Food was good, just not sure how you can give eggs, hash browns, and chorizo five stars. It was cooked well and tasted great. I came here around 2 PM on a Thursday, and the place was pretty empty - just one other couple sitting in the dining room. I ended up grabbing a seat at the bar. First off, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which definitely stood out. I ordered a couple of hazy IPAs, which were cold and hit the spot after a long hike. Chips & Salsa: nothing particularly special here. The chips weren't very salted, and while the salsa was good and thankfully not spicy, it was still pretty mid overall. They let me sample the guacamole, which would have been a $4 add-on, but it didn't taste like real avocado to me. It reminded me of the kind of guacamole you get on tacos at cheaper restaurants. Paying $9 for chips and salsa felt a bit steep for what it was. Tom's Classic Sandwich: for some reason I thought this would be a cold sandwich, but it turned out to be more of a hearty grilled chicken sandwich on a hamburger bun. Not the light, refreshing bite I expected, but that's on me for not reading the description closely. That said, the sandwich was still good. It has Cajun seasoning. The fries were actually the highlight: extra crispy and really well done. Overall, the service was a 10/10, and the staff made the experience enjoyable. The food did the job, but it wasn't anything particularly memorable. Love love love Nick's Westside! It's like going to visit a good friend- it has that family vibe. The service is always super friendly and the food is so solid, whether it's breakfast or lunch. We've been in town a month and have gone back 4 times. The machaca salad was so delicious and my husband swears by the Rueben. Said it was done exactly right! He also loved the house-made Bloody Mary! Our breakfast after a long hike was also fantastic. I had the biscuit and gravy (earned it!) and Michael loved Judi's eggs. Wow, this is definitely one of our favorite spots in Sedona! We'll absolutely be coming back whenever we're craving a great burger. After hiking all day, we were seriously craving burgers and found Nick's West Side on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try and wow, we were beyond satisfied. The fries were crispy, hot, and fresh, and the burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful. I ordered the Guinness burger and it was amazing - the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. It'd be a hard sell to tell you though, as a tourist, that you must try Nick's. This looks like a place for locals and it was, in fact, a local who introduced me to the spot. Both inside and out it is remarkably unimpressive: a squat 1-story building with little to no flair but you can't eat flair anyhow. A very big menu is broad enough to cover almost every base from all day breakfasts to BBQ to Mexican specialties and more. To wit, my party of 3 ordered: : * Cheese Enchiladas; * TGBT (turkey, guacamole, bacon, tomato) Sandwich with Onion Rings; and * Victor's Southwest (featuring Chicken Tinga & a hefty serving of those jalapeños) Being with someone I'd not seen in a while might've done some of the heavy lifting but we sat there chatting long past our meal was finished and nobody tried to hurry us along and I was very appreciative of that fact. My meal, which I later described as "delicious" was so satisfying that I actually tried to return to Nick's once more during my visit but found them closed. We've been here twice and love this place. This time was slower than the first time. No worries there. We came around 8:30am. Coffee is still great. After hiking behind the restaurant, we were starving for a hearty breakfast and they delivered. My wife had the Nicks SW Burrito with salsa verde with western potatoes. She slowed her pace at the end but finished the plate with a huge smile on her face I had the Spanish omelette with home fries and Greek sauce. It was a perfect size serving since there was no space in my stomach for anything else. The service was excellent and compliments to the chefs mother for her recipes !! We went here on New Year's Day. Our breakfast was excellent and they were even able to accommodate my gluten free needs.

We saw the great reviews and chose Nick's, the menu looked diverse, which was good for our kids that night bc no one could agree on what type of food they wanted. It was a Tuesday night and not busy at all, but our server was not very attentive. The food was mid at best. My son's brisket sandwich was dry on a burned bun, it looked gross and he did his best to eat half of it. My $26 Mexican food combo plate was definitely not worth the price tag. The "enchilada" was a corn tortilla folded in half with almost no cheese. They forgot the beef taco, when they brought it out it was in a pre-made/formed shell (think store bought Old El Paso shells), not authentic at all even though that's how the menu described their Mexican items. Food was meh, service was mid, then we got hit with a 15% service charge for our party of 5. No explanation, it's not on the menu. But $27 added to our check. We will be back to Sedona, but not to Nick's. Thumbs down, do not recommend. read more

Stopped by Nick's West Side for breakfast this morning before heading to the airport since we wanted something better than the standard hotel breakfast at the Residence Inn. The food was good, reasonably priced, and you can tell this is a spot where locals go--there were definitely some regulars. Our waiter was fast, efficient, and super friendly--he seemed like she could run the whole place on her own, taking orders and getting food out quickly. The interior is a bit outdated, but overall it's a solid breakfast stop with good service and value. read more

Our Happy little group dropped in on a Saturday afternoon and sampled everything from soup to sandwiches to grill specialties and everything was delicious. The bar selections were fit for every taste. Several of the group tried the "Bloody Maria" and loved them! The server was a friendly and happy lady with a huge smile and ponytail (missed her name, sorry.) We were her last group before she was done for the day. Her service was outstanding and sincere. We all echoed the same opinions... we'd come back if we were ever in Sedona again. One last note ... if you like great soups, be sure to try their house-made hamburger soup. We have been in to Nicks to eat many times. Usually for breakfast and we are always more than satisfied. Ingredients are always fresh and tasty. Today we tried the rellano, a tamale and enchilada. The green sauce is the best! We're in our 70's and originally from California. We believe we are experts on authentic Mexican food, we really do! Haha. This is the best we've ever eaten!! The ambiance was disappointing--there was no background music, and the place seemed geared more toward locals than creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. While I have no complaints about my waitress, the manager or owner was quite irritating, spending most of her time gossiping and whispering with local patrons instead of tending to the overall dining experience.
