This might be one of my favorite Japanese bbq places I've been to! I've been seeing the long lines for this place for a while now, but coming in on a weekday, seating was instant. They have an AYCE menu as well as some other à la carte items. Their AYCE menu was their Japanese bbq but also included sushi as well. It can be pricey, but I feel like their items were pretty decent quality. Each item you order isn't actually too big, so you're definitely encouraged to get as big a variety of items as you like. It also comes with free ice cream at the end. I think the ice cream is vanilla. The color is yellow, so was expecting a little flavor though

Location: Inside Tangram mall Flushing NYC. Ambiance: Plenty of seating options. Spacious and clean. Bathroom also very clean. Service: Very attentive and helpful. Food: It was decent. I live that there many meat options. I was confused where to start. Tasted great. Cut was enough and the beef marbling also 8/10 for me. Veggies, seafoods, beef, pork, udon. I was a bit full when I went there. But over all. 8/10. All tasted great depending on how you cook it. There was house vanilla ice cream that we got to try also.

Decent price for good quality of AYCE meats (~$60 on a Saturday pre-tax + tip). Came as a group of 4 at 7pm and there was luckily a table available right away. They give you an iPad to order off of and start the table off with their banchan platter, which was very good! Good amount of meat and soft drink options to order from and the service is pretty attentive. You close your meal out with a nice mochi. Only downside was that I did have the runs and my stomach was churning after the meal, but that was bc I ate a ton and the discomfort only lasted that night (so no food poisoning!!) lol Despite that, I'd still return!

TLDR: Great. Very comfortable restaurant, AYCE yakiniku. Miso pork jowl, jo-tan yuzu shio beef tongue, wagyu chuck thick-cut. Lots of egg yolk sauce. Order sizes are small, so don't be shy. Tried this and to be candid, most AYCE places I'm skeptical of. I was surprised at how spacious it was. Design-wise, felt like something you'd see in Asia. You have 90 minutes to eat, 70 minutes to order. So be weary of the time limit, you will not get a final order warning. Keep an eye on ordering because once you're at 70, the menu will lock out and no more orders can be placed. It's a gas grill with a very thing wire grid. The heat is pretty intense so you can get these wonderful sears. I don't need to tell you but don't fill up on the rice and fried goodies. The thick cut pork jowl is marinated in miso and you get this smoky, salty, just umami-rich bite. Amazing stuff. The beef tongue is quite thin and if you sear it hard enough - it almost reminds you of fatty beef but not quite as fatty. If that makes sense. Of all the steak cuts, the wagyu thick-cut chuck is what we got the most of. All-in, comes to about $70 pp which is not terrible considering you can get as crazy as you'd like. I'll be back, I enjoyed it.

4.5 stars overall, from the service to the food. Please know this is an AYCE BBQ place where you grill your own meats. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because for the price, it does not include the dry aged beef and they do not include the bubble tea. That is an additional cost at $8/ounce of dry aged beef. And if you want drinks aside from Fountain drinks, everything is an additional cost. To be fair, the drink prices are pretty standard restaurant prices like a beer mug is $7.99. Sake cans and bottles are also available for additional cost. The price includes most items on the digital menu and a free mochi ice cream dessert. You order on the iPad and it goes to the kitchen electronically. Our waitress was helpful with the questions we had as some menu items were not all descriptive or translated from the Chinese/Kanji as written. The protein choices include: ribeye, marbled beef, fried chicken or creamy chicken, salmon, squid, lamb, clams and pork! There's many more options, just can't list it all. Several cooked items available as well like rice bowls and noodles. Some dishes come with sauces or have sauce on them.

Came here for a birthday ayce dinner celebration, service was very fast and professional. 70 minutes to order all ayce food/soda Weekday price $55/person (Monday-Thursday) Weekend/holiday price $60/person (Friday-Sunday) Current weekday deal: every 3 people paying the 4th person eats for free (Monday-Thursday only) no end date for promotion announced yet as of 11/11/2025. We ordered Signature Mixed Yakiniku beef, thinly sliced wagyu beef, thick wagyu, pork jowl, beef tongue, galbi, clams, shrimp Every dish was pretty good quality and seemed fresh. Our favorite dishes were the Signature Mixed Yakiniku beef, thinly sliced wagyu, and beef tongue Overall: I would definitely come back here especially with the promotion. It was worth it. Highly recommend for family and friends.

New Japanese yakiniku place for about $70/pp after tip and tax. It's AYCE timed at exactly 90 minutes, and they'll notify you like 20 minutes before time for last call. Each portion you order is about 4 very thin slices of meat, so you have to order a lot at once. My party of 4 cleared about 65 orders of food. Service was good, and non alcoholic beverages (fountain drinks) are included in the cost. Our main issue with this place is that every single beef dish tastes the same. Nothing differentiated any of the cuts (besides the mixed yakiniku meat in a soy sauce pot which was a thicker cut). The meat wasn't super well seasoned, and the sauce they put sat on top of the meat not doing anything. Nothing really stood out from the meal so probably won't be coming back again.

    Matt A.

