    Front.

Learned about this place from an ad I saw on my feed. Their web site is top notch, so I decided to stop by before I suggested eating there with friends. It's a hole in the wall establishment. Not saying there's anything wrong with that. It's just misrepresented on their website as a dine in or dine out restaurant. There is no dine in, just some uncomfortable looking wood picnic tables outside. Though it may be the best pizza in town, I don't see my friends and I sitting on those hard wooden chairs hanging out for a couple hours chatting, specially as the nights get colder. So in short, I would say it's a good place for a quick lunch or take out and eat at home, but this reviewer has not tried their food yet.

The food is where this place truly shines. Every pasta dish tastes fresh, rich, and made with intention--perfectly cooked noodles paired with flavorful, well-balanced sauces. A special touch that doesn't go unnoticed: the complimentary garlic bread. Served warm, buttery, and perfectly crisp on the outside. Overall, this restaurant proves that you don't need a large space to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The bruschetta chicken was juicy and flavorful. The pasta with it was light and delicious. The chicken parm was quite good, but the bolognese sauce was the star of the meal. This was one of our favorite meat sauces we've had in quite a while. We finished the meal with a complimentary budino that our server brought to us as first time guests. The butterscotch flavor was light and creamy, so good! It was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Service was very good, our primary server was on top of things and the other people helped him out as well. Manager checked on us too. The restaurant is fairly small and was pretty full. From the outside, it's very unassuming but inside was nice and felt cozy.

We were there at 6pm on a Sunday night but they filled up quick, so I highly recommend a reservation. At dusk, candles are lit and the ambiance becomes warm and intimate; the perfect setting for date night, a birthday/anniversary, or just catching up with friends. We ordered the meatballs (polpette filanti) as an appetizer, which were perfectly moist and tender and blanketed in melty mozzarella (tip: save the sauce for your bread!!). I ordered a special, the Fusilli Toscana (Sun dried tomato, sautéed spinach, and sweet Italian sausage in a light cream sauce), and as much as I wanted to finish it, I deliberately saved half for a bonus lunch the next day! I also stole bites of the Brie and albicocche (Brie, prosciutto, and apricot!!) ravioli in their Bianco and Rosso sauce and I just about died in my seat. *chefs kiss* As if it couldn't get any better, ordered the Pansu (espresso panna cotta) and Tiramisu for dessert and right then and there swore to return when anyone comes to visit me or any time I wanna take a friend out and treat them to a wonderfully authentic Italian hidden gem called La Pergoletta! Buon Appetito!!

I got the stuffed ravioli with beef with the Pesto Cremoso (my personal favorite sauce in general) and my friend got the ravioli stuffed with mozzerella and a pomodoro sauce. The pesto sauce was so creamy and wonderful, the pasta is very fresh and cooked to perfect, not too al dente for my taste. The pomodoro sauce was bright and tangy. The bread thats included is wonderful for sopping up the excess sauce. Get the pansu if they have it in stock! Parking lot is tiny, portion can be small for its price but for the quality and vibes, I'm so glad I stumbled up on this restaurant!

For some odd reason, a lot of Italian spots have seemingly cropped up overnight in Echo Park and…read morethe greater region. Out of sheer luck, my best friend decided to chose this spot for our girls' night dinner, and we have decided on consensus that we savored every bite of our meal. We started our meal with the absolutely delectable focaccia erbraica, a cinnamon roll looking starter bread with olives, currant and a generous sprinkle of rosemary and salt. It came with a pad of homemade honey butter and a dab of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. It was so umami and paired with the butter seemingly melted in our mouths. We also countered that carb bomb with deliciously charred broccolini with walnuts and a squeeze of citrus. Highly cruciferous veggies should only be grilled based on how fast we cleaned our plate. As for the entrees, the plates are meant to share, but I skipped lunch and ate my own bowl of mafaldine short rib pasta (yes you read that right). It was so hearty and satisfying. As a kid, I loved stealing the cooked lasagna noodles and eating them by itself when my mom would make lasagna, so having it on my own bowl of pasta (in the form of mafaldine) gratified my inner child. The short rib was so tender and it was perfectly sauced. I could have eaten another bowl. My friend ordered a steak and a rigatoni alla carbonara, and while I didn't try the former, the latter rigatoni was so delicious as well. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu, and luckily the last one of the night. It had equal parts espresso soaked cake and cream, and it was the perfect sweet note to end our epically delicious meal.

The restaurant is located near Dodger Stadium in a hilly residential area that isn't particularly pedestrian-friendly. Parking was by far the biggest logistical challenge, as we couldn't find any dedicated parking options beyond residential street parking. It's worth planning extra time if you're driving. We arrived around 7:45 for our 8pm reservation simply to check in, not expecting to be seated early. The host, seeming a little bothered, let us know our table would be ready closer to our reservation time and offered grabbing a drink at the bar next door as an option while we wait. We didn't want to order drinks, so we stood against the wall in the waiting area across the host stand. We were single-file, hugging the wall and not blocking anyone. Nevertheless, we were quickly told we couldn't wait there and needed to either go outside (it was cold) or sit at the tables next to the bar. After taking the indoor option given to us, a server came over to take our order. We explained that we were only sitting there because the host had directed us to wait there until our table was ready. The server responded, "Well, if you're here, it's basically expected you order a drink." Restaurants: please do not play games with your patrons. If purchasing something is expected to use the waiting area you direct us to, it leaves a really bad taste to discover it after you've sat down. After 8, we were seated in the main restaurant for our reservation. Our server was friendly, personable, and never made us feel pressured to order more than we wanted like I've encountered in other places. The menu was explained as family-style, with dishes intended to arrive around the same time. Unfortunately, the pacing of the meal didn't match that explanation. Instead of arriving together, the dishes came out individually over the course of about 1-2 hours, often 10-20 minutes apart. I completely understand that everything is made fresh, but it was disappointing after being told the meal would be timed differently. Setting accurate expectations would have gone a long way. The food itself was excellent and easily the highlight of the evening. While the dishes leaned a bit salty, everything was crafted artfully with quality ingredients. The stuffed fried squash blossoms, carbonara, pesto, and peach & burrata salad were all standouts that I'd happily order again.
