Bought a 2024 Ford Expedition Limited from Marc at Bredemann today. I applied for financing this morning, was contacted within an hour and set up with a salesperson in another 15 minutes. Told them I was buying an expedition from them or someone else today and informed them of others available in the area. I went in and saw Marc, got a quick appraisal on a trade in at kbb fair value and a little off advertised price at a great rate on the expedition. Was in an out with a new car within 2 hours. Easy to do business with and no bs you get from some dealers. Marc Kuperman was professional, timely, and fair. Overall good experience. read more

I got "the works" which was a check up and oil change, and fluid top off. They failed to do the fluids as well as missed an electrical issue on my car which should have come up on an inspection. I've tried to call multiple times to ask about this and could not get anyone to answer or return a voicemail. read more

I got no complaints. David Owen's worked with Golf Mill Ford to get my extended warranty going on my 2020 explorer. I had brought it in for recalls but I had one tire pressure sensor go off then the other on left side. I wasn't driving it since it would not go off. A tow truck was a 4 hour wait. I slowly got it to Golf Mill. The warranty company was the dictator to the dealer I took it to. But Glenview Ford got them to let Golf Mill to fix it. Ridiculous. Don't waste your time. Zero stars if possible. I call literally 30 minutes beforehand to confirm the AWD HYBRID MAVERICK was ON THE LOT. The ford rep confirmed that this vehicle pictured had indeed arrived and was available for a test drive. To ask for John when I arrived. Just to be sure, in case God forbid, someone drove off with it in the 30 mins it would take to get there, I CONFIRMED with the rep there were indeed other AWD HYBRID MAVERICKS on the lot, available for both test drive and purchase. Mind you, it was a bit of a drive here and I've been working on tracking down this vehicle for a test drive. Of course, when I show up, no one knows who John is. Or which ford rep answered their phone at 4.23p today, barely 30 minutes prior. Finally they "id" that the person I spoke with was at their "call center" not located there. And likely didn't have the most updated info. That a dealership agreed to a trade or something to that effect for that very specific vehicle. For whatever reason that vehicle was not available. "So sorry...." "It's a super hot vehicle" ..."Other vehicles are available, let's look" and blah blah blah. This was the 4th Ford dealership I've worked with in recent days. The others have been up front if they did not have this particular vehicle in stock (no worries). But for this dealership to lie. And then state that they had additional awd hybrid mavericks physically onsite, in different colors, to drive and purchase, today for sure. Well, that's clearly completely false. What we call a lie. So yeah, there's the facts. These folks are liars and will do whatever they can to get you in the door to try and make a buck. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Awful service department, Ford owners beware. My F150 was displaying several warning lights and the Ford Pass sent me several emails with an unsuspecting warning for electrical failure. I brought my F150 to Bredemann FORD where I have had both of my FORDS serviced with outstanding service for years. I was dealt with by GUS, who explained to me that the battery was just low because it was cold out. I told him the battery was just a year old, and it started throwing codes before the cold snap which was just a day ago. He was rude and did not want to listen to me as he was stuffing his face with some greasy fast food at the front counter in the service dept., very unprofessional. I had to insist to them to reset the codes, and check engine light, as he told me to just keep driving it. The next day I brought my F150 to an independent mechanic who I know and trust. He discovered that the timing chain was bad and that is a fairly common issue with the FORD V8's. If I would of kept driving it, the engine would of seized up and I would have to replace the entire engine at around 16,000 dollars. I had my independent mechanic replace the timing chain, along with many other things to ensure longevity for this motor. I just recently found out through a FORD mechanic that the dealers would rather have you replace the motor so they can make more money off you then fix the original problem. In conclusion I would not trust this dealership at all and nor will I be bringing any of my FORD's to the service department again, Beware of Bredemann Ford service dept. in Glenview. read more

