I'm sorry, this is 2018, almost 2019. It's not acceptable to take cash only, unless you're a money laundry operation. So cleaning one white t-shirt was $8 which is already overpriced in my opinion (so definitely should cover the credit card charge), but to then make me drive around chasing ATMs because you can't run debit cards or credit cards for anything less than $10 is ridiculous. The person I dealt with almost made an exception but because "it was my first time" as a customer she decided against it and told me I can just have the leftover $2 as credit. Yeah, no thanks. That would imply I'd come back which is the opposite of what I'm going to do in the future. This is the closest cleaners to my house but I'm definitely not interested in using them again. read more

I called them at 7:10pm to ask about last minute alterations. they told me to come in and they'd fix it right away.. 30 minutes later, i was in the shop getting my halloween costume altered. Great prices and fantastic work! I've been going there for a couple of years and this week I brought in something particularly tricky -- a 5-lb batch of whites that had been stained by that solitary black cashmere sweater that accidentally got in the wash. This is one of only a few cleaners in the area that has the new German wet cleaning machinery that replaces dry cleaning for most purposes with a process that does not use toxic chemicals. I love Yelp (the good and the bad)! Ok I got a bad stain on my favorite suit last week. I didn't think it would ever come out so I took it to my regular dry cleaners. They didn't want to touch it and told me "don't waist your money" I was driving by this place "New Image Cleaner" and said what the heck. they tole me they don't promise me any thing but they will try to clean the stain. went back 3 days later and sure enough the stain was 100% gone! So I brought in seven shirts, got six back and had to tell them to get my other shirt. I gave them pants to clean, they tried to give me back a different crappier pair. My boyfriend tried this place last week because it was open til 8 pm and it's down the street from us. It's so cheap too! He said they were super nice, but noticed that his suit now has some loose strings. I'm prefacing this review by saying that their dry cleaning is fine. I had an average experience. However, my partner had his tailoring completed here on about 5 shirts: 1 he cannot wear anymore because it is too small and there isn't enough fabric to let it out. The tailoring on the other 4 shirts is terrible quality and he took everything to Murat's European Tailoring on Pico instead. Murat's did an awesome job. read more

I've had a bridesmaid dress hemmed and tailored here and they did beautiful work, so I knew I was going to go back when it came time for the next alteration. Fast forward a year and I have a dress that needed to be altered at the VERY last minute. Renato the tailor was very accommodating and told me that he would not only be able to complete the job, but that he wouldn't be taking any shortcuts with it, which gave me peace of mind. Not only that, Irma was so sweet and helpful when I told her the next day that, pathetically, I had given her the wrong pick-up date. I was looking for a cleaners to take my silk wedding dress witch unfortunately was stained with cake all over the bottom area, I was frustrated because I thought that was going to be impossible to get rid of the stains left on my dress. I came here after reading the reviews here, and the first time I wasn't disappointed. The next couple of times, they got out the spots that had been on the clothes when I brought them in, BUT -- they managed to get NEW spots on everything! These were white spots on dark-colored silk blouses, which were ruined as a result. Obviously I won't be going back. read more

I had a great experience with this place. I brought in a dress I purchased a vintage silk Halston gown that was about four sizes too big for me and needed it tailored in less than a week for an event. The dress was gathered all along the side, making it difficult to tailor (with no zipper). The tailor somehow found a way to keep the original shape of the dress, and altered it to fit me like a glove. My only issue with the experience was the price - I found it to be a bit on the high end for the work. I'll return - I'm hoping I get a better price next time :) Thanks! read more

I normally wear jeans and t-shirts. I normally don't buy "dry clean only" clothes. I normally wash the "dry clean only" clothes I do own with my jeans and t-shirts. New Image Cleaner makes me want to buy and dry clean more "dry clean only" clothes. I have used them for dry cleaning, hemming (jeans and slacks), and repair. There prices are reasonable--$6 to hem my pants. Their work is thorough--they mended a tear so it was invisible and sturdy. Their service is exceptional--they will clean your clothes overnight if you need it the next day for no extra charge. I am always smiling when I leave. read more

