The rice was great and texture of the mock duck was perfect. The lemongrass soup was spiced properly at level 10. The only headscratcher was the mozzarella fried wontons. It was a weird as it sounds but after a full day of festivities, we figured we would give it a shot. The standout of the menu was the beef jerkey. Holy shit. Absolutely spectacular!!! My go-to Thai spot in downtown Long Beach! Having lived here for a couple of years, I truly appreciate Natee Thai. They offer free delivery in the area and their food always satisfies me. Their prices are higher than I usually spend on Thai food, but if you live in the area, and utilize delivery or takeout, this is the spot to order from! I am a die hard fan for the thai place back at home, but this place beat it out of the park. the pad thai is exceptional, it's so delicious and flavorful, beware though if you ask for spice it will be very hot. the waiter told us this is because they use fresh peppers grown in cali. She understood when i asked her to switch my meal to one with no spice and overall was so kind. We ended up going the first night and then the next day again. Came back again on a Saturday after the dog beach trash clean up and this is the best place to come to after. The servers are always so sweet and once again without having asked they provided water bowls for the dogs. We had a big party of 9 and throughout our stay Emeli (Emily) and one other server helped us and were courteous the whole experience. Every time we come here no matter the waiter the service is always great. As always the food was amazing from appetizers to entrees. We got the golden tofu, the crying tiger, chicken satae, Fresh Siamese roll, and calamari for appetizers and they were gobbled down within minutes. The Thai tea and iced Thai coffee tasted so refreshing. For entrees there were a mix of curry dishes, fried rice, pad see ew, spicy eggplant, etc and they were all flavorful. I really enjoyed the idea of having another Thai restaurant near my apartment in Downtown Long Beach. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my expectations. I found the flavor of the food to be underwhelming, a bit bland for Thai food which I'm used to the opposite reaction as the dishes I order are full of flavor and spice. I order larb from every Thai restaurant as it's what I grew up eating. It's sort of my "signature dish" for rating a restaurant for quality and taste. The dish was prepared in a fashion where I had to add my own chili, rice powder, citrus and fish sauce before I served the dish at home. That was a bit of a disappointment for me. The restaurant setting was very nice, though. I would like to go back and give the business another try. I'm always open to trying something twice. read more

Big fan of Thai, so I was excited to try Naree Thai. They did not disappoint! We started with the Green Mango Salad which was so fresh and yummy! Next we had the Gua Kai which is my new favorite Thai dish. It was light, but filling and had the perfect ratio of veggies to noodles. Lastly, the Broccoli Dish had the best sauce I've maybe ever had. I added that sauce by the spoonful to my rice making for the perfect overall meal. Running errands needing lunch was number one priority. After leaving the FedEx I received a recommendation to a Thai food restaurant next door. First impression as I entered this restaurant was peaceful and calm. Nice open area, clean and airy. Loved the atmosphere. Noticed the beautiful bar, you can walk right up to order or pickup your to go orders. Outdoor seating with tables and chairs arranged outside with a couple of umbrellas on two of the out doors tables. We'll staffed about 4 waiters I was arrived right before 12 noon. There was a gentleman was eating and he had his laptop out while eating. The waitress was clear to say they had no outlets for my laptop. I ordered three items Pad See Ew, Thai Ice Tea, and Vegetable tempura. My favorite of the three was the Thai Ice Tea, nice strong blend. Although the veggie tempura was piping hot the breaded portion had more of a gummy consistency. It's a preference for me I love crunchy tempura. That's just me. In viewing and tasting the Pad See Ew the noodles looked overworked and un identifiable. They seemed to be tossed one two many times , it was as if each individual noodle split. The laziest, sorry one-note Thai food ever! All the salads, including their Naree Special Mango sauce for fried trout is the same fish sauce/lime juice mixture : horrid, salty and tart. Our four dishes: crispy duck salad, soft shell crab salad (another Naree specialty?!?!), fried rice noodles and a/m trout with tax & tips was $89.00. One appetizer on a select menu (I got veggie dumplings), a drink (Thai tea of course) and then the entree. The flavors here were on point and I was happy with the serving size. Check the pictures, but they don't do the taste justice. The Panang was just enough spice and coconut to make my mouth water when typing this. The spicy chili wings came in the sauce it was marinated in, but to my surprise they were CRISPY and not soaked/soggy. We got a full order of pad Thai (I think you should do this is sharing) because it was plenty of food alongside our lunch specials. The place inside is pretty cool. Reminds me of an old office converted into a Thai restaurant as it is on the bottom floor of a business building on ocean. this is our new found Canteen!! You gotta try their lunch menu. Ranging for just $11-$16, you get a beverage, appetizer and entree. It is quite a deal! we went twice so far. we tried their curries, pad tai, padsee yew, and cashew chicken. They are authentically flavored, maybe a little sweet on the side. Pad tai and padsee yew (the noodle dishes) were a little too soft, I prefer a dryer and firmer texture version. But with that kind of pricing, You can never go wrong with the choices and excellent service. Definitely must try! read more

I loved this place so much!!!! I was picking up a few things in Long Beach, had lost my wallet the night before, and needed a place where I could just pay ahead and get a good meal with my daughter. Naree handled my hump day so well. I was able to order/pay via the Yelp app and I loved their pad thai, spring rolls, and my daughter could not get enough of the black bean sweet rice tradition Thai dessert. We were all so happy! They are super safe during the pandemic. Nevertheless if you need a place to eat, we found a grassy area and had a picnic outside (until it rained, and the hump day continued).