I am not sure what has happened to this place over the past few years. Here is how my past few visits have gone: 1. Ford F150 with a transmission issue (under warranty). They had the truck for an extended period (maybe a month or more). Went to pick up the truck, drove out of service and the transmission had a catastrophic failure after 3 blocks...you read that correctly 3 blocks. I limped the truck back to the dealership immediately and was not at all happy. Handed the keys to the first available service writer voiced my displeasure and left. The next day I received a phone call asking why I had caused a scene and thrown my keys at the service writer. Complete BS, and I asked them if there were security cameras to review the footage as that never happened. I am not sure what became of that request, but it does not leave a good feeling as a consumer to get accused of this. 2. Traded the F150 in for a lease on a Ranger. The sales department did a great job and was fairly happy with the truck. I took the truck in for some routine maintenance as well as an issue with the seat, and an issue with the roof rail peeling. Routine maintenance was completed, the roof rail was addressed (supposedly) and nothing was done with the seat. They told me to just slam the back seat hard. I was not happy with how it was addressed and was not happy with the previous service with the F150 so I began doing my routine maintenance at another Ford location. 3. Purchased the same ranger out of my lease in December of 2022 and also purchased an extended warranty. I started noticing a few issues with the truck and began to catalog them for a larger service visit to address all of the issues at one time. Dropped the truck off and within a few days started receiving calls with quotes and poor explanations as to what was going on with the truck Concern: Transmission shifts hard and occasional shuttering Dealer: Not sure on that trans seems to be ok. We did hook the truck up to the computer and are seeing an occasional misfire. We have seen this occasionally where it could be water intrusion. We could start digging into it but there is a cost and tuneups are not covered under any warranty Again I call BS. If the scheduled service (from Ford) is 100,000 miles for a tune-up and you are telling me that some sort of water intrusion is the culprit you better bet the warranty I purchased from you should cover it. Concern: 4X4 Service light occasionally comes on. Dealer: Faulty Switch here is your price (more on warranty below) Concern: Trim piece on roof that was supposed to be addressed on the last visit. Dealer: This has been previously replaced Me: No it has not because I have photos from before the last visit and it is identical to what it looks like now Dealer: It appears that our records indicate that it has been replaced and this is not under warranty and how did you not notice this previously Me: I do not make it habit to crawl on the roof of my truck Concern: A variety of other issues not worth mentioning Started to discuss what was the purpose of a warranty if nothing was covered. The service advisor told me my warranty had expired. I will spare you all the story of that back and forth of no follow-up, and being blown off. I had enough, canceled my flight out of Chicago to work, and drove their loaner immediately to deal with this. Long story short Bredemann coded the warranty incorrectly when I purchased it but still for a short period tried to justify it. I bought the truck in Dec of 22 and bought the warranty. How they coded it meant that the warranty expired just a few months and a few thousand miles from my Dec 22 purchase as it was coded as a new car warranty. After some back and forth after almost a week of dealing with this, I just wanted to leave the dealer. I was charged $379 for a diagnostic fee and left with my truck. Calling Ford was worthless. They essentially told me "You signed the contract". Bredemann did rectify the situation (thank you) and I now have the warranty on my truck. It was not rocket science but nobody outside of one person in the back office had any interest in looking at this. The $379 diag fee was BS but I am comfortable in stating that they can keep it and gives further justification to this review. read more

Brought a leased car back at 3 pm, was supposed to bring back in morning but couldn't because my dad died that morning. When I brought in the paperwork, the manager started literally yelling at me for being late. Never got a word in past his rant. When they did a follow up call to ask about the Bredemann experience, my mother told them of the manager's rudeness and what had transpired ( dad's passing) that day. Their response was "Well that wouldn't be good for their business if word got out, so don't tell people ." Seriously ?!?! No apologies whatsoever, not even a "Sorry for your loss, Mam." Needless to say, even if they were giving Fords away, I will NEVER return to that dealership, the mere sight of the Name on the sign Bredeman makes me sick. read more

Bredemann advertised a pre-owned Ford Fusion through Edmunds.com, I contacted the dealership to confirm it was available and was told yes and they set up an appointment for me. I drive up from Chicago, enter the show room and was told, "Sorry, that car sold last week". Didn't know this practice still went on. How shady, they knew what they were doing. read more

I purchased my car used from Bredemann in 2019. Great car, great sales team. It was a warm & fuzzy experience. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the Ford service department was not, leaving me reluctant to ever bring my car back again. When I brought my car in to Ford this month due to a malfunctioning component (the auto-start-stop quit working), there was a subsequent breakdown in communication (they told me my service rep had a family emergency), and they kept my car for two days. A subsequent face-to-face meeting with the service manager led to him cancelling all service fees, which is a good thing because shortly after getting my car back the component failed again. I haven't been back. Part of my disappointment concerns the fact that my car wasn't looked at until the day after I brought it in for service, this after I scheduled the appointment a week in advance. When I asked a service rep why it took so long to see my car, he told me that they've been extremely busy with post-COVID business. That I understand, but when I asked him why Ford gave me the appointment for a specific morning knowing how busy they were, he told me that an appointment is only for meeting with a service rep and doesn't necessarily have anything to do with when they'd look at my car. Other inquiries were met defensively with, "It's in the owner's manual," and "It's right there in the paperwork." The attitude seemed to be more CYA and go away than helping the customer feel better about a bad experience. If I came across as combative then that wasn't my intent; I was really trying to figure out what was going on. read more

