My FAVORITE Thai restaurant. I have been all around the USA trying new Thai places everywhere I go and this is by far my favorite. I get the same thing everywhere I go so that I can compare... The Chicken Satay is the best I have ever had. The chicken is moist and tender with a delicious marinade. The peanut sauce is perfection. If I could, I would order it in a cup and drink it. A little spicy, but just right. The Summer rolls are great. I prefer dipping them in peanut sauce rather than the plum sauce that they are served with. Mmm mmm mmm. And, of course, it wouldn't be complete without some steamed white rice cooked just right (trust me, it is possible to mess it up). Nisa is most well known for her Pad Thai. She came from Thailand almost 30 years ago and brought her recipes with her. They remain unchanged and, therefore, authentic. This place has delicious Thai. Their prices are reasonable and their food is definitely worth it. I've only had delivery so I can't speak for the ambiance, but I can speak to the quality of the food. So far I've had a few types of curry, their "drunken noodles", and some of their tofu dishes. All were excellent. And the spice is great. I tend to like my food spicier and these are very well seasoned. Highly recommeded. read more

Two of my friends and I near Canton and were craving Thai food for dinner. After a quick Google and Yelp search we decided on Nisa's. For appetizers, we got the curry puffs and the crispy Thai rolls. Despite the name, the curry puffs did not have a strong taste of curry, if at all - but they were still very good and definitely hit the spot. The three of us all got some version of Pad Thai - all were fabulous and were generous in portion. The service was slightly slow towards the end, we waited for a while for our food to be wrapped up and to be given the bill. A server that was not ours actually took the plates from our table. It is definitely going to be a regular for my friend that lives in the area. Despite the service, which I think was a fluke from the other reviews, I would definitely push to go back when I'm down there to visit her! read more

It's just ok. Been to many Thai resteraunts. Had shrimp summer roll, probably one of the worst I've eaten. Just tasteless. Peanut sauce that goes with it was good. Dinner I had one of their specials, spicy basil soft shell crabs this was very good. Also good was the mango with sticky rice although mango was not ripe and had that pine taste, sticky rice part was great. Staff nice. 3 stars because I had much better elsewhere. read more

Absolutely excellent Thai food. Every dish was delicious and amongst the best I have tasted. My boyfriend ordered his favorite, which was slightly off menu. We make it often at home and what we tasted tonight was mind-blowing. Staff was all very courteous and friendly and the decor was modern and comfortable. Lighting was just right and the one TV here is for the area where you wait for take-out allowing for a dinner with conversation. We'll definitely be back. read more

Yum. A consistently fabulous place to eat. Every time I go, I split a pad thai and appetizer sampler with a friend. The food is tasty and the peanut sauce is the cherry on top. Looking for a new favorite local place, I've enjoyed many lunches and several dinners (take-out too) at Nisa's Thai restaurant in Canton center right on Washington Street. I find street parking nearby so that's a plus. My favorite dish is the curry. I adore the Massaman curry, as well as the yellow curry, and recently had the Tofu which I actually like. Coconut milk in the recipes is delicious. Upgrade to the brown rice which is nutty and healthier, plus I always order the Thai Jasmine hot tea. Picked up a take-out lunch order for the office plus a dinner takeout. Cute lunch place that would be a nice option for a casual sit-down experience one day. Food was very good (definitely on the better end of the suburban Thai options I've had). Really liked the chicken pad thai, the beef macadamia, and the beef pad see yoo. I also tried the Thai chicken wings and the shrimp summer rolls (both were just so-so, I would pass next time). The only minus is street parking on a busy main street is the main choice. read more

Nisa's Thai is a good Thai restaurant. So far, I have only tried the Spicy Basil Pad Thai, a Cashew Nut Chicken Stir-Fry and a couple of their soups. The Thai Iced Tea was great. If you haven't tried this staple drink at a Thai restaurant, make sure you do... You are missing out! I was dissapointed because I expected the Fisherman soup and the Spicy Basil Pad Thai to be spicier than what I got. They were both prepared "mild". My girl Nisa knows what she's doing. I've become a take-out regular here since i moved to canton 2 years ago. Seriously bombbbb thai food. I've tried a bunch of things on the menu, but my faves have to be the chicken satay, pineapple fried rice, udon noodles and of course the pad thai. Hands down best pad thai i've ever had. Even better than at Brown Sugar on Comm ave. I've never had dinner here because i usually only go out to eat in legacy (if i wanna stay local) or in town. But i get little brown bags of goodness to go once a week and Nisa always chats me up for a few minutes about work and cars and business. She's so personable and great and it shows that this place is ran with love by her and her family. nom nomsss read more

