Some friends I trust suggested I take my BMW 3 to Nasseri Auto Tech. My regular mechanic had given my car a thorough inspection at the last oil change and indicated the car needed nothing. So, when I reached my next service interval I figured why not see what Nasseri has to say. David met me at the door and had me pull into the bay and began to give me a guided tour of my car. I hadn't even gotten out of the car when he spots a problem. "Back up, come in again and brake hard when you stop," he told me. I did. I felt something weird in the brakes. "There! Did you feel that? Let me show you." We switched places and he repeated the hard stop and my tire stutter-stepped. "Lower swing arm bushing. It's worn out. Let's see what else we can find." He pops the hood and hops out. He takes me on a tour of my engine. He points out the various systems and clues about their health. He starts probing around the various fluids. One after another, the pH is wrong, this one is contaminated, this one is the wrong color, this one is too old. Wow, why hadn't this stuff been addressed? In the end he found a healthy list of maintenance that needed to be done and I was really pleased with the thorough explanation I got for each one. Here's the crazy thing. When I picked up the car, it was washed, vacuumed and the entire interior was treated with a preservative for the leather and dashboard. What? I know, right? I have always trusted 5-star Yelp reviews, so I took my car to David without much hesitation. And yes, as you can see from other reviews, David is a very nice guy. But, there were some things that made me very disappointed with their service. Among many other things, I will point out two negative things. First, my drivers-side window regulator failed after years of usage. After getting a call from them that it has been fixed, I arrived and inspected the car. However, the window glass wasn't aligned properly, and I could easily poke a credit card between the glass and the rubber sealing (well you shouldn't be able to do that FYI). Since my car doesn't have a window frame, if the positioning of the window glass isn't precise, you will definitely have outside air coming into the car while driving at high speed and make an awful hissing noise. I pointed out the problem to David. He acknowledged the problem and said he'll do it again. Upon my next visit, it was better than before. But believe me. IT WAS NOT PERFECT. I thought I was maybe being one of those paranoid customers who is picky about every freakn thing. So I just gave a happy face, paid, and left. And you know what? Oh yeah you guessed it right. When I drove above 40~50 mph, my windows vibrated and the outside air came into the car like crazy. At this point, I was already very disappointed and gave up on them. Instead of giving them a THIRD chance, I took the car to the dealer that I used to take. The dealer had it fixed without any problem. Yes, I paid the labor to the dealer. But it was worth the money. I hate headaches. Second, communication was bad. David says he will give me a call back with an update by the end of the day. But he doesn't. Well, the next day, I expect them to call, right? Because they said they will call me back the day before. Well they don't. I always had to call first to see what the status is. And this is not a single happening. I had left my car with them for many days for different occasions, and most of the time it was like this. I told David in the shop that it would be good if they can call me on the update. He apologized and said they are very busy. Ok, I get that. But if the same mistake happens over and over again, it's no longer a mistake. Well then why do I give them two stars? Because they did fix other stuff well for a reasonable price. Besides, David offers a rental car if your fix gets longer, which is a nice thing. It seems like they still have a great 5-star review. So I was maybe one of those unlucky customers. But I guess it is what it is. read more

David is VERY knowledgeable about his cars and he isn't just a wannabe mechanic or wants your money to meet his quota, he genuinely wants to help fix your car and make sure you know why he is replacing the parts. David took care of my car like it was his own and showed me what my issues were and what needs to be fix. He changed my brakes and my car has he never felt better since I relocated. This was my second visit to Nasseri Auto Tech and definitely won't be my last. I had a terrible experience at the dealership getting work done, and ecstatic that I found a mechanic who specializes in my type of vehicle and is in my area. First experience (June 2017) I just purchased my vehicle took it here to get checked out and an oil change. They were able to see me same day, check out the car and run the database on my car and all the work that has been done on it. Second experience was just as fantastic as the first! Came to get an oil change. He calls tells me the recommendations on the work that needs to be done, I told him a go on everything and he started the work. I get a text when my car was finished and picked up my car after work. Once I arrived he went over everything that was done, and even gave a description of exactly what was done for people who don't know much about cars like me. He cleaned the leather interior on my car, washed it and cleaned the entire engine. He does offer rental cars at a discounted price but I was able to Uber since it was easier for me.
