He asked them if they were open on Sundays and the guy, instead of just saying, "No," angrily said "You won't find a dealer in Illinois that is open on Sundays." Bought my Mazda 6 back in 2009 with a warranty included. I went back 6 months later because it had broke down. Brought it to the dealership and they told me my warranty was not valid even though I had the paper work. I signed my contract then had a cosigned come in a sign it the next week. Apparently they changed my contract in that week and no longer included the warrenty! My mistake for not rereading it the next week but still suppr scummy people there! read more

I had to give one star, but the actual rating is a ZERO. This dealership couldn't care less about customers, only a fast talking sale and get you off the lot. My wife and I purchased a 2012 CX-9 at the end of 2011 from salesperson Lawrence Mendez. LM was a fast talker and tried to sell us anything on the lot no matter what we told him we were looking for. When you give them a price point or payment range they talk down to you as if adding another $200.00 to a payment is nothing. Our issues started when the car we asked for wasn't available on the lot. They had another dealership transfer a vehicle to their location. We were called at night and inspected the car under lights and all looked good. I should have looked in the rear view mirror on the way out, because I am sure they were laughing and giving each other high fives. Days later when we had a clear day we could see that the buffer they had used on the car had left swirl marks around the entire car. We immediately brought the car back and they said they would fix the issue. Researching this issue showed that it would be a very difficult job. We dropped the car off and my wife was given a Mazda 3 as a loaner. I am not a snob, but if I just handed you a brand new CX-9 I would expect you to give me a comparable car as a loaner. We got the car back and again, after a month, the swirls were back (we had not washed the car ourselves since the purchase in fear we would be blamed.) Again, we had to set up an appointment, at their convenience to get the car to a body shop and have them wet sand the car. A brand new car ! We contacted Mazda corporate and were told it was between us and the dealer. They then gave us an old Ford Explorer that smelled like wet dogs and looked like they had just taken the plates of it from a trade in from Sanford and Son. Needless to say the car finish was still scratched. At this point they started to forget who we were and blame us for the scratches. Finally, after calls stopped being returned, I had to make a personal visit with the car and talk to Customer service manager Tim. He, like the rest, didn't want to deal with the problem or look at the car. I literally had to force him to go out in the lot and show him the issue with the finish. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he really didn't care and would rather be inside with the other salesmen. They took the car back over Memorial Day weekend (at their convenience) and Gerber collision finally fixed the issue. They claimed they would honor the finish for life, but I seriously doubt they will. Fast forward 2013: We now live away from Chicago and were led to believe we had purchased the Mazda Advantage Plan. All the maintenance, thus far, has been done at the dealership, so we didn't find out until we tried to get maintenance at another dealership in another state. I have a call out to Napletons to verify what they charged us for, but I won't hold my breath on a call back. My advice - Keep driving for another dealership. They don't care about their customers or the brand they sell. Again, if I could give ZERO stars I would. read more

After having a particularly horrendous experience at Wilkins Mazda in Elmhurst, I decided to give Schaumburg Mazda a try. I walked inside and was immediately greeted by Art. He was awesome, honest, and not once did I feel pressured to go home with a car THAT DAY. As a female car-shopping, it was nice to have a salesperson not take try to take advantage of the fact that I had no idea what i was doing. Instead of acting annoyed to take me on a test drive, he responded with "ok let's go have some fun!" A few days later, I had an appointment with Art to take a look at a specific CX-5 in their inventory, and after a few hours of negotiation, I drove off the lot with a beautiful new car! Everyone in there seemed more than willing to help, especially given I didn't make it into the finance office until an hour and a half past closing. In short, the availability of the car was bait and switch, the initial offer-price was extremely misleading, he dangled my purchase rate and financing unless I purchased their extended warranty , and he is still dangling the agreed upon accessories until I submit a customer-service-index survey. We knew exactly what trim, color, and options we wanted. Unfortunately, our local dealer didn't have it on their lot and had to swap from 500 miles away. Napelton's informed me that they not only could beat my local dealer's price, but that they had the exact car we wanted on the lot. We drove the extra 30 miles to Napelton's to find out that they didn't have the car, and that their offer price assumed all rebates and incentives that I did not qualify for. They would also have to swap for the same car that my local dealer. Napelton's price was still lower than my local dealer, so we asked them to move forward with the swap. The very next business day, we find out that the car is no longer available. The only thing they can find is another car but with remote start. I couldn't justify paying the extra cost they were going to charge me, so I asked for additional accessories (all-weather floor-mats and a cargo map) to help offset the additional cost. They agreed to overnight them to me but only after I complete the post-purchase customer-satisfaction-index survey. I agree and come into the dealership for delivery. Was brought back into the financing room to meet with Rocco. He informs me that since the car is no longer what we agreed upon and now has remote start, they have to add to our originally agreed-upon price. I comply. However, I was then told that because it is a whole different car than originally agreed-upon, I have to purchase their extended-warranty in order to qualify for the agreed-upon financing rate and purchase-price. If I don't take the extended warranty, he will raise the purchase price and the financing rate. read more

