    Wonton noodle

Wonton here was alot better than the other kim kee/ky forgot which one. This one isnt overly salty. For the mei wong //#26 i think they salt the white noodles because that one can get a little salty for some but it adds flavor. Parking is small and you write yiur name on a paper and even though the names can be all over the place, it some how works. (Some people wrote on the back page, others wrote on an invisible column going from bottom up)

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have some pretty solid noodles here. I came around 11:30 on a Saturday and the restaurant was pretty packed. They are really fast though so we were able to sit down and order within 10 minutes. We ordered the following: * assorted meat and shrimp noodles * wonton noodle soup * sweet soy sauce rice cake w/ egg - this dish lacked flavor so I probably wouldn't order it again They are very generous with their portion! I was not expecting such a big bowl of noodles. Hubby and I both couldn't finish our noodles and said we need to share a bowl the next time we come.

My favorite childhood restaurant!! I grew up with this restaurant for at least two decades now. Everytime I am back home in the 626, I order their #1 which is the assorted meat and shrimp rice noodle, but with soup on the side. I lovee this dish so much. I put hoisin saice and a little red vinegar and mix it all together and the flavor is amazing. If you aren't familiar with these noodles, this noodle dish is Teochew style chinese noodles. The waitresses all know me and it is so nice to see familiar faces when I am there. I am so happy to see this restaurant still thriving today. I usually go before 10am and there isn't a line. The best of 626!!

Food: 4/5 Ordered noodles #26, pork kidney and Chinese donut. All dishes were excellent. Although i thought the two types of noodles in my dish was a bit different. The pork kidney is a must try! Service: 4/5 Everyone is nice and quick. Definitely feel the rush throughout. Ambiance: 3/5 It's tight. Decor is meh but hey, no one coming here for the ambience... the food is what keeps you coming back!

Kim Kee Noodle Cafe whips out one of the best egg noodle soup bowls in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) area. No doubt about that. My Mom, my brothers and their families, and I were here for lunch the day after New Year's 2026. They do take reservations if you have a large party. Inside space is still the same as before... very snugged. Do come early if you can. Parking is still limited behind the restaurant. I had to park on the street just a few minutes away. I went with my usual... fish and shrimp with thick egg noodles, but this time in dry style. Fresh ingredients. Tons of egg noodles which I like. However, I wished the fish fillet slices were thicker and shrimps were bigger. A small bowl of chicken broth came on the side. My Mom and I had to share one small plate of fresh chives and bean spouts. Lady staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you ladies! They have known one of my brothers for over 20 years. He has been a loyal customer for a very long time. I don't come here as much as he does. We'll continue to support Kim Kee Noodle Cafe for years to come. Btw, bring cash if you don't want to pay a service fee of 4% or so for credit card use. Cash is king!

Kim Kee is well known for their noodles: fried, served with broth, and different types of noodles. Price point is affordable and I definitely enjoyed the stir fried thick noodles special. It was super hot and delicious.

This is a chain Teochew style noodle shop that has a lot of stores in the SGV. They have a lot of noodles with different toppings to your liking and you can choose either dry or with soup. If you do order the dry style, they will give you a bowl of soup on the side. My go to order is usually the house special noodles dry with wide egg noodles or the mixed beef dry noodles, just depends on what I'm craving that day. The service is fast and typical Chinese restaurant service, nothing too extraordinary. The weekends will have a line during breakfast and lunch times so make sure you come early or later to avoid long lines, but the lines do move quick. They also open early, so could be the best time to come after opening.

After all these years, it's still one of the best noodle place in SGV. The portion and the price are very reasonable, and the quality of the meat is very very good. Definitely worth the drive from the IE. Just don't forget to leave tips, otherwise they will ask for it.

Since I was visiting California for the weekend, my uncle who lives there drove me to Kim Kee Noddle Cafe since he said that this was his main spot for egg noodles. The inside was your average mom and pop shop, but still clean and organized. The service was standard, but nice and quick. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes. We both got their "Hu Tieu Hoac Mi Dac Biet" which is House Rice Noodles w/ Egg Noodles ($14.95). Delicious! Broth was clear, portions were filling, and flavor was tasty. Overall, a pretty solid noodle shop in the Alhambra area. Also, street parking only.

