We recently stopped into Neza for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy, but it was an off time. We were promptly greeted and sat. The restaurant appeared very clean and well taken care of. Our waitress Aylen was very nice and very helpful. Being a vegetarian, I was disappointed to learn that both the beans and rice contain chicken stock, leaving the options very limited. I ordered the Veggie Enchilada's which do not contain cheese, and they did let me substitute the rice and beans for a side salad, which was fresh. The meal was very tasty and honestly the first time in a very long time where my food was so good that I didn't require hot sauce! My fiancé ordered the Fajita mix, which he stated was some of the best fajitas he has had in a very long time. The guacamole, pico and salsa were all fresh. The reason for the 4, not 5 stars wasn't due to the food - which was amazing, the atmosphere or the service. It was because I felt nickel and dimed when I got our receipt. They charged me an upcharge for salad dressing for my side salad. They charged an upcharge for sour cream and cheddar cheese. So, those added about $6 to my bill. Not big money but just felt nickel and dimed. We will return as the food was excellent. If you're in the area - give it a go!

This place never disappoints! The drinks are always spot on. The servers are always kind and attentive. The food is never missing a spice. We never leave hungry. On the contrary, we should always be taking food home but it's too good to not finish eating. Definitely my favorite Mexican spot!!

Guacamole, salsa and chips were wonderful.

GREAT New Mexican in the area. Neza is family owned and a little tough to see on Warwick Avenue but very much worth the trip. Our server was attentive and courteous and the food was served promptly. A little hiccup on order was corrected quickly and our drinks and food came out right away. Handmade guacamole, outstanding tequila selection, mixed drinks and authentic Mexican food with portions that will last for days. The chicken mole entree had just enough 'kick' to make me sweat but not enough to drive me away. Overall, very strong first visit. Give it a try, I think you'll be glad you did!

We ordeeed a lot & we're not disappointed in any of it! 10/10 will return!

Authentic Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood! Yes please!!! They recently opened and we have already been two times! The ambiance is nice perfect for a date night or to just bring the whole family. Both times the food has been excellent as well as the service! We started with Elotes. Street corn and fresh table made guacamole. Both were excellent and we wanted to order more!! The corn is 4 good pieces great for the table loaded with flavor just like in Mexico! We have ordered vegatarian enchiladas, excellent and they let me change it to spicy mole sauce! 5 star! Husband had shrimp diablo, which I also ate!! It was a little bite but not spicy. The flavor was on point!! Today i had the fried fish tacos and they were perfect fresh, it cane with flour tortillas next time I'll ask for corn because I prefer corn but they were great. They have a great kids menu too! We love this place! Service is great. The brinks are FIRE!!! Spicy margarita and guava margarita are to die for. This place is dangerous and I can't stop thinking about it and when the next time I will be able to go back!!! Parking is in the back and there is plenty of spots.

We came in with another group in front of us, so unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to say the password ourselves, but we'd love to return for the full experience! Be warned that the place is quite small, so you'll most likely have to wait since they do not take reservations. For a party of two on a Saturday night, our wait was around 40 minutes, and we were eventually seated by the bar. I will say that the seating arrangements could be thought out a little better because we had to play musical chairs quite a few times throughout the night. That aside, the drinks themselves were quite good! You can tell the bartenders are very skilled and passionate about crafting their cocktails. For any Star Wars fans out there, the tiki drinks are served in mugs featuring some of your favorite characters, which was such a fun touch! Overall, the drinks were on the pricier side, but I'd say they were well worth it. Definitely a fun spot to check out!

