    Sauced momo

I found this place stalking the area on google maps and it was interesting haha. Something happened with my order so Nir ended up giving it for free, which was really nice of him and shows the integrity of this business. Equipment issues is not something in anyone's control and everyone during the interaction was genuine. There is enough street parking in the neighborhood, limited shade, okay place to walk around day time ( kind of near a dead Indian town). Its legitimate family run in a neighborhood area. You call the number to place an order; it takes 30 min to cook, but I highly recommend calling a day before so that they can plan for pick up instead of in the area and popping in with notice. Cash or zelle ($12 for 10). Homecooked food. Momos are Nepalese dumplings. The dumplings have great flavor and a homemade texture skin. Good for if you miss moms cooking. The chicken meat is quite fragrant- with a distinct curry powder flavor but also has the richness of chicken broth and green onion/chive. (Not biased). The sauce is kind of a slight tomatoey curry ( more like a not heavy cream), but has a spice that builds up the more you eat it. They packaged it so nicely (double bag with nice boxes, a big portion) that it remained hot on our way, and they gave 3 sauces. No sit down, literally pick up, but the mall is a quick ride down the street or a park within walking distance. Overall, I think Nir and his family are very responsible. Even in my previous inquiry through text, Nir called me himself to answer my questions on ordering. I was impressed by how they handled the situation, because honestly I was okay with walking around and waiting but they insisted and offered and they didn't have to. Even calling me to make sure I was updated on the situation and came back. Integrity just speaks volumes to me in this day and age of service. I think an online google form and pick up slots would be nice to work around schedules. The dumplings have good flavor and a unique profile. Im happy to have been able to try and thank you for the experience. If you plan to be in the area please support :).

The momos themselves are cooked perfectly, soft, juicy, and packed with flavor.

The food here is VERY authentic compared to what I ate in Nepal, and even possibly better! They have some great super authentic Nepali options on the menu that I have not seen offered in other Nepali restaurants. The veggie momos are probably the best ones I've ever had in the US! Texture and flavor of the filling was 10/10. Also served with an unbelievably tasty dipping sauce. My Chana masala was also outstanding; the sauce had the perfect rich flavor, creamy texture, and amount of spice. Even the rice was flavorful, delicious, and had a perfect fluffy fresh consistency. If I'm eating basmati rice straight out of the bowl you know this place is legit. Service was great and friendly, and loved the cute boat shaped dishes as well. We will definitely be back.

We tried the volcano momo, butter chicken, ctm chicken, veggie samosas, and the tandoori chicken. All were soo delicious. You can literally smell the food from the parking lot. Drink selection is nice. You can choose from lager, pilsner, ipa....or simply a classic mango lassi. Parking is ample as this is a private court area right of PCH. My only suggestion is that the volcano momo should be redesigned. The flame is too big for the silver platter and it can cause things/people to get burned if not careful.

Update as of August 16th, 2026…read more We haven't been there in a few months, so we decided to take my mom. We were welcomed by new staff there. Let me tell you, the staff before was fine, but this staff now is excellent. We had the opportunity to meet Aditya, who was our server, and he was incredible, along with this young lady, who is probably one of the sweetest waitresses we've met. They had a few other people working that were very friendly, and going to the restaurant is even more enjoyable. Food is always going to be good there, and they are very consistent. India Restaurant is our go to restaurant in Artesia Service is fast Food is very tasty Chicken Tikka is my favorite out of all Indian restaurants I have been to Keema samosas very good Bindi, Naan, Tandoori chicken is all good We have never had a bad meal in the last 20 years we have been going Don't do the buffet

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food in a pleasant atmosphere…read more The hubby and I came to meet up with another couple for a weekend lunch. When we got there at 11:30 it was quite empty, but by the time we left it was nearly full--a popular spot, and we could see why. We were rather pleasantly surprised at how upscale it looked in here--all cloth napkins, white tablecloths, and a recently renovated-looking interior with lots of dark wood. There were lots of options on their lunch special menu, which they even have on the weekends, and even more on their regular menu. I had the paneer tikka masala lunch special and the hubby had the saag paneer lunch special. All the lunch specials come with rice, salad greens, lentil soup, naan, a mini samosa (on attractive metal serving ware), along with self serve coffee and chai. At $16.95 as of this writing, we thought it was a great deal. The hubby and I shared our food and thought it was very good overall. I thought the saag was a touch too salty but it didn't mean I hated it. They do serve alcohol here, although we didn't imbibe on our visit. As for parking, they have a small front parking lot and a larger back lot (which we weren't aware of until our friends told us). If you want good Indian food with very attentive service in a slightly upscale setting, this is a good choice.
