I'll probably get the pastrami next time. While the sandwich could've used a little more pastrami, it had more flavor than the club. You can barely taste the bacon in the club.. thought they forgot to include it but found a couple of pieces; it just didn't really have the typical bacon flavor? Today was my first time going to Nicks but let me tell you I will never eat a sandwich from anywhere else again I got me a Cali club on Dutch crunch and my wife a chicken cordon bleu on soft roll and a cup of chicken tortilla soup everything tasted fresh and delicious the staff was super helpful with choosing what I should order. The place itself is very modernized you could tell the owner put some time and thought into the environment she wanted her customers to experience. I had a green goddess with chicken because it was recommended by the owner which let me just add she is one of the sweetest / most patient person ever!!! She was definitely a lot of help when it came down to the decision making for sure!! Anyways back to the sandwich; the sandwich was just A-MAZING !! The produce was so fresh and it had a generous amount of it too! I ordered three sandwiches off door dash: Hot pastrami, chicken C. Bleu, and the high roller (with pastrami, salami, turkey/swiss and provolone). AWESOME. High roller was our fave. It came hot, which we loved. It was one of those sandwiches where we were still enjoying the taste after we had eaten it. Makes you want more! BREAD: we ordered one on Dutch crunch and two on French. The Dutch crunch was great but I would recommend the French over the Dutch crunch. The French bread/roll had a slight crunch yet was soft. The Dutch crunch was thicker and firmer and when you bit into it, it pushed the sandwich parts out of the bread. We had to keep putting it back together. Again, both delicious but the aftertaste and then texture of the French was superior. It really added to the sandwich. Definitely coming here again! This tasty sammie consisted of mozzarella, pesto, cucumber, avocado, and don't forget to add stinky sauce. The shop is very clean and the staff is friendly. They have about 7 specialty sandwiches, a couple of breakfast sandwiches, as well as the option to build your own. Would be five stars if they had a better system for ordering/paying. I like mom and pop operations, that is one of the purposes of me being a "Yelper" to highlight these businesses and to try something new that isn't attached to a "big brand". "Nick's Sandwiches" I discovered while my short time being a "Dasher", they seemed to have quite the flow and being it's in my city, I figured why have a waited to visit? Being this place is vet owned and operated, I think I choose the best day ever to visit. Allow me to tell you why "Nick's Sandwiches" is worth the visit, and what "B.A.S" stands for....it's supposed to be a secret. The challenge they have is finishing it in one sitting....well that didn't happen lol, I did give it a valiant effort though. To be honest, I barely finished 1/2. Those who know me know I'm a hefty guy, but even me I had to finish what I could and then save the rest for work. This sandwich came with the works and a special sauce they use. I got it on a Dutch Crunch roll and in simpler terms, this sandwich is basically a "Kitchen Sink" in terms of ingredients, it featured Ham, Dry Salami and Turkey, my choice for cheese (Swiss) lettuce, onion, black olives and pepperoncini. It all worked together beautifully. Like this wasn't something for the faint of heart, this was for someone wanting a meal. This may be my go to for now on at this establishment. Overall: It was funny when I mentioned the name of the sandwich and the girls behind the counter giggled. The service was great and being greeted with a smile is always the best. They make all their sandwiches, cookies and cakes here. They also have "Froyo" here if that's your thing, and the toppings station as well. I highly recommend "Nick's Sandwiches" if you just so happen to be in the "Pittsburg" area, you won't regret it. Nicks Sandwiches gives you that good ole sandwich shop feel. Great atmosphere, clean and modern interior, and a great menu to select from. That includes sandwiches of course along with some pastries and a good size coffee menu. Due to the small location it's only take out but easily looked over with outdoor seating just a few steps away. The best part is they cater so if you have a party, event, meeting, or need to feed a lot of peeps they have options. The food is family budget friendly and portions are spot on for what you pay. My daughter ordered a custom sandwich that lasted her two meals, while my wife ordered a Green Goddess added chicken that I took a bite of and tasted great also lasted her two meals. For me I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu with everything on it and has officially become my go too Sandwich that did NOT last me two meals haha! Now the one thing you cannot pass on is The Fire Sauce and Stinky Sauce. There are no words to explain the amazing ness these sauces add to the food. I have been placing catered orders for my company for nearly three years now. Working with this business is the most unprofessional catered experience I have ever come across. I placed an order for sandwiches for a meeting that our client was hosting at their facility a week in advanced. When I placed the order, I was told I would be called the day of to confirm the order and collect payment. With an hour and a half left to go before delivery time, I still had not heard from them, so I decided to call. I proceeded to call their business five times over the next hour (during their open business hours) and did not get through to them once. After leaving multiple voicemails, I explained that I have to assume that they are not fulfilling the order, as they had not collected payment. I continued to tell them that I need to cancel the order at this point, as I had no way to be sure it would be delivered as promised. I proceed to order from another sandwich shop in the area (Five stars to Parma Deli, they fulfilled a large order in under and hour.) Then, two hours later, I receive a phone call from Nick's telling me that they expect me to pay them now. I come to find out that they delivered to the address I had given them, but did not hand it off to the representatives of my company. Rather, they delivered directly to our clients, with nothing to sign, leaving them to wonder what is going on. So, I told the person on the phone that I had canceled the order because they had not confirmed it. She proceeded to yell at me for ten minutes and then hung up on me as I was asking her to speak with me like a professional. Here is the BEST PART! After she got off the phone with me, she proceeded to CALL OUR CLIENT AND HARASS THEM FOR PAYMENT. My company decided to bite the bullet and pay for the food that was not delivered to us. We will never do business with the company again though. I suggests you do the same. read more

Where do I start. I made an order online, for pickup during my work lunch break. The name has changed, so I spent over 10 minutes circling the block trying to find it. When I finally found it, after calling and being on hold forever and being told the actual name of the place, I got in there & the ladies seemed confused about how to help me. There was no communication about what was going on or who was helping me, so I mentioned to one of the ladies that I actually had to get back to work because my lunch break is almost over. In reply, she snapped at me, saying "well, I have to cut your brownie since you ordered it and already paid for it, we are busy too you know!" I honestly was shocked that she would be so rude. This place is a real gem. Stopped by today (Saturday) morning to try their #3 Tony. I've had this placed bookmarked for awhile and finally had a chance to stop by when my daughter had a softball game at Pittsburg High. $9.95 for a sandwich piled high was a great deal. I ended up not eating the sandwich right away as I got busy with the game. After the game my daughter saw the sandwich in the truck and jumped all over it. She said it was so good she wanted me to go back and get another one for myself as she didn't want to share. So back we went to get two more sandwiches, another #3 Tony and the Hot Pastrami for my son. We get home and I finally get a chance to eat. It was awesome. The meats were of great quality as was the provolone. The sourdough was soft and slightly chewy. Their stinky sauce was on point and gave it a nice kick. My son is a picky eater so no Mayo or mustard on his hot pastrami but he devoured the whole thing. Staff was friendly and worked quickly. Check in on Yelp to get $1 off your order.