I have been to so many tailors in LA and this place is by far the best. They understand immediately what needs to be done and are friendly and positive about it. They've even gotten things to me the very next day when I was in a jam. All other tailors I have gone to argue about what has to be done and make such a big deal out of it. It's all just standard alterations, nothing crazy but they are all always so negative about it and rude or insanely overpriced and need 2 weeks. Did an amazing job cleaning a dress of mine which had some fingerprint (makeup) stains! The first time around, I still noticed the stains, however, staff was more than willing to take a second crack at it. What I loved is that they made sure to let me know that they would be gentle with the second attempt so as not to ruin the fabric of the dress. It was much appreciated! read more

I work in the apparel industry and I am very, very picky about the way my garments are treated. I've been to a few places over the years and this place is by far the best. My clothes come back beautiful and packaged with care. The best part is the customer service. They make sure you are taken care of, help you carry the garments to your car if needed (I usually go when I run out of stuff to wear) and make sure you are completely satsified with their service. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I started coming here after moving into the area back in late 2014. At that time a lovely man known as Cisco was working there he was charming, prompt, and always handled my clothes with care; even offering discounts once and a while. Flash forward to December 2015 the new image cleaners hired new people and possibly got new management. Before a very important business trip to London I had all my suits blouses and slacks brought to the cleaners in hopes of getting them back in mint condition. After three days I was called to pick up my clothes only to find once returning home that I had four pieces of someone else's expensive clothing as well as 5 to 6 pieces of my clothing missing. I called the cleaners and the manager picked up who then said it was not his fault and blamed his new hire employee. As I was leaving for London the next day I had no time to argue and asked him to come pick up the unfortunate customers clothes and return mine. He never showed up that night and I had to go to London with six pieces missing. During my trip I realized that he had missed placed more than six pieces including a $400 rag and bone sweater. Upon returning a month later I went to the cleaners who then had all my pieces with them. This review is not to bash anyone but to simply warn people that this is not a professional work environment and I would hate for anyone to loose precious items. If you care for your clothes I would refrain from going there again especially if the items mean a lot to you as they don't seem to treat it with the same care. read more

I had a recent bad experience at Crown Cleaners in LA, and turned to Yelp for help. New Image was highly rated, and for good reason. They were nice, they were on time, and they charged a great price to hem three pairs of pants, even giving a slight volume discount of their already good prices. Futhermore, one pair was too long when I tried it on, so there was no problem for them to re-do at no charge. It was hassle-free and refreshing. The tailoring work was very good too. I rarely if ever dry clean my clothes. I tend to be a spot cleaner/fabreeze sprayer when my dry clean only stuff needs TLC, but I had several items that I could not tend to myself, so I walked the few blocks to New Image. I brought them two coats and two dresses. The two coats were generically dirty--voila, now they're clean. (One of the coats has several mysterious and small paint drops? The paint drops aren't gone post-cleaning, but much smaller.) The dresses--one had a tear under the armpit and the other had a grease stain on its silken self. The stain is gone, the armpit is fixed, and they reinforced the other side just in case I want to fling myself across a room while wearing delicate vintage fabric again. No more will my clothes be subjected to my mediocre sewing skills! All this, and my final price was about thirty bucks--way less than the previous dry cleaners I have visited. Great shop. read more

Brought in a silk dress with a stain on the front. They didn't get the stain off, and left a ring of cleaning fluid around the stain. I brought it back in, and they removed the ring, but not the stain. Stains on silk are tough, so maybe this wasn't their fault. read more

I was a loyal customer of New Image Cleaners, however, after a few months I noticed tears in my pants. Same 3-4 (evenly spaaced) 1/2 to 1 inch tears. It wasn't until I brought in a blouse to be dry cleaned (had only worn once or twice) from a top designer that when I got it out to wear did I notice the same design in 3-4 1 inch tears under the sleeve. When you bring the cloths in to the shop they will point out any lost buttons or tears etc. When I picked up the blouse there was no mention of the tears. They attempted to charge me $10 to mend. When I spoke to the manager he denied any wrong doing and said "it doesn't make a difference in how much I spent on the top that it was made of poor materials. BS. I just want to warn anyone who is thinking of this cleaners to think twice. Unless you don't care if your clothing comes out damaged, think twice about a place that may charge 50 cents less to have your nice clothes cleaned. I'll NEVER go back ! read more
