Their garlic noodles were too dry and chewy. No thanks.
    Mitch C.

Love their garlic noodles and crawfish pasta!! Their noodles are very tender and not chewy. They offer free garlic noodles on Postmates if you order $15 or more so pretty much buy one get one free. Glad they open late since most of the places closes early. I was able to place an order and went picked it up after 10pm. My noodles are nice and hot when I got home to enjoy them. Their popcorn chicken are a bit small, wish they are the size of a chicken nugget but it's more like half of that. I will definitely coming back next time.

My second time here, they're open late, and that's what drew me the first time, after a concert at the Grove across the river, in Anaheim. The recent occasion, however, preceded a show at the same venue. My buddy and I found a parking spot in back, which was good, and upon entering, we discovered that one half of the building is another restaurant. I learned something new. I recall liking the Banh Mi and whatever else I had years ago, but the rice bowls sounded more my speed given the size and contents. I selected the beef bolgolgi, and my friend got the grilled chicken. A peach tea also hit the spot to round out the meal. I enjoyed both sauces, especially the spicy green one. The pickled veggies are a nice contrast to the rice and meat. A bite of chicken confirmed my pal made a good choice as well. If I have any complaints, it's that the food definitely has a LOT of sodium. I commented after the show at the Grove that my lips felt chapped, and my friend said the same and attributed it to high salt content. I'd definitely go back, especially since the prices are reasonable and I wasn't hungry for anything else later.

Came here with my girlfriend last night. We really like this place. I always knew about it but I never checked it out until now. Super delicious and hot food at a reasonable price. And they are open late. I'll definitely be visiting here more often in the later hours. Started with the Pork Buns and Egg rolls. Both were super good. Hot and crispy. I got the Beef rice bowl and my girlfriend got the beef noodle bowl. I also got the Iced Tea. So good. This place has great food. Not a lot of seating but if it's not busy you'll definitely get a seat.

Nguyen's Kitchen hits the spot at 1am!!! We got the grilled pork banh mi and grilled pork bowl, both of which were exactly the savory meal we needed in the early AM. I think the bowl is more filling than the banh mi because of all the rice and more meat in the plate, but both were great. There was a sweet, yellow sauce that came with it that I wasn't familiar with, but it was also delicious. The service from the cashier was timely and enthusiastic despite how busy it was at the time. Highly recommend and will be coming back for sure!

I'm quickly becoming a regular customer here. My favorite item is the chicken rice bowl. It's a huge portion of mostly rice, so you won't leave hungry. Although it's mostly rice, there's still a substantial amount of chicken and vegetables. All together it's a fresh and satisfying meal. It also comes with two sauces that pair extremely well. The chicken isn't overly seasoned; therefore, there are no flavor clashes with the sauces you are provided. The shredded carrots seem to be either pickled or marinated, which is a nice touch and flavor boost. I also ordered their chicken wings and got them extra spicy. The spice level was good, not unbearable, but it had a good kick. Moist chicken, too. The food is always prepared quickly as well. One of my favorite places to stop by whenever I am craving a simple yet delicious meal!

    Crawfish Pasta
    Tiffany C.

This place is a quick fast casual Vietnamese fusion joint where you'll find various noodle/rice dishes along with banh mis. It is not the most authentic, but it is a fast casual place so you get what you pay for. My go to is their crawfish pasta with the spicy creamy sauce. The dish has gone downhill over the years as I've noticed that they skimp a little on the meats and the pasta is not as saucy as it used to be before. Service was quick, and most people grab takeout here but there are a couple tables available for dine in for smaller groups.

This was so fire I would definitely come back again. The bowl was also much larger than anticipated which was great because I got two meals out of it. Service was also super quick. I would really recommend coming here!

    Garlic Noodles w/ Shrimp
    Diana L.

Ordered Nguyen's Kitchen via Uber Eats the other night. The food was packaged well, the shrimp tasted great, grilled and buttery. Came with 5 shrimps. However, I wasn't a big fan of the garlic noodles, felt like the noodle would have been better if it were thicker - something about the texture or taste.

Spicy miso ramen: 9/10 Actually one of the better ramens I've had lately. The broth is creamier and isn't overpowering with chicken/beef flavor. The chashu was nice and tender as well. I really liked that their noodles were al dente and not too soft Deluxe mazemen: 8/10 Taking my first bite, I was instantly greeted with an explosion of umami. There's a LOT of flavor packed in this bowl and the noodles used are actually a bit thicker which is right up my alley. My only drawback on this dish was that I wished it came with some sort of veggies to cut through all the flavor. They also give you a small serving of rice at the end for you to mix into the bottom which was a nice addition Kurobota sausage: 7.5/10 We've recently been on a kurobota craze. Don't get me wrong, these were great but we've only had them charred and grilled before so I was taken aback when I saw that these were only steamed. The interior is cozy and small with authentic Japanese decorations/setup. Kinda felt like we were eating in Kyoto or something, lol. The lady who served us was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I think she was handling the whole operation to be honest. To start it off, we ordered their specialty chicken karaage and it was very delicious. It has a nice crispy and crunchy texture. The batter on the chicken was good and once you bite it, the meat is juicy and tender. Doesn't really need dipping since it's so good. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art. Very picture pretty. I ate that shit up within ten minutes. After that they give you a scoop of rice so you can mix it up with the leftover sauce. Lots of umami for sure. Definitely will come back again to try the other flavors. People, trust me and come through!

This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

The person taking our order was patient with us as we ordered even as we were dealing with our toddler. Our requests were accommodated respectfully and to the best they could! Upon first glance, the gyoza looked good, like it was a family recipe and made from scratch! The spicy garlic ramen had thick, and a tasty looking broth and the portion sizes for the ramen looked like decent enough for the price. The taste for the gyoza was good, but the spicy black garlic ramen definitely stole the show!
