under the CPO policy nor under the recall class action, but instead offered for me to pay them for repairs which were agreed upon at the time of purchase. FIELDS RESPONSE: Our process is to send the vehicle to the body shop for the professional opinion of the condition of the customer's concern . This vehicle has had the hood replaced/painted, as the label is not in the correct position that it comes in from the factory . The label has been removed & reinstalled at some point . The factory clear coat is no longer on the hood of this vehicle per the professional opinion of our body shop . The corrosion warranty process requires an estimate & pictures to show proof to the factory that there's a defect or corrosion to be approved & the claim paid by the manufacturer. We must follow those guidelines. We do not know what the outcome of the customer's concern until the inspection has been done & reported back to us as the end result from the body shop. We will not be able to perform a warranty repair on the hood because it no longer has the factory clear coat. MY RESPONSE: I am rejecting this response because: Fields responded that they took pictures of the vehicle (LIE), they supplied them to Jeep (LIE), I am the SECOND owner of this vehicle and I should NOT be held responsible for the actions of the previous owner/lessee of the vehicle. Fields should honor the Jeep CORPORATE, certified, Pre-owned policy on the jeep.com website https://www.jeep.com/certified-pre-owned.html I have been trying to reach the General Manager (voicemail tag is being played) FIELDS BRUSH OFF RESPONSE: I've spoke to Mr. Dryman in detail about the situation . He's going to have the vehicle taken to another facility to do the work he's looking for. MY RESPONSE: I am rejecting this response because: The dealership needs to accept responsibility for its actions and admit that they lied to me about multiple items related to this case. Yes, I am taking the car to another Chrysler-Certified body shop in the Chicago area because I do not trust Fields to touch my car as they have proven their worth. They got their one and only sale from me, my friends, or family. This will change and reflect my review of their dealership and their business practices. I have had so many issues with this service shop. DO NOT come here if you can avoid it. Today is just the latest problem: I took my Jeep in for a Tune-up and Recall. No issues with anything, just regular maintenance. Got the call to come pick up the car and a mile down the road I realized that they had actually broken one of the turn signals that wasn't even an issue before dropping it off. Makes me very nervous about the quality of the multi-point inspection considering they handed me back the car and one of the key functions was now broken due to their mistake that went un-checked. They took the car back in and fixed the newly broken bulb so that's fine, but what else could have been missed?? I have only great things to say about my experience buying at Fields. I found a wrangler that fit all of my specifications and made an appointment to test drive it on their website. It was pulled up to the front of the dealership before I arrived (at open). I worked with Sales Consultant Keyon Bevans. He was kind, knowledgable and not at all pushy. He was patient with my questions and pointed out additional things I didn't know I would want to know. After the purchase was official, he took the time to help me get setup in the vehicle and practice taking the top on/off. I truly felt like his number 1 priority was being helpful, making sure I was confident in my choice and then guiding me through the buying process. We purchased the service plan for our vehicle when we bought our car there. This was a massive mistake. It takes on average 2.5 hours to get your oil changed. You can not make an appointment and even if you go at the recommended times it is 1 hour and 45 minutes. When you get there it is a disorganized mess and no one can give you even an estimate of how long anything will take. They have some good customer service agents and some who clearly hate what they do and could care less about your time or even being polite. They seemed to have put all of their money into their nice waiting room rather than hiring enough mechanics to service their cars or a decent scheduling system. We are in the market for two cars right now and as much as I love my chrysler, I won't go here because of the very poor service experience. read more

I took my Jeep Patriot in for an oil change and tire rotation on Monday, July 8th. During the visit, it was highly recommended that I have the left rear wheel bearing worked on/replaced ASAP. I mentioned I was going to make another trip to northern Michigan the next day and so I agreed to have the recommended work done ($550). Five days later, I have a blown out tire on the side of M 131 in the middle of nowhere Michigan. After an additional night paid for a hotel and an unplanned additional day off of work, I brought in the blown out tire to Fields on my way back into town from Michigan. I spoke with the service manager and wasn't able to get any answers other than that the crew surely couldn't have missed any damage as my car was worked on by "their best technician". Ultimately, I am disappointed that Fields did not stand by their work given the odd timing of the situation (within 5 days and less than 500 miles) of their work. I will consider a different Jeep dealership moving forward for any other repair or routine maintenance work. I will most definitely consider a different Jeep dealership for any new car needs given their dismissal of what was a very dangerous situation so close to the timing of their workmanship. read more