We traveled 40 minutes to come to this dealership because we found a used 2014 Mazda6 with low miles on it. Kate was our saleslady and she was great. She explained to us the features of the car and that with how huge the rebates are on the 2015 Mazda6 that it is really worth getting it. We were in the process of buying the new Mazda6, when everything went straight downhill in finance with Rocco. Beware: Rocco is a crook, a liar, as well as bad tempered. He's saying that in order to have a 3.9% you have to buy a warranty and if I don't want the warranty then I will be at 6.9% LIES!! He was trying to make money on us not only on the APR but also on the warranty. I asked to see mine and my dad's credit reports and scores and he proceeded to pull lies out of his butt saying "under this and this act I cannot show you it or I will loose my job". Another LIE! I knew he was trying to rip us off. He was constantly rushing us to sign all the paper work in his office as soon as possible. He got aggravated when I asked him to explain stuff. He either explained it on the quicks did not want to repeat himself or said that it is common sense. Last time I checked you're supposed to be nice to the customers. I wanted Kate to come into the office. He had a huge problem with that and when he finally went to get her, he was yelling at her. I walked out of the office a few times on the phone and he went on to yelling that there's two customers after me and to hang up so we can finish this. Very unacceptable! I walked back in and told him everything he is saying is complete lie because I contacted one of my friends who is also in sales and finance. The look on his face was complete shock and he immediately began shaking. Also, he was bribing us "If you give us a good survey, then we will buy you weather tech mats for your car". He needs to learn some ethics. He was extremely unprofessional and very rude. He treated us badly. WORST experience ever! I would never think about coming back here and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone unless you want Rocco to rip you off. If it was possible, I would give this place zero stars. read more

I am not complaining about the work they do. Most dealerships have fine technicians, and although more expensive than most places we were always willing to spend a few extra dollars. My wife bought her car there before we were married, and we always got our service done there the past 6 years. However, this one sticks in my crawl. We just had almost 1,900.oo with of work done there. I had coupons for some of the services done. I admit it would not have been a lot of money, however, I forgot the coupons when I went to pay. The next day, I went back with the coupons and was told sorry, can't do anything about it after the order is written. Excuse me, there is ALWAYS something that can be done. After all this time and business we gave them, we get an answer like that. Guess what? WE will never, ever go back, and certainly never buy another cat there. read more

I am not one that likes to haggle, but to pay $500 below sticker for a used car was a slap in the face. My husband really wanted the 2014 Mazda6. It was not the salesperson as much as management that frustrated me. They added the cost of the certification of $995 onto the sticker price and then tried to offer us $500 for our trade in that I had appraised at CarMax for $3,000. I'm sorry but this is not only shady, but you look like criminals. Rocco, the finance manager, was the worst finance person I have ever dealt with. He is impatient when you ask questions, is downright rude, and to top it off he did not find us the best financing as I questioned when he rushed us..this ended up costing us an additional $150 in refinance fees that I think he should repay us! The got a rate of 2.54% and he found 4.59%, which was a total of $1,130 less in interest. Rocco you need to find a new job!!! read more

Terrible. Don't go here. My 2015 Mazda CX5 was recalled. Corporate Mazda said it was mandatory that Dealers give loaner or rental cars for people until the problem can be fixed. The lady said they can't give me one because I'm 24. I asked her to find out what Corporate was doing for people under 25 and get back to me. Never got a call back. I guess they just want me to drive my car around and risk getting in an accident that could possible set my car on fire. Completely ridiculous and awful customer service. read more

