Beautiful and intimate salon:-) an escape :-)

Lisa gives the best pedicures I've ever had and I'm really picky. I get ingrowns and I'm in a bad mood sometimes and she always fixes my toes and puts a smile on my face. Thank you for your care.

I have passed this nail salon many times on my walk with my dog and kept telling myself I needed to check it out based on how nice it looked. Luckily, I was having a pretty down day and decided to treat myself today. I did not have an appointment and was a walk-in. I signed my name on the book in the front and quickly took a seat. I arrived at Neo's around 3:40. About 10 minutes later I was told someone would be with me shortly and I could soak my feet until that person was ready. To be honest, that locked me in. If I was stuck sitting in the waiting area for as long as I did I probably would have left. I was seen around 4:25 which is roughly 35 minutes later. I can't complain, I didn't have an appointment and I was enjoying soaking my feet. I've seen a lot of bac complaints about the regular mani-pedi experience so was skeptical, however, I had to try for myself. It's still the first day so I don't know how long it would last but Lin took great care of me and my nails looked great after I left the salon. She even noticed one nail was messed up and took it all off to do it over. The salon smells really good, it's very clean, relaxing music is playing and you get some white noise from the waterfall fountain. The places feels very tranquil. It is a small place but it's not compact. My favorite experience was getting a lemon squeezed on my feet, I don't know why lol but it was definitely cool. I would love to come back to enjoy some of their spa treatments.

Neo's Nail Spa is my favorite nail place in the entire Bay Area. They've done my nails for my engagement party, baby showers, Halloween and everything in between. The result has always been beautiful and I receive tons of compliments. Su does my acrylic nails and nail design and is a GEM. She has great advice about what nail shape will look good with your hands, and her freestyle designs are gorgeous. I've gotten several pedicures with Loan. Absolutely wonderful woman and will give you every minute promised for those massages. Lisa has also been a wonderful manicurist and produces really pretty designs with foil. I cannot rave enough about this place. The inside is elegantly decorated and peaceful - great for relaxing after a hectic day. Make sure you book an appointment because they're well-loved in the neighborhood and if you need a fast walk-in experience - Wednesday is your day. Thank you to all the wonderful ladies at Neo's!

Hey everyone, I would seriously avoid this nail salon. While they were friendly, my friend and I, and one other person, waited over 30 minutes, with an appointment scheduled. When my friend and I discussed going somewhere else due to a time crunch, that was when we were immediately serviced. They did not have the colors available (that they showed us) when we requested them. The service was sloppy, slow, and painful. Both my friend and I had been cut deeply enough to bleed. I can understand a nick here and there, but it was significant.

I get the most beautiful acrylic set every time I come here, I will not go anywhere else because they do an incredible job. All of the nail techs are so talented and very kind and welcoming. Scheduling an appointment is easy and I have a great experience here every time.

My co worker recommended this place since I am not as familiar with San Jose.. street parking wasn't too bad but they also have a parking lot behind their building which I didn't see until I was inside .. Staff was polite and they have an abundance of nail colors to chose from. Both gel opi and matching colors for mani pedi. I opted for the LOVING LAVENDER PEDICURE ($40 for 45 min) it included a 9 min foot/ leg massage and scrub It includes a lavender & rose petal aromatic bath. * Exfoliate your feet with a lavender foot scub. * Hot towel & hot stone foot wrap followed by a 9 minutes massage. * Finish with buff or polish of your choice. * Also treat your feet to a bath of lavender oil filled with rose petals. I came in on a Wednesday and by the following Monday my polish was chipping off my toes I didnt go swimming or any excessive amount of water exposure.. im a little disappointed because I at least expected my polish to last 10 days if not longer .. I have an event this weekend and now I have to go buy polish in hopes of stretching this pedi for an upcoming events that require toe exposure.. if my polish would have lasted at least a week I definitely would have give 4 stars because everything else was good

I needed my nails done for graduation so I made a reservation with Yen through their website. I asked for a almond shaped acrylic set with glitter and showed Yen a reference from a Pinterest image. She did just that! She also went out her way to look for the glitter that was identical to the picture I showed her. Yen is careful and sweet and made sure I had perfect nails foe graduation. It's been two weeks since I got my nails done from Yen and my acrylics are still holding strong. Thank you Yen!

Been getting my nails done at Neo's nails for a while now. I've been doing the dip and have been loving it! It's been lasting a month to 5 weeks, which is perfect for my schedule. Pedicures are great too-love the coconut one.

