    Cul de sac

We showed up to this place on accident and we were very hungry. It was 7 PM on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere.the place was clean and spacious. We decided to sit outside because of the nice breeze before the real summer heat starts. Our waiter was quick and friendly. We decided to share the cul de sac between us two and got the wings, mozzarella sticks, corn dogs, and chicken strips. The cul de sac is a lot more bang for your buck because it's less expensive than two entrees and we were craving too many different things. Plus, other than that nothing on the menu particularly stood out. We ordered a side of fries to go with it. All of our food came out hot and very fresh. I was extremely excited to try the mini corn dogs because I thought the breading would be thicker and more flavorful. They tasted like regular corn dogs. I found the chicken tender breading to be disappointing, but the inside was flavorful. I loved the mozzarella sticks! The wings were tasty too and not too spicy for me. The fries had the same look and texture as McDonald's fries with French fry seasoning. We found them to have a bit too much seasoning. Again, the service was amazing but I probably will not be going back for the food.

Farmers market skillet with light cheese - veggies over crispy potatoes topped with scrambled eggs and cheese

We tried Neighbors to check out their breakfast since so many of the breakfast spaces in Clovis are super busy on weekends and this place seemed pretty chill. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and always appreciate having a patio option. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, which were very savory. Lots of gravy but it was well seasoned and the biscuits were nice even though they were on the thin side. The farmers market skillet was great - local veggies, mushrooms, onions, and spinach with scrambled eggs. I asked for light cheese and added hot sauce and it was fabulous. My kids got the French toast and it was a large portion even though it was called "little" on the menu - it's the equivalent of 2 pieces of bread. We also orders the eggs Benedict on an English muffin and it was solid. Not amazing but good. Overall we enjoyed the food and the service and the pricing, which was around $10-12 a plate. They have mimosas and stuff as well but we didn't try that this time around. We would definitely come back!

Burger of the month for November 2021

I was here on 11/11/2021 with my wife on a random kid-free Thursday. We sat at the bar in front of the entrance and were promptly greeted and offered a sample of beer before ordering. Once the greeting was done it took longer than expected to place an order and at that time they were pretty slow. I ordered the Cali-Licious from Full Circle Brewery and my wife got an 805. We also ordered a fireball shot as a lost a bet... From here the good experience went downhill as they got busier and busier. Thursday Night Football was on and it didn't seem they were staffed to handle the crowd. Our beer refills were quick but I feel that was because we were right in front of the bartender. Beyond that we were mostly ignored. Not the end of the world as we were enjoying our own conversation. I ordered the burger of the month with onion rings and my wife ordered the cup-de-sac sampler to share. Mind you I've been eating greasy food for decades but this food was all mostly deep fried in old/dirty oil. The burger was meh. It was deli sliced turkey, stouffers stove top stuffing and some from a package gravy. Disappointed doesn't say it enough. About an hour after eating I had to puke in the bathroom, sorry TMI but it's the reality. Before eating I had a beer and that shot but I'm no rookie so some alcohol. In my opinion the sub par food just didn't sit well. I've got to the Fowler location for years and this was my first time at this location to eat, I've had drinks before. Will I be back, most likely but I'll stay away from the food.

I LOVE this place! I also LOVE their Fowler location! I think they have the most AMAZING staff. So friendly, attentive, fun. Even just today a server who wasn't even my server strolled by and brought me a sample of a new beer on tap. I thought that was fantastic! Made me feel so welcome:) I came by myself and they gave me the same attention as they would a big party. The Fowler location brings water for my dogs and loves to come say hi. I'm fact, they remembered when I said one night I was getting a new dog and they rushed out to ask me where my new dog was. Whoever does the hiring does a great job. I love the Buffalo sauce for the wings. Great selection of beers on tap. Love love it here. Keep it up, y'all. Good job. I'm happy to end my week here with ya!

    Chicken strips

Chicken strips specified tenderloins on the menu. They brought me frozen nuggets in the shape of strips.