I will never go to the Schaumburg Mazda service department again. Was told by them that I had a brake caliper leaking that needed repair. As I had just recently gotten this caliper replaced, I held off and got 2nd and 3rd opinions to find caliper was in good shape and there was no leak. Multiple times they've tried to push unnecessary repairs. Very unethical they way they are run. read more

This past weekend, I went to Napleton Schaumburg Mazda for a new car. I was a little anxious and nervous about my first experience doing this on my own. Marty made me feel completely at ease and was very focused on finding out exactly what I am looking for in a car. He made sure to stay within my budget and gave me some different options. He was extremely knowledgeable in all the car models and thoroughly answered any question I had. After signing all the paperwork and finishing up with the financing office, Marty could have let me go and left me to fend for myself in figuring out all the minute details of the car. Instead, he made sure to help me set up my phone with the bluetooth in the car and went through all the details of the screen (setting my favorites, music settings, sound settings, and customizing some of the features of the car) to make sure I left knowing how everything works! (The last place I went to, I ended up finding out about features way later on or not understanding how some worked!) I know that my car is set up exactly how I would like it now!! He really cared about getting me exactly what I wanted and didn't just rush me out of the door after he had everything he needed! He continued to take care of me and encouraged me to call him directly if I think of any question or need anything else! My entire time working with Marty was entirely stress free, fun, informative, and so extremely helpful! I will be seeing Marty the second I need another car! I had a bought a car a few weeks ago and the window does not go up or down. The service manager ken claimed after pulling my window up it was fine there was nothing wrong. Not even an hour later my window was stuck down once again so I had to bring it back the same day. The manager looked at me as if I was stupid for rolling down my window but yet had told me everything was fine so I had to check for myself. Also had told me it wouldn't be covered under warranty and when you buy a used car you buy it as is. But I pay extra for the warranty to cover the car for 2 years. And when he called the warranty company sure enough it was covered like I had told him but of course he disagreed also I have to pay the deductible when I haven't even made the first car payment. Maybe if my inspection was done correctly we wouldn't be in this position because the window was slow to begin with, and not even a week of having the car my oil light came on because they had forgot to reset everything. Plus after standing there for 10 minutes waiting for him to set up an appointment the manager proceeds to tell me "you can leave now" I said "what" he goes "yeah you can leave" he didn't even want to set up an appointment to fix it. I have never felt so disrespected or talked down apon my dad works in the dealership industry and he does not treat his customers this way. Maybe I should've listened and paid a little extra for him to get me in a car. Because clearly Mazda doesn't care about their customers they just want to make sure they get there money. And once you drive off the lot it's your problem now. read more

I would never recommend this dealership! Sure, I had a very personable salesman, but.......make sure you do ALL of your homework before you sit down with a salesperson AND the finance person. I recently purchased a Mazda CX-9, and I really got thrown for a loop. I realized too late how the salesperson and finance agents BAMBOOZLED me into "offers". To begin with, I stated that I didn't want GAP insurance, but I "somehow" purchased it for over $800. I called my insurance agent and was told that it should only cost me around $300 if I wanted it. When I called the next day, my finance agent wasn't in, and my salesperson took no responsibility for telling the finance agent I wanted it. Anyway, another finance agent sat down with me and informed me that I was overcharged for it. One would think I'd get a call from Napleton explaining and/or apologizing for this mess. Secondly, the salesperson and his manager talked in circles. Shame on me for not being ready for this, but a BIGGER shame on them for using any measure they could to take advantage of a consumer. I couldn't even get a retractable cover thrown in. I guess referrals don't mean much to them. They certainly fit the stereotype of "car dealers". I learned a lesson....the hard way. Hopefully, the service for my car will be better than the initial service I received. read more

He was also rude to my seasoned Mother; which really made me angry. Went to look at a used Mazda advertised for $13,800- as soon as we got there Mike informed us that the car was actually $1500 MORE than the advertised price- as a matter of fact EVERY used car on the lot was $1500 more than the advertised price because "they certify every car and it costs $1500". How deceptive is that? Then he doesnt want to show us just the cars ny son can afford he wants to "walk the lot" so he can find a car he loves. What a waste of time- what a feeble attempt to sell a car that you cant afford. So we changed to looking at a basic new car- which again was not the advertised price because that price includes every rebate even if you cant combine them, and includes a military discount. This dealership clearly has such false advertising it makes me sick.. RUN dont walk away from these con artists. read more

