Amazing burger, might be one of the best I've ever had. huge patty, juicy and succulent with friendly service and [[HIGHLIGHT]]a really unique vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Even the cup of water was phenomenal so you can tell they pay close attention to details. Finished off the meal with a chocolate chip pecan cookie made by nics mom, perfect way to end the meal. Holy crap that was good! Visiting from out of town I was told by a local to go to Nic's and I'm lucky I was. This is one of the best burgers I've had in my life. That's what they have, burgers and curly fries. Felt like that scene out of Hell or High Water, "so, what don't you want?" If you're in OKC you have to go to Nic's. Messy, juicy, flavor explosion in your mouth. Simple ingredients done to perfection. What a burger should be. FYI - cash only, but there's an ATM across the street.

This is one of those places known for what they do, and what they do... they do very, VERY well. It's simple really. Burger. Grilled onions. Cheese. Plus all the fixings. However, the flavor is somehow dialed up to 200%. For reals. It's certainly one of the best onion burgers in the area. Beware that they do command a high price, but there wont be any room to eat for the rest of the day anyways. It's a monster burger with monster flavor. Cheese oozing, and juice drippin'. This is part of the experience and I enjoyed every bite of it. Good service and experience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My family and I were disappointed by how unclean it was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came early at 10:30 today cause we heard about limited seating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the A/C units had dust and grease on them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one tv that was off had smears.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The buffalo taxidermy had dust and what looked like grime on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The flies were constantly flying around us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar seats had big wear and tear on them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the floor and tables hadn't been cleaned after the breakfast crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is at least nice and the food was good, but not great enough to understand the rating of "best burger place in Oklahoma". I was surprised to see that this place hasn't been inspected since 2024 according to the Yelp inspection report AND that it passed health inspection.

This place isn't only about the cheese burgers and fries, which are very good, it's an experience. Nic is a real character in all the good ways: friendly, talkative and polite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want to experience (one) part of Oklahoma, this is a good start.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There might be as good or better onions burgers around (Tucker's?) but what Tucker's has in cleanliness, seating and modern interiors (see a previous review complaining about cleanliness) this place makes up in character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nice little place. They don't stay open for very long everyday but it is worthy to go there to get great food. The curly fries are awesome, freshly fried, crispy and not oily at all. Service is super quick. The burger is cooked to perfection. It is full of wok hei, which is caramelization to the fullest, I am not sure if I should use a Cantonese cooking term here, but they are very experienced cooks. If you need a good burger, this is place to go. Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10, the restaurant is older but it is very clean Food: 10/10

Nic & Jovon are super friendly! They been running this joint for decades! My second visit here and it's still as tasty & juicy as I remember! Worth our road trip down to OKC!

Nic's is busy for a reason. I've been trying to eat here for years and I finally got to the other day. Nic, who works behind the counter taking orders, was great. The guy who was flipping the burgers was really great, too. The one thing I will complain about is the price. I know eating out can be expensive, but in my opinion, ordering a single patty burger, French fries and a water should not cost $20, which it cost me eating here (this did not include $5 tip.)

The burgers are cooked right in front of you, the smell is intoxicating ... absolute perfection in taste

Stopped in here while driving through Oklahoma on a road trip. Saw this place on the diners drive ins and dives list and thought it was worth checking out. Small and quaint exactly how it was described. There are only two options on this menu, a burger and a cheeseburger. I would have gotten more toppings like bacon or jalapeños but was never asked. All good. Burger was juicy and delicious as is. The fries left a lot to be desired. Not sure if the oil was old or what, but they had a burned taste even though they clearly were not. I'd stop by for a burger again, skip the fries.

Good little spot-great grilled onions on the burger. Fries a bit mistimed for the meal-not knocking the score because of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thin place on the corner of Pennsylvania[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

How much are their burger and fries?

I believe it's around $11 without the drink. I think I paid around $25-$30 last time for two people for burgers, fries, and a drink each

    Where did they move to?

They are at the same location. They opened a second location.

