I have been coming here since they opened. They have had recent competition in the area. Some have come and gone and a few are still around. One thing I can say is that they stay true to their commitment of using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Coming from California I was not super impressed with the option here in Texas. They do things big but the execution is not always great. I have noticed that has started to change over the years. This spot reminds me of some of my favs in the Sonoma wine country. They don't overdo it but you can tell they care about what they serve. The prices have increased a bit more than I would expect but you have to consider the area. I will continue to come here because they serve great food and the service has been good as well. read more

It IS a little strange that you can tell it was a fast food place before, and there are no windows... And yet, you end up not really caring because it's so rare to get this kind of ingredient-driven food in the Fort Worth area. Plus, they did do a good job of decorating the space and making it more modern. I think they try a little hard to be formal and professional, but, again, I didn't really care because it's just nice to get great service and pretty good food. Good for a date, or a civilized lunch or dinner with friends. :) read more

The pork tenderloin is very good. Duck breast was very tender and juicy as well. Good for a nice relaxing dinner.

Yum yum yummy. Fun menu with interesting twists and tastes but not so strange you're hesitant to try something. Interesting wine list as well with plenty in the affordable column, tho not much by the glass. read more

Wow! What a great find! We were referred here by our stylist, Chris .......what a treat! Michael greeted us and made sure we were comfortable. They have an outstanding wine selection. The bartender, Josh, was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was really amazing! Everything is homemade - even the pasta. This place is great! It does not appear to be a fine dining establishment from the looks of it but the white table cloths, the food, and the atmosphere tell a different story. Had the meatloaf, it was very good, not dry, served with a great mushroom sauce/gravy. The mushroom gravy really added a wonderful savory/earthy flavor to a well seasoned meatloaf. It came with potatoes and they were good, not out of a box. I also ended up getting a chocolate cake which was quite good, decadent...maybe a bit too much for lunch. It may sound like I was blown away, but I was not. The menu seemed rather basic, I used to live in Georgetown and there was a small restaurant with a trained chef that served better meatloaf and at a much lower price. The cake was served quite cold and I don't really care for that too much. The service was not bad once I got it... Now I know that I'm not in Georgetown and I mush pay for the neighborhood, expensive wine selection and the modern decor. If I must pay for all that I'd like food/service to go with it. read more

Went for paella and was delicious. Nice selection of spanish wines to compliment the dish. And while there was a nice selection of tapas (small plates) the staff was not very informed on the choices nor able to adequately describe them. Ended up with a dish that was not as expected and would not have been requested if it had been explained correctly. Would recommend printing off a special full menu for these evenings. read more

On the Saturday night before Christmas we decided to go to Next Wood Fired Bistro & Vino Bar in Colleyville. Luckily we had decided early enough in the day to make reservations because the place was full. Although we have been here a few times before, this was the first time since the modest remodel. The building is an old Taco Bell but you would never know it once inside. The remodel wasn't drastic but it is a bit nicer decor. My companion had the shrimp scampi and pasta while I had the seared tuna. Both were very good. The shrimp were good size and the sauce flavorful. My tuna was ordered rare but was cooked just a little beyond that. Some of the edges were a little dry although still good. The wasabi and pepper sauces were very good. Although this restaurant is known for their wine and scotch selections we had neither this trip. Adult beverages were consumed and I did have a Drambuie after dinner, that's related to scotch. Service was just OK. Our server was good at explaining the daily specials but it took a long time to get our drinks and he disappeared for long periods. He also didn't suggest an appetizer which was alright since we didn't want one but that is not good for the restaurant's bottom line. Someone else served our entrees. We have never had a bad meal or bad experience at this restaurant. The menu changes often so the one on their website may not be completely accurate. They also have daily specials that aren't even on the seasonal menu. If you're in Colleyville and want a nice meal, this is a good choice. read more

