I have been eating at Nisa's Thai 3 times a week for about 3 years and i have not had a bad meal yet!! Although i do not consider myself an expert on Thai food, I have had Thai cuisine in different areas of Thailand in many parts of the USA. I consider this food outstanding compared with anywhere i have ever eaten Thai. The staff there is friendly. They always serve with a smile and a positive attitude. They have a good selection of Thai and Domestic beer. The wine list is considerable for a small restaurant and i am surprised by the quality of the wines they serve. I found the red wines delicious and they had different varieties of white wines that ranged from Sweet to dry. I find it strange that "Honey D" did not enjoy the food there, but considering all the positive reviews here i think it is a pretty safe bet that you will always get good service and great food at Nisa's Thai. read more

I've lived in the area for 2 years now and visit Nisa's frequently. It is clean and comfortable, and nearly everything I've gotten has been delicious. For starters, I get the jasmine tea, which smells and tastes delicious. I frequently order Nisa's Pad Thai, which has fabulous crispy chicken pieces atop very good Pad Thai. The bean sprouts that come with it are a good contrasting flavor and texture. I also love Pad Kee Mao, which has a great sauce and tasty wide noodles. The only dish I haven't been crazy about so far is the Red Mountain. It's delicious, but served in a "crispy" bowl that only stays crispy on the edges and becomes a soggy mush at the bottom of the bowl. A combination of ginger and coconut ice creams is a delicious way to finish off the meal. I'd especially recommend going for lunch, as you get a tasty appetizer, a salad with amazing ginger dressing, and entree for an excellent price. My only fault is that Fox News is frequently playing in the bar area, and don't get Nisa started on politics, but otherwise a great experience every time. What a unique Thai restaurant with authentic flavors! It's located on Washington Street in Canton, MA right across from the Ruta Juice Bar. I highly suggest that you don't use the Walgreens parking lot to park because you could get towed so street parking is what I am really aiming at here! I am a frequent customer of the owner, Nisa, since I work down the street from her. She is so sweet and loves having great conversations. The artwork is beautiful and represents the traditional Thai cuisine; her husband who doesn't work in the restaurant actually helped pick out the artwork and I can say that he did a great job! The food is super fresh, delicious and wholesome. My favorite appetizer to get from Nisa's is the Shrimp Summer Rolls because it's made with fresh vegetables and of course the shrimp. For lunch, I get my usual...Nisa's Fried Rice. It has eggs,zucchini, carrots, green beans, shrimp, chicken, beef and more assorted vegetables. It's a good sized portion because I usually finish half and eat the other half for dinner. Dinner is always a toss up because I want everything haha!! I tend to go towards the noodles and get their Pad Kee Mao and depending on what kind of meat I want, the beef, chicken and tofu are all great options. It's made with stir fried flat noodles with vegetables in mouth watering chili sauce. My other favorite noodle dish is Pad See Yoo. I like it because it's slightly on the sweeter side and I like that they change up the vegetable assortment instead of green peppers, red peppers and onions. It has Chinese broccoli, carrots, and fried eggs. After dinner, you usually crave something sweet and I recommend getting the fried banana! I have been going to Nisa's for over 2 years now. I havent seen any place detoriate so much in terms of service and food quality. The woman who is at the counter (owner?) is very rude. Last week I visited this place with a girl friend for lunch. There was hardly anyone and we asked her that we dont want to site at the window. She insisted that we sit at the window table and they had to do some "setup work" on other tables. We took that option and went ahead with ordering our lunch. I ordered the Green Curry with Shrimp and my girl friend who is a vegan ordered Pad Kee Mao with Tofu. Lunch came 10 mins later. My Green Curry had just 1 piece of Shirmp and was very watery. The Pad Kee Mao didnt look appeasing too and was hardly warm. After taking a few bites, I noticed that there was a long hair in my Green curry and my girl friend saw that there was a piece of what looked like a chunk of beef in her vegan Pad Kee Mao. We asked for the owner and upon explaining to her that we were shocked to see such carelessness from her kitchen staff, she was unapologetic and told us that the hair cannot be from the kitchen and asked my friend to just push aside the chunk of meet to the side. I insisted that both of our hairs were brunette/blonde and the hair in the curry was black, but she didnt accept it and said if I didnt like the dish I should order something else. She also made a comment that my girl friend who is a vegan shouldnt be eating out in "asian" places if she cannot tolerate a little bit of meat!! We keep wanting to order from here. The food is fair at