While on a road trip from Santa Fe to Nevada, we decided to stop in Sedona for the night. Nick's was breakfast and totally hit the spot. My husband and I are from NY City area where diners are life and Nick's food was better than most places we have around us. My husband loved his pancakes and thought the bacon was cooked perfectly. I was a little nervous ordering brisket at a breakfast place but I was pleasantly surprised! It was very tender and flavorful. The rest of the meal was really good as well--biscuits and gravy, eggs over medium, hash browns. The service was quick, allowing us to get on with our day. We had the pleasure of eating here after a day of hiking. We were starving! Nick's did not disappoint. The chicken sandwich was tender, cheesy and delicious. My wife and I noticed the parking lot at Nick's on the West side, though small, was always pretty full. After checking out the reviews, we decided to give it a try for a really late lunch. There was only one other couple there when we arrived, and they left within 5 minutes of our arrival. We were the only ones there and service was good. If you haven't been here, it is kind of an upscale greasy spoon. We both ordered the brisket plate, which comes with Cole slaw and baked beans. The brisket was cooked medium well, which was ok, as the meat was still moist. The spicy BBQ sauce went well with it to give it a little kick. The baked beans were - well they were baked beans. Nothing special, but pretty good. The Cole slaw was good. All-in-all an ok meal, the service was good and it met our needs for that time. The prices seemed slightly high, but not by much. We may give it a try for breakfast next time we're in town. read more

Shelly was amazing! I couldn't decide between the French toast and a sandwich. Shelly told me to try The French toast because they are freshly baked their cinnamon bread in house. It was so awesome. It tasted like the Cinnabon from the mall. We ended up ordering more because my boys ate mine. The spaghetti sauce and the coleslaw were made from scratch. So glad we found this delicious cafe!! Arrived around 10:30 and was warmly greeted immediately.. Was able to sit immediately and offered fresh coffee... The menu has so many wonderful choices and most everything is home made including their chorizo to their cinnamon rolls!! We ate Omelets which were stuffed with meat, cheese and green chilies ... Amazing!!! We also split the worlds BEST homemade cinnamon roll , it was huge and delicious!!!! They also have a great lunch and dinner options ... we will definitely return on our next visit!! We happened to travel to Sedona while winter storm Quiana was also passing through, which made for some beautiful scenery but meant very few restaurants were open! Thankfully Nick's was open for breakfast and we ate here two days in a row! The staff is super friendly, the service was prompt and the food was delicious! I had the eggs judi (yum!) and the breakfast tacos! The pancakes are fluffy and delicious and they are always nearby to refill your drinks! Definitely try this place when you are in town! read more

We stopped in for breakfast during our trip to Sedona. It's a small diner-type atmosphere that lets you kind of know the food will be good. The waitress was attentive and friendly and took care of us well even though she was short-staffed and literally waiting on the entire place. The prices are reasonable and the food is great! The hash-browns are crispy and delicious, and the french toast was awesome! There aren't very many parking spots and every time we drove by, they were full. Give this place a try! Do not waste your time or money. Wanted to go to a local place and this was referred to us. Hamburgers looked like frozen, thin ones from BJ's. They were burnt and dry. Couldn't even eat them. The pulled pork was tasteless even after the waitress eventually brought sauces. The onion rings were greasy. The chips were the only good item. My son was in the bathroom all night from the little bit of hamburger he ate. Service was bad. Took forever to even get the waitresses attention. She was acting like it was all a party.
