When you walk in, you pay first. Then, you're given a tray with napkins, cups (if you order fountain drinks) and your booth/bar number. You can get utensils plus pickled ginger, wasabi, soy sauce, etc., at the counter near the drinks. Once you're seated, the sushi comes to you! I'm not a fan of sushi, but we were celebrating my friend's birthday, so there I was. My friend liked the sushi and filled up on it, especially the Richmond roll. I tried the California roll (the only sushi I eat), which was decent, though not outstanding. I also used the iPad to order the hibachi chicken with vegetables. It was fine--well cooked and seasoned, with a little bit of zucchini and broccoli thrown in. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. They must have recently changed their rule about having customers clear their own tables. A sign on the iPad told us to leave our plates on the table, which was cleared for us after we had finished eating. It was an interesting experience, and I'm glad I gave it a try. read more

Our family loves this place, however it can be a bit pricey for large families. We have a family of 5 and it cost about $90 with tip, so make sure you go hungry. The great things about this place is that it's unlimited food as long as you don't waste it. Food is served on a conveyor belt that is placed behind a plastic glass. The food comes around and you open up a little door to pull out a plate when you see something you want to eat. Lots of people prefer to sit in the booths, but my family prefers sitting on the bar area. We find it more convenient at the bar because no one fights over who gets to sit and pull the food out; everyone has a door in front of them and can grab food as they please. There are two conveyer belts that rotate in an oval shape in the restaurant. If you can, it's best to sit on the left side of the conveyor. The food comes from the kitchen on the left side and rotates to the right. People sitting on the left side get first pick of the food; things tend to run out the further right they go, so it might take a while to get a particular roll of its popular. My advice, if you like a particular roll, take 2 plates just in case it takes a while for it to come back around. The restaurant also offers cooked dishes if sushi is not your thing, or you have young kids who are picky eaters. There are a variety of fish and non-fish rolls on the bar, as well as a few types of "salads" and desserts. The desserts are your typical tasteless "Chinese buffet" type desserts. We love all the options this place has to offer and I have showcase a few of our favorites in the pictures. Came here on recommendation of a friend. I'm not a big sushi fan, but my husband is, and our friend assured us that you can order hibachi and teriyaki items as well. Employee at register was very nice, greeted us right away and explained how it worked. We got our table assignment, cups and for four of us our Tutsi was $77. Yikes. $77 for four people and three drinks, I got water. It is really nice to just sit down and immediately grab whatever food you are interested in - no waiting! We ordered from the iPad as well - shrimp tempura, chicken skewers, teriyaki chicken, hibachi steak, spring rolls and crab wontons. The iPad ordered food arrived at our table very quickly. The spring rolls were quite good, teriyaki entrees were good, steak tasted a little off, crab wontons were good. Husband really liked the sushi items that he picked - especially the Raleigh rolls and the naughty crab rolls. The desserts were quite bad. Cheesecake had almost no taste, chocolate cake was meh, cupcakes were definitely the best tasting. Admittedly, we didn't visit here for the desserts. Biggest thing that we didn't like was constantly having to get up to bus our table. My husband got up at least four times to take the empty plates to the discard area. We asked the young man who brought our entrees on a large cart if he was allowed to take them and he said no. So, having to leave table was inconvenient. Would we come again - not sure. I used to really love this place. Fantastic food, amazing sushi! The service, however, took a massive plummet. For reference, I've been here 10+ times and never had any complaints. The most recent trip was nothing short of a nightmare. Went with family, someone spilled their drink and it all went downhill from there. Whoever is bringing out the hot food orders doesn't understand a single word of English and doesn't have a single brain cell of their own. Here we are, panicking to get napkins to wipe soda, it's gotten all over the floor, and my in my shoe, and this guy is trying to put plates on the table. After being told to wait several times, he started angrily speaking to us in Spanish and starting pushing the plates on the still sticky table. Some other girl comes over and just kinda watches us as we're trying