OK, this place is terrific! Talk about scrumptious! From the pad thai (my gf loves it!) to the curry dishes. YUM! The waitstaff is unbelievably friendly. They aren't over-compensating, but just right. And the owners are amazing. They come out & chit-chat (again, not excessively) with the guests, which makes for a great environment. We have also picked food up from there, and they are always on time and SO polite! Lat time we went in, they told my girlfriend how pretty she was. They are just genuinely nice people. We tried this place for the first time since moving to Sharon in April. We were very impressed with the quality of the food. Particularly (for me at least) the Crispy Chicken Fried Rice was incredible. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the absence of sticky rice on the menu. Otherwise everything went great. We got take out - the wait wasn't awesome but wasn't bad either -about 30 mins from the time of order on the phone to walking out with the booty. We'll definitely be returning and hope that Nisa becomes our go-to Thai place now that we're in the 'burbs. read more

What a unique Thai restaurant with authentic flavors! It's located on Washington Street in Canton, MA right across from the Ruta Juice Bar. I highly suggest that you don't use the Walgreens parking lot to park because you could get towed so street parking is what I am really aiming at here! I am a frequent customer of the owner, Nisa, since I work down the street from her. She is so sweet and loves having great conversations. The artwork is beautiful and represents the traditional Thai cuisine; her husband who doesn't work in the restaurant actually helped pick out the artwork and I can say that he did a great job! The food is super fresh, delicious and wholesome. My favorite appetizer to get from Nisa's is the Shrimp Summer Rolls because it's made with fresh vegetables and of course the shrimp. For lunch, I get my usual...Nisa's Fried Rice. It has eggs,zucchini, carrots, green beans, shrimp, chicken, beef and more assorted vegetables. It's a good sized portion because I usually finish half and eat the other half for dinner. Dinner is always a toss up because I want everything haha!! I tend to go towards the noodles and get their Pad Kee Mao and depending on what kind of meat I want, the beef, chicken and tofu are all great options. It's made with stir fried flat noodles with vegetables in mouth watering chili sauce. My other favorite noodle dish is Pad See Yoo. I like it because it's slightly on the sweeter side and I like that they change up the vegetable assortment instead of green peppers, red peppers and onions. It has Chinese broccoli, carrots, and fried eggs. After dinner, you usually crave something sweet and I recommend getting the fried banana! I'm a pad thai junky so I will admit that both times I've eaten here I've only had pad thai. However, it's reasonably priced and toward the top of my pad thai favorites. They put their bean sprouts on the side rather than mix them in which some might appreciate. Dinner Veggie Pad Thai only $8.95! Leftovers yahy! My company had the Chicken Fried Rice. The rice was flavorful and moist (unlike chinese friend rice). The chicken was lightly fried and perfectly crispy despite sitting on top of a steaming pile of rice. Thai ice tea was tasty but a bit creamier and sweeter than what I've had before. I enjoyed it but it might be a bit much or too heavy for others. Wine and a few bottled beers but no mixed drinks. Not typical of a thai place anyway so no "stars" lost there. Service left a bit to be desired (main reason for loss of 5th star). There aren't a lot of tables (12ish) and I saw 2 waitresses and a hostess so not sure why we waited almost 20 minutes from end of meal until exiting the restaurant. I think the issue is that no one is solely responsible for their own tables. One person sat us, another took our order, another refilled my water (I had to flag someone down), another one came back for our bill and another one brought it back. I understand the team approach and wait staff helping each other when needed but they really need to consider assigning tables so that waitresses have a sense of how long customers have been waiting, if they've been checked on, if their drinks have been refilled etc. There was no awareness of our needs as a table once the order had been placed. I really love living down the street from this place and will give the dine-in experience another shot and hope they read this review :) Otherwise it will be take out only. read more

The food here is so good. The Panang Curry with tofu is out of this world good. I havent found a good panang since I left DC. They definitely come in a close second. The staff is always friendly, and remembers you. I only have two complaints - they are so slow that in the time I have alloted for lunch I can only get in like three bites than I have to take the rest home. The second I really want a Thai ice tea but they dont have any other options other than dairy milk. I asked for coconut milk but they dont have any. read more

