Always on the hunt for great pizza. After checking out the Yelp reviews here in Lake Geneva, i knew this one would be a great bet. I ignored the mean Yelp haters who magically have "great culinary backgrounds". Miserable people i tell you. The result was beyond great. This is fab-u-lous pizza. Seriously, it exceeded my expectations. Thin crust, perfectly cooked, excellent cheese, oregano sprinkled on top. Had a half/half with mushrooms & jalapeno. Took a drive to Lake Geneva for lunch. We were looking for a place that the locals go rather than the tourist type place. We found Next Door Pub to be just that place. About a mile or so from the lake front, as soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. We had our choice to sit outdoors or inside. Service was great, everyone works together, a server who was not taking care of us brought refills of our soft drinks without having to ask. We had a big pretzel as an appetizer, came with 3 dipping sauces then a 12 inch pizza for our meal. Everything was delicious and the staff was out standing. We will be back. read more

We read reviews for the Next Door pub. The reviews were great so we gave it a try. It was a very busy night with the Packers playing. Although a long wait it was worth the wait. We had a sausage and pepperoni pizza. Very tasty! The service was great. I would definitely recommend. The reason for only four stars is the parking lot. It was dark when we left. The parking lot is in terrible shape in back with huge holes. There is absolutely no light. They should do right by their patrons to put a light in back. read more

This was my second visit here and it left me disappointed I didn't order the chicken sandwich I ordered the first time. This time my son and I decided to try their award winning pizza.... I wish we hadn't. I'm not sure who is handing out these awards, but what we got was terrible, unless you enjoy undercooked doughy crust and unmelted cheese. Big fan of this place! Wings are good, pizza is good and the specials are great. There are two areas, the bar and a sit down area, take your pick. Local place that's always busy, so expect a short wait. We went on a night they were hosting a fundraiser for a local school for kids with special needs...appreciate when businesses give back to the community. Thank you! They were BUSY! This place is a zoo...in a good way! It's half restaurant/half bar adjoined but also two separate entrances. The wait was 35 minutes on a Sunday night at 5pm. Annoying for some, but as visitors to Lake Geneva, it was good that the locals come here to eat. Lots of pizza being served, but we did a bunch of apps to share. Everything was good. The biggest downfall was that the server am was so busy it was hard to get her attention, but it all worked out and we had a nice experience. I would certainly give it another try on our next visit, or maybe grab a carry-out pizza. read more

We were visitor's visiting and Someone who lives in the area highly recommended this place and informed me that all the locals like this place. With that being said we gave it a whirl. The husband and I ordered sodas and my Sierra Mist was MOLDY tasting! Meaning that soda line is NO GOOD!! Yes...the following day I DID get SICK!! --Hopefully the owner reads this and fixes this because this warrants a health inspector visit. I was NOT impressed with my waitress because I overheard her gossiping w.her Co worker's about that complaint (EXCUSE ME?!). They made a bigger deal abt it than me-since I got ill....EVERYONE IS GOING TO READ ABT IT. The bus boy there is an outstanding employee because he literally went up above and beyond and also had the bartender taste the soda and told me she agreed with me. I liked him (he is a genuine person). The food IS very GOOD!! I did not understand why 4 different employees were at our table at various times...the waitress must handle other incomers and was not that attentive . I had to ask her to delete that soda off our bill. The front door coming in and out is too small. It's not a functional front end. People climb over each other to either get in or out and I witnessed a huge puddle on the floor inwhich I informed staff of because I did not want someone to fall. This place rocks. On our last trip up to Lake Geneva we ended up eating here both nights. It was just that good and great for families. All the tables have these tablets that your kids will love. Wings = Outstanding Fried Food = Really Outstanding (curds!!!) Salads = Solid! Service = As good as it gets The menu is huge and really everything I saw looked great. We went for family dinner while visiting the area. My husband and son each had a small pizza. The crust is very thin and tasty. I had the fried perch, which was just as expected. My youngest son had the kids Mac and cheese, which was a very generous portion. The beer list has a very large selection. Staff was friendly. Prices are reasonable. Restaurant employees all wore masks,when being seated mask required. Tables were social distanced. Breaded Mushroom appetizer was excellent, burgers were excellent, server was excellent. Great food!!! First night we were in town, i ordered a pizza for delivery. Was told it'd be about 45 minutes, but it came in 25! Delicious! The second day we were there in Lake Geneva, we physically went to the restaurant. It's a great spot with a parking lot. Super kid friendly, there's little "tablets" with free games for kids to play while waiting for the food. Since I have two young girls, the waitress was kind enough to grab us another tablet so there wouldn't be any fighting! I ordered fish tacos.... YUM, the dressing they use is sooo tasty! Terrible delivery service. They screw up my order, Every. Single. Time. The food is decent but the back house of the kitchen must not know how to read. Or the rude person on the phone doesn't know how to enter the items accordingly. I have had things delivered , and they have literally forgotten entire entrees. If I order pick up I make sure to check to see if they haven't screwed up yet again. It's a shame because their aren't many restaurants that deliver in Lake Geneva. They say 1.5 hours for delivery? My go to spot everytime were in Lake Genveva and I keep coming back for the delicious and famous "garbage" pizza! Packed with onions, sausage, peppers, and mushrooms-it is so yummy! The place is overall a no-frills casual kind of place which is great after a long day on the lake. Both dine-in and carry-out have great service. Other items that are great include the spinach stuffed arancini balls & the garlic bread. Parking is usually packed here on the weekends so be sure to come early or wait a little. They recently renovated the outdoor section as well so there is more space. I have yet to try the bar! read more

I've been to this place a handful of times and don't really get what all the fuss is about. I had the cheese soup, which was good, everything else was average at best. I had the pasta special with shrimp. The shrimp could've been grilled longer, and the alfredo sauce was fine. Someone else at our table got a salads, which i've had before and they're good. Stopped by on our way back home, and we were not disappointed! Our first concern was if there would only be bar food, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover they have an extensive menu. The ambiance is typical for a Wisconsin Pub, and it was busy for a Saturday lunchtime. We actually waited 10 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a big deal. Once seated I spotted the Italian Beef sandwich and could not be swayed from my choice. It comes with their house chips or you can upgrade to fries etc for $1.00. I stuck with the chips and thought they were a nice accompaniment to the sandwich, which was completely legit! They toasted the bun, I really only noticed on the edges as the rest got soggy but appreciated it immensely. If you upgrade your sandwich to supreme, they add cheese and italian herbs, which lent a great flavor to it as well. It's a well filled sandwich and I was very satisfied with it! the appetizer was good EVERY thing else was HORRIBLE!! the Turkey dinner was TERRIBLE! potatoes, instant would have been better the gravy was suppose to be giblet gravy. It was like packaged brown gravy. The Turkey was like something pressed together and cut in round circles the dressing a long with everything else had NO FLAVOR. The cranberries were in a container smaller then a coleslaw container. I was to start with a soup according to menu. I received it AFTER receiving my dinner. 'My Husband ordered off the menu the chopped avocado blue cheese salad. It was not chopped it was GROUND. You needed a spoon to eat it. The cup of soup was 1/2 full and cold. The prime rib sandwich came the same time as salad. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience! The Service was just as bad. They took our waitress and put her in the bar area. I've been in the industry for 20 years and it seems rare when I notice someone that provides phenomenal service. Eric, the bartender this afternoon , was simply amazing. He worked a near full room with ease and still found time to make small talk with customers. NO ONE had to wait for a thing in the bar area. Very impressive.
