My family and I actually love their pizza. However, today was the second time I dealt with this specific employee. First over the phone. No manners, hung up without responding after I placed my order and said thank you. Got there, he was on the phone so I waited but having dealt with him and his attitude before I was hoping he would be different. He hangs up never looks up, keeps touching the screen on his register. I waited and nothing and it wasn't until I walked out that he randomly said "can I help you?". I just had a baby and I have a toddler I know what stress can do and I know sometimes we're not in the mood however this is the 2nd time dealing with his snarky attitude. Place wasn't even busy. So yeah never coming back here again. I'll take a further drive elsewhere. read more

When you walk into a restaurant in the middle of lunch hour and the place is empty that's a good indication to walk away. I ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza and a coke in a to go cup. When I got the coke it was in a standard cup, so ask I asked for a to-go cup and was given a not so friendly grin. But bottom line is: Almost $15 + Tip for Mediocre greasy pizza and a coke is just way to expensive. I won't be back. Worst $17 lunch I've had in a long time. Of course being from New Jersey you have to find your Favorite pizza. Tough challenge in the South. But look no further! This place is as close to NY, NJ PIZZA as you will find in the area. Thin crispy crust. Great gravy sauce! Not full of sugar. Just right! I would eat it daily if my hips allowed. The service is great. The ambiance is nice. The bar area is just right. One star for the fact they're consistent. Every time I've ordered here, the middle half of the pizza is soft and not cooked very well and the outer half is great. We have continued to go here since they offered a 50% military discount, making their otherwise high prices reasonable. Apparently you can now only order delivery through their website, and military discount went down to 20%. Had to call to ask for the promo code, which they gave me, and still didn't work. Apparently they have some kinks to work out with their site, as I could overhear the worker discussing another online order issue while she had me on hold. We figured that we would help the local business during COVID-19, so we ordered for delivery spaghetti with meatballs and eggplant Parmesan. Unfortunately the only thing good was the soup and the quick delivery. The spaghetti with meatballs was terrible. The sauce looks orange and it seams to have a strong flavor of straight vinegar. This was very disappointing since the sauce was the same one which was used for the eggplant Parmesan. We typically do not leave any feedback and we certainly do not leave negative feedback lightly, but there is no way we would ever come back to this place even if it is the closet pizza/Italian restaurant near us. I certainly do hope that the manager or owners evaluate the food that is being served and make some serious correction before everyone turns their back on this place. read more

Place has really gone down hill. Got a pizza a few months back completely undercooked. Had to cook it more in our oven. Went back in a few weeks later ordered the same pizza, told them to make sure it was cooked, it was better but still soft in the middle. No offer for a discount. Next time ordered a veggie. Decided to give it a try, I need to eat gluten free, they are out of gf pasta so I go with a gf pizza. I say to my self, no price for gf pizza but think it can't be that bad.....order it, small pizza arrives and it's good, not great but good. The bill arrives, $38 for a tiny gf pizza!! My own fault because being from New York I should know better than to listen to locals who have no clue as to what good pizza is! There's only three cities in this country that has what you call at least good pizza: New York, Buffalo and Chicago. Outside of them it's a real gamble on how the food will taste. Your food is cold garbage! Might as well been chewing on the box the pizza was put in; sauce tasted like it came out of a can (watery and bland...almost metallic sour), pepperoni wasn't even cooked, chicken wings were cold and dry; pretty sad when the celery is the best part of the meal. Far cry from "house made, fresh ingredients, and all-natural (which is advertised on the box). Dominos has better flavor and texture and theirs is like ketchup on bread. You should be ashamed of the product your putting out and the prices you're charging! I'm shocked you've been in business since 1996. Not only is your food garbage but your employee (didn't get her name) is a rude, condescending dolt! She was rude to me and extremely rude to the elderly gentleman before me. In fact she was rude to everyone who got on her nerves. He tried to explain to her that his order was wrong and all she had to say was "well, thats what I wrote down!" In a sassy voice mind you. This was my go to Pizza pickup place in Bluffton. I'm a Humble New Yorker/Boston guy. I know good Pizza. Pizza here will never be like any in the Northend or Mulberry St. but living in sun we must make sacrifices in food and medical to frolic in warm weather I'm off to find another pizza shop. So my wife made a order to be delivered since she is pregnant and wasn't feeling well. we ordered wings, a calzone a Philly chicken cheesesteak and a large soda. They called saying they were out of chicken and ask if we wanted anything else. We choose the other Philly cheesesteak. 30 min later the delivery driver show up at our home just with the calzone and said he was going back to the store to get the rest of the order, that doesn't make any sense to me, I never had before a delivery that they bring it in different trips, so here we are seating waiting on the rest of the food so we can actually have dinner together. The margherita pizza was dough with plain red sauce on top and a few pieces of mozzarella (it wasn't fresh mozzarella). This was my first time ordering from NYC Pizza on Buckhalter Parkway....by far one of the worst pizza I have had locally. First it was cold when finally delivered....this location is 10 minutes from my home so it should of at least been warm. After warming it up the ingredients were ok but nothing like the pizza I had in NYC...very disappointing! The young man quickly got our drink order. In between the to go customers our order arrived 10 minute later the most delicious pizza truly NY style. Their are two AUTHENTIC PIZZA JOINTS IN BLUFFTON, so I'm happy happy. My niece/daughter went to NYC Pizza and got pizza and chic Parms, and it was close and DID NOT KNOW BETTER. The pizza is ok, a 5 out of 10. But the Chicken Parm was thrown in the garbage disposable after two bites. It was horrendous and almost crime like to sell that crap. The person making has to never lived in Italy, US or any country that men wear pants. Dry, tasteless, the chicken was frozen then microwaved w confetti Mozzarella. It's crumbled in small pieces. For an establishment that calls itself "New York City Pizza," it certainly would never survive in NYC. Food is decent, but the prices are a complete rip-off -- I am charged $10 for 2 regular pizza slices with fresh mozzarella added on top. When shocked by the price, the incredibly rude manager told me, a young woman, "sweetie, this isn't Domino's pizza!" I was born and raised in NYC (recently moved to SC for school), worked in an NYC pizzeria for 5 years myself, and this establishment is not at all reflective of the prices charged nor the quality of food served in NYC. NYC Pizza off Buckwalter is the place to go for fresh baked thin pizza. The pizza is usually pretty consistent. Have had their pizza both take out and eat-in and of course eat-in is always the best. Not to mention their buffalo wings are as good as any that we've had in Buffalo, NY. read more

