Cheddar jalapeño bagel and a black coffee
    Salvador Z.

Shout out to Lynette and Cindy for their amazing customer service. Upon taking my order, Lynette showed me how I could get a couple of free bagels by completing a three minute survey. Then as I was leaving, Cindy gave me a couple of bacon strips for my dog who was patiently waiting for me outside the shop. Lynette and Cindy, you are awesome! My go to bagel is the cheddar jalapeño toasted with cream cheese. Hits the spot every time!

Was in the mood for breakfast during the week. Decided to have some Noah's. Ordered the pork sausage and cheddar. Along with a twice baked hash brown. I wish the sausage wasn't so thin. I couldn't taste it much. I tasted mostly the cheese. The twice baked hash brown was already too cheesy as it is. Not too much of a fan of their hash brown. Maybe I'll try a different breakfast sandwich next time.

Yesterday 7-25, I had an extremely upsetting and unsafe experience at this Noah's NY Bagels location that I feel people should be aware of. While pouring myself a cup of coffee, I accidentally spilled a small amount and, out of respect (as someone who used to be a waitress), I grabbed a few napkins to clean it up myself. To my shock, a man in the store began yelling at me aggressively and loudly in both English and Spanish, angrily questioning why I was using so many napkins and cursing at me. I didn't respond or even look at him because I currently work with people with special needs, and I genuinely thought he might be experiencing a mental health crisis or have developmental challenges. My first concern was safety for myself and for those around me. I stayed silent because I was afraid he might become physically violent, and also because in today's world, even victims can be misrepresented if caught on camera defending themselves. Despite the man escalating to the point of recording me and continuing to yell and harass me, none of the staff or the manager intervened. Not a single employee asked him to stop or leave. They simply stood by and allowed the harassment to continue in front of other customers. This was my first visit to this particular location, and unfortunately, it will be my last. Compared to the Noah's NY Bagels locations in Walnut Creek, San Francisco, and Oakland, this one felt unsafe, poorly managed, and noticeably lacking in cleanliness. Even the food was subpar the bagels were dry and barely had any filling. The owner seriously needs to invest in proper staff training and safety protocols. Customers should never be left to endure harassment like this alone, especially when they are doing nothing wrong.

    Squished roach

If I could give 0 star I would! I ordered a bagel 3/23 to go and when I got home i noticed something squished on the inner side of the wrapper. When I examined it further I noticed that it was a squished roach. So disgusting please don't shop there!

good breakfast spot for a simple salmon cream cheese bagel. I liked it :) The cream cheese was delicious and felt different than other cream cheeses i've had, it was flavor packed

Everything bagel with onion and chive cream cheese

The bagels aren't bad but the cafe and service were subpar. When you first walk into the shop it is not the cleanest with sticky tables and generally unclean creamer and condiment area. They do have an extensive menu but staff was not the most patient or helpful answering questions. The bagels themselves are not bad but definitely not spectacular. I asked for mine toasted and definitely could not tell it was toasted. They load it up with a lot of cream cheese. However, I ordered onion and chive cream cheese and could barely taste the onion or chive (it was basically regular cream cheese). However, the bagels are priced well and great if you just want a quick, filling, breakfast.

You can tell when someone truly cares about what they do, and it shows in every bite. The flavors were bold, perfectly balanced, and somehow even better than I imagined. It felt like every detail was done with passion and pride. And the person behind it all? Super kind, welcoming, and clearly talented. Watching someone put that much love into their cooking is rare these days. I walked in expecting a normal meal... and left completely blown away. If you ever get the chance to try their food, do it--you'll understand why I'm still talking about it!

The lox croissandwich was good, however, I asked for tomato because I needed an added flavor profile and the saltiness of the lox made me want more hydration in the bite. I usually don't like capers but today they were fine. Croissant was toasted nicely. Service: excellent. A pretty woman greeted us quickly and because it was such a beautiful day, she was coming out to bring our meals and drinks back and forth. She brought us our drinks. My drink was supposed to be with almond milk but I suspected it may have been regular milk. Although I disclose that I rarely order black sesame; it was very very sweet so I ended up not taking a chance and drinking it. My husband and daughter had vanilla lattes and lemonade with their breakfast bacon sandwich and salad. My daughter wanted to go there again today. (Posting a day later). The ambiance was very nice. I had never been to this downtown area. We were across the street from a really cute historic gas station. Great seating for people watching and enjoying the warming heat of summer on the patio. Really lovely experience at Bocado.

However the game host ended up coming out and trying to engage people to play and the speakers were so loud we couldn't hear each other. Not sure how long this burger joint has been here, but I've always known of it by passing by many, many times over the course of 30+ years. But only tried just recently. There's seating both inside and outside. Inside the walls are totally covered with pictures of classic cars/trucks and interestingly enough of horse racing culture, since the county fairgrounds are super nearby. Pics of horses from past generations and their jockeys and owners. I thought that was an interesting local imprint. Mushroom Swiss Burger ($11/4*) So 'giant burger' is in their name. Even though the patty itself isn't monstrous, maybe a 1/3 lb at most, it is quite sizeable, much bigger than most fast food versions. After scarfing down my burger, I'd say I was slightly fuller than eating a double at In & Out. But this was also almost double on what I'd pay at In & Out. But since I'm a quintessential old schooler myself, I'll pay this price of admission here, no prob. The Burger Patty: Nice and juicy. Good quality and just flat top griddled. I had to season my patty with a little salt n pep from those packets. There's a special sauce that flavors the sandwich, a mayo/ketchup blend is my guess. The Produce: They use shredded lettuce and everything was quite fresh. Just very messy as lots of things will spill out on each bite. The cooked mushrooms were a little light but still noticeable in most bites. The Cheese: The 'swiss' labeled is basically a white colored American cheese, super soft and gooey. Not my fave, but a burger may be the only time I welcome American cheese. The Bun: They use basic sesame American buns. Super factory quality, but again for the basic American burger experience, I think this is fine. Just wished they toasted it more, as it became a mushy mess after even just halfway through. I'd say the bun was my least favorite aspect of this burger experience. Onion Rings ($7ish/5*): My friend said he saw them use a frozen product to drop in the fryer. But damn this was one of the best onion rings I've ever had from a burger joint. Super crisp, just oily enough and no artificial factory flavor. I could taste the onion and the crisp batter, and that batter stayed crisp for the whole meal, even after it cooled a bit. These are a must here. Fries: I tried a small handful from my friends bag as we were sharing our sides. They are of medium thickness and they crisp them nice. They also salt them with a good shake, and the oil they use seemed very clean. Even at Mc Donalds I'll often get grossed out by fries cooked in old oil. Blech! Not here, quite proper. I'm throwing them a fiver, just to show that a fiver doesn't have to be mind-blowing or life changing. Just has to fulfill expectations with a smile, and make me leave satisfied and happy. Check, check...and check!
