Unhelpful. My brand new electric Macan would not charge. Despite promises of loaners and door to door service when I bought the car, I was told to drop off the car and they would try to get to it some time in the next week. No offer to pick up the car, no offer for a loaner and no offer to drop me off after leaving the car with them. I was told that if I could wait 3 weeks (remember my car electric car wont charge), they would have a loaner. I was basically told to make my own arrangements for a car until they could get it fixed. read more

By far the worst car buying experience in my life. Purchased a certified used 911 under warranty. Engine light came on as I'm driving it home! Sales, owners, and service staff turned a deaf ear. Car was in the shop more than my garage. Car turned out to be a lemon even though the owner Mike S., insisted the car was like new with no issues. Had to escalate to Porsche North America who provided a nominal compensation for this dealers incompetence. Sold the car when a transmission leak developed. It was the last straw. Bottom line - buy elsewhere. read more

I don't overreact when I say that Porcsche Exchange has the BEST customer service ever! Seriously it is one of the best experience from all Car salons in US. From the moment you step in they will greet you with a smile and right away you will get your SA ( sale assistant). Steven was our assistant and I loved the way he managed all our questions and ideas and suggestions. Very knowledgeable and very polite. He made me make thinking about some options with Porsche and I love that. He has a spirit of a true salesman. He will makes you feel more than welcome. It's been a while but I need to post. I bought a Porsche from PE last year; bought one extra insurance package, the finance manager I had to ask 3 times what it included. He told me the wrong thing each time.... As I was reading I asked him. It was incorrect on his end. He didn't tell me the truth. When I deal with a Dealer, I expect to get what I'm paying for. I expect to be told the actual truth; not have to be told something that wasn't correct. I know now he thought I'd believe him. I read the fine print; maybe he thought I wouldn't. This place is overrated and overpriced for service. It seems like after the pandemic everything changed for the worse. I took my car there and had to end up taking it somewhere else. They never discuss or call me to discuss main issues. I spent over 3,000 dollars and they still didn't address main issue that I didn't know about. It's going to be hard to express how great my experience was at Porsche Exchange, but I'll give it a shot. First, communication tends to be an underwhelming aspect in car buying when you need to wait months to your car. Michael and Rocco would reply within minutes, all the time. For a dealer with this much volume you'd think they fall short, but everyone was fast to get answers. Finance, I leased a car and the entire experience was one of the easiest I've had. Forms, paper work, different options were expressed to me in detail. I felt comfortable the whole time and would trust them with any of my friends that fear the numbers part of buying cars. These guys done hide markups and try to nickel and dime. Delivery, Sam was amazing, sharing in my excitement for my car, a true enthusiast. I already owned a Porsche, so he only covered the differences between the new car and old. You can't do this without knowing the cars well Parts/Boutique, I was absolutely pampered by Crystal, got all my goodies including a lot of freebies from the dealership. Simple things, like Porsche books, coffee cup, all stuff that really gets you more excited about the brand. I'm so happy with my purchase and mainly this dealership. I live in Austin, TX and have no intention of buying a Porsche from anywhere else but Porsche Exchange. They really did go above and beyond. read more

Well...I've had to reassess my review of the Porsche Exchange because my subsequent experiences have not met my expectations. While the Porsche Exchange did correctly identify the problem with the fuel pumps, it took a second trip for them to decide to replace all of the fuel pumps on my 2017 Cayenne S. While the fuel pressure issue seems to be mostly resolved (the car has had a slow crank or two in the past few months), the technician(s) broke three of the four plastic clips that hold the rear bench seat down. The day we picked up the car, I started to notice an annoying rattle coming from behind. My heart sank, and I shot off an email response to a survey complaining. They quickly got in touch with me and offered to make it right. They had me come in and took photographs and ordered the parts. However, they did not contact me to let me know the parts came in, despite me emailing them twice to inquire...over the course of almost three months. I felt ghosted. A couple of days ago, I became due for my 10k service and had scheduled the appointment a long way out. It turns out, the clips had arrived there some time ago, but no one thought to reach out to me. Unfortunately, they'd only ordered two clips when three of the clips had been broken. Now, I have to go back again to have the other clip replaced. Raul has promised to contact me about it when it comes in. I am going to hold him to that. I got totally conflicting messages from the three Porsche dealerships that I have relationships about what 30k service entails on my vehicle. The maintenance booklet says it is just an oil and filter change along with spark plugs. The Exchange told me that it was an $825 service that excludes spark plugs, but includes several other items not listed under 30k service in my maintenance booklet. My partner was becoming frustrated, so I elected to just do an oil change. Unfortunately, at $300, my partner wasn't pleased with that either. Raul was very understanding, and I felt very bad that we'd been so indecisive. But, I'm frustrated that no one seems to know exactly what 30k service entails. At this point, I feel that the employees of The Exchange are very kind and that the dealership offers a great environment--I'd enjoyed the Taycan launch party that was held earlier this year. However, their competence is simply not up to the level that I would expect from any luxury marque dealership. Multiple trips to the dealership for a single issue on a car that hasn't even been in service for three years, damaging the car and hoping it would go unnoticed, stapling other customers' paperwork to my invoice, and unresponsiveness are significant marks against them. I look forward to getting the final clip replaced. Once that is done, I'll have to do some thinking about working with them again. They fixed a complicated issue, but I'm not confident that my best interests are being looked after, and I'm not pleased with their vaunted customer service--Raul aside. read more

