Wanted BBQ and hubby had seen this the NJ Chop Shop on a TV Food show.. I'm always up for some new grub. Found metered parking right out front that required quarters. I learned 4 years ago when I moved here to always have quarters for parking- kinda a no-brainer especially around the Shore. Popped in enough quarters for 2 hrs and we were off to have BBQ. Walked in it was bout 4:30p and it was just starting to fill up. First on the order was 2 Frozen Pina Coladas served in plastic cups- they were not sweet at all, I might pass next time. For appetizers we ordered the Disco Fries- I loved the gravy, hubby liked the cheese, I thought the cheese over powered the dish, but to counter that next time I'll order more gravy on the side. Fried pickles- really good! the dipping sauce was really perfect. Husband had the The Fat Dom and he relished the flavors of it, said that it held up well to his expectations. I ordered the BBQ Sampler and I gotta say that brisket was really good, tender, smoked perfectly and the pulled pork seasoned well and the ribs fall off the bone tender- I really enjoy the slaw here and the beans are a must for me. Mini-Me ordered the full rack of St. Louis Ribs and it was a huge portion, she had to take some of it home. Food Coma for all of us. Great place to bring the family, honestly you can share the platters of food so that every one can sample the goodness. This spot has a few picnic tables located inside the Hershey Motel. I will say, service, food and drinks were excellent. I had a margarita and the bartender did not make it too sweet. The bartender had an excellent personality and made sure we had everything we needed. We had gotten 50/50 wings (which are a combination of honey mustard and buffalo sauce), a pulled pork sandwich, and disco fries. The bartender suggested the flavor for the wings, and they were a hit. Everything came in to go boxes due to COVID, and we were given plastic silverware and napkins to accompany the meal. The food we had (brisket sandwich and a brisket cheesesteak) were tasteless and clearly not smoked bbq brisket, but supermarket bought and microwaved. The baked beans, (again, not genuine baked beans) basically were canned beans someone had added some of the goopy bbq sauce they offered and salsa and that was it. My husband's biscuit was dry, pre-made and store bought as well. Lazily prepared, cheap quality food at expensive prices. It's a perfect scenario, a hotel with guests next door and not much other competition nearby. One thing that struck me was that there was no smell of bbq in restaurant. Ah.mazing!! Food and service was awesome!! Hubby and I took the kids for dinner tonight. It wasn't crowded at 6 pm so we got seated right away. The server checked in on us frequently. We got the bbq wings and totchos for starters. They were so good. The totchos were covered in cheese and ranch and bacon. So bad but so goooooood! I had the fat dom sandwich. It's delicious but too big!! lol I ate half and brought the remainder home. Hubby had the sampler with brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Everything was gone from the cookie sheet they put it on. lol. Came last week while we're vacationing in town and it seemed like options were limited. My daughter got the kids Mac and Cheese and fries which she crushed but it looked pretty basic. My fiancée and I split the wings (great recommendation from another Yelper who suggested the 50/50 wings), the gorilla biscuits, and a pulled pork and bacon topped burger. Biscuits were incredibly dry and it took forever for the waitress to come back to our table to get an additional side of their "award winning" BBQ sauce which tasted very basic. Burger was pretty basic too. I'm very critical of pulled pork and nothing ever lives up to what I smoke so I won't review that. Candied bacon was good, but the burger seemed like it was over cooked but no idea how it was cooked. Didn't have much flavor so almost think it was steamed. Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff. Go later after 7:30 if you want it quieter. Our table of 4 ordered burgers, crab cake sandwich and grilled tuna sandwich. Tuna was requested med, was delivered raw. Fries were greasy and luke warm at best. I asked to have the tuna redone to med. the waitress took only the sandwich and left me the tepid fries, I assume to keep me eating with the rest of the table. I was not interested. When the tuna came back it was cooked, however it came back on the same greasy and now soggy roll, wilted lettuce one old heated sauce. It was not edible. At least dress it up on a new bun! Make a new plate, keep the customer happy. I have to admit I was pissed. I did tell the waitress how I felt and she not only apologized but took my tuna off the check. Not necessary but a nice touch. The burgers we all good as expected, the crabcake was just ok. Most likely will be back but we will stick to the burgers and barbecue. read more