to get the table cleared. I ask her for a wet rag to wipe the table. Ignored. She's literally just standing there staring the 3 of us panic and rush to clean up soda, won't even do anything to help. Soda all over the floor, all over myself, and I can't even so much as get a wet rag to get the stickiness off. The other guy starts talking to this other woman in Spanish and next thing they're both laughing at the 3 of us. This is the first conveyor belt sushi I've been to in many years. The gimmick is always fun and the pricing here is very reasonable for all you can eat. You pay $18/person up front for dinner, then grab small plates of sushi (2-4 pieces) off the conveyor belt as you like. There's also a tablet to place orders from the kitchen for hot food like appetizers and hibachi. We walked in without a reservation around 5pm and were immediately seated at table #1. This is in the corner next to the kitchen door so it was one of the noisiest sushi experiences of my life, but being there also had the advantage of being first in line on the conveyor belt. Most rolls only had 4 or 5 plates each, so if we each took a plate then it would be slim pickings down the line for other tables. It worked out great for us because kitchen orders came lightning fast and we got first dibs on sushi, but I could see where it could be frustrating if your party is seated towards the end of the line on a busy night. Overall the sushi was fine, not bad but it is clearly about quantity over quality here. It's probably closer to 3.5 stars than 4, but table #1 gets 4 stars all the way. read more

You can get as much as you need for your dining experience. They give you a number to the table or booth to sit. Once you are seated your food will catwalk by you on the stainless steel runway. There is a brief description of what the foods as it goes by. You can open your window and grab as much sushi as you can before it gets away. You have many options to choose on the lovely conveyor belt of sushi, desserts, and salads. I would have never imagined enjoying a sushi roll with banana inside but it was delicious. The crab rangoons and spring rolls were delicious and hot. The restaurant also gives you the option to order appetizers and hibachi-style meals. I've been here twice so far and have been pleased. Be mindful this is all-you-can eat sushi coming out on a conveyor belt quickly so don't have an expectation of top-notch or specialized sushi. Be realistic. When you arrive you are greeted and pay for your food and drink. After you pay you are given a tray, cup for your drink (if applicable), and a number. The number determines what table you sit at. Then you can head to your table or the drink machine. In the same area as the drink machine you will find all of your condiments, utensils, and napkins. Pile all this up on your tray and take it back to your table. The conveyor belt moves at a great pace, quick enough to keep things moving yet slow enough so you can actually grab the food. There are signs that instruct patrons to keep the doors closed unless they are grabbing a plate from the belt for sanitary reasons, which I definitely appreciate. There's an assortment of sushi options and not just California rolls. There's also desserts, appetizers, and salads that come around on the conveyor belt as well. You also have the option to order other appetizers, kids meals, and hibachi items as well. Some options include spring rolls, egg rolls, crab rangoon, hibachi chicken, hibachi steak, fried rice, veggies, etc. The hibachi entrees are nothing to rave about, but they are OK. I've had the hibachi chicken and was underwhelmed because it wasn't seasoned well enough for my liking. You get all of this for $16 which is great! Overall it's a cool experience and a good one. So every time I've been there is 20-40 minute way which doesn't seem terrible. When the restaurant first opened up the sushi quality wasn't as great but it def improved! It's about 15$ a person and it's conveyer style sushi! It's conveyer belt sushi and you can literally get a million of sauces! It's self serve but they have every since you could possibly need! Normally the miso soup is good, and you press a button and it comes out of the dispenser! Tonight for whatever reason it tasted like hot water so I was a little disappointed. There's a good amount of choices on the conveyer melt they have nigiri sushi of tuna and salmon and the tamayoto egg thing too! They diversified the types of sushi so I thought it was pretty good! I love the seaweed salad and the Kani salad which is like a crab salad with spicy mayo! They also have a touch screen where you can order hot apps like gyoza, crab rangoons, tempura and hibachi! I went here for dinner last night for the first time. I had never been to an "all you can eat" sushi buffet. This was an interesting experience. The atmosphere definitely