    Shrimp avocado salad
    Cilicia L.

A little pricey, but the shrimp and avocado salad was really good. I wish it had had a couple more shrimp, and the "mixed greens" turned out to be arugula only. It was nice that they have about 6 salads to choose from.

Another lunch time discovery, thanks to my co worker. I found Newks to be a very likable get away for lunch. The menu has a lil something for any taste buds. The environment was pleasant and calm and clean. The Shrimp and avocado salad I had was very tasteful and healthy.

Perhaps the most underrated eatery in Austin. Simply put, you must come. 1.) Ambiance The ordering process is easy, and the tables are always clean. Notably the music is at a perfect volume where you can enjoy the song, and still hear the conversation from your friends. I particularly like the washing area for your hands that is not in the bathroom. 2.) service is quite fast, and I have not met an unfriendly employee in the last few years. 3.) The food is consistent and just healthy. I particularly enjoy the Cobb salad(without pecans-nut issue) and the lobster bisque. The perfect balance between dressing and salad can be found here. The Lobster Bisque is perfectly seasoned and isn't too "Lobstery" lol. Try this place and let me know what you feel. Also the price point is well worth the food.

I took my daughter to Nuke's Eatery in the Great Hills area yesterday, and we had such a great experience. I tried their 3-for-$12.99 deal and also ordered the kids' mac & cheese meal for her, which came with fresh fruit. Everything tasted great--hot items were served hot, and everything was fresh. Our food came out in a reasonable time. Not sure if traffic is increased more on the weekends. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated for the holidays, and the kitchen area looked spotless. It's also very kid-friendly, which I really appreciate as a mom of a toddler. Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit for both of us, and I'll definitely be back.

This Newks Eatery is located in the Arboretum right here in Central Texas. The menu has quite a few options, such as pizza, sandwhiches, soups, and salads. I ordered a large Greek salad, along with a cup of tomato basil soup and an iced tea. The soup had a creamy texture with a slight tomato taste. It wasn't too hot, and since I ordered a large salad, the cup size was just right. My Greek salad was super large with just the right amount of dressing. The veggies were all fresh and crunchy. Both of the dishes were delicious. The next time, I'll get the smaller sized salad. The iced tea was fresh, and it did not have that after tea taste left that comes from unfresh iced teas. The service was excellent from the interactions with the cashier until you get your order. The staff keeps the place clean. The restaurant is laid out nicely with lots of space. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is shared with many businesses, so timing is everything when trying to find a parking spot. However, don't let this prevent you from stopping by.

Newks reminds me of Panera bread. It has a relaxed fast causal vibe to the place. Offering sandwiches, salads, and pizza. The space was very clean and all the interactions with the staff were great and pleasant. I got their newks q sandwich which had chicken, bacon, Swiss, and their signature white bbq sauce. I especially loved the sauce on this sandwich. This was a convient spot to grab a quick bite and I will definitely be going back.

Service was excellent! Restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was good, BUT it was not worth the price.

I was at a training and this lunch was given to us! WOW! It was so tasty and flavorful! I really loved how fresh the Turkey and bread was. I'm so happy I was able to try this place out. I've never heard of it before, but is now going to be one of my go to spots! Everything was flavorful!

I haven't been to a News in 12 years! It stinks I've missed out for over a decade! I don't remember the menu having so many options; looking forward to trying most of them. I decided on soup and salad this time. The potato soup is rich and creamy with just the right amount of bacon. The bacon, BTW, is not soggy or fatty but just the right amount of crispness. The salad was a perfect size for a late dinner with not too much dressing. The sweet tea is not too sweet and goes great with the strawberry cake. If you need a quick meal, this is a great place to stop!

Pimento bacon Mac and cheese, tomato basil soup, margherita pizza, and Cesar salad for our little family of 4.

When I pulled up, the parking lot was packed, and while I was able to get a spot that just opened up, lots of people seemed to be walking up from street spots. Make note of their hours as well because they are closed in middle of day. 4-8pm I'm the afternoon does not give a big window to choose your dining time. But the restaurant checks all the boxes. Great ambience. Fun indoor and outdoor seating. Tasty food. Big outdoor space for little ones to play. Convenient location. Decent pricing. The salads are served on big trays which makes sharing easy (even when I didn't really want to share my yummy tossed salad with toasted garbanzo beans and Chunks of fresh mozzarella and a super yummy dressing. The pasta and pizza tasted really good. From an owner of a few pizza places in Houston, I was disappointed in the crispness of the dough. I don't care for pizza that can hold its shape when being held. But if I just told myself it was bread instead- I enjoyed it. It was really the pasta and salad for me. We didn't try too much because we were actually surprised it was open. Many friends mentioned the desserts were to die for. Even Guy on DDD mentioned the caramel rolls were what cinnamon rolls wish they could be. He also LOVED the pastrami sandwiches. So I'd i could do a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 9 for the extra work we had to put in to align with their limited open hours and for the soggy crust. But highest marks on the rest. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.

They're especially known for their Roman-style pizza so I highly recommend giving it a try. As for flavors, you really can't go wrong but the standouts for me were the Potato, Chicken Parm and Lasagna slices. They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone. The pizza is priced by the slice, which makes it easy to mix and match like I did, though you can also order a full pie. I will say this definitely isn't cheap pizza, but you're absolutely paying for quality ingredients and incredible flavor.