Waited for about 10 mins for a table with a large group. 13 of us but we got split up. After reading reviews I suggested we try the corn fritters. We also ordered buffalo wings and clams for starters. Everything was delicious. Corn fritters were whole kernels in a batter and fried, lightly sweet and delicious. Came with mustard for dipping. The clam broth had lots of flavor I would suggest asking for extra bread for dipping. Buffalo wings were good but for my liking a touch too salty. Almost tasted like 50% BBQ and 50% buffalo sauce. I went with the brunch burger that came with American cheese, bacon, a fried egg and smashed fries. The burger was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was thick and juicy, paired with a fried egg with a runny yolk = very messy but worth it for its deliciousness. Fries on the burger was a little unnecessary because you get fries on the side. I've had a lot of burgers in my life and this was one of the best I've had. Burger was $13. I was at a table with 8 people we got 4 apps, 6 pitchers of beer and entrees (all burgers and sandwiches) with tax and tip came to $30 a person. We stopped in yesterday after looking for a place we haven't yet been to in the area. How can we go wrong with BBQ? You really can't. This place had some great food. Attached to a hotel, it's right on one of the main drags. Easily accessable with parking on the side. When we walked in, we noticed it had more of a diner feel to it than a BBQ joint. No matter, if the food is good who really cares? We also noticed that there was 1 waitress/hostess/cashier. On a Monday afternoon, I realize it's not that busy, but this will come into play in a bit. We sat down and looked at the drinks menu (Yes they have alcohol). The girl working came over to take our drink orders, I $h*& you not, I asked for 6 different beers on the menu and they were all out. I finally found a can of Liney Shandy that was actually in stock. We ordered the corn fritters to start. They were absolutely delicious. A bit hot (temp wise), but I couldn't stop. We polished them off and were ready for our amazing burgers. I got the Chop Burger, which is a burger made from brisket, short rib and I think pork, whatever it's insanely good. The burger is topped with bbq sauce, pulled pork and candied bacon. It was cooked to perfection and huge. My fiancee had the Brunch Burger, same meat patty with regular bacon, a sunny side up egg and french fries smashed onto the burger. We loved the meal. Now, here was the bit of a problem. Besides not having most of the beers on menu in stock, as well it not being terribly busy, the service could have been much better. I mean the girl was nice and all, but she was alone, besides the cook. There were 3 tables. A large group of young twenty somethings, us and two older women. The girl got wrapped up in conversation with the younger table, neglecting the others. She forgot to get us some condiments, because of being preoccupied. I came here about a year ago for a graduation party and the food was great. I just happened to pass by on Sunday looking for somewhere for breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they served it. We sat outside, which was lovely, the only thing I wish is that all the outdoor tables had umbrellas set up, ours was missing one and it was pretty hot but luckily a table that had one got up to leave and my husband grabbed it! Their coffee is legitimately fantastic! My waitress, who was lovely, told me its folgers!!! I don't know how they can make folgers taste so good and I brew expensive coffee and it's terrible! There was some sort of issue at another table and they were really being cruel to the waitress I really felt bad for her! I really can't comprehend how someone can be so angry and nasty over $7 eggs when they are away on vacation. As long as you keep my coffee coming I'm happy! She was very nice and Unfortunately I can't think of her name! I had the platter that came with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and homefries. It was so good! For an empty place they have no service. Of course people are behind the bar but they are just talking. Our waitress brought over our app which were the gorilla biscuits. The brisket was very tough and needed more sauce on it. Once we were done had to wait about 15 min to get our plates cleared and a refill on our drinks too. The mix drink and beer cane in plastic cups like we were at a club on the strip. Also our waitress did not tells us about any specials and we didn't realize until after we put our order in because it was on a chalk board with no light so very hard to read. They need to put a door blocking the kitchen from patrons from seeing inside. About 30 min after our appetizer out came the food. Some how a table of 10 that seated and order after us got their food before us, imagine if this place was crowded. The burgers were half way decent nothing spectacular. There was only one waitress that was working the whole time but she wasn't ours . The other two were at the bar on their phones. Only one check in from our waitress to see how we were doing.
