We came here for a graduation dinner and made reservations for a group of 15 people. This place was amazing! There's a little area where you can pick out some "appetizers" that are already premade. I was only able to take a photo of that and everything else was so good that I forgot to take a photo. We ordered a huge variety of dishes and everything tasted amazing! I don't think there's a single dish that I could complain about. Their spicy fish was beyond amazing! I will definitely be back for that one! Great food and great prices. Highly recommend!!

Home Eats is a great spot for casual Chinese food with generous portions and reasonable prices. We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and it was surprisingly quiet, though the large dining room feels well-suited for family gatherings, group dinners, and banquets. The food came out quickly, portions were huge, and everything we ordered was flavorful. The spicy chicken definitely brought some heat, and the overall menu offers plenty of classic Chinese comfort-food options. What stood out most was the value--you get a lot of food for the price. Service was friendly, attentive, and low-key. The staff checked in regularly without being intrusive, and the whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming. A fun touch was the robot server that helped deliver dishes to the table. The location is also convenient, especially for anyone near Santa Clara University. With free parking available and several Home Eats locations around the Bay Area, it's easy to see why the restaurant has become such a popular local favorite. If you're looking for a casual, no-frills Chinese restaurant with large portions, quick service, and a chill atmosphere, Home Eats is definitely worth a visit. For weekend takeout for large group events or parties, make sure to order a few days early because they won't take the order on the same day due to capacity.

If you're looking for a late-night spot or just can't decide what to have for dinner, Home Eats is the place to go. They have a good variety of options, so there's something for everyone. The food is satisfying, the portions are decent, and it's become one of my go-to spots when I don't feel like cooking.

I kept getting flyers in the mail from this place and finally decided to try. It's a chain with locations like in downtown and Milpitas. They have Chinese food and do hot pot too! 5 stars just for the Szechuan wings - hands down best wings and so flavorful!!! Love the peanuts too! Need to try their hot pot next! Also intrigued by their popcorn chicken and fries dish (forgot the know the name..but it looks like the "Irish spice bags" in the UK!!)

We ordered #48 String Beans & Eggplant 豆角焖茄子 everytime! Great service! Tasty food!

I came here with a party of 8 on a Saturday night. We came in an hour before they close but still got speedy and good service. Techno music was pumping in the background. We ordered a beef chow fun, a choy, cumin lamb, nap tofu, beef wraps, and combination fried rice to share family style. The chow fun is good and has good texture. The beef was tender and had a little kick. The cumin lamb also had a good crisp to it. The beef wrap was so much bigger than I imagined it to be. It was definitely the highlight for me. It had plenty of veggies (including whole green onion chunks) and plenty of beef. The a choy also felt pretty fresh. Finally, I really like how the fried rice had some pickled mustard greens. They gave fortune cookies at the end. The biggest downside about eating here is that basically everything is oily. Asides from that, this feels like a good bridge between a more traditional chinese and modern chinese-american food. There is a big menu with a lot of options to choose from.

My friend and I came over for an early dinner at around 4 pm on a Saturday and with the spacious seating inside, we got a table immediately. The ordering is pretty convenient where you place it with the QR code at the table and all our dishes came out almost simultaneously. A Choy - The perfect vegetable dish to balance between the richer dishes we ordered. It had a great garlic flavor and the vegetables were cooked well, soft while keeping a crunchy texture bite to it. Pork & Cabbage Dumplings - We ordered the classic combination of pork and cabbage and it did not disappoint. The dumplings were pretty large and were piping hot as well as juicy on the inside. It was elevated by the vinegar chili oil sauce on the side which gave it a slight kick and sourness. Tidu Sliced Beef Pot - I was a little worried this would be too spicy but it was a good balance with the spice and had a slight sourness. The meat and fishballs were my favorite, coated in their rub. My friend highly recommended this place because of the quality of food and the very affordable prices which I agree with after trying these dishes. I highly recommend it if you're looking to get some Chinese dishes at a great price.

We got crispy spicy chicken, fried wings, fried country style pork, beef wrap, orange chicken, and chow mein. The crispy spicy chicken was delicious, but it was too spicy. The fried wings were delicious, but a little too sweet. It was sticky and kinda messy to eat. My partner really liked it. The beef wrap was delicious and I liked the scallion pancake wrap. Would be better without the cilantro though. The orange chicken was good. The chow mein was very bland; the shrimp, chicken and beef had no taste. It was convenient that the table had napkins and chopsticks already.

Wow. Portion size is absolutely diabolical. I couldnt even finish the entree. The value and price of the place is fantastic. However, if you want authentic better tasting chinese food, other restaurants in the area have a lot more to offer. Service was fine and the food was ready fast. I went on a saturday evening and there was a nice homey noisy environment!

I've eating Home Eat serval times at the Great Mall location. The Santa Clara location was the first time I sat down and ate the food super fresh. The portions are huge and come out piping hot. Service is also very fast and for a weekday night I was seated very quickly. All the dishes were packed with flavor and went great with rice. If you're wanting to go to the next step in fast quality Chinese food. I'd definitely check it out, the honey walnut prawns are better then a lot of places in the South Bay. It's not soggy, they're crispy with the famous sweet sauce & candied walnuts. My partner who's a local was surprised how good this dish was. I will definitely be coming back (which I did, I actually ordered a lunch box set to go it comes out hot & fresh if anyone's wondering everything is cooked to order).

Wanted to get some Chinese food and this was the best place that popped up. There was a mild amount of parking outside of the restaurant, and the interior was clean with a sleek, monochromatic ambiance. Although Home Eat is designed moreso for group meals (like most Chinese restaurants tend to me), there was no awkwardness that came from the fact that I came alone. The waiter was relatively friendly, and I noticed that there was also a robot that was also delivering food to people. Since I was only one person, I decided to get the Beef Chow Fun. It tasted good and I was able to eat the entire sitting on my own, which I'm not sure is really sad or really impressive. Regardless, it fulfilled the random "beef chow fun" craving that I've been having for a while, so it did its job. Overall, a nice experience. Had I not randomly encountered four different Home Eats after eating here, I would've never suspected that this restaurant was a franchise. Wouldn't mind coming back if I wanted Chinese food in Santa Clara again.

Words cannot describe how much i love this place. It's like going to your grandmas house and she's whipping up a billion dishes that all taste HELLA GOOD. #AUTHENTIC. the price and the quality and the quality is hard to beat. Each plate can serve 2-3 people so it's a lotttt. AND it's a rlly good price too. It's not too oily so you don't feel gross afterwards. We got the combo fried rice, beef chow fun, eggplant, lamb skewers. Every single one of them is DELICIOUS. i literally cannot find a single fault

My favorite Chinese comfort food places. They have a huge variety of dishes at a great price and generous portions. I like that they have a monthly special with additional discounts. Must try food here are the eggplant with string beans and the classic chicken wings!! The have a large amount of tables along with a separate area for large groups so getting a ravel is never a issue. Staff is always friendly and quick with the food

We waited for probably 15-20 minutes which wasn't too bad. The place is pretty big and fits a good amount of people. The food was great. They have also opened a location in Cupertino that is more convenient for me. Adding Mian to this plaza definitely livened it up, it was so difficult finding parking and then there was an hour wait when we joined the waitlist. We wandered around Grocery Outlet and Savers to pass the time. I came with a group of 6 people. We ordered the sichuan spicy fries and fried chicken cutlet to share. The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. My partner had the chengdu zajiang noodles, mild spicy. They were good, the signature dish of the restaurant. I would return, but their spice levels are very inconsistent.

Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.