Horrible service. Dropped off car for 2000 mile service and $1600 later got all kinds of attitude when I asked if they can give any discount off the price. This is pretty standard for any premium dealership in Northshore if you ask them they will do it. Literally their sister dealership Audi exchange does this for me every time. The folks at the Exchange truly don't understand what customer service is. Their all interactions start with a "No". The idea is to do the least possible amount of service while charging maximum possible. Comparing them to Loeber is night and day. I have stopped by to ask for modification on my Cayenne only to hear a list of requirements for them to perform what I came for (because despite the fact that I was happy to pay for the services needed, that was not enough). If you are able to go to Loeber, go there. Much better bed side manner. read more

I bought Macan S 2015 which was 2 years old car. My car was very well maintained, regular oil change, brake change and service done on certified Porsche dealership. My car has 82k miles, which is around 10k miles per year. I was driving on highway when the car completely lost a power and start shaking. All possible faults board computer showed. Mechanic said that the compression in the 4th cylinder completely lost and it might be do to broken piston, piston liners, or broken valve, as he can see oil on the spark and metallic parts in the oil. My car is out of warranty, but the question is how that possible that the car engine with such pedigree and history is broken on 82k miles. It was my favorite make. I bought it when was a fellow physician. I finished my fellowship, and now became attending surgeon. I was looking other Porsche to replace that one. I was ready to buy 911, or Panamera turbo s or Taycan. Now, Porsche is my biggest disappointment. Never again. I do understand that for Porsche one client plus one client minus is not a big deal, but still I hope I'II let people know what you can expect. And there is no any other assistance programs to assist with repair that was estimated around 10k. And it was not my fault that metallic mechanical part broke on such low milage. read more

I called to schedule a Technical service appointment vehicle for my vehicle. I didn't even have to ask if a loaner was available, as they offered one for my use. I arrived at the dealership and it took very little time to get my car, get my loaner and be on my way. During my short wait time, I was offered to relax in their lounge. While there I ordered an iced latte which was amazing! The barista there is terrific, friendly, and makes a great iced coffee. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was told there would be no charge for the service that was done. Mandeep, my service advisor talked to the service manager, and they decided they would incur any costs associated with the repairs. This was a great surprise and really gave me a positive vibe as far as visiting their dealership for future service and maintenance. My car was returned spotless inside and out. Casey, the assistant service manager, introduced himself before I left. I had a few questions about some of the car's features. He got in my car to show me how to access them in addition to some other features I was not even aware were on the car. He was very patient and helpful. Casey is also a great representative of the dealership. Btw giving me a brand new loaner was a great move - very tempted to trade my current car for a new model! read more

I have found that of all the Exchanged dealerships the Porsche Exchange is the most friendly and has a family feel. I purchased a Cayman there a few years back and through the entire process I found them to be upfront and courteous. Like the Audi Exchange the Porsche Exchange will hand wash your car at any time for free. I bring my kids with and we stop by look at the cars get a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and talk to all the people there. The mechanics know I like to do things myself and they will give me tips and what to do. From little to big things they alway are willing to give me advice and pointers. Out of all the dealerships I have ever worked with the Porsche Exchange has the nicest staff and they treat me like family. I will definitely get my next Porsche from them! read more

I show up at maybe 6:30 with my son looking to buy a car and we're the only people in the dealership. 6 people standing around the front desk. No one greets us. We go ask if we can sit in a car bc it needs to be unlocked in the showroom. He unlocks it and stays on his phone doesnt even engage with us doesnt ask us any questions or anything and WALKS BACK with the group of employees to talk. locks the car we were originally looking at and puts away the key. not even asking if we need any help or have any questions. We get so frustrated go up to everyone and say what shitty service. Looking easily to spend 300k and they couldnt do even a decent job. Horrible customer service. They end up saying they lock the car bc of theft around other dealerships. Yeah sick i was really gonna steal a 300k car in the middle of the showroom with 6 employees and just me and my son. I just want to say I had the best Experience with Nick Kopp. He was very knowledgable, professional, and most importantly not rude. I went to many Porsche dealers and most were good but Nick and The Porsche Exchange were exceptional. I was really upside down on my Mercedes but he got me the best lease deal on a new Cayman and got me out the door fast. Even got the extended maintenance from Mike Bartuch, which once you calculate all the numbers was a no brainer. Highly recommend Nick and the Exchange. I bought my first Porsche here 1.5 years ago. The service was GREAT during the sales process and they were of course responsive and helpful...then. But since, I've never received a follow up call from my salesperson and when I had questions for him I did feel a bit like a bother. A couple months ago, I called with a compass issue (my compass refuses to set to "north up") and he said he would get back to me. Six entire weeks went by with nothing from Alex. Finally I called and his excuse was verbatim, "yeah they never got back to me about this issue." Ok, so just leave a customer hanging for 6 weeks? And then the call dropped and he never thought to call me back. So rude. At Acura and Lexus the dealer followed up a while later and with both of those brands I bought a new car with my first oil change as I get bored fast. I don't think I'll be doing that at this location. It doesn't feel like a luxe experience to me. read more

