I understand that mistakes happen, but I'm not a fan of a business not owning up to the mistake and expressing that it was the customer's fault. Today I stopped in to grab a couple of bagels for breakfast. When I received the order, the employee looked me in the eye, said my name and then handed me the bag. She knew it was for me, or at least that is what her actions said. It was the wrong order. When I went back to get it corrected, the manager made excuses that two people's order came out at the same time. When I told her that my name wasn't what she was claiming a that their employee called my name and handed me the order, she argued that it was not what happened. The bagels weren't great either. The result? A complete disaster. When my guests opened the wraps from the box, almost every single sandwich contained meat which was completely unexpected and It was deeply embarrassing. Hoping for a quick resolution, I called the store and offered to drive right back down to pick up a corrected order. Instead of making it right, the staff member flatly refused. I was told it was "peak time," the line was out the door, and that I could "order online or stand in line again." The sheer audacity to expect a customer--whose order you just completely ruined--to wait in line all over again while guests sit at home starving is mind-boggling. With zero options and hungry guests including kids, I was forced to order basic bagels from this exact same store via DoorDash just to feed everyone. After the party, I went back to the store to address it. All I got was a casual, "Sorry about that, the person who took the order is new." Please help me understand how that excuse saves me from the embarrassment I faced in front of my guests. To put this into perspective: 10 out of the 12 sandwiches were completely wrong. Only two sandwiches and the coffee box were correct. Looking at recent reviews, I see I'm not the first person this has happened to. Management needs to wake up and take this seriously. Yesterday 7-25, I had an extremely upsetting and unsafe experience at this Noah's NY Bagels location that I feel people should be aware of. While pouring myself a cup of coffee, I accidentally spilled a small amount and, out of respect (as someone who used to be a waitress), I grabbed a few napkins to clean it up myself. To my shock, a man in the store began yelling at me aggressively and loudly in both English and Spanish, angrily questioning why I was using so many napkins and cursing at me. I didn't respond or even look at him because I currently work with people with special needs, and I genuinely thought he might be experiencing a mental health crisis or have developmental challenges. My first concern was safety for myself and for those around me. I stayed silent because I was afraid he might become physically violent, and also because in today's world, even victims can be misrepresented if caught on camera defending themselves. Despite the man escalating to the point of recording me and continuing to yell and harass me, none of the staff or the manager intervened. Not a single employee asked him to stop or leave. They simply stood by and allowed the harassment to continue in front of other customers. This was my first visit to this particular location, and unfortunately, it will be my last. Compared to the Noah's NY Bagels locations in Walnut Creek, San Francisco, and Oakland, this one felt unsafe, poorly managed, and noticeably lacking in cleanliness. Even the food was subpar the bagels were dry and barely had any filling. The owner seriously needs to invest in proper staff training and safety protocols. The food quality is very good but the service has been pretty bad as of late. My last 3 visits, my order as been totally screwed up. First one, I ordered an extra egg on my breakfast sandwich...also ordered 1 plain bagel and 1 cinnamon raisin bagel. I went in with no expectations. I hadn't been to this location before. It was convenient and the parking was easy. The place was very clean. The service was fast once they bothered to notice us. It took a minute for them to see me and two other customers. They didn't seem remotely busy, so it was noticeable. My bagel came as ordered, but it wasn't cut very well. I had to rip half of it apart, do my sandwich collapsed. That made it really messy to eat. My bagel came with chips and a pickle. I didn't really want either, so nothing to comment on except that you won't leave hungry. The food quality was fine. The staff was relatively civil. We order bagels for our job and every time I come here I am always disappointed about their customer service. I feel like if I even ask a question they will get mad at me. This is not the first interaction. The first time was the person with glasses and he looked annoyed when i was giving him my order. I've heard so much about Noah's Bagels, I knew I had to try when we passed by. There used to be a location in Berkeley, but it unfortunately closed, so I was super excited to finally get my hands on a bagel. Not going to lie, when I visited this Yelp page, I was a bit alarmed at how many negative reviews there were. It seems as if most of the reviews aren't speaking to the quality of the bagels, but rather the customer service. Luckily, when I visited (a weekday around closing), we had no problems and the staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a turkey avocado with an egg white bagel, and my friend ordered a cheese pizza bagel. My bagel came on an ancient grain bagel, which honestly I was a bit worried about. I thought it would taste extremely healthy and grainy, but to my surprise, it meshed well with the avocado and egg white! The bagel was toasted, which made the consumption process rather pleasant. They added a lot of toppings to my bagel, so eating it was a bit difficult, but love the generous portions! You can generally swap out any bagel type if you order one of their bagel options on the menu! Of course, since we went around closing, they ran out of most of their most popular ingredients. I love Everything bagels, but I'm pretty sure that was probably one of the first bagels to sell out. Located next to the Safeway on Santa Rita Rd and there's plenty of parking. I picked the variety box (I didn't count the bagels but there were at least 12 of them in there!) plus two tubs of cream cheese ($18). There's a fridge with the different kinds of cream cheese and you just grab them. I got the plain cream cheese and the garden veggie. I believe if you get the variety box, it already comes with the cream cheese. The garden veggie cream cheese was delicious! I've also tried the honey almond one before and definitely liked that one too. For the bagels, you can choose if you want them sliced or not. Bagels were soft and fresh! I want to try their breakfast sandwiches next time when I'm not in a grab-in-go moment. Service was quick and the cashier who assisted me was nice and helpful. read more

I would like to comment on the store located on Santa Rita Rd, Pleasanton, Ca. Me and my Fiancé stopped in to get a bagel for the 1st time on Sunday 01/27/25. As we are new to Pleasanton. We were standing at the register trying to figure out what we wanted since they were out of the Jalepeno bagels, I walked over to see what bagels they did have, when I turned to go back to the register, I didn't realize that the guy that was helping us moved over to the farther register until someone yelled at me saying "Excuse me, Excuse me" when I realized that was meant for me, I was embarrassed and shocked and hurried over so she could help a couple behind me. At that point it was if we were rushed into making a decision as to what we wanted. There was nobody else behind us, but we just ordered whatever. As we were sitting eating our food the same employee came out that yelled at me to clean we thought, but she was talking on her cell phone very loudly and cussing, and slamming chairs around until she finally hung up on the person.