A few weeks ago, my car was on its last wheels. Was in the market for a new vehicle and this is where Napleton's Schaumburg Mazda Sales Team was able to help both my father and I. Quite frankly, I didn't even know what I was looking for besides something $18,000 OTD. I walked in was greeted multiple times until my father and I finally gave in and spoke with Darrell. Unique big fella who really impressed my dad with his vehicle knowledge. I first started viewing the new Mazda6 but realize pricing wise was not a good idea financially. So, Darrell and Skylar suggested the 2013 Toyota Camry that was decently priced and since we have dealt with Darrell, he was able to get us at the $209 a month just where we needed to be. I highly recommend this dealer to anyone is is open to speaking with some laid back sales representative and Darrell and Skylar were experience I needed to share. Thanks guys again. read more

UNETHICAL, LYING, DEVIOUS PROFITEERS. Referred to Napleton by Consumer Reports car buying service, when we found the Mazda3 we wanted online. Visited w my wife for test drive. They pushed us on financing and not taking the car to our mechanic for an inspection. Said it was certified, 100+ point inspection, guaranteed perfect. Our mechanic said it needed new filters, wiper blades, and trans fluid. All not covered under bumper to bumper warrantee. However, Salesman Darrel Phee seemed like a nice kid, and he got us the price and terms we wanted. Closed the deal, ordered the check from my bank, were on our way to the dealership to sign the papers and drive away with the vehicle. I get a voicemail a few miles from the dealership that his manager had just sold the car. Darrel had shook my hand 24 hours earlier, said we had a deal, never asked for a deposit to hold the car, and BAM! no warning, it was gone. My wife insisted on stopping in for an explanation, and we didn't even get an apology. They reinforce all the worst stereotypes of car salesmen. read more

i purchased a new car about 3 weeks ago, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.!!!! people do not buy a car here, the finance manager Rocco was the most rude person i have ever delt with. he was swearing like crazy infront of my 6 year old son, he was refering to the paperwork we had to sign as garbage. He was practically making fun of my girlfreinds lower credit score, he rushed through everything to try and get another couple in the door. He kept telling me he was not some kind of schmuck..like as if i thought he was, he must of said that line more than 7 times... what he really was is a BIG JERK. Then the dealer calls me to ask how everything went, i told them about it and they told me i was going to get a survery and to give them a 100% good rating and they would throw in some free floor mats for the unpleasant experience...just filled out the survey and i rated them how they really treated me...they can keep their floor mats!! i really regret not walking out of there that day! read more

I went to Mazda Napleton Schaumburg for oil change, rotation and to check the navigation system on my cx7 because it won't work. I called for an appointed a week before, and told them exactly what my car needs. I got there 15 mins before my appointment at 2pm. When I got there, the service manager, Ryan Pearl said that they don't accept service after 2pm. I told him have an appointment. I said," I made the appointment a week ago; somebody should have called me to reschedule it. He said he can't do it. I asked him if he wants me to come back, after driving 10 miles just to get there. He then he agreed to do something but he said he can't do all, and I have to come back. So I agreed. He looked at the navigator (the monitor said consult dealer, and it won't do anything else). He asked if I have a Sirius satellite radio, and said it could be the Sirius that interferes with the computer system of the navi. I said the Sirius radio comes standard on my cx7 but I don't have subscription to it. Then he looked at it again... then saw the blinking light under the steering wheel, which was the anti-theft tracking system.. And so he said "it's the anti-theft tracking system, they spliced into the computer system of the navi and it affected the computer and since it's not a Mazda part, it voided the warranty on the navi system, you have to pay $267 for the repair"... (He suggested I call the dealer in California to pay for it, but they don't want to)...he then said, if you want I could try to reset the memory card for $75.. But he's not sure it will get fixed.. Since Ryan Pearl's answers to my cars problem were all just MAYBE's.. I said I'll think about it.. So I guess they did the oil change... but I'm not sure they did rotation because they were done in 1.5 hour .. But I paid for both.. To make the story short, I went to Wilkins Mazda in Elmhurst for second opinion. No questions asked. They checked it and said that there was a recall on the cx7 navigation system. There was a recall and Ryan Pearl the Mazda service manager do not know about it? So Wilkins mazda ordered the parts and they got my car fixed. I didn't pay a cent.. So guess what, I'm not coming back to Napleton Mazda Schaumburg ever. Scammers... read more