I drove there in 2007 F150 looking to buy a brand new F150 for CASH and started looking for my new truck. I seen 3 SALEmen looking out of the showroom at me and NOT one of them came out to help me. My issue ended up being a recall, apparently other Edge Sport owners were having same issue. Something with the Noise cancellation system is the issue when objects are placed in cargo area. They emailed me back and I confirmed that I was still interested. Monday - they call me confirming the vehicle was still available and we make an appointment for 10am Tuesday (earliest appointment they have available) Tuesday - I walk in and I'm told the vehicle was just sold. Huh? You make an appointment to look at a used car and sell that same used car right before I get there? How is that OK? And then the salesman tries to get met to look at a lower trim model. No! It's a used car. I selected that one specifically. Not another one. If I wanted another model, I would if asked for that upfront. Avoid or be super cautious. Have been at quite a few dealerships looking at cars that I thought would be "perfect for her" but was shocked when I got in and found out the prices that are on their websites are total bait & switches -- you can't buy the car for the price they are advertising. It's true -- there are still a lot of sleazy used car salesmen out there. I then remembered I purchased car 3 years ago at Bredemann and had a wonderful experience so I thought I'd give them another opportunity. I saw the perfect car on their website and felt it was very fairly priced. Went in that day where I worked with Chester in sales. Great guy -- been in the business a long time and it shows. Zero sales pressure. Normal business transaction -- open & honest. I was given respect and courtesy. Easy transaction, I love the car. I absolutely would use Bredemann in the future. I went to take my girl friends car for a simple Oil Change and tire rotation. Here is the problem. They proceeded to take Off every Lug Nut on all 4 tires (20 in all). Then proceeded to tell me that they had difficulties taking off the Lug Nuts because they freeze and expand over winter. They want $160 To change the Lug Nuts. After the first 1 or 2 Lugs that were difficult to remove, they should Of let me know (I was in the break room, 10 feet from the manager.) but no they decided to proceed and remove all the Lug Nuts in a attempt to pry more money from our pockets. This is a on going issue every time She brings the car. This was my first time doing the service and they without doubt took advantage of the situation. The unprofessionalism and attitude is totally and completely unacceptable. I will never return for service here. They have violated my trust and can no longer maintain a business working relationship. read more

So this is my girl friends second car she has purchased from this dealer and her parents bought 2 cars from there as well. So you would think that they would be treated well in the service department. That was far from the truth. She brought her car in because the car was randomly stalling out and it was dangerous, so she brought it in. The service department said they replaced a part and it was ready to be picked up. She picks up the car and the very next day, she had her 95 year old grandma in the car, and it stalls out on a busy road. So she brings it in and they had the card for almost 5 weeks. That's not even the worst part. She would call the dealership everydayeaving messages and no one would ever call her back. She just wanted an update and more importantly her car back. I ended up calling without her knowing, and they were very nice and gave me all the answers she needed. Why couldn't anyone call her back? Then they said they were concerned about how many miles are on the loaner. Why should that matter? Fix her car and give her car back since she's paying for a car she can't even drive. Then finally they call her back and said that a few technicians and the service manager had to drive the car around and home so they could duplicate the problem. That's totally fine, but she brought the car in with a full tank of gas. It also smelled horrible when she picked it up and had some dents and scratches on there that definitely weren't there before. It's a 2018 car. She hardly goes anywhere. This has been a terrible service experience for her and some loyal customers. They should have Atleast had the decency to fill up her gas tank and give it a good car wash. The car was there for over 4 weeks. A little kindness goes a long way. I hope they do something to resolve this. She doesn't want to drive a car that smells bad with scratches on her brand new car. read more

I took my car here because they had good reviews but my out come was disappointing. I needed the airbags on my 2009 Mustang replaced due to a recall. Two hours after I dropped it off they called me and said the airbag light was on not because of the recall but because of a faulty sensor or nodule. However, they wouldn't be able to check that unless I was willing to spend a $140 labor charge. That wouldn't include whatever "repairs" they would "need" to make. I declined the $140 labor check because I felt they should've checked that issue when they were replacing my airbags. The issue was on the same part. It's not like they were looking at a warning light for my transmission! The BEST part is after I left the dealership my right turn signal wouldn't shut off unless I manually clicked it off. So, I went in for an airbag replacement and they screwed up my turn signal. I'm so frustrated with the situation that I'm willing to take my car to my regular mechanic and pay them to fix it, because they have never broken something while fixing something else. The funny thing is I avoided another Ford dealership in Chicago to do the recall because their reviews on Yelp were horrendous, and per an experience my wife and I had there once they seemed more valid. Apparently I need to go Chevy on my next purchase or just learn how to fix my own car. read more