has a buffet feeling, but pretty cool. Sushi comes around on a conveyer belt & you grab what you'd like to eat. There's a little tablet above the table where you can place special orders, such as a spring roll appetizer or hibachi entree. Pricing, about $15 for all you can eat. Not bad. When you go in, you pretty much are quickly asked to pay and then you go sit down. You can get your own drinks (water/soda), as well as miso soup, and condiments. All of that being said, the sushi wasn't horrible, but surely wasn't "good." I would say it was a 6/10. The edamame should be a special order, as it was cold when I took it from the conveyer belt door. We ordered the hibachi to share from the special orders tablet and it was probably a 5/10. We both had water, as they serve no alcohol, which was definitely a bummer. A glass of wine or sake would have been nice. I don't love this place and not sure I would go back. However, I am a big fan of quality and delicious sushi. This wasn't it and being a buffet, I suppose that makes sense! They should definitely get a license for alcohol though. Interesting concept. You sit in front of a conveyor belt and sushi keeps going past you in the window. You can take what you like, they only ask that you eat what you take. Which is fair. First thing first, tilapia is not sushi! I repeat tilapia is not sushi! As the great Mike Rowe once said, "tilapia is a poo eating fish." So do not send it out on the belt on its own and don't out it in a roll. The rice is not packed tight enough for the sushi. Whenever I would dip it in my soy sauce the rice would separate or the rice would break, crumble or all three things would happen. This did not make me happy in the least. There were napkins everywhere under the floor. Sushi and chicken bones under our feet. The table looked like it wasn't wiped off properly. The workers were just moving as if they didn't see it so I said something and they swept it up. They didn't get everything. The food was terrible. My husband and I are not big sushi eaters but my daughter is and loves this place so today we went as a family. The place is clean (first thing i checked out) the sushi was fresh (although definitely more basic) they had cooked and none, veggie options too! There was salads (cucumber one was my favorite as a palate cleanser). If you aren't a sushi eater you can order from the iPad menu at each table (we had dumplings, spring rolls, hibachi chicken (this was good portion of chicken i would have liked some more veggies). We did not see any soup but honestly didn't ask either. They had all the sauces you needed set up by the fountain drink station (self serve) I've never been to a conveyor belt restaurant - it was a fun experience! My daughter enjoyed opening the window and grabbing for all of us!! We were at the middle/end of the conveyer line but still never had issues getting what we wanted. The big miss i see here is dessert - it was ok but not wow! The little chocolate muffins were so dry it was comical! The one addition my husband and i both agreed would be a good one was fruit salad (even canned, although fresh is best) - would be a nice way to end the meal! Would I go back? Sure but not often as I'm not a big sushi lover and all you can eat options result in all you can eat and tummy aches! I have been to Rockin' Rolls Sushi a few times for the all-you-can-eat deal. The sushi on the conveyor belt lacks variety and what they do have is not even as good as what you will get from Harris Teeter. Some of it looks pretty disgusting, actually. The times I went no one would clear the table so we ended up with piles of little saucers on the table. It isn't a classy experience at all. I don't remember how much it costs but every time we have left we said we would never go back. We have only been back because the kids like the conveyor belt. I've been to the Durham location before so when I heard that there was a Raleigh location I had to try this place for dinner. It's slightly more expensive than the Durham location, but they offer hibachi, teriyaki, and other fried appetizers. The quality of the food is not that great. It's the same quality as grocery sushi. And the food is all-you-can-eat but most of it is rice so it fills you up quickly. Also, there wasn't that much variety when I came and I got bored eating the same types of sushi. The hibachi was okay but the fried rice was bland. Don't waste your time getting the fried rice. The dessert options were meh and the Raleigh location didn't have fruit options like the Durham location. You also have to throw away and clean your own plates which I don't mind but some people here seemed bothered by it. I would definitely suggest coming here to experience conveyor belt sushi, but for good sushi go somewhere else. read more