Ok lets start with the good, the sales rep Skylar and sales manager Jonathon were great, spent a lot of time looking over cars with us, waited at Firestone while I had the car I liked checked out. Very friendly and helpful. The problems started when we went to checkout. First let me state, we walked in with financing secured through our bank,ok so we go meet Rocco the finance guy, he starts out by saying that there is no way to reach my bank to verify the check they had given me, and immediately said he could get us better financing. I called BS and I called my bank USAA, the cust service rep told me everything was fine and asked to speak to Rocco, he refused saying he had to call her himself as she could be anybody, ( all the time muttering that she wasn't helping my cause). So I gave him her number. I asked him to put it on speaker phone as I would have to enter a pin number, he refused saying he would handle it for us to wait outside. 5 minutes later he storms out of his office, throws the paperwork in front of me and tells me it's a fraudulent loan, well I lost it, my language was not to polite. My wife and I stormed out. While outside I called my bank to see if there was some error in the paperwork. they checked their records as they log all calls, she told me the only inquiry into my acct had been my call earlier. I went back in to talk to the main manager, now I was really mad, I also had my bank on the line. My banker gave me a direct line and I had the manager call them bank, it's a miracle he had the approval in 2 minutes. To be honest the only reason we bought the car was 1. I liked it, 2.it was a good deal, 3. and I really felt for Skylar the sales rep,I hated to see all his work and effort go to waste over some other jokers shady business practices. I would never recommend anyone to this dealer unless they get rid of rocco. read more

I know car dealerships have a very low customer satisfaction rating in general but the people at Napelton Schaumburg Mazda rank at absolute bottom of that infamous group in my view. I found them to be utterly dishonest & unethical. They sold me a new car with over 600 miles (because it was a transfer from some dealership in rural Ohio by road) which was advertized as 2 miles online by first making me sign a check and then revealing the higher mileage at the time of vehicle delivery. Thereafter they tried to appease me by offering free service plan/accessory if I turn in a perfectly rated survey that gets sent out randomly to certain new car buyers by Mazda. When I received no survey in mail they naturally went back on their promise. Along the way there was also a veiled threat of not taking good care for any warranty related extras like interstate towing whose cost is covered by some discretionary dealer quota from Mazda. Attempts to escalate the rude & dishonest behavior of their egregious sales manager to the dealership president bore no results. The whole organization appears to be complicit in such schemes. So go there at your own risk. This was easily my worst sales experience of any kind. read more

I went in today hoping to buy a used car and I did! I was very pleased with the service. I had great help from Kate who showed me all the cars in my price range. She was incredibly sweet and kind! Marcin also came by and was very very helpful. I was certain that I was going to go home without a car because I couldn't afford the price after the tax and all other fees were added. Marcin was very patient and kind and worked out possible ways for me to afford the car I wanted. Despite all of it I still could not come up with the money and was going to go home. Marcin then offered us a generous generous deal and that was that- sold! What I appreciated was that even after all of that, Marcin and Kate still treated me well. At the other dealerships I've been to (Castle Honda and Schaumburg Toyota), as soon as we begin negotiating on price, they become unwilling to help and accommodate. The other dealerships customer service was unpleasant. However Marcin and Kate's customer service was just awesome. Thanks guys! read more

