The Paneer Marsala was delicious. The waiter friendly was friendly and the food was hot and served very promptly.

This is a great place for Indian food! One of the best in Columbus for sure. All the dishes are really great from apps to mains to breads. The service was very friendly and quick. The restaurant is in a plaza on Bethel and has a good amount of seating (all indoors). I will definitely be going again whenever I visit next!

    Cutest Indian restaurant ever!

We had an early dinner here after running some errands on Bethel. It's such a cute spot! Service was friendly and prompt, menu is great and I was pleased to see it's woman-owned and she's the chef, too! Food was great - I had paneer masala and hubs had chicken aloo masala. We each had a naan, one garlic and one onion. Everything was flavorful and the naan were fresh and hot. I only wish I'd saved room for dessert! We had plenty leftover for a yummy lunch next day. We'll be back!

I have had their food before and I loved it and that didn't change for this time either. The food is absolutely delicious here. However, the service on the other had was totally 180. We were seated right away soon as we arrived. There were 2 other guests at the restaurant when we arrived. We waited about 10 minutes for our server to come back to take our order. We ordered Aloo Naan, Vegetable Pokoras, Chicken tikka and Mango Lassi. All the food were just delicious, but it took a while to get our food, about 15 minutes. We received all our food except for the mango lass. Halfway done with our food, I had to ask the server about the Lassi, and then we got it right away. I think he just forgot. No one came to ask if everything was ok or not after we received our food or if we needed anything else. Once we were done with our food, we asked for the bill and couple of boxes to go. Our server gave us boxes but it was way to small to fit anything and had to ask for a bigger box, which took about 15 minutes for us to receive. I would have been ok with all of this if the place was super busy but it wasn't at all! There were plenty of tables at this restaurant and only 3 tables had guests, including us. If you only care for the food and not the service, then the food is worth it here, but don't expect much when it comes to the service.

I visited New India Restaurant recently. Firstly, the ambiance was horrible, lacking any charm or comfort. The manager's attitude didn't help either; it was far from welcoming or accommodating. -Paneer Tikka Tandoor was ruined by an excessive use of food color -Daal Tadka had too much turmeric -Aloo Naan lacked freshness -Mirchi naan was not naan it was more of a paratha -Veg Pakora was good -Plates were not good and broken We ordered malai kofta and server told me here is your korma - I said we ordered malai kofta and server is like it "looks same" LOL. The serving process was chaotic, with the server asking us to move our dishes while serving food. Our supposedly spicy dishes lacked any heat whatsoever, leaving us unsatisfied. Overall, New India Restaurant failed to deliver a pleasant dining experience, and I wouldn't recomm

We went to the restaurant on Friday night, they got busy real quick! The food was great, we got an appetizer, Alloo Tiki, so good! I love the black sauce, the green one was more veggie/cilantro and my husband love that! Yum yum! I also got the butter chicken, the chicken was soft, I can't eat a lot of spicy so my order was mild and it was so good, creamy sauce was so perfect especially the RICE! Rice wasn't dry at all! I can eat more and more rice here Everyone at the restaurant was nice, it was a great Friday dinner!

The buffet is back! The food is carefully prepared and beautifully presented and extremely flavorful. There are plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. The service is kind and professional and the restaurant has been newly renovated. The buffet is offered Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 2:30 pm. Come and enjoy the best Indian buffet in Columbus!

Wish I knew about this wonderful restaurant sooner! The place was beautifully decorated and the staff were so friendly. They had a nice selection of dishes with the ability to customize your spice level. I had the chicken vindaloo with garlic naan anchovies it was delicious!

Dine in | Dinner | $20-30 Tried this place with my husband while on a day trip through Dublin, Ohio. The food was exceptional, hard to find north Indian food like this back in Chicago. We had Chana Saag with onion kulcha and lamb kadhai with garlic naan. Both the curries were delicious. I love that there was no cream put in the curries. The ambience was decent. The servers were very hospitable and attentive. The bill was worth every penny. MUST TRY AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!

Ordered the butter chicken, lamb shahi korma, garlic naan, and aloo naan to go. Everything we ordered had great flavor and spice level. The spice levels increase fast so be careful when ordering! Great portion sizes for the price and everything was ready quickly.

