I was looking for an affordable used convertible. I saw a 2013 VW EOS at Net Motorcars . I fell in love with it. However there were red flags at the start. When I asked if I could have a mechanic look at it, they said they don't usually do that. Red flag #1. What if there was a bumper to bumper warranty"? #2 For a cost of course but didn't mention that. #3. Many red flags after that. To make a VERY long story shorter: The car was burning oil. The oil light came on the first time I drove it after buying it. A mechanic told me to TAKE IT BACK. When I called and said I wanted to return it. Mike P, the salesman said "It's as is!" When I said. "Don't you stand behind your cars?" Mike C, the owner, said to bring it in. They will take care of it. Their mechanic looked at it. Told me it was the sensor. When I got it back, the light came back on. They said they put in the wrong sensor. I brought it back again. They put in another sensor. Meanwhile, I was checking the oil level and it was burning oil. Even though I told Mike C about it, I really don't think he believed me. When I tried to get it fixed, the warranty company said it was a preexisting condition and wouldn't cover it. Therefore I paid approximately $1000 to fix, the "pre-existing condition" that the "bumper to bumper warranty" didn't cover. The warranty was essentially useless. I lost over $400 on a warranty that I could not use. Essentially I received 90% back after 4 months, 1400 miles, and NO claims on a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty. Finally I realized I needed to sell it back. This time Mike C used the "wholesale" car-fax value, not the trade-in value. I had the car for 4 months. I only put 1400 miles on in that four months; I improved the condition of the car ($1000) ; gave them the extra key I had made ($180) plus they made LOTs of profit on me when I first bought it. Don't forget, it was a 2013! I ended up taking over a $5000 loss! On a 9 year old car! How much could a USED car depreciate in 4 months? When I brought all this to Mike's attention, he looked me in the eye and said multiple times, I'd love to help you but this is "BUSINESS." Yes, I could have sold the car privately at a higher cost. However, I chose to take a HUGE loss so I could sleep at night. My review would be quite different if Mike would have taken into account the repairs I paid for, the original profit he made on the sale, plus if he had based the return price on the trade-in value rather than wholesale. However, he repeatedly told me "it was business." Overall: they have beautiful cars in an awesome indoor showroom. I was treated with a reasonable amount of respect. Buyer beware: They didn't do anything technically wrong. Just make sure you have anything checked out before you buy. I wanted a convertible. I let my love for the car put blinders on. I'm so embarrassed to even being telling this story! I'm a much smarter consumer than this. Lesson learned. Hopefully you will learn from my mistakes based on this experience. Dan was great and really went the extra mile helping me out, answering every question, and generally doing everything a customer would want. Ultimately, I decided not to get the vehicle (not quite ready to buy). Dan was professional and didn't try to pressure. Michael agreed to return my deposit without any hassle. As a person who has never tried to buy a vehicle from another state, I was worried how things would go. Bought my first Jeep Wrangler here. 2 years ago I bought a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from these guys. In short the Jeep was awesome! Only had 60k miles drove great. 1 owner no accidents clean Carfax. When I arrived I've never seen a used car dealer so clean before. I mean this place was immaculate really impressive. The look of the establishment made a good impression on me. Made me think this place is really all about cars and selling a great vehicle. Did I mention the dealer was indoors? Really nice establishment that made the car buying experience great. Netmortorcars has high end vehicles intermediate and lower end vehicles to suit all car buyers. Definitely give them a look see if you're in the market for a used car. I'd been driving the Jeep pretty hard since 2017 with no major issues. the car was rust free and at first glance looked great. I'm a big White Sox fan so the color was exactly what I wanted. No major issues at, just minor. Had to replace a couple of air/tire sensors. Other than that car was fantastic! Why did I say was?! Well as we all know FCA in 2018 decided to surprise us all with the body style change of the wrangler so I had to have it. Traded the Jeep in. Got about $26k for it towards the JL. I believe I paid $33K for the JK. Got to admit had I known FCA was going to change I would have waited. The reason why I waited so long to do a review is because I don't believe in reviewing big ticket items right away. I must say though. I enjoyed the experience and the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE! What a horrible experience. Came in to test drive a car I saw on their website. Initially everything was great! We had an appointment with Heidi, our sales person, and Michael introduced himself. We chatted about what we were looking for, etc. Things quickly went downhill when I started asking Michael about issues with the car. First being that the side mirrors didn't work at all and the next being that the car was damaged when bringing it out for our test drive, the car was scratched down to the metal. When I questioned him, he got combative and told me that he would not fix the scratch and that if the mirrors weren't a fuse then I could just adjust them manually. After keeping my own composure, I stated that neither made sense. He got more heated and said they would fix the scratch but the color won't match. He was rude, talked down to me and walked away stating there were three people with appointments that next day so make a decision. I made my decision and walked out purely based on my experience and will never return. It's been a week, the car hasn't sold. Karma! I would like to say that Heidi, our salesperson was wonderful. It's too bad that because of this other gentleman, she is losing sales. read more