Called in the morning and asked if I could come in for a pedicure and they said yes they could take me right away. Arrived less than 10 mins later and they were full and asked me to wait. Was leaving out of town and didn't have time to wait, which is why I called. Wasted $25 in Ubers to get there and get back because I don't have a car here. Wasted my time I could have gotten a pedicure somewhere else. I appreciate transparency in a business over lies that put me in a tight situation with no pedicure. Do not recommend based on this and the previous experience of getting someone who did not know how to do dip nails attempting to do them on me and it was a mess.

I am a usual here. Every single time I come here, the ladies say something about me, not knowing that I am Vietnamese and can understand every single word (even though my credit card has a Vietnamese last name). Example: "Omg, she is being so cheap today, what's her problem, not getting gel." Every. Single. Time. Newsflash: I can speak, read, and write Vietnamese. However, I am always nice to everyone because the place is nearby and the nails are decent. Today was the final straw. I nicely said, "Sorry, I think the water is a bit too hot," and they proceeded to mock me in Vietnamese about how the water wasn't hot at all and telling each other how I was being difficult not putting my feet in. Good thing I don't have diabetes because they could give someone some serious nerve damage. I was patiently waiting for a really long time, and they proceeded to discuss in Vietnamese about how I had let the bottom of my scrub pants get wet in the tub and why would I do such a thing. I had just gotten off from working in the medical field, they are scrubs, and I was just going to throw them in the wash immediately after. Hands down the rudest Vietnamese nail salon I have ever been to. FYI: If you are not Vietnamese--yes, they are talking about you every single time as well. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I paid $120 with $10 tips to both ladies. The tip was definitely not deserved for my manicurist. She was rude, she did not want to even give me the time of day, her remarks we rude. She went by the name of Lisa. I tipped her regardless of her service because my morals on those who work in the service industry. I felt like it was a waste of time, the other ladies were super nice however Lisa made the whole experience horrible. It was all about when attitude, prices are definitely on the higher side but I won't complain since I looked up this place in hurry and thought I could get in and out with good service. Check out Neo's Nails, you won't regret it! Sue is the best manicurist I've ever had. The pedicures include fresh lemon or lavender and a massage - they set a timer to ensure you get your money's worth and can just relax and enjoy the vibe. If you're into gel or dipping powder, precision and elegant nails are key. They are always on point with the preferred nail shape you ask for too. Re: ambiance, Neo's is lovely - when you first walk in you're greeted by the sound of gently flowing water and an overall zen-like atmosphere. All staff are very professional, timely, and friendly. Neo's Nail Spa is located on the main drag of the Alameda. The nail shop can be missed while driving by but don't let that deter you from going. They've got a huge parking lot behind their nail shop! The interior is spacious. There's probably about 10 pedicure chairs and maybe 8 nail stations. The decor is a little dated and some areas of the nail shop is a little unclean but maybe a little sweep would clear things up a lot more. I was due for a pedicure so I figure why not try something new! I went in, filled out their sign in sheet, and only waited a couple minutes until a lady directed me to a chair. The whole experience was relaxing and the tech did a great job painting my nails. I liked that I saw each and every tool individual wrapped in its own sleeve. Seeing that assured myself that each tool was sanitized properly. I'd definitely come back just for their amazing food massages. I walked-out with jello feet cause it was that good haha. I was in the area for an appointment and I needed a pedicure so I decided to try this place. I booked online the day before and arrived earlier than expected. They were accommodating and I could pay AND tip using my debit card. I enjoyed my basic pedicure (I didn't have much time). I'll be back when I'm in the area. read more

Note-- they are no longer honoring the Yelp check in discount of 15% (seemed like it was put up there by a previous owner or something). In reading some of these reviews, seems like they are a bit polar (either five stars or one) -- is give it a solid 3 stars. I got a gel mani ($35 including tax not including tip). The cuticle job wasn't as great as I have gotten in other places but otherwise a solid and neat job. They took COVID precautions-- all we're wearing masks, doors were open, and there were protectant screens at each station. read more