best but like to support local. In the past month they have screwed up 3 take out orders. Even after reminding of the mistakes they would continue to get it wrong. The final straw was last week when we got shrimp in both Pad Thai orders and I am allergic to shrimp. We called right away when we got home and she blamed the kitchen. I asked if they could deliver new ones and she said NO. The order was over 65.00 and she gave me a 10.00 credit. We went here on a whim...craving spicy food in the suburbs. What a gem. The proprietor was incredibly friendly, solicitous without being overbearing, and polite. The place was small, with a few regulars at tables on a Sunday night, but tons of people coming in for take-out. Spotlessly clean and nice decor for a suburban restaurant. Among the assortment of vaguely pan-Asian dishes, we found a couple of authentic Thai ones that were outstanding (chicken ka pow, curry puffs, steak pad prik) and very reasonable. Nisas is the best Thai south of the city. The food here is always hot delicious and relatively consistent (just don't be the last order in the kitchen on the deadest night of the week). The Green Curry and Spicy Basil Pad Thai are my absolute favorites. Nisas fried rice is also a household favorite. Nisa is a great woman who cares about the service and quality of her restaurant and makes it a point to personally get to know her clientele. Tried a take out order recently, very great service taking my order over the phone and I was greeted right when I walked in to pick it up! I tried the Bhok Tak soup (house special) and my mouth was exploding with flavor, I couldn't wait for the next bite. It had some squid, a shrimp and one scallop. It was just right! This soup was special all right, it had a fiery kick to it, but it wasn't too hot. The best was the Vegetable Choo Chee Curry!!! It included zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, broccoli, green beans, red and green peppers, snow peas, mushrooms and the best part authentic sweet Thai Basil! This restaurant is a disgrace to Thai food. The pad Thai was bland and lacked all the nuances of true pad Thai. The "Thai wings" were just chicken wings fried with a dipping sauce similar to Chinese duck sauce. The "orange chicken" was swimming in "sauce" that was the consistency juice and a completely overpowering orange flavor. The side of white rice was bland and mushy. I was very shocked to read this received moderate let alone high scores. If you are in the area with a desire for Thai, I strongly urge you to wait until you get closer to the city. Little Duck in Quincy is pretty good. Montein in theatre district, Boston is my favorite. Best of luck. Avoid this place if you've ever had Thai food. read more

The food is delicious, but the service was what killed this place. We went there on Saturday around 6, and there were only two tables being served (only a waiter and waitress were working along with what seemed to be the owner). They sat us down, and we waited a few minutes before the waiter came to us, and asked us for our order. I told him we would each like some water, and he was surprised we didn't get any yet. As he went to get the water, two more tables of two were seated. As the waiter came back with our water, he took down our order (an appetizer, and two entrees). I then noticed as we waited nearly 10 minutes for our appetizer (fried tofu), that the other two tables which were seated after us received their meals. After we finished the appetizer, it took several minutes for the waiter to come over and pick up the plates. A few minutes after, he brought just my entrée. We had to wait an additional 5 minutes or so for my girlfriend to get her entrée. After we ate our meals, the waitress came over, and I told her to wrap up my girlfriend's meal to go. As we were waiting for the wrapped food, the owner came over with our check, along with the checks of the other two tables that came in after us. Yes, they actually received their food, and were done way before us, but yet they didn't receive their checks earlier than we did. All three tables paid almost simultaneously, and the owner came by and picked up all three tables checks with payment. As she went back to the front register, a takeout customer came in and she began to bullshit with this customer for several minutes as we waited to get our checks back. Finally, the waitress noticed this and ran over to her to pick up all three tables checks, and returned them back. When she came to our table I asked her about my girlfriend's food, and she apologized for really spacing it out. I always like Nisa's Pad Thai and Pad See Yoo for sure and it was delicious as always..the reason I leave only three stars are the vegetables in my fried rice wasn't fresh and they didn't put utensils for my take-out..I ordered a Nisa's Fried Rice and broccolis were all yellowish and the carrots even looked very dry and it was dry and hard. At least the noodles were good and the fried rice wasn't too salty nor bland so that was good. Lastly, I really hope the restaurant staffs work more on take-out orders instead of thinking the utensils, take out bags, and take out menus are all the extra money.. read more