I began initial discussions of price on a 2010 Vehicle. The Black Book value was ~$13k; they were asking $14.5. A soon as I mentioned Black Book, the guy says "Black Book can't sell you a car" and just hung up the phone. What the idiot on the phone doesn't realize is that I may have been able to approach the $14k figure. But his absolute rudeness means the now, not only will I not buy that car, but I'll never approach that dealership again for so much as a stick of gum. I may even go online, get on Yelp and pile onto the numerous reviews that say what a lousy dealership this is and that you would do better thing your business elsewhere. What a moron... I reached out late Thursday night and by Friday morning I had a hold put on the car. She had the financing man Louis reach out to me and we set it up. Louis was awesome too. He gave me many options and was kept re-running the numbers every time I changed my mind or asked about a different scenario. Update: I do not appreciate the 5-10 calls a day, aggressive voicemails, texts, and threats to call my employer in response to this review. The fact that Mike not only looked up my personal information but also harassed me for several days AND looked up my employers information is beyond unprofessional. I will keep the records of voicemails, phone calls, text messages, and contact from my employer about this harassment, and if you attempt to contact me again, I will file a report with the police and BBB. You deserve this one star rating, especially after the way that Mike, the general manager, has behaved over the last several days. I never said anything about the wait time while purchasing my car. I I understand what the process of purchasing a car entails. What I did mention was the car sales man Mike's attitude. He and the other employee assisting me were visibly frustrated and aggressive with me throughout the process which was extremely uncomfortable for both me and my partner. The only reason I purchased the car from y'all was because I needed it within the week. As far as car registration is concerned, I SPECIFICALLY asked if I needed to do anything with the city of Chicago and was told a flat no. I'll mention again, that I trusted the answers I was given at the dealership and now have a $200 ticket to pay because of this. I received one phone call about my license plates from the dealership. I do work five jobs, so I was unable to pick it up. I returned the call a soon as I had an opportunity during business hours. I will happily provide the phone records of this if you are that concerned. Unfortunately, I requested to have the plates mailed to me at the time of purchase. I then had to call a half dozen times to actually receive them. Every time I called, I was assured that they were being put in the mail or someone was putting a note on them to be mailed. It took two months to finally receive them. This is my original review which I stand by. As a first time car buyer, I wish that this dealership had been a little more transparent. The salesman I dealt with was little more than shady from the second he put a contract in front of me. After an unsettling hour or so of signing paperwork, when I asked for the weather tech floor mats which were supposedly included and sitting in his office, I was told he didn't have them after all. It then took a little less than two months to receive my license plates which I originally requested to be sent to me but had to call a half dozen times to actually have them sent. Fast forward a month to a $200 ticket I just received for not having a city sticker. When I called to ask about it, one of the guys at the dealership let me know that they aren't responsible for city registration. Or informing me when I asked up front about it. I literally asked them if they were taking care of city registration when I purchased the car, and they said yes! They said they took care of all of the registration for me, & all I needed to do was put the plates on. Should I mention that my mechanic calls my car the ticking Fiat for the noise it's started making since I purchased it? Do NOT recommend!!! They refused to let us test drive without credit pre- approval first. Acted like we couldn't afford to purchase a car and were just there to joy ride in the snow. Who goes for a joy ride in the snow????? When we asked how we were supposed to buy a car without test driving it. The "boss" told us we could buy it and if there were any problems......???? The "boss" also told us their insurance doesn't cover test drives in snow.... You operate a car dealership in Chicagoland, that either means you're a liar or a fool. Either way we drove to Pugi in Downers grove, test drove not 1 BUT 2 cars and purchased from a great guy named Pete! Moral of this story, take your money somewhere that will appreciate it. read more

If you go here, use your due diligence. You take risks purchasing sight unseen. Do your own thorough inspection of the vehicle. Their indoor showroom is nice, but can make for a false sense of quality. They say they're not a "high" pressure sales dealership, well then maybe they're just a "pressure" dealership. Also check your contract thoroughly. They will try to sell you "gap" insurance. They may even say that it's "necessary", when it is not. Also, if you're from out of state, understand that purchasing in Illinois is riskier than a lot of states. These guys will also give you the 15 day 500 mile "warranty" guaranteed by the state of Illinois. Understand that is just the powertrain, and nothing else. As will be evidenced when you sign the "AS IS" disclosure. Most of their vehicles are over-priced based on the false sense of quality perceived from an indoor showroom and their inflated customer reviews. (Which prompted me to write this.) Buyer beware. p.s. the review by Becca seems pretty revealing. I spent over a year looking for just the right convertible. I finally found it at Net Motorcars. Honestly, I didn't pay