The ladies over at Neo's nails spa always take care of me! When I go in they are always friendly and helpful. I usually make an appointment but even if I don't they are always able to take me as a walk-in. They have several colors to choose from and the women are very helpful if need help choosing a color. I've been going to Neo's since they were in their previous building. They have affordable prices and do a really good job. They've been able to do every design I've asked for. You can see my nails have lasted. These are my natural nails and they told me dip is the best way to keep it protected and long and it's the truth. My nails have lasted about a month and if it wasn't for the small chip thumbnail that just happened recently it looks still fresh. I will be scheduling my next appointment soon. I came by to Neo's for the first time today for a fill. There was a sign up sheet but I was seated right away! I was offered tea and water which I thought was a nice touch. Vicky did an excellent job on my nails. She took my almond shape and changed them to coffin. She took her time to make sure my nails were perfect and made sure I liked the color-- I loved the color! The owner, Su, checked in and made sure that everything was good- not in a hovering way but you could tell she takes pride in her business. I will definitely be back and will recommend them salon to others. read more

I came in after work kind of last minute. They were very accommodating to fit me in and were so welcoming. I was getting my nails done for a wedding & they helped guide me in what shape would look best for the style I wanted. I had a few broken short nails so they added tips so my nails would look evenly sized. I usually do gel manicures but they suggested I try the dip powder to help keep my nails strong and last longer. I was so impressed by the attention to detail and I was even more excited by how my nails turned out. I definitely will be returning to get this service done again. read more

What I asked for vs what I got. I've been coming here for over 2 years now and have seen Yen and Loan which they're great but today I saw someone else and she did a poor job. This is the second time this happened which the first time I did not complain but today was unacceptable. The lady redid them a few times and when I complained about the poor job to the boss she offered to "fix" them which clearly wasn't doable. So all they did was give me $5 off. Update. I regret paying the $20 to change my loud teal blue color to a more subtle hue. Shellac nails polish was placed on top as a cheaper and fast solution. I regret agreeing to try it out. Within 2 days the shellac nail polish started to peel off from the teal dipping polish. Did NOT look CUTE!! Ended up running to another salon for a whole new set of dipped nails since Neo didn't have an opening. RECOMMENDATION: Choose a color you know you can love for 3 weeks!!! Neo has the most color options I've seen so far. Update to owner. Below is my receipt. I was charged $20, than have $3 tip. read more

Okay I hate to give them 3 stars, but I can't help it. I had such great service the first time I came here a month ago. But now I see that they're no different than other salons who doesn't honor appointments. I had a 4:00 pm appointment today - I actually called yesterday for a 3:30 pm appointment, but they said they would have more time at 4:00 pm - for a mani/pedi. And it's 5:37 pm and they're not done with my pedi and I haven't even started my mani. They were so good having an automated text reminder sent about my appointment, but they couldn't even call/text that they're running 45 minutes late? I showed up at 4:00 on and can't even get one service done. Don't know if I'll be back. Only thing going for them is they have good COVID precautions and are very clean. But this wait time is ridiculous. read more

This place has my Covid approved stamp everything was completely sanitary everybody was wearing mask and it was so clean in there. It's been so long since I've had a basic mani pedi and decided to check this place out since it's walking distance from my apartment. Went early around 0915, employees were also heading in around that time sanitizing their work stations and prepping for the day. Walked in and signed in on the sheet of paper provided at the front desk, stations are maintaining the guidelines of 6 feet apart, employees wearing masks, sanitizers located at a wealthy amount throughout the up, dividers between when you're sitting on the massage chairs with the foot sinks and also the stations where you sit to get your hands pampered. My hands and feet are pretty beat up from using a lot of sanitizer on my hands, feet from wearing flip flops in SoCal for a majority of my life. Tina did a pretty nice job. Started off with my feet first, soaked them in warm water, used the buffer on my nails, cut them, cleaned any excess dead skin. I requested for the most basic mani pani, no lotion no massage and callus in addition. Mani pedi with callus coat a total of $60 which is an okay price being NorCal? Not sure haha but that's how much I paid. Manicure was pleasant. Gotta make sure I maintain my hands and feet better and am getting into a regimen where I go often. Hope this review helps. read more

This was my second time coming to this Salon, So very clean, there were 3 of us and we did not have an appointment yet we were accommodated. I had a nice pedicure and my 2 nieces both got there nails done . This will be our new go to place. I do not think they keep track of appointments and, if they do, I simply cannot imagine how. I have tried texting and the response I get every time is "ok", even if I ask a question in my appointment request. I've tried making an appointment online and the appointment slots are always available and open, which can't be true. While in the salon, I've seen them answer the phone when someone calls to make an appointment, they are always on speakerphone, and I have never seen anyone write anything down after the phone call, they say ok and then just continue to work. Out of the 5 or 6 times I've been here I have only been seen at the time of my appointment once. Once! I am often waiting 30-45 mins and I stay because I have a very tight schedule and make appointments on the only days I can. I'm currently sitting waiting for my 5:00 appointment and it is 5:40 and there are 5 others also waiting, though I don't know what time their appointments are or were. (At 5:06 my manicurist asked me to wait 15 mins and I said fine....but I ended up leaving at 5:45 because she was doing someone's pedicure.) I have always been happy with the services I've received here and their prices are reasonable, which are the reasons for the 2 stars, but I simply will not be back due to their constant lack of respect of "appointment times".