Very frustrating experience. I would never go back there and would never recommend anybody get their car serviced at this dealership!!! I brought my car in knowing exactly what the problem was. My $10 OBD-II scanner was enough to diagnose the exact same problem it took the so-called professionals two days to diagnose. It all went downhill when I got a call from a service rep telling me I had to replace the battery. Little did he know that battery was less than a year old and it was just fine. The tow truck driver who delivered the car for repairs left the lights on while transporting the vehicle and it in fact drained the battery. Nevertheless the service rep was super persistent and told me a fairy tale about the battery being the cause of my transmission problem. I agreed to replace the battery for $209! After two days of testing the car they told me what the problem was (and it was exactly the same problem as my OBD-II scanner indicated). The quote they gave me for repairs was exactly THE DOUBLE of the other dealership that I called later. Another thing: consumer rights allow you to keep all and any replaced parts on your vehicle regardless what your reason might be. So in other words if you decide to keep an old tie rod to decorate your garage the dealership MUST keep the part until the vehicle been delivered and the owner indicated that they don't want the part. So when I asked for my perfectly functioning battery back they told me they already disposed of it and that next time I should tell them ahead of time if I want to keep any parts. BULL !!! Anyway, to sum things up. This dealer is looking for ways to profit off of people and repair/replace unnecessary parts. Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I took my car in for break work and somehow, they got break fluid in my radiator reservoir causing it to over heat a few days later. It caused damage to my thermostat. They charged me to replace the thermostat and charged me to flush out the contaminated coolant. Then they tried to blame it on me. They lied and accused me of doing it. They made up a story to the BBB and said they saw a half-full break fluid can in the back seat of my car. I would have expected them to at least apologize and fix the coolant system at no charge. Even though I bought three vehicles from them in the past, they refused to correct their mistakes at no charge. It would have been so easy to do. They obviously don't care about loyal customers. Let me start by sayibg DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. IT DOEANT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR. I went in yesterday to check out the mini cooper they have sitting in the front of their lot. After doing a ton of research (ALSO knowing about cars and the mini cooper)i knew what to look for and how the thing should handle the car has had an accident which made me weary but i still wanted to see what was up. So i went yesterday morning to test drive it. I got in the car and right of the bat i noticed three thibgs the car reeked of smoke there was no lock on the passenger side and there was a check engine light. I continued with my drive and noticed the car pulling hard to the right and that somethibg was up with the suspension. I told the sales man and he said nooo its pretty much in my head. Any was we get back to the dealer the sales manager (young obnoxcious italian guy dont remeber name) starts asking me a billion questions. 1. Youre not the sales guy two mind your own business. So i told him the engine light was on he says ohhh weird thats new youre the first one that found it. Little did he know i had a picture of their posting from 90 days prior with the same check engine light on. So i asked him to check it (it takes two mins) he said no they didnt have time. I asked him two times in a row ro check it he said no..trued to get me to sit down and i straight up told him you cant check the light im not going to sit abd talk numbers with you... anyways i was still intrested enough to want to go back and find out why they didbt call to tell me what th code was i left i came back about 6 hours later with my boyfriend and the same man says ohh your back to buy the mini i rolled my eyes and said um no! I wanted to know about the check engine light. HIS EXACT WORDS WERE THE MINI HAD A CHECK ENGKBE LIGHT CAUSE OF THE COLD WEATHER (NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT KIND OF AN IDIOT THE SALES MANAGER THINKS I AM BUT THE COLD DOEST GIVE YOU A CODE EVERY ONE KNOWS THAT) so my boyfriend nudged me to be quiet. . . We go to the car and they clearly cleared the coding with out fixibg the problem. I SHOWED HIM THE PICTURE AND TOLD HIM CAN WE SEE THE PAPERS FROM WHEN THEY CHECKED CODE EARLIER AND HE SAID HE DIDNT HAVE THEM AVAILIABLE-PROBABLY CAUSE YOU CLEARED THE CODE DUH!) Moving forward... when we went back inside with the sales manager my boyfriend says whats the warrenty the sales manager grabs his book looks it up in front of us and says "yeah the warrenty is 