    Shumai

Had a great time with my buddy and his Chinese girlfriend. She knew how to communicate with the servers giving us an advantage with the ordering and service. Cons: -it's a little pricey on the weekends, almost no items are on A tier price; while the best ones are C tier like shumai and shrimp dumpling. -wait time is a little slow especially after your first order. Make sure you get everything in on your first go. They're super busy and everything is made fresh, so it takes longer though it all comes out piping hot. Pros: -shumai were the largest ones I've ever seen and they taste great. The shrimp dumplings are one of the best I've had. Very tasty. Ambiance is very loud and crowded; though that's means it's good. Great for larger groups too. Overall 4/5 If we come back we'll come back on a weekday for better prices.

This place is so good! Got our typical orders and loved all of them. I'm from the Bay Area in San Jose, so have had dim sum in the Richmond / sunset area of SF and Cupertino, but this is definitely better, which is so weird to admit!! Xiu Mai was awesome, char siu bao, Chinese broccoli cooked to perfection. The wait wasn't terrible on a weekend with kiddos - about 20 minutes! Food was fantastic and we will definitely be back!

This was our first time here this is a huge dining room and the design is exquisite on one side. There is a large TV light display in here are an amazing number for people and tables you order from the menu and the dishes are brought out. Some minor problems. The dessert items were brought up first and one of the items a scallop first they said they were out of it then they said they already delivered it, but they identified as the scallop roll did not have scallop in it with some form of meat Flavors were very good prices were reasonable for the area two of us ate for about $30 a person. They do have a parking lot behind the restaurant. We were there during the week no problem parking or getting a table at lunchtime.

I am always looking for new dim sum spots to try whenever I am in Los Angeles. I have passed by Longo Seafood Restaurant many times but never paid much attention to it. Despite seeing average reviews and hearing about mediocre service, I decided to give it a try. We arrived near the end of their dim sum service hours, but they were still able to accommodate all of our orders. We stuck with some classics, including shumai, beef meatballs, and beef cheung fun, and also ordered the beef ho fun. One of my favorite dim sum dishes is shumai, and the ones here were nearly twice the size of the typical versions I have had elsewhere. They were juicy, flavorful, and definitely a standout dish. I also really enjoyed the beef ho fun, which we ordered wet style rather than dry. It came with tender slices of beef, soft wide rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, and was smothered in a rich, savory brown sauce. The dish was delicious, and the portion size was very generous. Overall, I thought this was a solid and authentic dim sum restaurant. The service was attentive, and our food arrived fairly quickly. Longo Seafood Restaurant made a great first impression, and it is a place we will definitely remember and consider revisiting on our next trip to LA.

This place was highly rated by a lot of foodies. So we decided to give it a try. -Shumai- pretty juicy -Har gow - the dumpling skin was too thick -Congee - thousand egg and shredded meat - good but not my favorite -Broccoli - not bad -Chasu buns - one of the best ones. Sticky and sweet on the outside, soft and flavorful -tofu - pretty juicy -Steamed napa cabbage with fish - tasted interesting. Couldn't really tell it's fish. Parking in the back. It gets packed on a weekend.

Took my family here for dim sum and it's become my favorite in the entire 626. I love that they have my favorite hard-to-find items like the almond tea with puff pastry and rice rolls with braised beef. The best part? It's all done well, authentically, and is super tasty. The hao gao and siu mai come in gigantic portions that I ended up having to share in order to try all the items, so they're great value. Of the 10+ dishes, not one was a miss. Highly recommend and this is our new go-to dim sum spot.

Best Chinese seafood place. Staff is fast and attentive. They also have good breakfast. Their york bun is one of the best i have ever had.

Fresh seafood, classic Cantonese flavors, and perfect for sharing We came here for a family-style dinner and left very satisfied. If you're looking for traditional Cantonese seafood in the SGV, this is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is well known for its live seafood and banquet-style dishes. The cold king crab legs were incredibly fresh. The meat was sweet, firm, and naturally flavorful without needing much sauce. It was a great way to start the meal. One of my favorite dishes was the ginger & scallion king crab. The crab stayed juicy while absorbing the fragrance of ginger and scallions. Every piece was packed with flavor but not overly salty. We also ordered the salt and pepper fried king crab, which had a crispy exterior while keeping the meat tender inside. It paired perfectly with the garlic and scallions. The stir-fried mushrooms with snow peas were a nice balance to all the seafood--fresh, light, and cooked just right. Another surprise was the roasted squab. The skin was beautifully crispy, while the meat remained juicy and flavorful. Definitely worth ordering if you enjoy Cantonese-style roasted dishes. To finish the meal, we had the crab roe with steamed egg custard, which was silky smooth and rich without being too heavy. It was comforting and a perfect ending. The portions were generous, making it ideal for sharing with family or a larger group. Service was efficient even though the restaurant was busy, and the seafood quality really stood out. Overall, this was a memorable Cantonese seafood dinner, and I'd happily come back to try more seasonal specialties. Recommended: * Cold king crab legs * Ginger & scallion king crab * Salt & pepper king crab * Roasted squab * Stir-fried mushrooms with snow peas * Crab roe steamed egg custard

I came here for a multi--occasion private party. Cons: The outside looked dated and the women's restroom was beyond disgusting. Pros: The inside was beautiful, our private room was very nice and the food was good. We ordered the banquet menu and all the food was delicious: walnut prawns, steam sea bass, steam chicken, filet mignon, lobster, fried rice, combination platter with sausage, duck, chicken and jellyfish, just to name a few. Service was ok. There is a free parking lot in the back and free street parking.

Forced to come here and get dim sums to go because a few of the dim sum only place are closed on Tuesday. Bought three orders sui mar, three orders of shrimp buffs, two orders of chicken naps, one order of tofu skin roll and one order of chun fun. The bill for ten orders came to a little more than $52.00. Not really bad, but it a little cheaper at Dim sum only places. The foods tasted about the same. It is all good. Ray out!

    Tiffany C.

It feels very clean inside--grand and spacious. The service was excellent, and the food came out quickly. Everything we tried was so good. This is definitely a place you should go with a large group to really enjoy the full experience.

Great food and great service! Been here for both dim sum and dinner. Both has been amazing!

    Christopher C.

The dim sum here is HEAVENLY! Nothing was short of expectional, and much cleaner than most other dim sum spots in the area. Everything came out quickly and the staff was very on top of ensuring that tea and waters were refilled throughout the dining experience.

There were a few misses, but the dishes that landed were executed really well. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area! Siu Mai 10/10 - Juicy, plump and perfectly executed. Definitely my favorite dish. Bean Curd Skin Roll in Abalone Sauce 9/10 - Flavorful with an excellent texture. The whole dish was well executed. Beef Chow Fun 8/10 - Solid and flavorful. The beef was tender, and the noodles had a great texture. Yangzhou Fried Rice 8/10 - The rice was moist and the seasoning was spot on. There were three very small rolls, definitely not my cup of tea. Chili Wonton 3/10 - By far my least favorite dish. The wonton skin tasted very flour-y, and hardly had any filling. The filling was also very bland and the chili oil was very underwhelming. By the way, the tea is free (I know, free tea at a dim sum spot).

Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape.