Stay as far away as you can!! I inquired about a vehicle on their website and asked for more information since I am in the market and about an hour drive away. I let them know which vehicle I was interested in and that I would like some specifics before I made the trip. I had been approved elsewhere and also had reasonable offers on my trade in elsewhere, so I knew where I stood in those two aspects. Unfortunately, I was unlucky enough to be communicating with Lawrence Mendez. He took our applications and said we were approved for that car, but refused to give me rate or term information until I drove out there. I made it clear I haven't even seen or driven this vehicle and wasn't just accepting their asking price...I fully intended to negotiate. He asked me what I owed on my vehicle, and sight unseen, would only give me a certain, very low, amount for it as if I had no acess to kbb, black book, and carfax...I knew what the trade in value was already!! And it was thousands more. When I replied that I was glad that I asked before I drove out there, because that was very low, he blew up. He said this is why he doesn't like dealing with online customers, I wasted three days of his time and there was no effort on my part, and no one else will ever approve us (we had already been approved by a CU and a bank before we went there, so that was odd). I told him that actually, were still were planning on going out there, awesome customer service. He replied with 'whew You scared me. What time?' uh...I was being sarcastic. I didnt say I was no longer interested, but he took it apon himself to 'put me in my place' regardless as if I am a piece of crap but then changes his tune a minute later? I had been looking for a certain 2014 make/model/style car for a while and realized that it was on the verge of being sold out, so I was about to give up on it after visiting several dealers and evaluating the last few cars left within a 5-state radius. My friend and I made one last ditch effort to visit Napleton's Schaumburg Mazda on a miserable rainy night with very little hope and were greeted by Darrell Phee who went to work right away. He found the nearest car was at least 5 hours away but offered to get the car and drive it back. When he sensed our hesitancy, he told us about a used 2015 that just came in with more options and an upgrade in the model within my price range. At no point during this time did I feel pressured to make a decision or under a hard sell, which would have easily scared me off from visiting a dealership for another 10 years, but instead, he was very laid back and low key about it. He kept in touch with me during the next few days, was immediately responsive by phone or text within a few minutes, and made sure the car was available for me to see at my convenience that weekend. To make a long story short, Darrell was very accommodating and pleasant, low to no pressure, but to the point, and I bought this beautiful car within an hour or so with no hassle or qualms about it. My friend and I were impressed and ecstatic with the wonderful service, great deal, and ease of purchasing this car. The sales manager was very friendly and nice, and the finance guy was a hoot:) What a very pleasant and happy experience! My daughter and I spent the last two weeks searching for her first car. The purchase price increased as we found it easier to get a loan thru DuPage Credit Union which had 1.9% financing for members thru March on $10K valued cars, much better than any dealer could offer a 21yr old (with excellent credit) on a used car. By the time we arrived at Napleton, we had run the gammit and met our share of fast talkers and neglected cars. We called in advance to make sure the car was still available. It was and the salesperson we spoke to met us at the door when we arrived. We explained that we were not going to buy the car right then because I had a meeting in 45 minutes (true story). He was cool and not pushy. When the car we arrived to drive didn't fit the total picture, Alan asked my daughter to explain exactly what she was looking for, 5 minutes later he walked outside and showed my daughter "the car." He had listened and pegged it...including the price she wanted (which happened to be $1000 less than the car we came to see. The sales manager, George, couldn't have been more helpful coordinating the loan with the credit union and the Finance manager, Tom and fleet manager, Tim, went out of there way to coordinate delivery with the outside financing. I have to say after reading the reviews in advance...these guys were not what I expected. They were open and upfront, and I negotiate for a living. The condition of the car and deal we got from Napleton exceeded my daughters expectations. I would definitely go back to this dealership and will recommend them to my clients. Went in to try and test drive the MX5 Miata Club and the salesman Skylar came to talk to me as I was looking at it. Skylar went inside, I thought to get the keys, instead talked to his manager who told him to inform me that they had a previous 'incident' on a test drive and that I wouldn't be allowed to drive it. I said "That's fine, how about you drive it just so that I can somewhat get a feel for the car at least?" Manager tells him no and Skylar somewhat changes his story and tells me that only 'serious' buyers can drive it but that I could test drive a Mazda 3...really?? Frustrated at this point I decide to at least get a price on the car so it's not a complete waste of my time. Skylar, who is on the internet team, quotes me full MSRP. I mention to him that the website says the contrary at which point he gives me some salesman back talk. The MX5 is a great car but any Mazda dealership knows that it's the lowest selling model of their entire lineup and should be ecstatic when someone shows interest in it. Good luck Napleton in trying to move your inventory with that attitude after the summer prime time for convertibles. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the service after the sale was made. Here's the 3 strikes after buying a brand new Mazda6: 1. Salesman told me to bring the car back after a month for a service tech to look at it and check things over. When I brought it back I told the tech it kind of pulls to the right, he said it's a new car and it will work itself out. Well, he was wrong, it never did. 2. My warranty was for 3 years and not sure of the mileage limit, but only 25,000 miles and exactly 3 years and 1 month after I bought it there was a problem with my exhaust/muffler. I called 3 times and kept getting transferred to voicemails, and never received a call back. Emailed someone on the website and also did not hear back. Finally 3 weeks later I called and asked them to page someone because they are not returning calls. When I finally got someone that could help me they said I was one month too late and would not cover it. 3. When I originally bought the car the salesman told me if I pay more than the monthly bill it would go towards my principle and I could save money be paying it off early. Not the case at all, I have to pay all the interest no matter when I pay it off(maybe might fault for not reading the fine print and trusting a Mazda salesman). Never buying from Mazda again, certainly not Napleton Mazda. read more

