I practically live here. It's such a good market and we stop in to stock up at least once a month. Usually more. I can almost always find what I need here. Some Korean ingredients, some Japanese, Chinese. It's all in one convenient spot. They're well stocked on any buns and dumplings you'd need, veggies not carried in chain grocers, fresh meat and seafood, condiments for days. Teas, dried herbs, noodles, fresh baked goods, snacks, utensils and cookware. There's a lot packed into this little shop. The aisles can feel cramped at times, so patience is key. Take your time, maybe you'll discover some new! I really love the convenience of pre-sliced meats for cooking hotpot. Pre-packaged soup bases are also amazing. I'm a fan of little sheep brand. They also carry my favorite brand of milk tea from Japan. The wall of ramen is also impressive, as there are many varieties to choose from. read more

Pretty solid Asian supermarket. If you're not familiar with an Asian market, then it may feel disorganized but that's how they usually are. There's a solid selection of frozen dumplings, produce, and sauces. However it still felt a little limited compared to other stores per other reviewers. I haven't been here in a while since I found a closer Asian market to home (Mo's), and it was a pleasant experience to come back. The store was well stocked with fresh produce despite it being a Tuesday (Asian groceries tend to stock later in the week, and Mondays and Tuesdays generally have the worst produce). They seem to have switched their bakery provider since the last time I had picked up some pork buns. So much better, that I upped their rating ^^ Everything was well labeled. My pet peeve with smaller grocery stores, while I understand the difficulty, is missing price tags. This store had no such problems. read more

I recently discovered this supermarket and found the produce not too fresh. It's a good size store but things were unorganized. I find it hard to locate pricing and things are labeled properly. I learned the owners are Chinese while checking out. I'm glad there are a couple of other Asian stores nearby for fruits and veggies. read more

Family vacation 2021...bringing the California variant of COVID-19 to your city. New Asian Supermarket...they one upped the Asian markets in Southern California for COVID prevention. In Southern California, we only require masks. New Asian Supermarket requires masks and gloves. Even on vacation, we needed our Asian items. New Asian Supermarket is a typical mom and pop store. I was surprised to see that they stocked many of the items that I see every weekend in the Southern California Asian supermarkets. The prices seemed comparable to what I normally pay. I was able to speak to a nice young man in the market. It seemed like his parents owned the market. He was nice and friendly. Speaking to him reminded me of how I used to work in my parents market. It's a good market. If I lived in the area, they would be my go to market for Asian products. read more

Unlike most people we thoroughly enjoy grocery shopping and ethnic stores are always preferred. It is like taking a trip to a new land. New Asian Supermarket is one of a handful in the Milwaukee area that we recommend. Great selection and prices on spices and condiments as well as mushrooms, bean sprouts, bok choy, pea pods, etc. Definitely the place to come if you are looking for hot pot ingredients, as well as pot stickers and the selection of ramen noodles and teas is insane. Also a fun place to bring kids because it is like going to the pet store with all the fish tanks, live crabs and frogs. It is also entertaining to see some of the items for sale, like chicken feet and pigs blood. I love me my ethnic stores and this one has been past by thousands of times and I eat a JJ Chen's like 5 doors down so today when I saw it I stopped by. I'm hankering to make Shrimp and Shrimp Dumpling Pho/soup thing for a while so I stopped for ingredients. The place is bigger than I expected on the inside and well rounded with Asian items from fresh seafood on ice, fresh produce, frozen meats galore, dry goods, live seafood in tanks which I felt sorry for, fresh meats getting butchered, and an amazing frozen section. The fresh baked sweets looked good but I just can't get the sweet tooth thing up and running. The one thing that I was limited to not trying was pictures on packages with Asian writings so I had no idea what it was to even try it or how to cook the dishes. Overall I found this Asian store to be one of the best well rounded stores of its kind and I would highly recommend stopping by the next time an Asian dish is coming from your kitchen. read more

Clean, well organized, and surprisingly complete in selection of dried, frozen, and fresh foods. Not the biggest Asian grocery store in the Milwaukee area but probably the best overall in terms of quality and freshness. If you live in the northern suburbs of Chicago, this is worth a visit for some brands you may have never seen before. There's fresh fish, lobster, and other seafood -- which seem to be better than what you'll find in most Chicago Chinatown grocery stores with a great selection of frozen Prime Food items. They also seem to carry more varieties of pears than H-Mart. Best of all, they are probably the only Asian grocery store for many miles to carry Chiu Quon baked goods. Definitely worth a visit if you live anywhere near the Milwaukee area. read more

Instead of driving to " China Town " to shop at a " typical Asian grocery store ". I can just drive 15 minutes away. This location carries items that you will never be able to find at an " American grocery store " If you are expecting " a clean " store with extra wide aisles this store will not be for you. read more

Awesome supermarket. Has everything you need for stocking up on groceries. A large selection of frozen, produce, and non-perishables. If you haven't been to this grocery store before, check it out. I went there to get some live crab and they wouldn't even serve me. The guy didn't even speak English, he shook his head no and waved me off and ignored me. I've been looking for a solid Asian supermarket after moving to Milwaukee, which is pretty difficult. My benchmarks for a great Asian supermarket: 1. Cleanliness - I grew up going to a HK Food Market where there was a aisle that my sisters and I had to hold our nose to run past... there's always that one aisle in a supermarket, but when the whole place smells funky... no thanks. 2. Quality of the goods - Do I have to check for the expiry date on EVERY item?? 3. Variety of goodies - Can I find items from Philippines, Vietnam, China, Japan, Korean, India, etc? Fresh options? Frozen options? Canned items? Dried items? Snacks? 4. Random cookware and imported goods - I always spend so long just browsing. 5. Immediate enjoy goods - Any bakery or drink options? In the huge supermarkets, it can be the seafood! (I was recently in one where they prepared the fish up to even deep fry for you! So amazing.) So this place meets #1-#4 for me which makes sense given it's still a mid size market. I'm super happy to find that I can shop for all of my Asian shopping needs in one store with even being able to get some fresh veggies! (I'm mostly shopping for Filipino and Korean meals as it's easier to find at least some Chinese items generally. The kimchi from here was great!!!) Only con we encountered was that the register was a pretttty slow (only one was open initially and a huge line formed of at least 6 family/couples/individuals on a Sunday afternoon). read more

Very rude, when I call to inquire about blue crabs she says "you come early you too late" then hung up phone in my face. When I call back to ask questions about when will they have more in & if they are "fresh" live or frozen. She says same before I can answer & hang up phone. I will not be spending money here. This is one of my go to asian stores whenever I'm in the area... it's a bit far from me .. about 50 min. I think the Owner of this place is from Fuzhou area.. so they have more Fuzhou products. I wish they would have a larger section for the meats and wish that some meats aren't frozen. Otherwise, I don't have any complaints. read more

New Asian Supermarket is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. Besides live and frozen seafood, fresh and frozen vegetables as well as prepared items, the store is truly international in it's stock of canned bottled and dried items. Mostly though, I just feel welcomed by the kind people there and am happy to get my favorite Korean Kimchee. Plus they offer cutlery and cookware to boot! I got a nice cleaver at a great price and will be back for a new electric Rice Cooker. Even if you're not into Asian, there are staples most corner stores might offer. If you are in West Allis around 108th and Oklahoma, it's in the little mall NE corner. TRY IT! read more