5years 80k miles, so you have one year left" again i dont know what kind of IDIOTs he thought we were but i couldnt bite my tounge any more i said REALLY CAUSE MINI COOPER WARRENTYS ARE ONLY 4 YEARS AND THE CAR WAS TITLED IN NOV 2014 WHICH YOU CAN SEE ON CAR FAX SO THE WARRENTY IS VOIDED. MY BOYFRIEND THEN SAID TO HIM YO MAN DIDNT YOU JUST READ IT FROM THE BOOK HOW DO YOU MESS THAT UP AND THE GUY SAYS "YEAH I JUST READ AND SAID THE NUMBERS WRONG" (what are you 5?) The man responded with "wow it looks like you guys did your research" If youre still reading this the best part is we asked to see what the intake check on the car was when the past driver traded it in 3 months ago .. and there it was right on the paper last line... I had a very pleasant car buying experience here. I dealt with Dan Sakolsy, who couldn't have been more professional and helpful. No hard sell, or game playing. He dealt with me in a straight forward manner and I am very pleased with my purchase. Even the financial aspect of the deal, which is usually a high pressure and nauseating experience was entirely smooth and straightforward. JIM SALVINSKI is the assistant service manager, at Bredeman Ford on Waukesha Rd, in Glenview. I took his name right off his business card so I could remember exactly why I will NEVER go there for service on my Mustang. I went in for a duplicate key that can open the car door ( not a key with a chip but just a key that can open the door if I lock my keys inside which happened ). He took my information and sent me to the customer waiting room. I read 6 magazines cover to cover before I thought that this was way too long to make a simple duplicate key. ( I'm talking about sitting in a waiting room for almost an hour and that is NOT an exaggeration I went yo the front desk and said," I thought this was going up take maybe five or ten minutes but not this long." JIM SALVINSKI 'eyes got wide and sort of "buggy" and he raised his voice to tell me something I didn't understand so he said it more intensely," your key is done. We had a problem with the keg." And picked them up and waved the two keys in my face. It was obvious that he was angry and was treating me like I was the one who had caused all this problem. And then walked away and stood by the hallway and said."are you going to come here and pay?" How did this guy ever become an assistant service manager???? If I could give a negative review I would. This place is the Worst Ford dealership in the area! I have brought my last 6 Fords I have owned to Bredemann for Service. I have not purchased a car from them since my father-in-law runs a car dealership in Milwaukee, WI. I was always fairly happy with the service I have done for the most part. They always provided me with a loaner, which I thought, was out of respect that a family member runs a Ford Dealership in Wisconsin. About 2.5 Years ago, I started having issues with the service provided on my vehicles. The first was a battery issue where they said they inspected my Ford Edge, but they allowed the battery to corrode the compartment, and than tried blaming it on me and wanted to charge me almost $2300 to fix it. I bring in my car ON TIME/ON MILEAGE for its service. It took me 3 hours of fighting with Joe Bredemann to get them to admit they didn't do good enough inspections, and than they proceeded to fix my car. Just this past week, I called to schedule a Works service and to check out my front right brake, which they replaced in January of Last year. They said, they will NOT PROVIDE A LOANER TO ME ANY MORE SINCE I DID NOT PURCHASE MY VEHICLE THERE. I didn't have time to wait for 1.5 hours for them to check my car, so I got into an argument with Jim in there service department. Jim than Transferred me to Steve the sales manager, and his excuse was that "this is Joe Bredemann's decision, and we have more important customers that purchased their automobiles from us, so why should they give me a loaner?". I mentioned that I have had service done here for almost 10-years now, to no avail. After arguing and being so mad, I called the Service Manager at Highland Park Ford and he had me bring my car in immediately after explaining the Brake Issue and the customer service issue at Bredemann. They provided me with a loaner at NO COST, WITHOUT ARGUEMENT! It ends up, that Bredemann really screwed up my brake work done in January of '15. They said it was covered under the warranty and fixed it. Also, I was getting close to needing new tires, so I decided to buy the complete set from them since they were so accommodating. They also did the Works oil change service and everything else. In summation, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM ANY OF THE BREDEMANN DEALERSHIPS ESPECIALLY THE FORD ONE!!! THEY ARE RUDE, UNFEELING, BRUTAL PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. I WILL NEVER EVER GIVE THEM A REFERRAL AND EVEN THOUGH HP FORD IS OUT OF MY WAY GOING TO MY OFFICE, I WOULD RATHER BRING MY CAR TO A GAS STATION FOR SERVICE OVER THEM.