As a person of South Asian descent, I do not say this lightly, but this is the best and most authentic Indian restaurant in Columbus. It took us a while, but we finally made it to New India Restaurant on a cold winter night. Since this was our first time here, we tried a few different menu items, although it was a struggle to narrow down our choices from the extensive menu because everything looked so good. The chai-biskoot (milk tea with Parle-G cookies) is a staple in the South Asian culture, and it is a must-have here. We also enjoyed the mango lassi drink. For appetizer, we tried the Papri Chaat, which was tasty and was also a shareable (among 2) portion size. For our main course, we ordered the Chicken Tikka (comes with rice and a small salad) and the Chicken Korma (comes with a naan bread). We also ordered Poori (deep fried breads), and they came out warm and delicious. Chicken korma is not a dish you will find in a lot of Indian restaurants, and that's a shame because IMO it's a great and unique dish. Also, it's actually an authentic Indian dish compared to, say, the chicken tikka masala, which is not an authentic Indian dish. At New India Restaurant, the chicken korma was fantastic, and we all loved it. The star of the show, however, was the Chicken Tikka, which is the best I have had outside of the Indian subcontinent. I know the founder of this restaurant was originally from New Delhi (his family still owns and operates the restaurant), and despite decades of presence in the Columbus market, they have been able to hold on to the true Delhi tikka flavor profile. I will come back here just for this item again and again. Our service was excellent, efficient, and polite. The manager (her family has owned and operated this place for 22+ years) came out to check on us and was kind enough to give us a brief history of the restaurant. The place is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated with Christmas décor. Most of their menu items here are halal. There is also a bar with various regular as well as specialty drinks. The place may be a bit pricey compared to some of the other Indian restaurants in town, but the portions are big, and the flavors are better than anyone else's. I will definitely be back.

It took about 15 minutes to get the bagel and I'm watching multiple people who ordered after me with multiple items get their food and leave while I ordered a single bagel. I eventually got annoyed and went up there and asked him what happened to my order and I guess they misplaced it or something I don't know, but eventually, my food came out I hope because it took so long it would actually be toasted to Golden, but I actually had to take the cream cheese off and see if they toasted it at all. It definitely wasn't toasted golden and again definitely not extra cream cheese. I don't feel like the order is ever that difficult but clearly they do what they want and you're just supposed to accept it. Definitely not gonna keep going here and giving them a chance after chance for them to drop the ball.

We started with a Hot Apple Cider, topped with maple-infused whipped cream and cinnamon, along with a couple of hot coffees. The cider was warm, comforting, and full of cozy fall flavors. Unfortunately, the self-serve coffee station wasn't kept stocked, and after waiting quite a while for a refill, we eventually gave up. For breakfast, we ordered two Mushroom Frittatas, a Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, and a side of Housemade Breakfast Sausage. The Mushroom Frittata featured three hearth-baked eggs with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and Gruyère cheese, served alongside breakfast potatoes and a peppery arugula salad. It was flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Although I informed the staff about my peanut allergy, I was surprised to find the crispy breakfast potatoes on my plate, which left me uncertain whether the allergy request had been fully communicated to the kitchen. The Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, served with strawberry preserves, was one of the highlights of the meal. It was flaky, buttery, and wonderfully moist, pairing perfectly with the sweet preserves. The Housemade Breakfast Sausage consisted of two peppery pork patties that were juicy and well-seasoned, making a great accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While I wish the coffee station had been monitored more closely and that greater care had been taken regarding my food allergy, the Mushroom Frittata and fresh biscuit alone make Northstar Café worth returning to.

Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... Cooked well and had good flavor I just wasn't personally blown away. The Clover Club: 9/10 - knew exactly what I wanted. Had Monkey 47 which is the BEST gin for this drink. Wasn't the best one I've had but pretty close for it not being on the menu. Filet: 7/10 - a little Gamey but it was cooked well as it should be. Didnt have anything unique about it just was don't like a filet should be done. The carrot was cooked to perfection which brought her review up. The fried potato was also amazing best part of the whole dish, especially with whatever spread they put on it. The fillet was not the highlight the carrot and the potato were. Sea Bass: 1/10 - genuinely did not taste good very gamey very fishy took two bites didn't eat it. The soup it came in was a little sour not a good flavor would not recommend. Hamachi Crudo: 3/10 - we are sushi snobs so take this with a grain of salt. It could totally be something that you love, but I hate when somebody brings out a piece of Nigiri or sashimi and it's warm. This dish has potential the flavors around it were very fresh but the hamachi was room temperature when it should be ice cold and the flavors felt like an after thought. Menu: 4/10 - nothing to write home about when it comes to the options. A very corporate get what you expect type restaurant. They aren't doing anything revolutionary here Atmosphere: 7/10 - definitely a nice spot. It's very clean bathrooms are intimate and also very clean again. Nothing revolutionary here the demographic when we went was very old and corporate. Price: 5/10 - $340 plus idk... I feel like this was worth $180-$220 personally for the price I never complain about price anywhere I go out to eat, especially fine dining, but this place was overcharging for what they're actually giving for sure. Overall: 6.5/10 - I would recommend this place to someone who doesn't really care about Food that much and is wowed by like an STK or a more chain like "fancy restaurant" I was hoping to get more of a small boutique very intentional experience at this restaurant just based on the outside by the field, but it definitely feels like they've cut a few corners when it comes to building a really unique food experience I would love to come back and give it another try because maybe I just came at an off time.