Found a Mazda 6 through posting in auto traders. Spoke with Marty who of course was very helpful and attentive over the phone. Told him we would drive down to Chicago that Friday and if car checked out fine we would purchase. He seemed to really like that, until I told him to figure out the total cost and call me back with a number because I would be coming with check in hand. We were handling financing ourselves through our credit union. Did not even try to talk this guy down. He said he would get back to me. Well, instead of calling me this bozo called my wife and proceeded to tell her "how the car sales industry works" Told her that because we would be bringing in a certified check in exact amount this would ensure he couldn't sell us all the extra crap we wouldn't purchase anyway, so he would need to cover his "cushion". Cushion was explained as, deliberately underpricing online to hook people in then selling on the extras which is where their profit lies. He hoped my wife appreciated his honesty and would need to increase the price by nearly $2000. Aside from this being illegal...very sleezy way to do business. Would definately look elsewhere. read more

This is my second time in Napleton Schaumburg Mazda. I have bought a new car from them on January 2013,Mazda 6 And I'm so happy and delighted about the whole experience. My sales representative Daniel Zalewski was a great and friendly man with a big knowledge of the product and how to structure my deal. I was in a particular budget and I had a trade which was only a year old. He not only sold me a better car but also factor my trade in to it so wasn't upside down to much. He is truly a very knowledgeable salesperson! My whole family has been buying cars from this dealer and we always comeback to see Daniel Zalewski. My car is so wonderful and I'm enjoying driving it. It's much bigger than my previous car ,good on gas and I have a good service anytime I need a help with my vehicle. Schaumburg Mazda is a friendly people dealership and I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to do a great deal! I bought my first car here. It was a used car. I am not a car expert, but I had checked the car out online & in-person and everything seemed fine. Two days after I got the car, it randomly started producing smoke and overheated very quickly, until it finally stopped working in the middle of the highway (during a storm & with my pet in the car with me, no less). Turns out, the battery was completely dead AND It needed a new engine - estimated to cost me $3,000-6,000. I contacted this dealership and spoke with the owner about "lemon laws". Yes, I understand I bought the car as is, but is it really just and fair and decent to me, as a customer, that I had only had it for 2 days & for no one at this dealership to inform me that the whole engine needed to be replaced? The owner was very rude even as I calmly explained the situation and asked if the dealership would please help with the repairs. He did not even try to help me. He would neglect to return my calls. When I did talk to him, he treated me as if I were an insolent child. Kept stating that I needed to have it towed there from the repair shop a half an hour away. I tried to do this but the repair shop would not let the car go because I owned money for the work they had already done on the car BEFORE I had even first spoken to them - money that I was asking the dealership to pay. It was only at that repair shop because my car had broken down at night when everything is closed & the tow truck brought it to the closest place. If I could have moved it myself, I would have brought it to the dealership just so they could have looked at it themselves as they were requesting. But, again, since the dealership would not help pay the bill at the repair shop it could not be moved. I would think anyone who had just bought a car that was now suddenly in need of expensive repairs would request for the dealership they bought it at to help cover at least some of the costs. This dealership would not pay a penny towards the repairs. I eventually got the car back. Then, a few weeks after the engine incident, the clutch suddenly stops working and it is determined by the repair shop that it needs to be replaced, along with a few other minor repairs overlooked by the last shop. So far, I have spent hundreds on towing fees and thousands on repairs that, in total, equal more than the whole car is worth! I've gotten advice to just let it get reprocessed at this point. I've wasted a lot of time stuck waiting for tow trucks and effort on the phone back and forth with this dealership. It would have been professional and respectful had this dealership informed me that so many important parts of the car needed to be fixed or replaced. It doesn't necessarily mean they would have a lost the sale - instead they might have gained a loyal customer. I do not believe that the lack of crucial information they provided me with to sell me a "lemon", along with the fact that they were not sympathetic enough to pay even a small portion of all these car bills that they should pay in-full, means that this so-called "business" is very ethical. Please do not go to this dealership, especially not for a used car. They will cheat you. I am looking into filing a claim against them in small claims court. Thanks for reading. read more