Lets start with the good, the service was great refills on drinks were very easy, they changed our grill when it needed to be changed and offered suggestions on what they liked on the menu. The shrimp came peeled which was a nice touch under the circumstances. The yakiniku meat was pretty good and well seasoned. The bad, honestly all the sides tasted like they had grabbed a bag of frozen food from a supermarket and heated it up the buldak shrimp tempura tasted like buldak sauce on a costco tempura. The meat wasn't all that seasoned including the marinated meat. For $65 after tax I think it's a little steep for the area, if the meats were a bit more aggressively seasoned I'd probably come back and change my stance.

We were walking around Tangram Mall and saw a new restaurant open: Nikishou Sakai. The hostess was dressed in a kimono and greeted guests. Ambience: the decor and atmosphere was modern and slightly higher end. Walking in, they had a glass case with dry aged meats on display. Food: it was an $55/person AYCE experience where you ordered food off a tablet. The portion sizes of each order consisted of 4 -6 slices of meat. The food is cooked on a grill at your table. If you had Japanese style bbq at Gyu Kaku, then this is essentially the same but with a slightly smaller menu. The meats were yummy when grilled.

First time trying this place out and we really enjoyed it. Came in on Monday around 4pm and was seated right away. The place is huge and had ample seating for small and big groups. During the weekends I would def try to get a reservation. We really liked ordering from the tabet. It was super easy to use and made ordering super efficient. There is so much to choose from. The cuts of meat were incredible and super tasty. For $55 per person we thought it was such a great value. The staff was also really attentive.

We came to Nikushou Sakai for a birthday on a Wed night, so there was no wait time. Might be different on weekends, but there is a small seating area in the front where you can sit on the floor and there is plenty to do in tangram in the meantime. I think the price of $54.99pp for M-Th, and $59.99pp F-Sun is a great value for AYCE. Soft drinks are included. There is a 90min dining time and you are able to order dry aged meat for an additional cost. The variety is decent, but items are a hit or a miss. I was not a fan of the clams and cold noodles. I like how we can order from a tablet, but I don't like that there is only one grill because it takes so long to cook some items.

We went on a Tuesday around 7 so it wasnt super packed. Most of the meat we got just werent good and we only liked two of the cuts. The grill was also super slow so it took 10-15 minutes for each meat to grill and you only had 90 minutes to sit and eat. The soda is also very flat with no bubble at all. They also took forver to bring the meat out and would bring the wrong meat. I think overall they should have more marinated meat because most of the meat even with the sauce wasnt that good. But the place is nice and dark and out waiter was nice. They also gave us small marshmellows when we saw other tables get huge ones.

Came here with a few friends for my birthday and we all left satisfied with full bellies. Tried this place for my birthday the other day and I absolutely loved everything that we ordered. This place is All You Can Eat so just be mindful of how full you are before reserving. We were given 90 minutes to order from a tablet (very easy to navigate). I am not too sure of everything we ordered but we received the platter of appetizers first, followed closely by our tablet order. Not only did the food arrive to the table very quickly but the presentation for everything was on point as well. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and we found a couple of Labubus hidden around that we took some photos with. Not only was the interior very nice with comfy seats but the service was also great! Our servers name was Janet and she was super sweet, helping us cook when we forgot to turn our food on the grill, changing the grill multiple times for us once she saw it was blackened, educating us on what sauces to use and how to use them and many other scenarios as well! She was super attentive to us and always made sure that we were doing good and everything was ok with our food. Overall, this place is a little pricey for just a normal night out however, I do not regret choosing this place. Whether it was the meat quality or the service quality, everything was perfect and we all enjoyed ourselves!

The menu is entirely in Spanish but the waiters can help if needed. We ordered the Gobernador taco, a half dozen shrimp, the regular guacamole and the aguachiles verdes. The Gobernador was a large size - really more like a mini quesadilla than a taco in my mind. It was flavorful and filled with seafood. The half dozen shrimp were cooked well, but a little hard and messy to peel. The guac was good, a little oily but tasty. The aguachiles were really good but borderline too spicy for me. The spice continued to build as I ate them and it did feel less enjoyable but it was good to start. My main grievance with this restaurant was how loud it was. I was yelling and struggling to hear what my friend or the waiter said, but the food was delicious. Maybe if it were less crowded it would be ok, but definitely not a great atmosphere for having a conversation.

Interesting enough, while the owner is from Wenzhou, their main chef is from Fu Zhou. Hence I definitely see some Fukinese influences here as well, such as their famous Buddha Jumped Over The Wall Soup that requires advance notice. Anyway, the reason I first visited this restaurant was because they have a great lunch special from Monday to Saturday. You can choose three items and a soup for $8, or four items and a soup for $9. I gave that a try a few months back and thought the food was solid. Due to my first experience, I decided to come try their dinner offerings with my family recently. We ordered a bunch of dishes and was overall please. While the best dish of the night may have been the Salt & Pepper Pork Chop, it's hard not to enjoy Ginger & Scallion Twin Lobsters for $29.88 right? The Shi Li Xiang Stir-Fry (Mixed Seafood w/ XO Sauce) and Wenzhou Style Dried Tofu w/ Smoked Pork were pretty good too. Unfortunately, the cold appetizers were not as satisfying. While slightly overcooked, the Boiled Pig Kidney was still decent. The Fried Belt Fish was okay, and I did not really like the Jelly Fish & Cumcumber or the freebies they gave us. As a whole, I thought the dinner was not bad and I would return to try more dishes. Nothing here really blew my mind, but the prices are so inviting.