Today I got a pedi and medi done. It was my first time here, and I will never come back. I would have been more satisfied with just burning $40 in front of my face!!! My ring finger is bleeding. My nail polish has bubbles everywhere and towards the nail beds, there are chunks of skin, poking through the polish. They scrubbed my feet with hand soap. At the end, when I was all paid out and waiting for my friend. This lady comes up to me and sprays my hands with a gross cherry fragrance. I washed it off a few minutes later. And she comes up to me again telling me how I SHOULD NOT DO THAT when she sprays stuff on my body because it was stuff that made the polish dry faster. She was still talking and saying how it smelled good, and how I needed to leave it on. This really pissed me off. All I have to say is that I tipped $5 on the worst nail experience of my life. Imagine how much money they would have made off of me if they actually did an okay job? I was way to nice to complain. Telling people what to do is rude, and upsets them. This business does not care about their customers, or the quality of service provided. read more

I tried this spa after reading the reviews and deciding that they were worth the chance. I had been looking for a new nail spa for some time and loved that this one was in my area. I went in for my mani pedi and left very satisfied. The girls who helped me did a great job and my polished look great for weeks. I came back the following month and called ahead to make an appointment with the same girls. I was told to come in now and when I got there I was given some other girls. I was annoyed, but couldn't go anywhere else because I was in a hurry and needed my nails done for the weekend. The salon was empty when I came and I could see business is really struggling.They were desperately trying to get me to add on services to drive up the cost. I know that the economy is bad all over, but businesses should not be so desperate to make a dollar. read more

If i could i would give Neo's nails a 0 star because they don't even deserve 1 star. The service was ridiculous, rude girls, speaking vietnamese about their customers. As far as pricing goes, they do have basics but their upgrade was the same as their basics because i've had both and i couldn't tell much of a difference. I also came with a friend, which she got a full set of acrylic, her nail broke the very next day. The decorations of the place is just like another nail salon, nothing special, with rows of spa chairs. Unless you know vietnamese, i wouldn't go back to this place because they were definitely talking shit about their customers. My pedicure was rushed, the girl cut me and did not even apologize. I had such a horrible experience, i would kill any of my friends if they ever go to Neo's nails. I hate it!!!! read more

This message is in response to Louis P. that posted her review on March 26. Neo Nails on Leigh Ave and Neo's Nail Spa are NOT owned by the same owner. Neo's Nail Spa often told their customers that they are owned by the owner of Neo Nails on Leigh Ave. I wish they do not do that. It is so unethical and unproffessional to mislead the customers like that. First of all, it is uncool to take the same name, but never mind that, cuz the other salon did not registered or trademark their name so anybody can take the name and use it. However, to tell everyone that they are owned by the same owner to get the other salon's customers is just plain wrong. read more

This place is very clean and nice the environment is very relaxing a lot of room and space,the chairs are brand new so feels very comfortable , the staff here is very nice and friendly plenty of parking space, the staff can recommend the best design for you. One of my favorite is the coconut pedicure I been here once and i start coming back everytime i need my nails done. there is a lot of nails salon in san jose but this will probably been the cleanest one i been to. it has become my favorite and regular places to go now. Su the owner did my nails and one of her other workers she was young I didnt get her name but they did so good. My nails look beautiful, I love them I cant stop looking at them! They were friendly and took their time. I couldnt decide on colors and they were patient with me. They didnt ask what I wanted done to my manicure and just started cutting away after seating me. Lack of Communication with the client. So I grew out my nails for nothing. Also, they're used gel polish which doesn't last as long as the fake nails, obviously. BUT THE POLISH STARTED TO COME OFF Less than five days. Going back to getting my nails done on Meridian. On Merdian Ave their prices are a lot cheaper and your nails will last at least two weeks even with gel. read more

This place is by far my favorite place to come for my nails and pedi. I used to go once a week for my mani but now I have put acrylics back on so now I come EVERY 2 weeks. The staff is very friendly. Not the best but I've had worst. I paid $50 for a pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax. I thought the price was just a bit steep specially since I didn't get any gel or fake nails just a plain old manicure with color on my own nails.
