Nino's is geographically convenient for me, but I think I would be willing to travel for the Grandma slice. The chicken roll is good too. In fact, I've liked most of the things I've tried here, except the rice ball, which just wasn't my bag. The guys, as mentioned by other reviewers, are great. I appreciate their knowing grins when I fail to remove my sunglasses while ordering on Saturday or Sunday 'mornings.' I've heard some folks complain that the pizza was a bit on the greasy side, which it sometime is, but it is still quite delectable. read more

We got the gran mama's and the Sophia Loren. Crust and sauce on both were awesome- the Sophia Loren had wayyyyyy too much garlic. Overall a solid slice spot. read more

Three months ago I would have given Nino's 5 stars. Rice balls WERE the best. What happened,???? Now they are tasteless. The pizza, maybe go during the day and not towards closing time? Ordered food to take home. The pizza slices were just warm when I arrived home. The special rice ball was ice cold. And as I waited for my order, giving them a credit card. They told me that their machine was broken for two days. Hey, put a sign in the window. Had to go to a bank, pay a fee and get the cash. Had to wait another 15 plus minutes for the food that was dried out, cold. I dumped everything when I arrived home. I will never go back again. read more

We absolutely LOVE this pizza. The crust is perfect- and flavorful. Just the right amount of crunch with garlic and butter taste. The marinara sauce delicious, and the cheese is put directly on top of the dough, and then topped with the marinara so you get the delicious buttery cheesey bread flavor and the hot salty marinara separately. Delish! We've had other pizza in the neighborhood and in NYC and nothing beats the Grandma pie at Ninos for us. read more

Nino's may be arguably one of the best pizza joints in Brooklyn. Their pizza is made with a fantastic sauce that has just the right amount of kick to it without being too spicy. And the crust is truly magnificent! For many pizza places, the crust has always been a sticking point for me. Either it is too chewy or too dry but they have really created the perfect texture that is consistently great! This is a small, neighborhood place with the same staff who work quickly to get you a pie to remember. If you are looking for some legit New York pizza, you could do worse. read more

Nino's pizza is a pretty good place. Their grand ma ma is arguably the best in Brooklyn. I always get their mozzarella sticks, they are perfect for when you are hungry, but don't want to eat a meal. When it comes to pizza, its OK, but a few touches could be added. Finally, I gave this place 3 stars because its too expensive. A slice of pizza for $3 is a bit too much. Awful pizza worse service. Ordered a pie and waited the usual 15~ minutes for a fresh pie only to receive a cold stale pie, probably reheated from the window. It's no Grimaldi's or Lombardi's, but Nino's has an unbelievable tasty pizza. I highly recommend the Sophia Loren pie. It has a slightly thicker crust that is still crunchy, fresh tomatoes, basil and lots of garlic with fresh mozzarella. read more

Was in the neighborhood and was recommended by a pal to check this place out as they supposedly had good pizza. I wouldnt know because at first I was ignored, I guess I wasnt a regular and didnt address the workers by name and am not a customer that eats every waking meal at his place. Pardon me! After a few moments and being skipped by several, ha, it was my time to order. Okay I decided on a sicilian square, I told the guy behind the counter and this guy proceeds to pick up the corner square that was significantly and horribly burnt. No bueno! I tell him lets try again, give me a square and not the burnt one, I pointed to another slice and said how about that one. I gestured to a nice looking one, far from the burnt one and this fella decides to pick the one that was the cousin of the burnt one. At this point after getting skipped, waiting for a few minutes and being ignored I basically had enough. I advised the fella a few choice words in Spanish and took my cane and top hat and exited the store. I wil never go back again as I got in my vehicle and wanted my old reliable. L and B's my all time fav wouldve been a 20 minute drive and I was hungry, so instead I went to an old familiar spot Original Pizza on 68 and 4th. The food is very, very good -- I especially love their penne al a vodka -- so I definitely give a good review for that!! Service is a bit hit or miss. When ordering delivery, sometimes the food arrives in a decent amount of time, other times I'm waiting almost an hour -- only to call and be told they just left and when they arrive, items are missing...so I have to wait some more (happened several times). Sometimes when I call to place an order, the person on the other line speaks limited English and it takes forever to accurately take the order (happened several times). And one time I placed an order of penne al a vodka for pick up, waited 20 minutes before I left my apartment, it took another 15 minutes to walk there, and when I arrived it wasn't ready. I waited another 25 minutes outside with my dog in the freezing cold of winter and was told it would be done soon. I eventually just left and ordered Chinese next door...I know it doesn't take an hour to cook pasta and toss it in some sauce. I consider this place a necessary evil -- necessary to wait forever to get delicious food. read more

I ordered a grandma pizza with extra cheese. I was told it would be $5 extra. I ordered 12 wings and was asked if I wanted hot or mild. I choose mild. After a long wait the bottom of the pizza box was soggy and the pizza was cold. Extra cheese? you have to be kidding. If I didn't order extra cheese would there be just a tiny bit of cheese. Guess what? The wings were hot not mild and not very good. I didn't get much satisfaction on the pizza but they did say they would send another of wings after asking if I ate them. I declined. Most people I know say great things about Nino's but not me. read more

After seeing the positive reviews, we ordered delivery from here when we had some family in from out of town. While it wasn't bad by any means, it most certainly isn't the best pizza in the area. The grandma pizza was good but the plain was just so-so. You won't be disappointed eating this pizza but you also won't think you're eating Grimaldi's. read more

Egg plant Parmesan slice? I don't know what I got, I just know it was good! There's always a wait, but the line moves quick. Perhaps it's a New York thing, but I'm not use to pizzerias rebaking the pizza for a nice crispy texture prior to handing it to the consumer. On the west coast, it's simply taken from under a heating lamp and placed on a plate for you. Soooo, you can only image how surprised and happy I was to get a "fresh" slice in a few mins of ordering! I am so happy I live nearby, because I will definitely go back for slice after slice... next thing you know, I'll be there ordering full pies for myself. read more

BEST PIZZA IN NYC PERIOD!!!! This holiday season my family did three taste tests. We put Ninos against Di Faras, Spumoni Gardens, and a few others. Ninos regular square won hands down every time. They may have pizza people like, but they are not very decent to their neighbors. Drilling, hammering, etc until 11PM on a weekday and then more of the same started at 11am isn't the ideal setting for anyone working an overnight shift. When I called to ask how long the drilling etc would go on, I was told indefinitely and that I should take a sleeping pill and wear headphones (I seem to have to wear headphones all the time around here). When I asked who owned the building, the guy on the phone said he owned it with his brothers but he refused to give me his name. Nice. Great neighbors if you don't have to sleep or work and if you like the smell of pizza sauce in your bathroom.. PS. I am looking for an apt away from this mess of a street (91st and 3rd Ave) read more