Breakfast Shot is a MUST try if you have not had one before

I wasn't sure if they were still open even though one Yelp it said that they were because when we walked to the back all the chairs were stacked up on the tables already. They have a very large menu and can seem to customize pretty much anything you want including coffees and Red Bulls. The guy helping me was super nice and had a few suggestions based off of what I like. He recommended the mint chip, which I'm excited to see on the menu because those are usually seasonal and a lot of coffee spots. I enjoyed my mint chip drink which I was able to customize with oat milk and no whip cream. It wasn't too strong, but strong enough, and I really enjoyed the mint taste infused with the chocolate. My friend really liked her drink, which was an Horchata latte. We both said we would return.

Decided to check out this local sandwich shop for lunch the other day and definitely enjoyed it…read more The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining how the menu worked since we had never been there. The prices are really good for what you get and the quality of the food was above average as well. I wish they had online ordering outside of 3rd party apps that gouge the restaurant, the consumer, and the delivery driver but otherwise I could easily see myself grabbing a work lunch here. I just have to make sure I give myself enough time to call ahead and take the time to pay in restaurant. Overall, really good sandwiches and sides, good prices, just an old fashioned ordering system that you have to plan around.

I decided to come back today and give it another try. Today , I went with a turkey and salami combo on a wheat roll. Ok , we have a winner! That wheat roll managed to stay soft -yet sturdy enough to hold up to all the toppings. I get my sandwich with light mayo and light mustard , lettuce , tomato and wax peppers You can also add a variety of other toppings if you prefer. My sandwich today was a 5 star sandwich, but I am going to hold my 5th star back until I can try their burgers. For now, my rating stands at 4 stars , and I am now excited to come back and try more menu items! For a medium sandwich, chips and drink it was a little over $13.00 .

After reviewing the menu selection, it felt like I was waiting for a while just for a staff member to acknowledge us. Instead, the workers were standing with their backs to us , and left us standing there for a while. In fact , I was so confused I was looking around for a kiosk to order my food. The next thing that I didn't like was the price of our lunch. 45.00 for one sandwich , two small cups of soup , two fountain drinks , and a dessert. Seems pricey for a sandwich spot. I get it - this is a step up from Subway. However, for what I spent - I expected more. Finally, the dining room tables were grimy. I had to clean off our own table before the food arrived. I felt like this was inexcusable considering the amount of staff standing around not doing much. Here is what I did like. The menu has a nice variety of hot or cold sandwiches, sides , and desserts. Everything sounded so good. Today, I opted for the Monterey chicken sandwich. While the flavor was good, it ate a little messy. I had chicken pieces falling out and cheese oozing out of the bottom. I don't think I would order this again- there appears to be better options to choose from. The baked potato soup was really good ( salty but delicious)! Hands down , the best thing we tried was Gary's chocolate cake. That cream cheese frosting was heavenly! Heads up- this cake is super sweet ,and a little goes a long way. Feel free to share this dessert. I am coming back to try more menu items- I may have just ordered the wrong sandwich today.

The counter person waved me over and stated they were all waiting for their online orders, "OK... cool?" I ordered the 6-inch tuna with lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeno, and banana peppers, along with a drink. By the time I had filled my drink and walked back to the pickup counter, my sandwich was already done! Apparently, online orders have to be made close to the pick-up time so they sit for too long. So, if five or more people order a sandwich for pickup at 12:30pm, your ass is waiting and walk-ins get taken care of first! They gave me a large tuna portion for my sandwich. It was very fresh and not too heavy on the mayo either, which can create a drippy sando. Loved all the toppings except that they put pickle spears on their sandwiches and not pickle chips... why? The sandwich came on dutch crunch bread, which I normally love, but it was hard a little hard to bite through. The crust was more chewy than crunchy, but still soft on the inside. Decent prices, a huge menu, and they offer most of their sandwiches in wrap form as well.

And the location doesn't care, I called in the past to ask and they couldn't answer my question around quantity of ingredients, and the corp office said call the store manager, not us.