Our first time to go and went for Sunday Brunch. Food was great! Highly recommend the Crab Benedict. My husband had the chicken fried steak which he liked, however, it was not "lightly" battered per the menu. Service was great although our waiter was not very personable. Best French Fusion/New American in Colleywood. Staple for the wife and I. Killer everything, always fresh, always great service; the gnocchi is out of control, specials feature exciting flavor combinations, creme brullé is always on point. Took the boys to Scotch tasting night, best stuff I've ever drank, by far. Ask about the 40 yr old Glenfiddich, one of three bottles in Texas. Unreal night out. Went for a nice dinner with my wife and was very disappointed. She ordered a filet which came out very undercooked. Asked them to fix it and it came out undercooked once again. I had the lamb chops, three of them were cooked fine and I ate them and the fourth was very undercooked, almost still raw. I showed our server that it was not cooked correctly so he could inform the kitchen but he instead decided to argue with me, telling me that I don't understand how lamb is cooked and that it was cooked how I ordered and I was wrong. Also, they charge for bread and butter which is fine but at least tell us that it isn't complimentary. Won't be coming back. read more

Great food. Great knowledgable servers. Superb wine list for every taste or budget. Just call ahead and ask. Closed on Sundays is a good thing, so stop whining about brunch. Stop whining about pizza, as this is not a pizza joint. Stop whining about daddy's money, as little fat finger girls never pay for meals anyway as long as pompous daddy is there. Ugh. A top knotch spot. A classy place with made-to-order custom recipes. House made desserts. A diners place, not a cheap imitation. The cheapo restaurant in the back corner, Citrus something, is closed, thank goodness... You cannot rattle the steady servers, cannot ask for a better wine list. Was almost turned off when we saw it was an old Taco Bell. Was closer to turning around when we saw the sign. About walked straight back to the car when the front entrance room wasn't air-conditioned on a 102 degree day. But we sure are glad we didn't. The food was incredible. The food was excellent!! The waiter, Chris, was absolutely horrible. He was disengaged, aloof and cocky. Felt like a simple question was a big bother for him. The water boy on the other hand was very warm and hospitable. They should have reversed roles. I hope management takes note as I have talked to several other patrons and they had the same experience with this waiter. A real shame since the food was extraordinary. I will try one more time, but if I get the same type of service I will not be going back. read more

Great place and we've always had a 5 star experience here. However that changed last night We dropped by to simply grab a pizza or a flat bread and enjoy a bottle of wine. Pulled up to the bar, asked to see the menu... And no more pizza or flat bread offered?! Bartender confirmed as I gave him a puzzled look as the giant wood fired oven roared behind him. Was told it wasn't "profitable" ??? Well, that's all we were in the mood for so we left. How profitable was that? We'll be back when we want a big meal from them, but extremely disappointed they took the pizzas and flatbreads off the menu. That's almost a reason to pull their wood fired oven card. ;-) read more

This restaurant is trying to be high-end but you can't price like a Dallas restaurant without the food and service to back it up. Runny spinach artichoke dip, unseasoned asparagus and average shrimp scampi don't line up with a $70 steak on the menu. Wine was delayed and the bread and asparagus came out 10 minutes after the entrees. Didn't risk spending money on dessert. Hoping to find a non-chain gem in a sea of chains but nope not this one. read more

I have eaten here about 6 times. First few times was very pleased and came to love a very expensive steak. The last two times I have ordered that same steak I have been completely disappointed. I waited a year to go back and order after the first bad experience and the staff made no effort to replace, comp or offer something else. Tonight the same thing happened. It was completely inedible. The waiter apologized several times and offered nothing at all to rectify the meal. He asked if I wanted to box and take it home. Really????? It wasn't good enough to eat in the restaurant; so, why would I do that. I paid $88 for a meal that I didn't eat and the restaurant could have cared less. Plenty other options out there. Would not recommend this restaurant based on two very bad experiences and the restaurants lack of interest in customer satisfaction. read more

Nice atomsphere although very cramped. Service was a bit slow but I was with a group of 8 and the place was full on a Saturday evening for our 6:30 reservation. The staff had our table set up promptly for the reservation and we enjoyed the food. Wine list was very nice with good vintages at various price ranges for reds. Sorry I did not look at other wines. I plan to return and give it another try with a different entree. The mushroom starter was excellent but the Chicken breast Marsala entree was over salted for my taste.