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

The salad was simple but delicious, steaks were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was a little dry for my liking but was good. Our drinks were unique and very good but the show stopper was dessert .... The bread pudding! I've never had anything as good. Raven has mastered bread pudding. Redrock Canyon Grill - Lake Hefner…read more First visit--and I can confidently say this place just earned a spot in our regular date night rotation. We walked in to a packed house, which is always a good sign, but were seated immediately. From there, the experience never missed a beat. Beverly took care of us and was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do, and it shows. We started with margaritas, and when Beverly said they were "perfect," she wasn't overselling it. Smooth, well-balanced, and served ice cold. We're both olive fans, so of course we asked for extras--and they delivered without hesitation. Going in, we made a deal: appetizers or dessert--not both. After hearing about the pineapple upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream, that decision was made pretty quickly. For the main course, Beverly walked us through the menu and the weekly specials: * Rainbow trout with roasted peppers and cucumber salad * 14 oz peppercorn crusted steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli & parmesan I know my wife--steak was the obvious choice for her. I went with the trout. Both dishes were excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly with a light, flavorful sauce that didn't overpower the fish, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. The steak was cooked just right, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli finished with parmesan. What really elevated the night was the hospitality. Kirsten, the manager, stopped by to check on us and took the time to have a genuine conversation. She shared details about patio seating and upcoming live music nights, which we're already planning to come back for. Then came a surprise--she graciously covered our dessert. A classy move that didn't go unnoticed. And that pineapple upside-down cake? Warm, soft, topped with melting vanilla ice cream... absolutely worth skipping the appetizers for. The Bottom Line: Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed but polished atmosphere right on Lake Hefner. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice evening out.

Originally had a 9 PM reservation but was able to replace it with a 7:15 PM reservation. Unfortunately, the road by the restaurant was closed, making it very difficult to find parking and being able to physically walk to the restaurant. Due to construction, we arrived at the restaurant by 7:30 PM, which, as stated per policy that 15 minutes was allowed in order to not get our reservation reservations canceled. My party of three was not able to get seated until a little after 8 PM, not sure why. I believe we were told that they were not enough tables despite our reservation. Honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal but my party and I were a bit confused lol. We were seated in the area of the restaurant that was a bit, secluded from the rest of the floor, I think there were only three tables total in that section. Our server was amazing. His name was Jason. He did such a good job at explaining the dishes we were interested about, gave us really good recommendations and took very well care of us. We ordered a lot of food! Appetizers, we started off with the Korean fried chicken, which was crispy and crunchy. I would get them again as an entrée. We also got the house rolls that came with a gochujang like butter, had a hint of sweetness along with spicy. I ordered the American Wagyu ribeye as recommended by our server Jason. He told us that the rib I would be so soft that a butter knife could cut through it, honestly, it didn't taste as amazing as it sounds. I hate to put that in this review, but maybe it was my unfortunate luck. No complaints though because it was still good, just not as described. Big old chunk of meat, so it was nice being able to take it home as well. I guest at the table ordered the bra, short rib rigatoni, it was very interesting to see the Korean flavors connect with pasta! The other guest at my table had the very short rib with sweet potato grits, the short rib was so flavorful that I'm intrigued to get that next time. I was pleasantly shocked at how much flavor and how tender it was, I was jealous. I'm a big fries girlie, so we ordered the side of fries with spicy ketchup. To my surprise, the ketchup was actually spicy. We also ordered the brussels sprouts as our side, it was addicting. Probably one of the best brussels sprouts I've had. The banana pudding and Keylime pie was for to go, and unfortunately for you guys I did not get dessert to go. Although I will not be able to describe it to you all, the two guests I went with said they were too good. For some odd reason, this visit was so much better and tastier. I would love to come back.

Maht | Chef Kevin…read moreLee's Maht arrives as one of Oklahoma City's most ambitious dining experiences, threading Korean-American influences through a steakhouse framework with results that range from very good to genuinely unforgettable. Start with the sweet shrimp carpaccio stop everything, order this first. It's the rare dish where every element earns its place: delicate, briny sweetness from the shrimp harmonizing in a combination of flavors that felt both surprising and inevitable. The table agreed it was the dish of the night. The strawberry crème bingsu may be the most talked-about dessert in OKC right now, and the hype is earned. Strawberry sorbet, fresh berries, condensed milk, whisper-light bingsu snow, and the crunch of pistachios -- it's architectural and refreshing all at once. We found Maht because of a bingsu video on Instagram, and I've had bingsu in Korea. This is the best I've encountered. In between, the kimchi risotto impresses with genuine kimchi funk and umami depth. The salt + pepper green beans are deceptively simple -- a clean hit of chili heat that disappears off the table. The bokbunja glazed duck delivers on both flavor and presentation, and the snow crab mac and cheese is lush and satisfying, though the crab itself gets a little lost. The crab scallion pancake is generous and well-seasoned; the parker house rolls lean on the chili crunch honey butter (rightfully so). The gochujang lamb chops have good bones but the gochujang pushes a bit hard. The scallop crudo felt like the one course still searching for balance a touch small for the price and slightly oversauced. The New Whiskey Sour with egg white foam branded with "Maht" is a thoughtful touch that delivers. Maht isn't without room to grow, but when it's on and it's on often it's one of the most exciting meals in the state.
