This place is horrible at best. Our breakfast was cold and gross. The biscuits and gravy didn't have any taste and the French toast didn't have thick slices like advertised. The service was awful and the employees are unfriendly. Save yourself $40 and go elsewhere! We will not return if we ever find ourselves in this area. I was pleasantly surprised after reading a few bad reviews. Went for lunch service was great waitress was very attentive. Food seemed very fresh and cooked to order. Was looking for a breakfast place to meet friends besides IHOP and Denney's. Online website says breakfast bar buffet. NOT! Gone 2 years ago for covid and never returned it again. (OK...Change your website then) Got there and they didn't even have enough staff to seat us in the dining area and had to eat in the bar. Food was so-so. I've had worse. Don't recommend the nasty $9.00 no olive, no celery stick, no tabasco, no worcestershire sauce having Bloody Mary though. That I haven't had any worse. Don't recommend nor will I be returning. I really wanted this experience to be good because I like supporting local and small businesses. Sadly our meal was really bad. I ordered chicken fried steak and my wife had chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The steak's breading was burnt and even the pile of gravy on top couldn't save it. The rice pilaf that came with it had hard and dry pieces of chicken and rice. It was as if that rice pilaf had been sitting in a bin for a long time. The pasta in the fettuccine also had hard bits supporting my earlier hypothesis that their food was not cooked to order and was just sitting on top of a warmer. Horrible service. Walked in. Nobody said hello for 10 minutes. Lady up front thought that talking about the ketchup bottles was WAY more important than greeting 3 sets of customers at the door. got the beef stroganoff, it was not appealing to look at, way too saucy, fair taste at best. it was $24, save your money. the server was nice though, they offered to give me something else but since I had eaten the beef and it was not terrible I said no, definitely do not recommend the beef stroganoff. boyfriend had onion rings and a Ruben, those were good, along with my mimosa. read more

The portions are huge, but that doesn't automatically make it great for me. The salad was iceberg which I'm not a fan of. I got the cod au gratin. That was interesting, but nothing to write home about. My favorite thing was for a side I could have fettuccini alfredo and even that portion was large and cheesy. I've been to Nikki's before and have had good experiences but I just get too excited about it. It's a family restaurant that has a full menu, fresh made desserts, full bar and lounge, and a friendly staff. The food is not bad nor over the top great but decent. The portions are generous so bring your appetite but it is a bit bland. The last two times I've been here my order has come out wrong. A bit frustrating considering what they charge for the food. Today my steak was well done when I had asked for medium rare and the eggs came out runny when I asked for poached medium. Grrr. However, our server was great and offered to remedy the problem. I declined being pressed for time at that point, but she went above and beyond to talk to her manager to have it removed from the bill since I didn't finish. I didn't ask for anything of the nature, she took the initiative. That's customer service. I will say that they have the best dinner salad, especially, hands down, their croutons. Slow service. Overpriced for low quality food, I guess that is why they try to compensate by making the meals ridiculously large. I don't eat leftovers so it is just me wasting food if I go here. I also went several different times to see if it was a just a bad day, but it has stayed consistent. I also tried the bar for a drink and discovered they are outrageously priced. When I mentioned to the bartender (she was new) that the price didn't sound right, she asked the manager who said it was correct, it was literally $3+ more than any other bar in the area. If you are looking for Denny's food but double in price, and the same service, this is for you. read more

Nikki's is a very nice place located in the Covington / Maple Valley area, they serve some excellent pasta as a side ! to your main dish ... which is very different from most places where the sides are very small. The prime rib was excellent, made to order (medium well) and served with horseradish and bread/butter, the salad was crisp and plentiful, The pasta again was excellent and I chose the marinara sauce ... on the pricey side but you're sure to be happy. read more

Me and my partner had dinner here the other night . We were told about it from some friends . We drove from North Seattle for dinner and we will do it again . Nikkis is quite and romantic. It also has a warm and family friendly atmosphere . The service was over the top you don't find service like this even at upscale restaurants! Not to many restaurants have the manager come by and also check how everything is going. I wish more restaurants would do this. Food was very reasonable and delicious. My wife and stopped in for lunch and I ordered their Reuben sandwich with potato salad, and my wife ordered their bacon burger with home fries. We've been to this place several times over the years and it's never disappointed us. Their Reuben is freak'n fantastic! Their fries in my opinion are the best in town because they are thick cut and always seasoned perfectly. The burgers are always on point as well. This is a great breakfast and brunch place for your down home comfort food and pies. I really love their salads and their house made ranch. They have huge portions and very friendly staff. Back before the pandemic, they had a really great breakfast buffet which was rare to see these days. At night, they occasionally have live music and some events. Now we livr in a premade wotld and frozen food. Sucks really if you enjoy food and value what you pay for. I been in the industry since I was knee high worked the bottom up pushing brooms and mops.. To owning my own establishments over the years. Real steak beat and breaded as it should be. Gravy was a base but used as a base and built up to taste like it's supposed to! Coffee was ok and I'll give you restautanteurs out here, if you use a broadline purveyer like Farmers ask for other blends. Farmers offers a NW Blend its more expensive than their base but the flavor is so much better if youre not grinding and need a packet service.. Anyway placed filled up and everyone enjoying their time here. Not bad Will bring mama and the cubs back for sure... True real breakfast destinations are going lets support the people who support is! Came in on a Saturday evening at 5pm. Restaurant was pretty dead. We were sat immediately and ordered after looking over the menu. This was our first visit. The waitress was attentive but never smiled. We ordered the black been burgers. Food came in about 10min. The burgers were good, the fries a little greasy for my liking. The worst thing and the reason 3 stars is the price. The pasta dishes were close to $20 and the bugers $12. A little pricey for the quality. The battroom had a baby station in it and was fairly clean with automated dispensers. We order pie which they said was made in house. I doubt it as it tasted like something you would get at Sharis. Jayda, our server was the only bright spot in our meal. Chose Nikki's from the great reviews but now realize they were several years ago and under previous owners. We are not normally complainers but from the house wine (we weren't expecting the finest but this was pretty bad) to the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy that was piled with fake meat and served cold. If it was real meat it could possibly have been canned but was all one color (red) with a heavy smoky smell. It was not even close to roast beef that we are familiar with. Jayda could not have been more pleasant, attentive and concerned about our meal. She's definitely a keeper but the quality of food and drink is not. read more

Been going there since day one, even purchased the nikki's kids meal from Gloria's, back in the day, for the children. Dont go there as much anymore. But I do enjoy the food, French dips and eggs Benedicts are my go to and one of the best. We have been regulars at Nikki's for a while now.on Friday's. We visit because of a bartender named Hellema. We also have developed a relationship with April. Our problem has become extra charges. You are charged $3.00 for an extra plate, a $.25 charge for using a credit card. Yes maybe a small amount but a $3.00 charge for a plate, a $.25 charge for using a credit card? Normally your costs would cover these costs, Nikkis charges for food and drink are rather high. We have decided not to eat at Nikki's anymore and will only pay cash because of the extra charges. read more