A staple restaurant of MPK and the SGV for years. Been frequenting here for the longest of times, so today finally dropping a review! My go to noodles here are the Fukien Noodles and Wonton Noodles but everything on the menu is also fantastic! Come here for lots of noodles! Each bowl is jam packed with too much noodles. Enough to feed two people per bowl honestly. The Fukien and Mei Wong noodles is probably one of my favorites. Fried shrimp cracker on top adds some extra crunch to my noodles. Wonton and meat comes loaded into the noodle bowls. I highly recommend everyone to stop by for that old school Asian noodle house environment. Place is always packed and has lines waiting out the door. Maybe just order for pickup or go at off dining hours. They finally accept credit cards here too!

Who would have thought a somewhat outdated looking restaurant turned out to have some of the best noodles in SGV. I can't remember how many times I have passed by this place and now I truly regretted it. I ordered #1. There were a lot of ingredients in the noodles. The shrimps were fresh. The fishballs were good. The soup was not overly salty and the noodle was at a good proportion with a reasonable price. I can see why this place is popular. Even though there may be a wait, the servers work really hard to clean the table and the wait wasn't long. I have introduced this place to my other friends and now they start coming frequently too. So would I come back? 100% yes!

#26 Fujian Shrimp & Pork Mei Wong
    Vincent P.

A childhood favorite, growing up in a Chinese Vietnamese household, this is the ideal comfort food! I have fond memories of this spot for their Hu Tieu, I'm happy to see them still doing well. There is a small parking lot available, but I prefer to park on the street since it's easier. They have plenty of tables for sit-down, my family prefers to get take-out. You can pay with card, but there is a charge. Thus, we pay with cash. I always order the #26 Fujian Shrimp & Pork Mei Wong. This comes with the sliced pork and shrimp, minced pork, shrimp cracker, half egg noodles, and half rice noodles with soup on the side. The portions are very generous and I love the thick egg noodles that they use. They also include a chili sauce and jalapeño sauce, I dump it all into the soup and mix it for some spicy flavors. If you love noodle soup and haven't given this type of noodle soup a try yet, definitely give them a visit and get the #26!

Seafood and egg noodles, broth on the side. A plate of fish cakes.

Hidden Gem in Alhambra - Finally Tried It After 4 Years of Driving By!…read more I've lived in Alhambra for the last 4 years and drove past this place almost every day, always assuming it was just another hot pot spot. It never looked super busy, so I kept putting it off. Big mistake--don't let that happen to you like it did to me! We finally went in and ordered a bunch: the Spicy Beef Shank Rice Noodle, Rattan Pepper Sliced Beef Rice Noodle, Popcorn Chicken, Sesame Balls, Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Fried Milk Rolls, and Fried Taro Balls. Everything was outstanding. The noodles were amazing--fresh, chewy, with high-quality ingredients you can really taste in every bite. The broths had that perfect spicy kick without being overwhelming, and the beef was super tender. My wife and I couldn't stop eating; literally everything we tried was delicious. She especially loved the Fried Taro Balls--they were crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. The sides/snacks were all hits too: the Popcorn Chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, the Sesame Balls and Popping Brown Sugar Rice Cake brought great texture and sweetness, and the Fried Milk Rolls were a fun surprise. Service was top-notch--shoutout to Icey, who took such great care of us. One of the best and most attentive experiences we've had in a while. If you're in Alhambra and love good food, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't go wrong here--highly recommend! 5 stars all the way.

Beef roll looked more like a giant taco but was also excellent. In the most convoluted sequence of restaurant occupancy in the annals of Chinese restaurants in the United States, Noodle King has supplanted Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch in Alhambra in the space formerly occupied by a different restaurant named Noodle King in the 1980s and 1990s. There's a lot to explain here. I used the compound name for the previous occupant because the name on the front entrance was Rice Hero, the back entrance said Hero's Kitchen and the digital menus said In Joy Lunch. I say the old restaurant was supplanted, not replaced, because the old restaurant sort of still hangs around, with a tiny sheet of paper with all 3 old names taped to the front door, and many old dishes still on the menu. Why the three names I don't know. In Joy Lunch had been a popup that operated during lunch hour serving Dongbei food in a space in YYDS Fried Strings in Rosemead. In Joy Lunch then struck out on their own last year with this space in Alhambra, adding the new names. The old Noodle King had been a Taiwanese noodle fixture before moving out in 2003. Since the new Noodle King also serves some of the Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch items, the same name seems to be just a coincidence. But despite holdover menu items the staff clearly say they're a new restaurant, with the Noodle King himself greeting you at the front entrance and the signage in both front and back now say Noodle King.

The congee was nice and hot and thick, just the way I like it. Portion wise, this is perfect for 2- 3 people to share.
