Worst Chinese food my family and I have ever had. Everything we ordered didn't taste fresh. The shrimp in the Walnut prawn dish were covered in some kind of thick batter, almost like a corn dog. New China has new owners and a new menu since July 2017. Just tried Mongolian beef for lunch, it was excellent. My wife had szechuan kung pao chicken and enjoyed that as well. The curry in the curry chicken seemed like just a-mix of water and powder put together at the last minute. The almond chicken was more like chicken nuggets that were thawed. Last Christmas (December 2020) was my first time trying this place and let me just say, that they were open and serving on Christmas day made my day, because facing lockdown and not wanting to cook, Chinese food sounded so good. He ordered the beef noodle soup and the broth tastes like what I'm pretty sure old dirty dish water tastes like. And the piece of beef I tried felt like I put a luggie/snot ball in my mouth. (sorry no pictures) My only tiny issue was, I asked for my fried rice dark (extra dark soy and oyster sauce when cooking) I am very much aware of the saltiness of it, I like it like that. The hostess warned me that it will be very salty and I thought I assured her that I know what I want. It was not salty ..... I like my fried rice salty. Don't get me wrong, it was good... but was not the way I wanted it. I added my own soy and sauce but it's so much better when added during the cooking process. First time I've found good Chinese food since I moved to the Lake Stevens/ Everett/ Mill Creek/ Bothell area. Solid flavors and portions were right for the price. They are very friendly, even from the 3 mins I spent on the phone ordering and then running in to pick up. The egg rolls weren't the best I've had, but again, solid food and flavor. I purchased the General Tso Chicken Dinner Combo for 8.95 and, it was really amazing! The chicken was crisp and the sauce very tasty as well. Just had the white rice with the entree, but next time I'll substitute it out for 1.50 and get the chow mein. I also order the crab puff appetizer for 6.95, which was as well very good.
