I'm an intermediate rider whose put on quite a bit of weight the last two season. I just bought my second Never Summer plank. It's 2cm longer than the first and a touch stiffer. When I received it, although it's a beaut, I was concerned I had made an error since my riding style favors a slightly smaller board than I "should" ride and this would be the longest one I've ever owned. I sent them a chat at 6:30 their time on the Saturday night before New Years. I had a live person within 10 minutes, and they contacted the marketing director. A few questions and they confirmed that I should be fine, why the new board was a good fit, and assuaged any concerns that I had about the returning it for the next size down (which they were happy to do) I had three of the best seasons ever on my first Never Summer, and am stoked to add a new one to the quiver. Taking it out in a couple of weeks and can't wait. I have a couple of other stories about how they consolidated gear orders and refunded shipping without any fuss, the socks they sent me w/o charge in one of my orders, stickers galore, etc. read more

Shady company that supports liars and cheaters. I would never recommend them. Their boards suck and break easily. Designs are crap and unoriginal. Also, I came into the store about a month ago. One of the guys working there starting calling me racial disgusting names. Stated that I don't know anything about snowboarding. I've been snowboarding for over 30 years. A group of us went to Colorado for a snowboarding trip. One of the guys bought a Never Summer board and wanted to take a tour. The warehouse is located in Denver. Every board is handmade, never new so much work it took to make a board. It's pretty impressive the technology NS puts into a board. We were able to see the whole process which was neat. After this trip, a bunch of us bought a NS board. I bought the NS Revolver, awesome board. Makes riding a whole new experience. read more

So I drank the Never Summer Kool-aid and it is super tasty and strawberry flavored. Chris from NS had a demo tent at Sierra at Tahoe over MLK weekend. Wife rode an Infinity and a Pandora and loved them both. The RC tech really suited her riding style and she immediately jumped on it and took off. Absolutely killed it on her first ride on a RC board. I took an Evo just for fun, wanting to try out something besides the SLR and the Revolver, neither of which I liked last year. Holy Hell is the Evo fun. I had a blast on it and it was pretty damn stable at speed as well. We went out and bought a 158 Evo and a 145 Infinity. Absolute blasts to ride. Glad I gave them another shot after last years demos. Chris is a great guy and hella funny, too. read more

I've been a Never Summer customer for 20 years. After making the decision to switch over from skis, I demo'd a number of boards before settling on the Never Summer Premier model. It's still in great condition. When I chose to update to something lighter a couple of years back, I added two arrows to my quiver; a Proto 2 for freeriding and a West for powder days. There are tons of great snowboarding companies out there. In fact, I'd say every single company that I've dealt with has been pretty cool as far as customer service goes. That all being said, Never Summer recently earned another point in my book. For those who do not live in CO or patrol snowboarding forums relentlessly, Never Summer is a snowboard company based out of Denver, CO. They're one of the few companies that build all of their boards in the US still (the other two that come to mind are Signal and Mervin). They have a fairly rabid following in CO and I haven't read a bad review online yet. Demand for their products has been kept at an all-time high, with stock running out by mid-season. I haven't seen any that have made it to the spring "clearance" sales. The vast majority of their business is all pre-book. This is all even crazier considering that most of their boards are $500+. They don't have a single "beginner" or budget level board. Their most notable contribution to date was their patented (as of last season) invention of the rocker camber. Mervin calls this "C2" in their lineup. Good guy NS has never demanded licensing fees from Mervin. Oh and they have an industry leading 3 year warranty on their boards. I loved it but then sold it to specialize further with two separate boards. I picked up an Elan for park riding and wanted something for free ride. Ended up grabbing a NS Heritage mid-season. I rode it 3 days and it was pretty beat up. This season has not been kind to us and there are plenty of rocks hanging out. I called up NS to see if they would be able to do any of the repairs to the edge. I know impact damage isn't covered by their warranty and but would be happy to pay the repair costs. I dropped off the board and they said it'd be 1-2 weeks with the backlog of repairs they were doing (rock seasons sucks for everyone). I was pretty happy just with that, but then they told me I could borrow a loaner board while mine was being worked on. Totally wasn't expecting that. I told them I'd feel bad if I ended up dinging up the loaner. They said these things happen and they make/repair boards, no biggie. Too cool. Also, I got to meet their master tech who'd be performing the board surgery and they asked what my thoughts were on their boards I had demo'd. It is worth noting that even with their tremendous growth in the past 3-4 years, they are still a rider based company at heart. Their snowboards are very good, but there are plenty of companies that make very good snowboards. It's instances like this where their level of service have won me over and I don't worry about the premium price at all. read more