My Bluetooth still can not work. I try to tell them, you guys have to fix up the Bluetooth! But they still put the question on mine, such as: The car don't accept your app! The Honda car can accept! The Lexus can accept! Only Porsche can't!! Highlight！The staff in the technical department says ：You have to find a way to connect the Bluetooth!! I ask him what do you mean? Fortuately for me prior to almost purchasing a Cayenne here I had to opportunity to experience how they would treat an unknown female who walks into the dealership. The Brand Ambassador I had been doing business with was not present but there were three associates who had sight of my presence in the boutique dealership. Not one greeted me or inquired if they could help me. I stood there for at least five minutes. One was in a conversation with an apparent client while the two other men stared at their computer screens. The loser is the attentive Brand Ambassador who is young and I'm sure eager to grow his customer base. We would have been loyal long term clients who pay in cash. We own a LR3 and a jaguar and have had excellent service from both local dealerships. By the way, sales 101 with female consumers. The Porsche name is not sufficient to overcome an epic sales failure. Maybe men are allured with the Porsche brand but women prefer excellent service. read more

Went into the Porsche Exchange yesterday afternoon to see about trading my Audi RS4 in for a new Cayman or a used 911. They couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my existence. Not a single person asked if I needed help, or even said hello. In fact, one salesperson saw me checking out a used Carrera 4S, and instead of coming over to assist me, he rolled his eyes and walked away! If they can't be bothered to help potential new customers, I wonder how they will treat me once they already have my money. I will be taking my business elsewhere. P.S. I stopped in at Lake Forest Sportcars (authorized Ferrari and McLaren dealer) before hand just for kicks and ironically got fantastic service. we had the BEST service ever while buying a Macan S today from Matt! my husband and I flew out to Porsche Beachwood in Ohio to pick up his 911 turbo last year and did not have anywhere close to the experience we had today! and that was for a car twice the price! we were given a choice of key fob colors, a new iphone cord already in the car, and a cute gift set of roses. they made the process quick and easy. absolutely appreciate the attention to detail and a great buying experience. we look forward to continuing to be customers here. read more

Not sure what was with John's experience, but I have only had great experiences w/this dealership. There is a reason they've been a Porsche Premier dealer for so many years. There are only 25 Premier dealers in North America every year. Check the online Porsche forums as well, most people in the area swear by this dealership. I bought a Porsche from them about 7 months ago and got a great deal with freebies thrown in. They gave a very fair price on my trade-in and never tried to play any of the common finance games. There was never any pressure either. The guys in the service department are great as well, I've had them do things for free that other dealerships would've charged for. All of my future Porsche purchases will be from them. read more

I'm just starting to save for my first Porsche, a Boxster or perhaps Cayman if I can put enough aside. Given my druthers, I would like to buy a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) Porsche here as my first car. I had a nice chat with the head of the CPO program, and he seemed like a good guy: a real enthusiast, not a sleazebag. He races his own cars, and has an eye for what separates a good car from a true gem. Its a bit of a hike out of the city, but its worth it. The selection is good here, they have two (!!!) brand new GT2s, the widowmaker. They also only carry Porsches onsite, no other distracting cars or lesser brands. I have been going to a Porsche Dealer since 2008. This year 2021, I tried to go to Porsche Exchange in Highland Park because it's closer to my place. To my dismay, I found that not all Porsche dealers are created equal or have the same customer service standards. I have the worst experience ever. I brought my car for a simple front brakes pads/rotor and a window regulator problem of my Porsche Cayenne S and it took 3 weeks for them to secure the service parts needed and the worst of it all is that when I paid for my invoice they didn't do the brakes and rotors which was my primary reason to go there. I waited for 3 weeks for nothing. No one even verified the job service I wanted them to do. They stated in my invoice I declined the service job. The service account representative has a poor customer service aptitude. He never updates his customers, never called and informs you of what's going on. For 3 weeks he only called once. I was the one calling to get an update. I will never recommend this dealer to a friend or anyone. Go to Barrington! read more