attention to the type of dealership it was because I was focused on the car. So, I was a little surprised when I found myself in the middle of a business park with no sign of a typical car dealership in sight. I was pleasantly surprised when I went in to find all the cars in a spotless warehouse. My husband and purchased a car recently from Net Motorcars. We had been looking elsewhere and not finding what we wanted. What I want to say first is "Wow"! I haven't been treated this well in a very long time - especially when purchasing a vehicle. From the minute we stepped into the building, it was red carpet treatment. Found Net Motorcars while vehicle searching online. Was a little apprehensive since private used car dealers don't have the greatest reputation but they had the vehicle I wanted and the price was within reason based on other prices I researched. Also their internet site was good and pics of the facility looked different from other dealers so I took a chance and headed over. The warehouse is in an industrial area but don't let that bother you. It's sooo much better then a used car lot no pressure at all and everything is inside which makes it more comfortable to look around. I purchased a 2016 Fiat 500X. The vehicle was in great condition inside and out, looked like new. While a 2016 should look new only being 2 years old, what was nice to see was the whole indoor warehouse facility was super clean and every car no matter the year or mileage looked new great detailing on every used car. The other nice thing about this place beside what I've already said is the no-haggle pricing. If you do the research you will see that the pricing is very competitive. Again no pressure, of course they want to sell you something but you decide if you want to buy. Everyone here wants you to walk away satisfied. I was in and out with my purchase in two hours. It would have been sooner but I had a few more details to deal with on my end. Great experience, if I purchase another vehicle this will be the first place I'll look at and it should be yours to. I was looking for a relatively hard to find Porsche Cayenne Diesel last year. They're rare enough that they're in short supply locally, even in a sizeable city like Denver, so I expanded my search nationwide. Net Motorcars had just the right car, with the right package, color, etc. And Michael Colby was a straight shooter from the first time I spoke with him. After agreeing to a price over the phone and via many emails, I flew into O'Hare airport. Michael was already waiting for me and my wife, and he took us straight to his clean indoor showroom in Addison. The car was already prepped when I got there (he had even added diesel exhaust fluid after the sale so that I wouldn't be stranded on the 1000 mile drive back to Denver), and I was in and out in less than an hour. The car was immaculate, like his business, and there were no surprises. I've now had the car for a year and I can honestly say there is nothing he misrepresented. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned and I would buy another car from Michael in a second. I've never worked with a better car dealer. read more

I'm happy with my car and promised Mike a review so here goes: I was looking for a VW Eos and came upon the dealership through a CarGurus listing for a 2013 with 40k miles. The staff was very friendly - I did get a bit of a patronizing vibe as a woman buying a car alone until I mentioned that I've written for Automotive News - but having worked in the industry, that's not new. The purchase process was very smooth. I did ask about having my mechanic look at the vehicle. They were not opposed but the logistics of that would have been really disruptive so I opted to go with the very detailed and clean maintenance record they provided from CarFax. No regrets there after a month of driving it. Pricing was okay. They are firm on pricing - no negotiation whatsoever. I truly felt the car should have been priced about $1500 less but since I know I'll pay off the financing ahead of schedule, I'll recoup that. There was a crack in the rear bumper and Mike sent it out to his bodyshop for repair at his cost, which was a nice gesture. The only downside to the entire purchase was the morning after I completed the contract and my car went to the body shop for the bumper repair, I got a call from another dealership I'd previously visited and they just got in a 2014 Eos with 20k miles priced $1500 less - the exact amount I thought I should have paid for the vehicle I bought. Timing is everything and I like my car so nothing to dwell on. The only downside to the vehicle itself is it was listed as having a USB port but actually has the VW to 30-pin port (like an old iPhone) which I didn't notice until I went to plug in my phone to drive away. I'd already purchased "as is" and signed off that I'd inspected the vehicle - I was more focused on brake pads and electronic function and never looked at the port. Disappointed that it wasn't as advertised but I own that oversight and it wouldn't have been a deal-breaker anyway. Bottom line I'd buy from these guys again if they have what I want in stock, and I'd just be more careful to look at the listed amenities as carefully as I did the mechanics of the vehicle. read more

Really amazing showroom with nothing but quality cars and trucks. You can be sure all the inventory is excellent quality with a clean record. I am a stubborn buyer and these guys put up with me. I'm sure at the end of the day it was a win win for both of us. I couldn't be happier with my F150 king Ranch I got from them, it was fair priced and they gave me a decent amount for my trade in, I got better offers elsewhere but there's was reasonable. To sweeten the deal they offered to fix some minor cosmetic issues for me such as refinishing the front bumper and they are also going to cover the cost of installing a new exhaust. I opted for the extended warranty even though it was a bit cheaper elsewhere, I liked that I could roll it into my financing. The financing guy Chris is on top of it and makes things happen!