The staff at Sapphire (Melissa, Marc, & Shiv), as well as the guest bartender (Vannaluck), went above & beyond to make the experience interactive & memorable. We were greeted immediately with a French 75 made with cognac - Did you know that the original French 75 called for cognac, as well as many other classic cocktails? No? Neither did I. The welcome aperitif was a great lil' treat to kick the night off with. We were given a mini charcuterie selection to keep us busy until the main event, which began about 20 minutes after we arrived. Vannaluck talked us through the history & characteristics of cognac. We were given 3 small pours of different cognacs to taste as well as a serendipitous, bonus mini pour at the end. Throughout the night, the kitchen sent out a variety of tapas that UTILIZED COGNAC. Cognac glaze, reduction, brine, etc. Fascinating! I went in knowing next to nothing about cognac & left with a decent understanding of the spirit. I've always wanted to do something like this, & Sapphire made it extremely accessible. It was also amazingly affordable. I'm really looking forward to more events like this one. Sign me up, please.

We were doing one of our usual…read morebrewery and cocktail crawls around Providence this past weekend and had planned on stopping at Bayberry, but apparently every time we tried to go there they had a wedding and weren't open to the public. So, Plan B it was, and honestly, I'm glad we ended up here. Yellow Door has a really fun atmosphere. The playlist was lively, the place gradually filled up while we were there, and the whole space has a vibrant, welcoming feel without becoming obnoxiously loud or chaotic. It's very aesthetically pleasing, with a colorful, modern look that fits the whole taco-bar concept perfectly. It feels like somewhere you could drop in for a couple of drinks and tacos with friends and just hang out for the evening. Our bartender was really nice and attentive, and the cocktails were probably the highlight of the visit for me. The drink menu is extensive, and there are plenty of interesting options rather than the usual handful of margaritas and beer. Everything we had was well balanced and well made. Providence has been having something of a cocktail renaissance lately, and Yellow Door fits right into that trend. The food was good, although I have to be honest about the birria taco we tried. It was tasty, but it wasn't exactly a life-changing taco, and it was on the small side for the price. I was expecting something that would make me immediately understand why everyone gets so excited about birria, and this one didn't quite get there. That said, "good but not mind-blowing" is still good, and I'm not going to knock an entire restaurant because one taco didn't knock my socks off. We only tried a small portion of the menu, so there's plenty more to explore. That's actually one of the reasons we'll be back. I want to try some of the other food, and I'd like to come on a different night to see how the atmosphere feels when we're not in the middle of a weekend crawl. Sometimes a place hits differently when you actually sit down, order a few things and give the menu a proper chance rather than treating it as one stop on a larger evening. Overall, Yellow Door Taqueria is a very solid four stars. The atmosphere is fun, the space is attractive, the bartenders are friendly, and the cocktails are genuinely good. The food we tried was good, although the birria taco didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Still, there's enough here that I'm interested in coming back and trying more, which is ultimately a pretty good endorsement. Sometimes Plan B turns out to be worth keeping on the list.

I had the avocado shakshuka, my husband had the lox omelet (see the photo). Despite the large menu of fancy coffee options, we each had a basic iced. It was served in a glass, which was a nice touch. Self serve milk was at a station in the dining room area. Coffee was good, cold but I would have traded some coffee for a bit more ice to stay that way as I drank it slowly. Both of us were surprised when our meals were delivered: the plates were beaut! In particular his omelet was absolutely gorgeous! Now for the flavors: the omelet had a generous helping of perfect cooked eggs (not sitting in a pile of grease, as restaurant omelets frequently are). It was so fluffy that we both thought "that's way more than the advertised 3 eggs," and the lox was thickly layered whole slices nestled inside the fold. Most places chop the lox like vegetables, add it to the eggs, & make it like a veggie omelet - meh. This iteration was perfect; the lox tasted like smoked salty fish, losing none of that flavor to the omelet itself. The potatoes? Fabulous! Great spice mix, cooked until they were crispy. That was a tasty bit of marble rye toast too. My shakshuka was very good, but a bit less successful. The elements were all excellent; the avocado was actually guacamole since it was mashed & there were tomatoes and spices in the dish. The combination worked, except for the bread element. The dish as presented was really more of an avocado toast with shakshuka on top. It might have been more successful to add the avocado/guacamole as a unique base on the plate, with the tomato sauce and eggs on top with toast on the side (as is the way shakshuka is traditionally served) because halfway through the bread got really soggy & less appetizing. Still, the first few bites, while everything was still warm? So good!