Zero Stars. What a disappointment and I am a Glenview resident. Dear neighbors run away from this local business. Run fast. They do not seem to care about the service they provide. 1. I tried several times to buy a car there. The worst experience I have had at a dealership. I will not give all details but they certainly were not trying to close a deal. I drove an hour out to an Aurora dealership and closed in two hours. 2. Had an issue (still do) with a computer problem. I have since called the Fields service director three times this week on three separate days asking her if the part came in. Not one call back from three separate days of calls. How unprofessional is that? My next stop is to contact corporate and advise what Fields is doing to their brand quality with this simply awful service. We Called to see what was wrong w/ truck at 330 pm and they were too busy to get to it. " these new cars take longer to service" we were told..... Next day they called, with $6000 repair on pick up truck !! No , we will pick it up, went to a repair shop and got all repaired for $1000, including the worn front brakes that they didn't catch ...... and they now have lost a fleet of trucks that was serviced there. ZERO STARS! Only did one because it won't post with zero. Our "Express Oil Change" only took 4 hours and cost $1830.57. It would have been $1880.57 if we hadn't looked on Field's website and found a $50 off coupon which took quite an effort to get applied to the bill. The final blow was when we went to drive the vehicle home, the internal fan (defrost/heat) sounded like a jet plane taking off, so we brought it back in to David, our "Service Advisor". He informed us that it would be another $300 to fix it even though it was working fine when we arrived there 4 hours earlier. Worst Customer service ever. Nickel-and-diming horrible experience. They think that they will give you a great deal while their own internet prices are different from what they discount their cars at the show room. Chances are they are brag between themselves when they cheating customers that buying from them. And most of the times show room is empty, no customers but huge inventory on the parking lot while other dealers are looking for the cars availability because people do buy from the competition that struggle for customers especially in that category of the consumer segment. I'll begin by saying that my husband and I had been loyal Fields customers for 5+ years with our Jeep SRT, until recently. My family -- my babies, my three-month-old and two-year-old -- was put in danger just 2.5 days after proactively taking in our Jeep in for a service/maintenance visit and oil change prior to our first road trip as a new family of four for a family wedding in Ohio. After more than a month-and-a-half of looking for answers from Fields Service Department, follow ups and lack of response from the service department, I wanted to share in hopes to seek resolve and long overdue answers. The service/maintenance issue was not communicated to us (or perhaps even overlooked? However, said issue was additionally confirmed by three separate Ohio auto industry professionals). This avoidable happening unexpectedly cost my family hundreds of dollars (hotel, food, diapers, extra specialty tire to get home, etc.), time, stress, anxiety and energy -- during and post experience -- as we were stranded six hours from home. To add, a safety recall for the cruise control (which we used on the trip) was overlooked during the visit but was taken care of by the Ohio Jeep dealership. My family and I hope to get resolve, understanding and answers but we will no longer be taking our cars here anymore. read more

So Unprofessional Zero stars! I went for a Thermostat replacement and the next day I found out my fuel supply tube was broken and fuel was leaking all over the engine, They didn't even bother to close the engine cover and also they're not admitting their mistake. Now my jeep is sitting at the dealership for over a month because apparently part is back order and they're keep pushing the date. When I try to get in touch with a service manager I get the answer that she's on vacation. Customer satisfaction is not the priority for this dealership. I regret doing business with them. read more

On Tuesday morning(today) I called before I left my house and received the same quote I got from JOSE. I advised I would be there in about 20min. I stated yes I was already quoted this out the door at $461.00. He states "ooo no that's not right". I said well are your calls recorded? He stated No. I advised I should have recorded mine on my work phone. He then asked if I got the quote in writing I repeated how could I when I told you I called Friday and spoke to JOSE and called again before I left today. ROBERT advised he would speak to his manager came back and stated "idk what you want me to do"(while laughing). Further stating, We wouldn't quote that" I advised I want what I was quoted not to be told one thing and then get here and it's something else. He was very unhelpful and rude and condescending. I was lied to by JOSE and ROBERT just added to it and my time was wasted being here from 11:30am-2pm. And now I have to take my car elsewhere and hope ROBERT/JOSE and the crew didn't try to do no sneaky business with my car!!!! I had to take my car in repeatedly for the same repair over and over and the only thing they said was bad parts. bad part?? maybe once maybe twice but not three times. Took my vehicle after waiting one month with an appointment to get it diagnose for headlight. Drop the vehicle on a Thursday at 10am. Gentlemen told me it will take some time to get it diagnosed because they were busy. The day went by and didn't received a call with an update. The following day I had to call at 4pm because I have not heard any update. Gentlemen told me that they still had not gotten to the diagnosis because they were busy and it will probably be done on Monday. I was upset because they never told me how long this will take and didn't bother to give an update. I then requested to talk to the manager which she told me she will request for the diagnosis to be done ASAP. They then called me within a few minutes and told me that since the vehicle was involved in an accident the warranty will not cover the repair which was around $500.00. I then told them I would not fix it there and will pick the vehicle the next day. Following day I picked the vehicle and they charged me $200 for the diagnosis. Something the rep didn't even mention to me over the phone which I understand they had to take time to do that but it was also an unconvinced for myself. We brought our vehicle in for inspection because of a brake warning light and tire pressure indicators warnings. The car sat for two days. We were told that 3 of four tires had nails in them and the fourth was leaking from the rim. Fields wanted to charge over $800 to patch 2 tires, replace one and reseat the rim on the fourth. We chose not to proceed with the repairs until we could further inspect the tires and we're charged a lofty inspection fee to get the vehicle back. Took the car the next day to Discount Tire to have the tires inspected. They found no nails. I couldn't believe it so inspected the tires myself. There were none. DON'T TRUST FIELDS. read more