It's a really good Thai restaurant in Canton. I love ordering the Pad Thai because it seems to have this delicious authentic peanut flavor and the Tom Yum Soup spicy sour sweet I love it. Sadly the food is somewhat pricy and the service Is somewhat neglectful. I went to Nisa's one wanting to order take out and there was no one at the counter. I looked over at the seating area and saw the manager having an endless chat with the customers and not paying attention to the front. Didn't want to be rude waited for at least five minutes for service then just walked out and went elsewhere. read more

We asked the waiter for apps and meals to come all at once, told him a couple times, and everything came separately. I love the food here. The prices are reasonable and they serve beer and wine too. The parking is street only so that can get a little tricky if it's busy but there is a side street about a block up that is always free and no parallel parking needed! Nisa's is located in downtown Canton, and there is usually parking available on the street. There is a tiny bar with a few seats right next to the front counter. The dining room is small but has several tables and is simply and tastefully set up and decorated. My girlfriend & I went for the first time a week ago, and we thought it was excellent. The service was great; the waiter was friendly and prompt. They also have some special discounts on select beers. We started with Thai rolls, and they were excellent. I ordered the Kua Gai Noodles, which included chicken lettuce, scallion and turnip. It was fresh and tasty, and the house sauce was the perfect flavor to compliment this dish. The second time I got the Tom Yum soup and the crispy pad Thai, and I would highly recommend both. Lastly, the fried banana dessert was a good way to top off the night. read more

Amazing food with excellent service. I used to live in Canton & I'd eat here frequently and got to know Nisa, who is extremely nice. She may be at the front when you walk in. Nowadays I still get out to Nisa's mostly for dinner. I have taken friends and all them have enjoyed the food & experience at Nisa's. On another note, one day I had placed an order for Pad Thai for takeout and something came up... I called them and told them that I was running late but would be on my way for take out. I explained that I should not have made the order but would come by and didn't want to leave them hanging with my order, but I was told not to worry at all about it. I felt terrible but the lady on the phone insisted that it was not a big deal and was extremely nice & understanding. Needless to say, this is a glimpse into the great service and how they truly care about their customers. I've eaten at Nisa's more than a dozen times and I can say I am always delighted with my food and the experience of dining there. Let me preface by saying that my standards are quite high. I am a RD and foodie, who loves to cook. So when I dine out, it better be great. There is a wealth of vegetarian options, and even without modifications, the dishes are quite healthily prepared (of course a coconut milk-based curry with be rich, but that's the way it goes, and it's worth every calorie!) Nisa's Thai is good but they're stingy with their ingredients! We order more take out and delivery than we dine in. The restaurant seldom has many eat-in diners. All the curry dishes are very good. We especially love the green curry. The masaman curry would be better if the sweet potatoes weren't hard but they consistency never seem cooked through so we don't order it anymore. A bit of advice for Nisa: please try to not be stingy with certain items. For instance, they have really wonderful, refreshing Thai salads, such as the mango salad which consists of thin slices of ripe mango, red onion, tomatoes and iceberg lettuce for $8.95. There's shrimp in it but that's a singular shrimp, and it's a small one. You may think for $8.95, you're getting at least 2 pieces of shrimp but it's actually only one little shrimp that's been split in half to look like 2! For $8.95 people! Just think of the mark up this salad provides the owner. Ditto with their Shrimp Pad Thai. 3 small pieces of shrimp so if you're sharing this dish with someone, you and your dining partner will have to divvy up that third tiny shrimp! Come on Nisa. One more bone of contention is that the owner plays Fox News nonstop so while you're waiting for your order, there it is on tv blaring. The owner often and unwisely engages her customers in discussions of politics and can't help but espouse her conservative, Republican viewpoint, which really displays poor business instincts on her part. She's not a bad lady and is endearing in her own way, but she can't seem to help herself. We just wish she would focus more on satisfying her customers and respecting them by not being so CONSERVATIVE with the portions. Give people their money's worth, and kindly leave the politics alone as the subject matter seldom makes for a good dining companion. read more

I stopped in here to have a quick dinner before I drove home and it was an absolutely wonderful Thai restaurant . They have an extensive menu and service was fast and appetizers were delicious the Thai spring rolls. I had the Pad See Ew with beef extra spicy nice serving and tasted great. I am looking forward to eating lunch and dinner there right around the corner from my office ideal for me. I love Thai food!! Definitely recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone in the neighborhood or driving by Canton I would stop and have my dinner there. read more