This is a new location for NYC pizza, which has a few other locations in the area. We showed up at about 7:30 on a Saturday and they let us choose a spot to sit and took our order right away. Service was pretty quick and friendly. We tried zucchini sticks, large pepperoni pizza, and split a Caesar salad (which is definitely big enough for two). It was all tasty. Little bit pricey for a pizza ($20.50 for a large pepperoni) but not terrible. The zucchini sticks were very crunchy and the salad was good. read more

I'm giving 1 star because 0 stars isn't an option. My salad lettuce was all yellow and wilted The boneless Buffalo wings are a combination of frozen nastiness My chicken Marsala was freezing cold. (Note: this review is not affected by the fact that pick-up orders took forever to be ready; I understand that Friday evenings right after work is a busy time and that a wait is inevitable - especially during the pandemic when I imagine most restaurants are working on a skeleton crew.) Now...If the food was good, I could overlook the terrible service. (Heck, if it was mediocre I would only be mildly annoyed by the service.) And, yet, the food was not even mediocre. It was terrible. (My 14 year old son wouldn't even eat the pizza!) The deep-dish pizza was an overcooked round focaccia with watery sauce topped with inexpensive mozzarella and undercooked pepperoni. The crust looked like it was precooked as it was burnt under the cheese (how would that happen otherwise?) and was so stiff that it required a serrated knife to cut; when held in the hand, it didn't "bend" - it looked like it was made from plywood. I should have known that the chicken wings and mozzarella sticks were going to be cold by looking at the stacked bags lined-up on the counter. The wings were flaccid, limp, and not at all crispy as a result of being steamed in a styrofoam clamshell box. Being from Buffalo, I give local pizzerias a pretty liberal "free pass" on flavor, but the wings lacked the traditional "buffalo wing sauce" heat...and the loose bleu cheese dressing was bland despite the pungent (almost rancid) smell. The cheese inside the mozzarella sticks congealed into a toothsome string cheese log served along side a marinara that had the consistency of Campbell's tomato soup prepared with too much water. Although the long wait doesn't affect this review, as stated, it is important to mention it here because we in the queue were all able to collectively roll our eyes and heavily sigh each time the visibly annoyed food runner presented an order that was either wrong or incomplete. (One older gentleman pointed out that his pizza wasn't prepared as ordered and she said, "they made it like you told them to." He politely corrected her, told her he would take it as-is because he didn't want to wait another half hour, and requested an adjustment on his check; the girl snatched the slip out of his hand, pouted her way to the cashier, and came back with six dollars - only to be told by the customer that he hadn't yet paid!) As I continued to wait, I witnessed another couple's pizza come out 15 minutes before their chicken entrée without an apology and heard the unpleasant young woman reply with "yup" to their extremely kind "thank you" as they left with their likely cold pizza. Here's the thing: you're NOT doing us a favor by being open during this scary pandemic. Your food does NOT warrant your ego. The long line does NOT necessarily mean your food is worth the wait as four of the eight of us waiting had never tasted your it before, and saving money by understaffing your restaurant with bitchy teenagers does not make a good impression...at all. While I honestly hate disparaging small businesses, everything about your Bluffton location is severely lacking. Our order: Large deep-dish pizza with double cheese and 1/2 pepperoni. 8 mild "Buffalo" wings. 5 mozzarella sticks. Cost: $48.50 We won't ever be back. I stood around for over 20 minutes past the time the said to come only to have the waiter tell me it's not his fault and that I came early (which was false. I came when I was supposed to).