"Meh" is exactly how I feel about this new location. First of all, Raleigh price is a bit higher than Durham because their dinner also includes hibachi, which I didn't mind because I love hibachi. Well, personally I wasn't too impressed with it. They have a tablet at each table and each seat if you're sitting at the bar to order your appetizers, hibachi/ teriyaki, and kid's menu. It's neat but very poorly executed. After ordering the appetizers and 2 hibachi dishes as soon as I got seated, it took them at least 15 minutes to bring out 2 appetizers. Then an additional 10-15 minutes to bring out the hibachi dish but forgot the other dish. It took them another 10 minutes until we received the second dish. Well, by then, we were already almost 45 minutes into eating and we were quite full. And do I need to mention not only did it take forever but also the meat was very dry by the time it got to me? Also, the portion was terrible as well. We waited 45 minutes for meat maybe 15 pieces of tiny meat. It didn't even cover 1/4 of the plate. If they're charging more because of the hibachi, they need to do a better job at getting the food to us on time. Obviously, it's AYCE so they don't have the best quality sushi but it's still fun to go for the conveyer belt. Raleigh location has a few rolls I haven't seen at the Durham one and I enjoyed them. I did notice that even though it was packed for Sunday dinner, their sushi on the conveyer belt were bad quality than usual. Some of them looked very dry as if it had been sitting there for hours. Raleigh must be a little smaller than Durham because it looked so cramped. The way they have the tables set up, it's kinda hard to get by sometimes. Though, unlike the Durham one, they do have booths that can fit up to 6 people. Considering they just opened, their staff didn't seem to care too much about cleaning. I sat at the sushi bar and even though the people that sat next to me left 15 minutes ago, they didn't clean up before they sat the new people. Also, the sauce area and plates area in the back were both sticky and dirty. They had a lot of people working but not enough of them were cleaning but just walking around and getting in people's way. There are 3 conveyer belts instead of 2 and they added tablets to each station that allows one to order apps, hibachi and kids menu items from the kitchen (all included in the $14.99 price as of 1/12/2019). Also the food seemed fresher and the ordering from the kitchen gets you a hot dish/app. For those new to the concept, I'm repeating my Durham location post. This is definitely a unique concept in buffet dining, although not unique in Japan, at least when I was there. I've always viewed it more as pigs at a trough :-) As you can see by the pictures, it's set up with the kitchen all the way to the back, and then 2 covered conveyor belts coming from each end of the kitchen straight out to the dining area. Along the conveyor belt, starting at the kitchen, are booths on either side of each belt, then a bar table on the ends with individual chairs sitting next to each other. The belt runs down one side and back up the other. The kitchen staff are constantly making and loading the various types of sushi onto the belt, filling in each section with the labeled sushi type on a small plate. As the type you want comes your way, you slide open the door and grab a dish. Before you start, you'll want to go to the front corner of the restaurant and grab your utensils/chopsticks, sauces, wasabi, drinks, etc and then come back and hunker up to the trough and dig in! I'd suggest choosing a chair at the end of the belt so you can easily waddle back out of the restaurant once you've stuffed yourself! There really is no individualized service here as it's all purely self serve (see update above), including cleaning up after yourself. However, the place did seem fairly clean and well stocked, and the cashiers seemed efficient. Other than that, you never interact with them at all. And strangely, they request a tip at the time you enter and pay, before you even experience the restaurant. Hopefully they pay their staff standard pay rather than waitstaff pay! One tip is to either sit at the bar table or in the booths on the side of each belt that runs away from the kitchen, however you don't seem to get a choice other than "booth or bar", so if the restaurant is full, you may want to go for the bar. The reason.... everyone grabs the popular stuff at the start of the belt and it's gone by the time it gets around to the booths on the other side. Oh, and don't sit next to the belt if you get a booth as you'll be the one grabbing the sushi for you and the person next to you! Remember, your brain takes about 20 mins to tell you it's full so if you're dieting, sit in the booths on the other side :-) For me, I ignore my brain :-D I would definitely recommend it just to say you've been there, and to experience the conveyor belt sushi buffet concept.
