We sat upstairs in the brewpub area. We would have preferred a regular table, but it seemed like they really wanted to seat us at a high-top. I didn't feel like pushing back, so we took it. I assumed maybe they were trying to keep the four-top regular tables open, but by the time we left, the high-tops were full and the regular tables were still empty. Maybe there was a reason for it, but it made the seating feel a little odd. For food, I split the meatball appetizer and the tarragon chicken salad sandwich with another person. Both were good. The meatballs were golf-ball sized and served in a small skillet of marinara with two slices of bread. No complaints on taste or quality. The sandwich was also solid and about what I expected from the menu. That said, the pricing felt a little high for what we got. The sandwich was $14 and did not include a side, and the four-meatball appetizer was also $14. Again, the food was good, but it was definitely on the pricier side. I also had the cream ale and the blonde ale. I don't remember the exact prices, but they seemed in line with the styles and I enjoyed both. My biggest complaint was the 3.99% credit card surcharge. That seems steep, especially at a restaurant where lunch can already add up quickly and most people probably aren't carrying enough cash to cover a full meal. To their credit, there was ample signage about the surcharge, so it was not a surprise at checkout. Still, at this price point, adding nearly 4% for using a card left a bad impression. Without the surcharge, this probably would have been a 4-star experience for me. The food and beer were good, and I did not have any real complaint about the quality. But the surcharge, combined with the slightly odd seating experience and higher prices, brings the overall visit down to 3 stars. Overall, I'd consider going back, but the seating experience and credit card surcharge would make me think twice.

We were seated immediately, drinks started before we even settled completely, and dinner served within 15 min of ordering. All meals complete and served together. The food was fantastic as well. Large portions, fair pricing, and perfectly plated. We shared the General Tso's Cauliflower appetizer - wow - tasty with just the right amount of spice. We each had a different entree, mostly pub fare like the margherita pizza, rockfish tacos, salmon BLT, chicken salad wrap, and buffalo chicken wrap. And one guest had the salmon platter. All delicious! Normally we'd go for salads but with the current lettuce crisis, no one wanted to risk it. Will definitely try those when it's safer. Building and grounds are lovely and we got a few peeks at the large event space as a wedding party entered. It's truly beautiful and we'll definitely be back.

We had to ask for silverware after our food came out. Husband asked about gravy & the waitress said she would check but she never brought it up again. I ordered the pub burger, no tomato. It is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato, & pickles. It came with 1 piece of wilted floppy lettuce, tomato seeds (clearly had a tomato which was then removed), & no pickles. Asked the waitress for pickles, which never came. The burger itself had good flavor, but it was just the burger and bun. My husband ordered the boom boom shrimp, and bacon wrapped meatloaf; he said his food was good not great. Our kids ordered cheese pizza, & fish n chips. They both liked their meals. The bill came on a handheld. When my husband asked to review the itemized receipt, she said she could print it out, and then prompted him to pay. After he paid & tipped, she told him to have a good night & walked away. We spent $130 including tip. We never got an itemized receipt. We will not return.

The restaurant is always extremely clean and decorated very nicely. They have a very nice menu and the food selections are perfect. We ended up going with the steaks and I ended up getting the steak and shrimp dinner and as always, the food comes out steaming hot very well prepared to perfection in our steaks you could not ask for it being better prepared. They just melted in your mouth. I had to come back and edit my review. I almost forgot about their French onion soup, which is amazing. This is a very nice restaurant it's been around for ages and you can tell that the owner and the staff take a lot of pride and maintaining such a high quality atmosphere and service. We look forward to coming back here on a Friday night to wearing length to try their various seafood platters which we heard are simply outstanding. The quality of their steaks is excellent and, as said, they are always cooked to perfection, so juicy and flavorful. My husband loves their steak and shrimp combo! The service is also "top notch". They are always so accommodating/friendly. Our waitress answered a question for us about seafood during the Lent season. They have a broiled or fried seafood platter (always on the menu) which she says is a big seller, also a fried fish dinner on a Saturday. The atmosphere is very nice, always so clean. I really liked the batter on the onion rings as I think it was executed perfectly and they helped to save the rest of the dish. Altogether, I'd enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. While one dish was lacking, the appetizer and my drink weren't. The prices were alright, a little steep but nothing I couldn't handle.
