    Trail ride

Great ride! We did the 2 hour and it was beautiful! Our guide Julia was super sweet, we had good conversation and she was knowledgeable. 10/10

    Sawyer was the best!

Mary was an incredible guide for our four hour private trail ride. She was personable, friendly and very knowledgeable. We would unreservedly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun experience. Mary really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and always safe.

When my cousin told me that I was going horseback riding, I was so scared because I had an irrational fear of accidentally hurting the horse or the horse kicking me off their backs but this place helped me get used to riding a horse! Our tour guide, Brielle, was incredibly nice and understanding of our fears and reassured us that the horses were well trained, which they were. She was very enjoyable and a fun person to talk to! It was an incredible experience and entertaining and I would totally recommend it to those who want to try out horseback riding at a beginner level with the 2 hour ride. Definitely the best stop that we've been to in Colorado. Thank you Brielle and the other staffs at this stables, hope to see you again friends!

Unbelievably amazing experience. Megan guided us on a two-hour morning ride. It was a highlight of our entire trip to Estes Park/RMNP. Neither of us knew how to ride, but we felt comfortable the entire time riding King and Mongo and enjoyed majestic views of snow topped peaks, meadows and deer. Cannot recommend highly enough!

    Erik constantly checked on us!

I don't like leaving bad reviews, especially since this easily could have been & should have been a 5 star review. I went on the 2 hour horseback ride through the Rocky Mountain National Park. I had been excited about doing this for weeks. Told all my friends & family. They paired me with Joker, the horse. Our guide, Erik, was just wonderful! He constantly checked on us to make sure everyone was ok. He pointed out interesting things along the way and told us about the plants, trees, animals & such. We had 2 newbie riders with us, one was a boy, and Erik did such a great job of coaching them on the ride that by the time we returned, both riders looked like naturals. The ride itself was beautiful. The vistas were breathtaking! It was truly a wonderful ride. On the way back, I asked Erick if he could take a picture of me on Joker when we returned. He recommended asking one of the fellows who helped us off the horses. So, up until when we got back, 5 stars all around! Bravo! When we returned, several of the employees welcomed us back and asked if we had a good time. For that, 5 stars. Very nice! Here's where the experience went south, per Erik's suggestion, I asked the guy who was going to help me off of the horse if he could take a picture of me on the horse. This guy was impatient and seemed put out. So he took a picture of me on the horse, but you couldn't see the horse! I asked if he could take a picture of me on the horse, with the horse in the picture. I'd traveled thousands of miles. I wanted a picture to commemorate my ride. Again, he was impatient and put out. Seriously, how many seconds did this take away from his busy schedule? 10 seconds? So, he goes to the front of the horse to take the picture. He didn't say, "Ok, smile" to warn me, so I plastered a smile on my face hoping something would be salvageable. I really wanted a picture of the whole horse. Apparently, this was too much to ask. He was impatient and rude. One star for this guy. This may sound trivial to whoever reads this, but it was important to me. It bothered me a lot after I got home. Like I said, I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I am writing this so management can hopefully make some positive changes.

We enjoyed using the gas grill and pleased that they had plenty of pots and pans available to have a cook out. The home has a view of the river from the patio that we enjoyed. The management was very helpful and stayed in touch with us right before our arrival. On our last night there we thought to pack the truck and get everything ready to head back home at 4am the next day. We got back from Denver pretty late that evening as it started to get dark. My husband and father loaded the truck with our luggage on our luggage rack on top of our SUV. It is pitch black at night in Aspen Brook. No problem for us we didn't want to inconvenience anyone, except that its rather difficult to load a truck in the dark. Our parking spot was not next to the home it was across the road, so my husband parked the car right next to the home to finish loading the truck and get some visibility with the porch light on. As we were finishing up management called me and told me we could not park there and I told her we were just finishing up loading the truck and would move it in a few minutes, she agreed and hung up. When I got off the phone I walked over to the porch and saw an older man standing next to our truck flashing a light into the windows of the truck. When I asked him if I could help him he yelled and said I couldn't park there to which I replied that we were almost done loading and would move it asap as soon as we were done and that we had just gotten a call from property management. He screamed "what if an ambulance needs to come by"!!!?? I repeated to him again that we were almost done and would move it soon and went back inside. I tried calling management back to ask who this man was, no answer. At that point I emailed property management. I said we had no problem with the call but was it really necessary for the older guy to come yell at us and on top of that snoop/shine his light into our truck??? Its a week later and never got a response from the email I sent to property management.

We finished taking the scenic drives around RMNP and went into Estes Park. I suggested we take the tram up the mountain before dinner. We arrived at the lower terminal. There's a parking lot available to park in for a fee. Handicap Parking is free. We went inside and bought our tickets for $35.96 each. There was no line to board the tram, so we went on out to the loading area. There's a gift shop here you can visit before going up. It is highly recommended to have a reservation (purchase tickets in advance)! Prices vary depending on day of the week and time. If you are a walk-in, the time slot you want may be sold out and you'll have to select an available time. Each tram accommodates 10 people. We had the car to ourselves along with the tram attendant. She was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. She lets riders in and out of the tram. The ride is fairly short (5 minutes each way) even though the tram doesn't travel terribly fast. There's an elevation gain of 1,029 ft. The upper terminal sits at 8,619 ft. This is a very smooth ride. The windows of the tram were wide open, which was great! At the upper terminal, there is an observation platform with telescopes, gift shop, picnic areas, restrooms, cafe, and a trail to the West Summit. The trail is .75 miles one way and is supposedly a fairly easy hike. There's a machine that spins fresh cotton candy and I had to try it! We bought a small bag of peanuts to feed the chipmunks, but it seemed like the birds got most of them. The view is breathtaking! We left the top around the golden hour and it was awesome! This was a serene way to enjoy nature!