Just want to add: I contacted Never Summer by email to tell them how satisfied I was with "Emma", my 2010 Heritage, and they responded by sending me a box of schwag--stickers, a beanie, T-shirt. I have since converted my entire crew to NS boards, representing 6-8 deep when we all go up at once. The day I was in Denver and wanted to take a factory tour, they had to cancel as it was season ramp-up and they were too busy. A few days later, Vince emailed me to apologize, gave me his CELL # and said they'd roll out the red carpet next time. I plan to take them up on that. We had a factory tour with Laura today. She was the most down to earth wonderful person ever! She was full of product knowledge and really showed us how the snowboards are made. We now have a new found appreciation for all the boards and everyone who works there. My husband and I jointly own a Porto HD, Chairman, Infinity, and Raven. We been riding them for years. I was sold on Never Summer before I ever saw one. Back in 2006 I was checking out boards in a Joe Jones shop in NH and the sales guy, who was 6'+ and well over 250 lbs, said to me, at 6'5", 245 lbs: "The board you need, we don't have, it's called Never Summer...us heavy guys need this kind of board, its indestructable, very stiff and a much better ride than anything else out there." He rode one himself and I knew he was onto something. Luckily, I saw a Never Summer Legacy 166 at the Boston Ski Expo that fall and picked it up for under $400. Eight years later it has lasted longer than all my other snowboards combined and it still the best ride I've ever had...its like a Mack Truck of a snowboard, perfect for handling the weight of heavy riders. I recently picked up a Wave Rave Steepwater, build similar and 13 cm longer. That board has been solid so far, too. read more

I had heard a few random things about NS boards and how great they are. I did further research and it turns out these guy are among the elite of the elite board makers. They just don't spend s ton of money telling everyone that. I bought one this year while at Whistler (exchange rate is amazing). Wow, what an incredible board. I bought the 2016 Cobra and man riding this board changed everything for me. I have been riding for 15 years and have owned many boards, but this board was instantly game changing. I am so confident on this thing. I can charge so hard without any instability and the board floats through powder. Impossible to catch an edge. The board grips ice like the board has spikes coming out of it. I think you all get the point. Truly the best board I have ever owned by far. read more

I came across Never Summer Reviews, by chance, on yelp. I figured I might as well give my review as well. For all of you that don't know, take it from me and RIDE A NEVER SUMMER!. I have been riding Never Summer for 20 years. I own 4 right now. I have had many surgeries over the last few years and the only thing that got me through all the physical therapy and pain was riding a Never Summer and doing it with my young kids. I can say it was easier to ride than walk. Never Summer boards make you a better rider. You may have heard that before but it is true! You can actually feel the boards helping you get in and out of your turns. The Chairman does such a great job at absorbing everything you don't want your knees to. It is my favorite to date. It handles everything and then demands more. Standing on a Never Summer gives me the confidence needed to handle any situation that comes up. No matter what the conditions are, I know my boards have it covered. I just relax and let my Never Summers do all the work. Seriously, I don't work for Never Summer and I never have. I just believe in them with everything I am. I believe the first one I had actually saved my life in the trees. I live & have been riding for 25 years in UTAH. I had some time to kill while working in Denver. I called NS & asked if they did tours, they said sure come by. What an absolutely AWESOME AMERICAN snowboard company! I worked in a board shop while in school for 4 years, I know my stuff, I've been a NS fan, but I was so impressed with the incredible detail they put into all 25,000 boards they make per year. They were all so cool, & welcoming totally down to earth. I took pics, asked tons of questions, swapped stories and opinions. In a time when customer service is only as good as the time it takes for the vendor to lighten your wallet, Never Summer steps up and does good for the little guy. I was shopping boards two years ago and was all set to go with a Burton when a rep at Jack's Board house in Oregon told me all about the boys in Colorado and the quality of there product and service. With two seasons under my belt I can attest to the awesome board that has been my favorite by far. As for the service part...After exiting a 8' retaining wall in Mammoth and landing on the street below (Yep, pretty dumb move) but much to my surprise the board did not explode on impact and after speaking with Vince at NS they said send it back and I bet we can make it good as new (In the original place it was crafted, not China) Not only did they do what they said they would do but they cleaned up the bottom refreshed my edges, waxed her up and sent it back via Fed-X for only $65. I've ridden my new never summer west twice and cant begin to tell you how amazing it is. The new ripsaw profile makes the board so responsive. A big upgrade from my last board. As far as the warranty and customer service goes, i was blown away. I had a chip on my board so I brought it in to the warehouse. Not only was it fixed within 2 days, they gave it a wax and a tune up on the house! Vince was an awesome dude. Incredibly helpful and spent time helping me adjust my stance and sharing some advice. The visit totally reaffirmed my decision to pick up a Never Summer board and I would highly recommend to anyone! read more
