With so many Persian restaurants in the valley, choosing one can be tough -- but whether you're a lifelong fan or trying the cuisine for the first time, Nersses is worth a visit. The barg and koobideh were flavorful, the bread was freshly made, and the saffron rice was light and fragrant. Parking in that area of Glendale can be tricky, but Nersses has a small lot, and there's usually street parking close by. Great food, fair prices, and solid service... can't ask for much more than that.

My Persian friend told me about this restaurant and couldn't stop raving about it. I finally tried it, and he was right! This restaurant serves some delicious and amazing food! For appetizers we had the yogurt and cucumber dip and the eggplant dip. $9 each and it was served with bread, butter, raw onions, and basil. Delightful! My table mate and I wanted the lamb chops, boneless chicken, and luleh kabob (ground beef). The waiter created a dish with these three offerings. All three meats were absolutely delicious! My toes curled it was so good! I orders the yogurt drink with gas. Refreshing. Yogurt and cucumber: B Eggplant: B+ Chicken boneless: A+ Lamb Chops: A+ Ground beef: B+ Service was outstanding: A This is going to be one of my regular places to visit. Delicious!

Excellent food here. Plate of raw onion and basil set out first. Our Soltani Kabob and Luleh Kabob plates were enormous. We probably should've just split one. They were both delicious. Meats were tender and flavorful. Rice was awesome. The fresh bread was warm, and great. Service was good. The restaurant is in a 3 store corner mall, so the parking is really tight (lot is shared by a liquor store, a pizza place, a bar, and the restaurant). The inside is fairly basic but nice old photographs on the wall. Highly recommend.

Juicy and flavorful meat and their freshly hot taftan bread with the onion on the table was the perfect pairing. I liked that they gave a lemon to squeeze on my chicken kabob too- made it extra tasty. It's a small, cozy spot in Glendale. Good place to go without any fuss. The food definitely speaks for itself!

tried a little bit of everything pictured and overall it was a good spot for persian food. i would skip the stews and order the appetizers and kabob. there's a couple parking spots as its in a small shopping center

Hubby picked this place on our way to LA. It's a very small establishment in a very small corner "mall". Luckily, we got the last parking spot on the lot. There was only one table occupied when we walked in around 7pm on a Wednesday. Waiter is friendly and gives us a run down on all the kabobs. Hubby ordered the soup (Dizi) and three kabobs entrees for the 4 of us. They put the kabobs in the middle on a pizza stand. Then, they brought three plates of basmati rice. We then realized they put all three entrees onto one plate. It's shocking to see how small is the serving size of all three combined entrees. For a mom and pop shop setting, they are charging the nice restaurant pricing. Aside from the serving size and pricing, I would say the food does taste pretty good. It's similar to Shalizaar in Belmont, CA that is close to our home. I could only give it three stars as the food, serving size, and ambience do not equate to its high price. I would pass on this.

One of the best kabob places in LA, super authentic and fresh. They also bake their own bread which is really good.

Our waiter, Amen was fabulous. We wanted to try new appetizers, entrees and drinks so his suggestions were wonderful. The service he provided was perfect and we'll definitely be back to see him soon. The combo kabob platter with an upgrade of the filet was absolutely delicious. It's the next night that I'm writing this review but I'm still thinking of the tender meat and when I can go back to have it again. I always highly recommend their bulgur pilaf they do it so well. We also had the chicken shawarma platter. Each of these comes with a choice of a salad or hummus so we'll both got their fattoush salad because it's impeccable. And also ordered their jalapeño salad (it may be off of the menu but they still have it available) as well as their cheese borags. The pomegranate margarita was also amazing. Before I end my review I'd like to mention the beautiful renovation that has taken place since I've last been there. Not only have they spent a lot of money but the design was superb. It's super classy and it fit our date night perfectly. Thank you for having consistency and great quality food. See you soon!

Turmeric Braised Chicken - The dish was a bit on the basic end, not a lot of seasoning but you could taste the tumeric. Chicken was tender but slightly on the drier side which was a bit surprising considering it was dark meat (6.5/10) Kofteh Tabrizi - The tomato taste was prominent in the broth but the meatball itself was overly salty. The flavor was one note, I can't see myself ordering this again as I've heard this dish should have more complex flavors so I was disappointed (5.5/10) Kotlet Plate - As you can see from my picture, the kotlet was burnt beyond repair and I could taste the bitterness from the overused oil they used to fry it. I did like the yogurt spread and the pickles that came with it but I did not like the kotlet at all. We didn't bother asking them to replace it (4/10) Mirza Ghasemi w/ Barbari bread - The star of this whole experience was the Mirza Ghasemi, the roasted eggplant and tomato spread came cold and it was the most delicious thing we had. One of my friends vacuumed it right up before the rest of us could have seconds. Bread was a bit dry but it was a great vehicle for the Mirza (8.5/10) Lamb Gheimeh - Lamb was tender and it had some nice spices infused in there but it didn't wow me in any way (7/10) Sholezard - Our waitress brought over some complimentary Ceylon tea with the Sholezard which was kind. This rice dessert was not too sweet. The warmth and saffron ended our meal in a comforting way. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't get it again (7/10) +1 star for the service

I found this Kabab place which I wanted a non chain restaurant and when we got there, it was perfect. A small family owned restaurant and I would bet that he was the owner. I don't find pork dishes to often at Kabab places. It's the main reason I wanted to try this place. The older gentleman was great.
